(SP-F1) <Earning A Living> Quest

Recommended Posts

Having finally or the hang of most of the system Hirokal figured it was time to start doing the smartest thing you can do as a starting player. Quests. As all players know quests give rewards that you can use to help yourself advance in levels and get stronger. Hirokal swiped his hand through the air causing the game menu to appear. He then tapped the quests menu and scrolled through. Suddenly, he found what he was looking for. "Let's see. It's called <>. By doing this I'll be able to gain a proffession from an NPC as long as I bring mats for then to teach me. This could be helpful," Hirokal said as he read through the description. When he went to hit accept a mini window appeared showing the different professions. I plan on being quick so I guess making my own leather armor would be smart since it's durable and light, Hirokal thought. He scrolled through the choses and finally found tailoring. He hit accept and heard a ringing as the game accepted his chose.

Hirokal stepped out into the fields having exited the towns safe zone. He was in dangerous territory now since he was still low leveled. He looked about for something to kill for some mats. Since he was doing this for leather cows and boars sounded reasonable to him. Taking a step forward he began to get further from the town so as to possibly reach any spawn zones that might be nearby. It took him approximately half an hour just to reach a good area. It appeared that people must've been farming the things around here but there were about two boars in from of him. He grabbed a stone nearby and targeted it at one of the boars so as to seperate them.

--Boar's Turn--

Hirokal's shot hit the boar hard. It was a little annoyed by this causing it to look around. It's friend on the other hand was unawares due to the system not picking him up since he wasn't really nearby. When the boar spotted him it charged being pretty pissed with the cheap shot that Hirokal took.

In its haste it missed a pothole that was in its track causing it to stumble and fall in front of Hirokal.

Hirokal stepped back trying to prepare to dodge the boar. It was moving to fast though. Even if he tried he'd still get hit. He clenched up ready for the impact. Instead, he heard a loud squeal, then a thud, which was followed by the sound of something sliding against the ground. Hirokal looked to the ground to find the boar collapsed on the ground and attempting to get back up.

This is my chance now, Hirokal thought. He jumped back and drew his sword. Taking his usual fighting stance, his sword to his right side and body set forward to the left, he prepared to attack. His sword skill started to activate as he activated his starting motion. Within moments the blade was an iridescent blue and he leaped forward slashing at the boar. It made contact slicing through the monster leaving a red animated slash through the thing.

--Boar's Turn--

The beast made a loud noise like that of a scream in pain as the Hirokal made the cut through it. It was not happy with this kid. First he hits him with a stone and then cuts him while he's still down. This kid had to pay. The boar wheeled around in protest and started to charge at the kid.

Hirokal was tensed up. His legs bent almost into a squating position. Waiting for the right timing he jumped to the side dodging the boar.

Hirokal had just dodged the boar and was preparing to attack once more. While he was still in mid air he raises his blade straight over his head. Waiting a few seconds the blade became it's irredescent blue color once more. Swing forward he started to speed down to the ground straight at the boar.

Sadly, it just wasn't in the cards for him. Hirokal shot right by the thing. He landed about a foot or two away from the boar and his blade was now buried into the ground from his attack. This was not going to turn out well.

--Boar's Turn--

The boar was a little startled by the suddenness of the boy falling near him. Yet, when he saw that he was stuck in the ground it got really excited. It started to grind it's foot into the ground and prepare to attack the boy. Charging forward it aimed for Hirokal hoping to deal some damage.

Hirokal was sent flying as the boar made contact with him. He started to skid across the ground about ten feet away from his sword. Damn pig. I'm going to kill you, he thought.

Hirokal rolled over and got up on his hands. Taking a deep breath he got up and started sprinting towards his sword. This pig had to die, and it had to die right here and now. Grabbing his sword out of the ground, he continued running pulling his sword back behind him and then launching an attack.

Hirokal flashed forward as his sword skill took effect. The air was streaked with the blue coloring as he flashed towards the boar. He rammed his blade straight into the boar. The boar collapsed and then expanded before becoming small, shiny, octoganol patterns that flew into the sky. Finally, Hirokal thought sighing.

A screen appeared in front of him telling him congratulations. Then another appeared saying he'd leveled up now.

With the new level Hirokal was able to rank up his sword skill another time now. He hit accept and a congratulations appeared saying that his One-Handed Sword skill had gone from Rank 1 to 2. I can only keep getting stronger, Hirokal thought. He rolled his shoulders from the tension trying to loosen them before he continued into another fight.

After awhile Hirokal felt ready to go. He walked over to the boar and stopped a short distance from it. Taking up his stance he prepared to attack this one now. His blade started to change to it's blue coloring but now it was stronger and brighter than before. Launching himself forward he aimed to kill the boar. Slashing his sword at the boar he ripped straight through it causing red lights to explode from the monster. Within moments it blew up into small fractal octagons. "That was easier than the last one. I really am getting stronger," Hirokal said to himself smiling.

Hirokal opened up his menu. He tapped his inventory and saw that he had gotten one boar leather so far. Well I can still definitely use more leather and the more types I have the better quality stuff I can make, Hirokal thought. There was likely to be a ton of leathers that he could use but starting out he'd need usual game basics. After a little thinking he chose he go to the crossing fields to hunt some wolves.

He began walking in the direction of the crossing fields but was lost in thought of what he could make. There was a ton of clothing he could basically make. Like cloaks, pants, boots, leather body tops, etc. then there was the leathers like the one he'd gotten from the boar, he could get some from the wolves, and he could maybe get dragon leather. Who knew what else.

When Hirokal finally reached the fields he saw a couple of wolves all around one area. This was what he was looking for. He drew his sword back out and started charging forward as he charged his skill preparing to launch his attack. As he came closer he slashed at the wolves hoping to hit one of them and deal some heavy damage.

Hirokal's blade slashed the wolf closest to him, maiming its body easily. The wolf howled out in pain and turned to face its attacker. It was furious with the player.

Hirokal had just dodged the wolf's attack. He couldn't take to much damage. That would especially hard to prevent with this being a small pack. If he didn't get them fast he'd end up dead. Even the idea caused a shiver to travel down his spine. He shook his head trying to get rid of the foreboding feeling. He brought his sword back and then struck forward trying to finish the wolf off.

Yet instead of hitting the wolf he over shot his strike and ended up falling forward a bit completely missing the wolf. This wouldn't turn out well for him.

The next wolf started to prowl around Hirokal as he was now on the ground. It was large, mangy, and looked hungry now that Hirokal had a better look. It started to growl and get a wolffish grin (haha) almost as if it was laughing at him. It then stopped and tried to snap at Hirokal ,but Hirokal was ready. Spinning on to his back he kicked the wolf away from him sending it flying through the air. He then jumped up and away from the pack so as to give some temporary distance. Got to think carefully about my moves or this could end badly, Hirokal thought.

Hirokal circled around he wolves as the wolves did the exact same. He needed to look for an opening against these guys. There had to be an easy way to kill then fast but they were working well as any pack should. He found it hard to really do anything against these beasts currently. They prowled around creating a circle with him. Their shoulders rolling as the crouched looking for their own opening. Hirokal finally saw a point to attack and break them up. He slashed forward at them trying to reach one of the wolves so as to kill it. Instead he tripped on his own legs causing him to stumble backwards as e tried to catch his balance and not fall into the wolves.
