Finally, realizing that his tactic wouldnt work the horned lizard moved again (1444, BD, craft 10, 8 mob) this time rolling onto its side just as Celes bagan her attack, She fell off, partially crushed by the attack (Dmg 3, DM2, craft heal 1=0) The soft sand cushioned her as she made her way out, preparing to attack again. (1445 BD 10, mob 2) She stabbed upward with her spear slicing into his softer belly (DMG 7+2 crit-2 DM=7). The monster rolled off her again, trying to do damage but unable to hurt her.  Once more he attacked just as she attacks, their hits touching each other (1446 BD 5+2 ACC, mob 7) she hit, just as he did, destroying him in the process. 

 

She lay there in the sand for a moment. this NPCs cargo better be worth the trouble. She was not happy.

Celes began to move northwest, while in the third quadrant she came across another sand worm, but proceeded to run like hell, she was in no mood to fight it. Once she was back in town she went to the npc. Tired, battered, and mentally exhausted she walked over and said "Here, I have your cargo, now please, I must rest." her HUD promted

She looked at it for a moment, registering...survival, yes... she... survived...

 

she wearily walked back to the inn, falling asleep on the bed without more than a sigh.
