Now by any means does this make him worthless, He is quite responsible with his job as an electrician. Due to his job and Gaming habits, he refuses to go out and see the world for what it really is. he claims that "The vitrual world is all I need to feel truly alive." He has had no girlfriends, and no jobs previous to being an electrician. He started MMOs at the age of 14 and continues to "MMO jump" often. He has play many many different kinds but upon hearing SAO's announcement, his dream has come true. A Game where you can fully immerse yourself in a virtual world by "Diving". He pre-ordered, obtained, and immediately hooked up the Nervegear. Taking off the first two days of work for SAO's release. As he enters this world, awed by its beauty and design, he learns after the fated meeting with Kayaba Akihiko that he is now stuck in this virtual world along with the other players as well. A bit traumatized at first he regains his posture and sets foot out into the world, and Hopefully help be a hero to free the souls that Kayaba has claimed.» Virtues: Courageous: As MMOs are concerned. Bastion always played apart of the role to boost morale by being one of the few to charge in first Protector: Bastion cherishes each player in an MMO as a real soul. Therefore, he attempts to save any player in his party from certain death. If that player feels out numbered or outclassed, Bastion would join to tip the scales. Firmly believes that NO-ONE should die alone. Team Player: Bastion always works with his party to clear any task before them. Though not a Leader, he does try and follow any plans set before them and can adjust accordingly.» Flaws: Ailurophobia: As a child, when visiting his great grandmothers house, Bastion was alone in a room with two cats. At the time he loved all animals, however the two cats were never socialized with other people from outside the house. Bastion attempted to corner one of the felines in attempt to pet one, Resulting in the cat violently defending itself. Bastion did have to go to the hospital due to how young he was and a lot of scratches to his face that caused a lot of bleeding. From then on, Bastion has always feared being around cats or even cat-like characters in other MMOs Eisoptrophobia: At the age of 10, Bastions older brother, Astiel, trapped him inside the bathroom and as a prank flickered the lights on and off. Bastion was already scared of the dark but upon seeing himself in the mirror, He cried out for help and screamed bloody murder to be saved. After Astiel opened the door he saw his little brother on the ground crying. As Astiel went to touch him to try and show in he was okay, Bastion lost his sanity, screaming and yelling constantly. A year later of mental therapy he is able to look at mirrors, but only briefly. The memory of what he saw was engraved in his mind forever, always afraid of whats on the other side of mirrors or reflections. Indecisive: Bastion is a great party member, however when the time comes to make an important decision, He tenses up, growing nervous, even impossible to get a word out of him at times. He is a follower, not a leader. He always liked to follow commands or plans others may have. So making important decisions always troubled him, afraid to make the wrong choice and lose friends on the process. Soft-Hearted: Bastion always comes to aid for those who need it, even in the real world. as long as it is somewhat morally correct. He gains joy to assist those in need and feel as if he was a hero to them.
