Sol waited outside the gate to the town of beginnings, yawning due to it being morning. Sol wasn't too much of a morning person to begin with but, all is well in this game no real schedules to abide by, except the ones you want to make... Like this one. Sol had made an appointment with Destiny, his newest friend he made in this world. He wanted to get revenge on a monster for a terrible battle that nearly claimed their lives. Sol's blood began to boil some upon even thinking about it. "...Stupid Priss... Stupid Boar.. Stupid Bow..." He continued to mumble about the mishap of yesterdays combat. Maybe today would be different he thought.

 

With his mind set on a different outcome, Sol pulled out some material to attempt to cook a lunch for the two to have. Sol grinned feeling a little more lucky than he did yesterday. "Alright, here is how today will go. I will cook something delicious! We will kill that stupid boar! And we will become awesome!" He said to himself as he pulled out a kitchen knife and cutting board. He continues to make a small cooking fire and preps for a simple and hopefully not burnt meal. Sol readies himself and pointed the knife at the ingredients on the cutting board. "Okay... I can do this! Just got to focus..."

Sol gulps as he taps the knife on his ingredients as they were cut right this time around. He blinked and gave a smile. "Alright!" Next he puts the cut meat over the fire and begins to roast it, watching it until it looks like a correct color. "Come-on... little more.... there!" He puts the meat away from the fire as he takes a slight smell as his mouth began to water. Sol continues to add seasonings to give the fire roasted meat a good taste. "Perfect!" Sol pulls the meat away from the fire and places it on some bread he has, making a big single sandwich. He continues to add various items such as lettuce and cream. Putting the sandwich together and cutting it in half for two servings. Sol gave off a giddy laugh, He actually made something this time and it wasn't slop! "Perfect! We will celebrate with these!" Sol carefully wraps the two servings of the sandwich and put them away before Destiny arrives.

Meanwhile, Destiny was already up at the crack of dawn.  Destiny was raised as an early riser so for her this was completely normal. Destiny was sitting outside on what seemed like to her; a fence of sorts looking at the skyline as the sun slowly began to rise. It amazed her how this world; full of grief, loss and spite still had some beauty to it.  The sunrise had eerie parallels to the sunrises that she saw at home on her morning bike rides.  “This place here….†She thought to herself “Has a strange way of giving one the strangest perplexed emotions..† Destiny let go of her grip on the fence that she was sitting on and let her body fall down to the grass behind her.  Granted that it was a bit of a distance away; she didn’t care.  She was so ambivalent to her emotions and thoughts.  As Destiny fell to the ground she watched the sunrise dissipate from her view.  As her body came down to the grown it felt like her bed at home; fluffy and comforting. For a while Destiny laid in the grass in awe with her state of emotions and mind.  She ran her fingers through the leaves of grass and continued to view the sky and the many colors of yellow, orange and blue swirled together.

 

Destiny sighed as the sun began its way to full rise.  “….What will I do today…† she thought to herself as she rolled over onto her stomach.  Destiny rested her chin under her hands; half her face being covered by grass.  She nuzzled it as she breathed in the smell.  It reminded her of the days that she spent on the field.  All the running, throwing, catching and diving.  There wasn’t much like that in the world that she could compare it to.  It was like this impeccable freedom to fly through the air; soaring as she was attempting to catch up with the others.  “I miss it…† She thought to herself, “I miss being home… I miss..† The more she dwelled on the issue the more her emotions began to swell.  Granted that she didn’t have the greatest time getting to know others and even when she was on the team; they didn’t really acknowledge her presence unless necessary, she felt like she was accepted among them.  She belonged.  â€œNo…No. no.†She said to herself as she pushed her face into the grass moving her head side to side shaking ‘no.’

 

“Wait.†She thought to herself.  “Wasn’t there something….?† Destiny immediately got up and sat on her calves, and stared blankly into the distance attempting to remember. “Don’t I have something going on today..?† Destiny took her scarf and put it against her lips, rubbing it back and forth; she had her left arm under her right arm propping it off; she did this as she thought to herself. “UGH.†She said to herself as she rolled her eyes and dropped the scarf.  “I was meeting with Sol today.† Destiny proceed to face palm.  “Stupid stupid stupid.†She repeated to herself as she proceeded to pick herself up from her position.   “Alright†she said as she let out a sigh.  Destiny checked the time.  “Well…… I’m not really THAT late…It is still pretty early.  I doubt he is even up; I mean.. no natural person is up this early.† She said in an attempt to convince herself; then once realizing that she stated that she was not a natural person.  “Well.. I guess I might as well as make my way on over there.† Destiny stretched a bit against the fence and then began to run.  As she ran a few tears followed behind her.  “This is freedom.† She thought to herself.

Upon his putting away of his 2 «Hogway Sandwiches», Sol put away the rest of his cooking supplies and cleaned up his mess. "Step one complete, now... Miss Priss... You're next on the schedule!" He shouted at the gate as he pulled out his spear and pointed at the sky as he began to mock battle a boar. "First I do this! Then this! and Finally~ Finish it off with my Azure Thrust Technique~! Yeah!" Sol continued to play around, waking up and filled with energy and craving revenge on that dreaded boar. The suns rays landing on the gates with a beautiful sight of the fields from his position.

 Destiny kept on running as long as her legs could carry her. It was fun, and she could certainly get carried away, but that wouldn’t be today since it was a race against time for her.  As she slowed her run to stop she spotted Sol stabbing the sky. “Uh.. Do you need to be institutionalized? She said as she slowly began her walk towards him. "Or is it that you have been stuck in here for too long?"

Sol continues his energetic attack at the imaginary boar. Hearing a familiar voice, a signal to his brain told him to immediately stop. Doing so rather abruptly, Sol managed to drop his spear, trip, and hit the ground, looking over to see Destiny walking toward him. Sol blushed out of sheer embarrassment. "Ah~... G-Good morning Destiny!"

 

He quickly got up brushing himself off and sheathed his weapon, playing like nothing happened. "H-How are you today?" He purposely ignored her question with another question to ask her instead. "I'm not crazy... just excited is all." He thought as he gave a nervous smile.

Destiny gave him a questioning look as she watched him fumble. "Uh.... I'm good...Listen if you don't feel well to go out, don't feel like you have to."  She said questioningly. "I mean... Honestly, you don't want to stab yourself with your own weapon.. Not to mention I kind of want to stab you with that spear."  She said with a bit of a laugh at the end. 

 

"Anywho." She said with a relaxed tone as she rested herself against a wall; having one leg propped up against it.  She leaned there with her arms crossed and relaxed the back of her head against the wall as well.  "How is cooking going?  I haven't chosen a profession myself.  Still pondering that; along with other things..." she said while she was staring off into the distance like she was focusing hard.

Sol laughed with Destiny. The part bout her stabbing him with his own Spear was a bit morbid and his hearty laugh turned into a nervous one. "Y-You wouldn't do that to me, right?" Sol shook his head to get his nervousness out of his system and come back to his confident self. "Anyway... Cooking! Yeah, Have I got a surprise later... Just wait until then... I promise it will be good and not what I fed Claim the other night." He reassured himself.

 

Sol listened to her sentence stray quieter and quieter as she began to stare into the distance. "Well... I'm sure you'll find something out that you will want to do." He said as a boost in morale. "So, You ready for today's Task at hand?" He smirked ready to go out and fight with Destiny. This time their fight will end differently!

Destiny responded to his nervous question with a quiet “Pishhh.†She listened on about his surprise. “Yeah. A surprise?  What? Is it going to be?  Another zombie incident with that moronic friend of his?†She thought to herself. “Why am I being so mean….? Eh….â€

 

“Sure.† Destiny said as she let the word slowly come out of her mouth.  Destiny didn’t know what made her mood suddenly change; but something did.  “Maybe if I just focus..† She thought to herself. "Alright, Sol. You lead the way and I'll follow."  She gestured for him to take the lead.

Sol grinned, his optimism overflowing. "Today is a new day! Today we will be victorious!!" He began to walk forward into the fields, travelling out into the wilderness.

As they roamed the fields they came across a regular boar. Simple and effective to warm up for the day. "Alright, Same as Last time. Me first then you. Are you ready?" Sol drew his polearm out ready to charge into battle upon Destiny saying she is ready.

 Destiny just stared at Sol blankly.  His extreme optimism was wearing on her.  “Alright, whatever this guy is on; I want to be on it too.†She thought to herself.

 

As Destiny was following Sol through the fields she observed Sol take out his pole.  Destiny hadn’t really been listening to him the entire time because she was wrapped within her thoughts. “Uh… Sure?†she said as she slowly grabbed her sword.  Destiny laughed slightly at Sol. "Granted that this kid is kind of getting on my nerves with his happiness; it is actually kind of funny." she thought to herself.

Sol dashed forward, charging into battle. He jumped up, twirling his spear with great coordination and crashed down with his blade, landing gracefully but barely missing the boar. Sol shouted out. "Destiny Now!" to give Destiny the queue to charge into the fight.

The Boar began to panic, running in a circle in fear of being attacked, not making any progress to where he was going or what he was doing now.

Destiny began sauntering her way over to the boar. Part way through her saunter she let out a sigh.  “Meh.†She said.  She started to run toward the boar.  Destiny took a swing.  “Oh look.†She said in a pretty subpar tone.  â€œI missed…† Destiny began swinging her sword in the air, as if she was upset at something invisible next to her.  “What….the…†she thought to herself.  Destiny has yet to actually hit a single monster and she had been in the game for some time now.

“Alright Sol.†Destiny said as she stood there with her arms crossed and her sword still in one hand; her eyes closed because she was pretty fed up by now.  â€œYour turn.†She said in a monotone voice.

Sol took note that Destiny missed. "Don't give up!  Get Ready!" Sol pulls his spear up and slams it down on the Boar. Hitting it with a good amount of force with the blade. Sol retracts the spear quickly to see what the Boar will do next.

The boar reels back and turns to Sol with glowing eyes. The smack hit the boar right on the butt. causing it to be angered fiercely. The Boar charged Sol, head butting him with a great force to send Sol onto his butt. "Oof!" He looks up at the boar that kicks his feet back in preparation for another charge. "Eh... N-Nice boar!"

“You alright there bud?!†She yelled over to Sol seeing that he took a hit from the boar.  â€œAlright….†She thought to herself. Destiny was pretty upset about her **** luck thus far.  It was pretty much bull at this point.

 

Since it was her turn to take a strike at the boar she attempted to.  Destiny ran towards the boar.  However, instead of hitting the boar; she managed to run directly into it and flipping over the boar doing a whole 270 degree over it and to the ground.  “Smart…†she said to herself.  Destiny then proceeded to drop her sword and just sat down a short distance away from the boar.

Destiny sat over there, cursing to herself; wallowing in her shame at this point.

The boar turns around, staring at Destiny as it tripped over her. The boar kicked dirt up and charged Destiny, trampling over her as the boar turns around and gives the glare back to Sol.

Sol sees this and charges forth with this spear. "I won't let this happen again!" He strikes the boar and kills it quickly. I bit irritable that their luck could be turning worse.

Sol sighs as he looks to Destiny and hold out his hand. "Come on. No need to get discouraged." He gave a smile to console her a bit. "Here I have something for us... Might as well eat it now before they get too cold." Sol pulls out the 2 «Hogway Sandwich» Sol made for the both of them, handing her one half of it to try and cheer her up. "Maybe you need to eat something other than bread."  He had some sort of excuse to try and keep her cheerful.

“Pish.†She said as she pulled her knees toward her chest.  Destiny was boiling inside. She wanted to be strong but she couldn't with the results that she was getting while fighting these monsters.  Destiny took the «Hogway Sandwich» from Sol and put it down next to her.  Destiny didn't want to eat, she didn't want to do anything in this world anymore.  She pulled her legs closer to her chest as she rested her nose against her knees. "I ****ing hate it here." she thought to herself. "I hate all of it. I hate everyone. I hate.." Destiny slammed her fist against the ground in frustration. She had things on her mind that were consuming her previously to this battle and now things were just accumulating on her. 

 

"Sol.." she said softy as she stared blankly at the ground.. Destiny didn't really expect a response or to even say much at her.  She was trying to contain her emotions before she blew up at her innocent friend; who really hadn't done anything wrong and actually helped her through a lot.

Sol watched her as he hit the ground in, what seemed like, a fuming rage. "..." He could feel that trouble boiling inside her, feeling useless, unable to hit anything in combat. He felt partially responsible for her feeling like this. Suddenly he heard his name, it was quiet but he heard it regardless.

 

"..." He gulped, a bit tense from her aura she put out. "Yeah Destiny?" He wondered what was truly on her mind, if anything he wanted to help her, but if this process continues as it is, It could be a matter of time before she loses her fighting spirit. "Whats wrong?" He set down his sandwich as well, approaching closer to see what was wrong, incase she still wanted to quietly speak.

Destiny sat there.  Not really saying anything and she didn’t want to for she was scared of what might come out of her mouth. So Destiny just sat there still holding her legs to her chest staring blankly at the ground.  There was so much running through her mind; she couldn’t nail down one thought or one ideal.  It was like she was in the middle of the ocean and she was sinking; unable to move herself to the surface she just sank deeper and deeper.

Sol took a breath preparing himself. "Destiny." He placed a hand on hers. "You can let me know what is on your mind." He expected her to explode in anger."You can tell me, show me, hit me. I don't care, I want to help you, Destiny." He continued to try and reach for her mind. Searching for some reaction. He had one other method in mind but wanted to save it for a last resort type of action.
