[5466] 5 Battle | 6 Mob

As Damon was attempting to getting up, he'd find that he wouldn't have enough time to get up off of all fours before the creature lunged at his back. It pelted him forwards and he landed on his chest, though he was certainly quick getting up this time around, "Holy [censored], calm down." He turned his sword around in his hand so that it was facing outwards, then ran towards the beast, hoping that it would do the same action. Assuming it wouldn't change things up too much, it'd at least be a well intended plan.

[5468] 6 Battle | 9 Loot

The monster feel for the bait and ran right along the length of Damon's blade, nearly splitting the creature into two before it shattered and faded away, "Damn, still nothing." The monster hadn't left any loot, making a counterpoint to the whole 'Third time's the charm!' memo. It was certainly troublesome, but at least it gave him a bit of an understanding how easy to grasp the battling system was in this game. If you took away the whole fantasy/gaming aspect, it was somewhat realistic. As another monster approached, he raised his blade, ready to take on the next challenge.

[5507] 1 Battle | 6 Mob

The monster was a little faster than the others and was able to dash forwards, sweeping Damon's legs from out under him. He caught himself as he fell, but the monster had gotten well out of range before he was able to go for a cheeky attack. He hoisted himself up, standing in place and challenging the creature to try it again, "Come on, that's not all you've got... is it?" Sword pointing towards the creature, he intended to hop out the way if it was still unexpectedly fast.

It held absolutely no consideration for Damon's prompting, but did as he expected to, running straight towards its target. He positioned his sword to lunge at the monster when it came within striking distance and he actually landed the hit in a near perfect manner, though the moving force of the monster was enough to do a small bit of damage to the boy. He slung the sword to the side and the monster fell off, leaving Damon a clear opportunity to finish the critter off.

[5510] 1 Battle | 3 Mob

The monster instantly knew that this battle wasn't worth dying for and dashed away, which caused Damon to pause. He was nearly down to half his health and could certainly use an opportunity to rest up or find that last item he needed, but this was too easy. He smirked and began to chase after his prey, the one that had gotten a huge head start on running. It would take about twenty seconds to catch up to it, but once he did... r.i.p.

[5511] 7 Battle | 2 Loot

He would eventually catch up and easily finish off the beast with a stab in the back, allowing little to no room for error. Of course, as luck would have it, he was SOL in regards to getting any loot from the corpse, but he was kind of getting used to it. He let out a sigh of disbelief, "This might not be the game for me..." Granted, he was more or less referring to the luck of the draw as he wasn't the greatest gambler back in the mafia. However, it certainly did allow for some fun times and sharing of stories.

[5513] 15 Loot

Eventually, after wandering around for a good twenty to thirty minutes, he'd find a lack of any clues as to what he was searching for. It had to be something that could be used for alchemy, meaning it more than likely wasn't a mob, but if it was here in the plains, it simply had to be on the ground. Whether that was a fungi, flower, stone, or some other obscure item, he would have trouble finding it. After an hour or so of examining plants and wildlife, he'd come across a white mushroom with a black dot in the middle of the top, "Oh, you've got to be joking...

"Of course, of [censored] course..." He let out one last growl of discontentment and muttered a few words under his breath before placing it in his inventory. Back to the town he went to return to the shop, where the NPC was still waiting with no customers and that utterly awful smile of his, "Oh, by the heavens. Have you obta-" He held up his hand, palm outwards, "Shut it, old geezer." He tossed the materials that he had been hunting so that he could finally get the deed to running his own shop.
