[PP-F7]Mountain Tops and High Hops!(Azazel)

Recommended Posts

Finnick was thinking of random words in his head, and Fin came up with his own awesome quote that he would share to the world in the future. Finnick said it aloud. "The only difference between sanity and insanity is an I and an N". Finnick loved it. He just had to be sure not to forget it before he was famous. Finnick looked around at his surroundings. He sat in a mountain village waiting for Azazel to evaluate him for this guild called Absolute Pin. And the ranks..... They were like chess pieces! It was soooo cool! And it included Azazel, which Finnick still needed to craft her rapier. So Fin waited for the arrival of Azazel.

When Anna told Fin to pick his trail ground she had no idea the silly boy would choose the freaking mountains or choose to do things so early in the morning. The woman put her hand over her mouth to stifle a yawn as she continued to climb up to where her indicator had shown the boy to be. Anna was exhausted from the night before. She’d gone on a bender with her guild; they’d built quite the rapport with the little party they’d had, but now she was paying for their night of excess.

The woman reached the meeting spot and found just who she was looking for. “Good morning!†She called out and gave the boy a wave before coming over to where he was. “So you ready kiddo? We’re going to evaluate your skills and see how well you handle things in the field.â€

When Azazel arrived, Finnick quickly shot up off the bench he was sitting on and smiled. Then he fixed his black hair, which he had forgotten to do, and then replied with a sly "Sure am!" Finnick then looked at Azazel. Her rapier rather basic, but  that was no big deal if you had good rapier skills. Hmmmm.......  "So are we gonna like duel or something to test my abilities? I haven't dueled in a while now." But Finnick figured they weren't planning on dueling. "So, which way will we be heading, Azazel?" Finnick needed to craft her rapier as soon as they got back.

“No duels today.†She said shaking her head. In her state she wouldn’t last long on her feet anyway and the boy would win by default. That was not something she could allow. No, Anna had something else in mind. It was an idea borrowed from Teayre, but it was a good one, so she was going to use it from now on.  The boy asked her which way and Zaz looked at their surrounds. “Ummm,†she said.

“We’ll goooo….†She pointed her finger,  â€œThat way. And we’ll keep going till one of two things happens: either we find trouble… or trouble finds us.†Anna gave a firm nod. She had never been to this floor before so she’d no idea of what she was doing, nor where she was going.

But Finnick had been to this floor a lot and it was his favorite floor. he knew what he was doing. So Finnick continued walking. It was so weird, with Azazel like that. Finnick wasn't used to people being that much older than him. Finnick felt like he was hanging out with his mom, which was a weird feeling because his mother was in the IRL world, probably grieving over him at the hospital. "Hey random question, Azazel. How old are you? Or how young are you if you prefer? Just an odd question!" But then Fin saw it.

In a blur the giant hell hound thingy was upon them, saliva drooling out if it's mouth. You could see the huge teeth, that had no sign of plaque on them whatsoever. The hell-hound was huge, and probably had a good value of health. Finnick pulled out the guidebook they had gotten that the beta testers had handed out at the beginning of the game and found floor seven. Then he found the hell-hound.

Hell-hound data:

Usually attacks with it's fangs so be watchful of those.

The Hell-hound has:

35  HP

4 Damage per Hit

Finnick spat on the ground after reading the entry aloud. Then he got cocky again, pulling out his iron war ax and his Aegis, holding it forward as he leaped up at the giant dog;s moth, attempting to block any attacks coming from it' mouth as the guidebook had said. But as Finnick was at his mouth, the giant dog knealed down to attack at Finnick's leg, barely getting a bit onto him as Finnick fell to the ground. "Well, darn. That didn't go in my favor. Switch!"

Anna walked along beside the adorable boy, and she was about to tell him that he was such until he opened his mouth and had to go and ruin it.

“A gentleman never asks a lady her age,†she said as she shot the younger boy a dirty look.By the look of him he couldn’t be any older than his early teens which, in her mind explained a lack of propriety on his part.

The woman was too busy stewing over Fin’s question that she didn’t notice the monster until it was upon them. The boy pulled out a book and looked something up, “Is now the time to be doing that?†she questioned the boy giving him a look. He closed the book, spit upon the ground and then took up his war hammer, trying to attack the beast before him. He failed to connect and the dog got ahold of Fin’s leg biting him. Anna drew her rapier and swung at the monster, but her strike was wide and she missed the thing. It did make the thing let go of the boy on the ground, and it jumped back putting distance between itself and Zaz’s weapon.

“You okay down there?†She asked the boy, not taking her eyes off the thing.

Finnick got up as soon as she spoke. "Fine!" Finnick spun his ax around as he dodged a few scratch attempts by the giant hell-hound, trying to come up with a good plan. Ahh, who cares about plans these days. Let's do this! Finnick got a firm hold of Aegis as he charged right by Azazel, screaming very loudly, "switch!" Finnick continued sprinting past the hell hound, leaping onto a pile of rocks, then up onto the hell-hound. I could be a good bull rider! Finnick dropped his shield momentarily to slam his ax steadily  into it's back. But the hell-hound was able to wiggle Finnick off of it's back, as Finnick's shield skidded off,  But Finnick landed on his feat, then ran after his shield, somehow skidding across rocks As Finnick was running, he yelled, "Your turn Az!"

The boy was fine and Zaz was glad. Enough though she knew he was an adept fighter, she did not to have to one day tell any child’s parent that she was their when their kid died and could do nothing about it. But Fin got up and he charged back into battle like it was no big thing. Anna beamed s she watched him fight. Again his swing was off target, but she could tell he knew what he was doing. While the thing was busy with the boy, Zaz tried to attack it once more, but the agile creature sensed her coming and jumped away before she could. It seemed that she and Fin would be busy with this thing for a while.

Finnick needed to come up with a good way of hitting it. For the moment, Azazel had it's attention, meaning Finnick could sneak up upon the hell-hound and strike it good. Finnick thought for a moment, then charged. silently, but he charged. Unlike last time, this time Finnick slid right past the monster's front legs then slid under the hell-hound's huge bulky body. Finnick knew if the hell-hound knew he was there, it made no sign of it. if it did know, it would probably smash and kill him. But Finnick was out from under as quick as he had came, and attempted to impair/injure the hell-hounds back left leg, to keep it still for a moment so Azazel could land a clean hit. So he slashed at  the leg.

Apparently the hell hound knew he was there cause it kicked him, and he flew back into a rock wall, which made his gut hurt really bad. But he quickly got up and slashed and hacked at it's leg, injuring it.  "Switch! His leg is injured, Azazel!"

Anna had an in, the damn thing was wounded; now all she had to do was land a blow. She raced toward the beast, but the animal whipped about and lunged at her trying to pin the woman down. Zaz ducked and the animal flew overhead. She was terribly lucky. Had she gotten pinned it might have meant game over for her. “You’re going to have to try, I just can’t hit him.†Anna gritted her teeth rather pissed off at the circumstances.

Finnick smiled. Fin was enjoying this fight, like he enjoyed every fight, but tthis one was funner because the enemy was of Greek mythology. Finnick locked eyes with the beast, but then did something different. As the hell-hound as focused on Azazel, Finnick rammed into it as hard as he possibly could with Aegis, pushing  the dog away from Azazel, and making it stare at finnick with wide eyes. It seemed to be thinking, 'Who do you think you are, bastard?' Then it attempted to topple Finnick, as Finnick dodged left. "It's gonna take more than that, dog." Then he leaped forward with his ax at hand, landing a huge hit and bashing the dog on the head with his shield. "Switch!"

Anna meant this little adventure as a test of Finnick’s skills but the boy was just ridiculously good. His movements were quick and he was terribly agile even with such a cumbersome weapon as his axe was. Finn truly was a joy to watch in action, he had instincts and he seemed to be enjoying the wild rumpus with the hell hound. It was a shame she was going to recommend him to Absolute Pin; one more soul lost to the Queen of the Damned, Ariel. She was going to have to serve the poor sweetheart up as a sacrifice to the Devil Woman, especially if she wanted a clean break from the group.

The boy called for her to switch and Anna dashed in without hesitation.  It was rather embarrassing for Anna having a little kid land blow after blow while she couldn’t do a damn thing. She had to at least hit the bastard his time. Her blade grazed against the creature’s side and red crystals flecked off and disappeared. FINALLY!

She was utterly humiliated.
