OP-F8 Exploring the 8th Floor

Recommended Posts

Moving through the knotted tree, Reu once again found himself on a level lower then where he had wanted to be. In fact, he could see Pine Village...above him. Frustrated, Reu started looking at ways to climb the tree, but there were none. Forcing himself to not give up, Reu continued searching until he came across a vine hanging down. Taking one more look down at the murky waters below, thinking of the certain doom which faced him if the vine broke, Reu started climbing. As he reached the half-way mark, Reu realized he would have to switch vines. Carefully he reached out, doing his best to snag the other vine before letting go...

Suddenly he felt his fingers interlace the green, rubbery vine! Quickly swinging over Reu established himself on the new vine and then continued his climb. Finally, after much climbing, sore muscles, and many times coming close to falling, Reu was able to find a ledge onto the town's lower-level. Curiously, Reu had no information on this level. It looked to be a sort of 'open-sewer' area, with water streams falling from the towns buildings, straight to the water below. Determining he would have to investigate this further, Reu continued making his way around the area. Finally, finding a ladder, Reu made his way to the towns main level.

Once he was on the surface, Reu looked back; the ladder, was nearly invisible from up here. No wonder it had yet to have been discovered. Sighing, Reu made his way to the inn. It had been an interesting day that was for sure. He'd have to do more exploration of the Eighth Floor soon, to see what other areas might be hiding here, and he certainly wanted to check out the sewer-system more as-well. Aincrad always had so many mysteries!
