[*] Shiera bears the characteristic traits of Slavic ancestors. Wearing her hair long and loose, the young woman tends to garner attention through her unique looks. Her hair changes color depending on the light from where she stands, usually going from a pale flaxen to silver. Even if her heart shape face makes her look soft and delicate, her stubborn streak would say otherwise. Unlike many of the women players in SAO, Shiera's body is round with curves, soft and sweet yet she is slim of figure. Her eyes are a pale violet, yet turn a dark purple almost blue with passion or hate. Her lips are small and full, like a cupids bow. A luscious pink that stands out on her pale, ivory skin.

» About:

Born and raised in the United States, Shiera migrated to Japan about the age of fifteen along with both of her parents and her elder brother, concerning her father's work. With promises of going back, such words were caught in the wind once her family began to make a lot of money. Settling down in the new country took a great toll in Shiera. With no friends or acquaintances, the girl rarely left home to explore, preferring to stay in doors and in the environment she felt more safer. Dedicating her life to school and family, Shiera first laid eyes on a gaming console thanks to her elder brother Daemon. Both of the siblings since then on began their quest at trying the latest games that came out to the mainstream.

Daemon had always been her anchor. He had always been the one to show her around, to break her out of her shell. He had known that books were her weaknesses and so were the games too, so with very little tact he always took the role of big brother seriously. For that, Shiera loved him so much. As both of the siblings grew up and adapted to the Japanese culture as quickly as they could, Shiera focused herself to become a librarian while her brother Daemon followed after his dream of becoming a swimming athlete. By the age of twenty, Shiera had already began to work and Daemon -a year older- had already began to achieve success with the sport, while he was also following the idea of an arranged marriage by his parents. Their lives would have been grant, had it not been that on the eve of Shiera's twenty-first birthday both of them had entered SAO and only one of them was still trying to survive.

Sword Art Online had been a game that made any gamers fantasy come to life. Beta tester's around the world and Japan gave it spectacular ratings, yet no one had foretold that Akihiko Kayaba's greater work would be a deadly prison. As many of the players died out, so did Shiera's brother. Daemon who could not bear the thought of waiting for someone to finish the game or risking his life to do it himself, left his sister alone at a safe town before taking his own life by committing suicide.

When daylight came, Shiera stood alone inside the game as well as outside, for her anchor no longer was with her and she would have followed him suit- had she not felt fear when she was about to throw herself off a high wall. Determined not to kill herself just yet, Shiera has become even more determined to outlive the game. Even more determined to survive, whether by the point of a sword or by her own looks.

» Virtues:

. Confident. Shiera named her character Freya for a reason. She might be short of stature, yet she is not one to be meek. She will look anyone in the eyes and never stray her gaze from them. Pale violet eyes that carry promises and shrewdness, while soft lips whisper pleasant words that can sharp as any sword. Even if she does not posses the strength or force that most players would, this does not faze her. Like the goddess she chose her name after, Shiera stands with her head tall and uses whatever that is at her disposal to defend herself.

.Defiant. There has always been something wild about Shiera. A certain animal state that flashes in her pale violet fire eyes when she is angry or desires with all her might. This willful nature is what makes her defiant. Even if she bares a fearless "I'll dare anything" smile, Shiera has many weaknesses and these she tries to hide behind bravery. Though she rarely ever graces the front lines, Shiera prefers to always follow after the players leveling up. Her main reason being that she is after any items she can sell off in the future or use for her own leveling.

. Determined. If determined were to come in a human form, it would probably take after Shiera. From a young age, she has adopted the idea that no matter how many times you fail, you must try harder and better at it. Inside the game, she hasn't lost this virtue and it is what keeps her alive. She is determined to leave. Determined to go back and hopefully, finally say her last goodbye to her deceased brother. When she centers her mind in doing something, Shiera would give all of her focus and all of her strength to do it, such skill has given her much experience and knowledge. It has also been the main reason why she has become even more independent than before.

» Flaws:

. Audacious. Just like how she can be defiant, so can Shiera be audacious. Insolent, brazen and even disobedient at times, she would rather follow her own advice than any others. She is also one to not follow orders that she deems unwise in the first place. Some might be polite in manners, when treading around powerful players, yet Shiera won't do so- if she sees that her life might be in danger, even if by going against said orders puts her at even more danger. Often times she hides her sharp tongue, behind soft spoken words and sarcastic remarks.

.Fierce. Being as fierce as she is, Freya has earned the subtitle "The Feral" for a reason. She is one to show extreme intensity of emotions and convictions when submitted to certain events. Inclined to react violently when cornered, Shiera is fervid and everything she does is laced with such fierceness. Whether it is love, passion, fighting or anger.

.Hedonistic. Like the goddess herself, Shiera is a temptress and a seductress by nature. A teasing minx, she revolves around a hedonistic lifestyle that has make her dependent of other male players to survive. She enjoys the attention, just like how she craves pretty words and warm kisses as well as touches. She enjoys to be gifted with beautiful things and items, just as she enjoys to give her company to those willing to help her. Although many women players would frown upon her own actions, Freya cares very little for them-knowing that sometimes that is the only way to survive, even if at night there is a certain sadness that bounds her life as she lays in the arms of someone she does not truly love.
