While thinking of ways to get richer faster a blip on her menu popped up, telling her she got a new quest request. Looking into it she quickly read that it was an offer to gain a profession and open a shop. What kind was up to her, but she thought about it, and best thought of the ways to make money would be dealing with the money itself. Buy and sell crap to other players! Good, Bring me back a sliver or Boar ivory, a Wasp stinger, and a Cidinia Flower from the monsters in the field and I'll show you how to turn them into the true currency of Aincrad- Coupons!" He said; obviously not programed for actual dialog simply cut and paste stuff, still she happily nodded and wandered out to get the first item, a boar ivory. Khaosclaire 0 Posted May 28, 2015 Author #3 Report Share Posted May 28, 2015 Boars where not hard to find at all, you throw a stone in the field and one would spawn; however her's required her to get a drop from it, so it had to be of sufficient challenge rating. Going near the back of the Field that bordered the forest one popped out from the brush, charging at her right from the get go; but being too far away to do anything at this exact moment. She dropped into a low combat stance and slashed at it's side while rolling away from the attack as best she could. She dodged his attack, but too soon, and she was out of range when her blade needed to hit the beast. The boar kept going onwards crashing into a fallen tree before turning around and pawing at the ground in it's preparation to attack again. Khaosclaire 0 Posted May 29, 2015 Author #5 Report Share Posted May 29, 2015 It stampeded forwards, attempting to actually bite her, it's teeth rugged and misshapen, and brimming with drool. It's unexpected attack caught Claire by the leg, and impaled her on some of it's sharper teeth, causing some pain; but locking it in place for a counter attack. Her blade curved across it's face and sent it packing, the beast releasing and trotting off to make another pass. She looked down at the bite shaped red-lines; not the most elegant way to do things for sure. Khaosclaire 0 Posted May 29, 2015 Author #6 Report Share Posted May 29, 2015 The boar bit at her again, and while she was sue she had jumped out of the way, the boars nibbling teeth told her other wise, causing her to fall flat on her back due to the momentum. Once again slashing up at it's face to push it off of her, her blade dug into it the second time in a row, which was better than she was doing last night at least. "Quit doing that!" Her blade sunk into it once again, and the boar cried out in pain as it's tusk attack missed by a ways. Claire chuckled and danced backwards; her armor helping out quite a bit when the boar wasn't getting lucky! She looked at her loot window; instead of getting the normal mat and col she got the quest mat, Boar ivory. Good one of the items down, now she needed to find a wasp, which also spawned in this area. She decided it was best to take a break and she walked into the forest itself, to search for the flower while healing up naturally. ((When looking for flower LD roll of 16+ finds it with no issue, 10-15 causes a monster to spawn with it as a mat, and 1-9 have no item pop up.) This quest should be a peace of cake! Unfortunately she didn't find the flower in the first few minutes of searching the rather vast forest. It was disheartening but still better than having to fight a boss, by a long shot. The breeze felt rather good today, and the sun shimmered brightly through the peaceful forest canopy. And she did, quickly moving in to pick it. Too quickly, as the flower actually got up, showing itself to be the top of a plant monster! Claire quickly back-flipped away and drew her blade, ready to cut it to ribbons to get the flower off of it. Her blade missed due to the stance anatomy of the plant though, and the plants thorny vines sprung out at her, wrapping around her legs and stabbing deep. In anger the flowerling attempted to do the same thing to her again, but she was ready thing time and tumbled forwards away from the attack, and stopping right in front of the flower monster- so close she could almost pick the flower Right off of it's head! A prolonged fight would be against her favor, so she kept moving in, hoping to deal the final blow as fast as possible. And after leaping over a strike she had the perfect opportunity, and she moved in to take it. With a smile she cartwheeled away from a second vine, and back-flipped away from a third. This creature wasn't THAT tough, just required the right amount of awareness! She needed that flower and could feel herself growing tired from the prolonged fight, despite not being terribly hurt. She continued to look for weak points in the mass of vines defenses; hoping to strike a critical blow and finish it off. Surely enough soon the creature had been reduced to 1 hp and was starring at her, without fear or anger in it's beady eyes. She ducked and jumped over several vines before reaching the creatures body and taking a slash at it, attempting to cut off the flower itself. Her first attack missed, and she lept upwards into the air, her blade glowing as she tumbled behind it and delivered another slash from behind it, cutting off the flower perfectly. Just in time, as the next wave of vines stopped inches from her body as they shattered into blue light. She saw the Loot, Cidinia Flower added into her inventory, and sighed of relief; that entire fight took way too long in her mind, and she took a break on a log next to where she fought the monster, getting ready to head out of the forest to fight a wasp now; that would be fun... With a grin was looked around the plain, and saw a rather large wasp flying towards her, she gripped her blade and ran at it. hoping to finish it in as few turns as possible so she could go turn in her quest! But her first attack missed, and she tumbled away before it could sting her, the monsters mandibles clacking at her. It wasn't no happy honey bee, for sure! But they played the missing game once more, and she dived back at it, trying to finish it fast. The second batch of attacks hit much faster, both of them striking each other extremely hard before Claire jumped back away from it, waiting for it to make the next move. Khaosclaire 0 Posted May 29, 2015 Author #20 Report Share Posted May 29, 2015 The wasp and her let out a flurry of attacks, most of them missing until Claire got in a lucky strike right to it's abdominal. She watched as it buzzed with pain, turning around to fly off and get help. Claire was having none of that, and dashed in at it, taking another swing at it as it ran away, But missed. She watched as it went behind a tree, and she jumped past said tree and slashed where she thought it would be hovering. The blade contacted with it, but the was had it's stinger hovering in mid air, and jabbed Claire in the arm as it went by, both of them taking more damage.
