Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 3, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2015 "Alright so what am I going to do now?.." Liz mumbled to herself whilst walking out of the inn that she had been staying since the day that her brother died. She was still sad and had been crying almost non stop, but she knew that sitting in an inn wouldn't make her situation better. A while ago she and Jayden had looked for the so called "Earning a living" quest that would apparently allow you to get a proffession. Eliza was a decent drawer and painter so she got interested in the artisan proffession. After hours of looking for a shop that had an Npc that could introduce her to the proffession, they gave up. "Guess i'll look around to find a shop" She looked around that all the paths that she could take. After being in the town for a while she had remembered small parts off the giant maze. Jayden and Eliza had looked around for a shop around the middle and hadn't been near the walls, so she thought that the biggest chance of finding one would be around the outside. The inn was close to the point that she spawned, meaning that she has a long way to walk.. She let out a sigh and walked into one of the many alleys.
Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 3, 2015 Author #2 Share Posted July 3, 2015 She walked through the alley that led to a crowded path filled with people and npc ran shops. At first glance she didn't see any shops that looked like they were artisan ones, "How can it be so hard to find one my god" Liz had a short fuse after the death of her brother. Emotions took over for a while which caused her to insult one of the bartenders in the inn. She felt horrible for doing it and apologized in advance, she was so tired, sad and annoyed that she couldn't control herself anymore. Liz crossed the street and walked past the shops, there were a lot of blacksmiths, armory shops and merchant's it was ridiculous. She walked to the back of the street where there were a lot less people around, there was still no trace of an artisan npc. All of the shops seemed quite dodgy, they all had weird names which didn't encourage Liz to go in. "Well nothing here either" she mumbled to herself. Liz was given the advice to talk to herself by her psychologist. She trusted her so she did whatever she had to. Eliza was sent to the psychologist by her uncle and aunt that had adopted her after the "incident" with her father a mother. After living there for a while Liz barely talked to anyone simply because she was scared, she could barely sleep. The first time she met the psychologist was at her own home, the woman came to introduce herself. At first Eliza didn't really trust her, but after talking to her for hours that changed. Every week she would go to her and talk about a lot of things. Liz had noticed that her mood had changed after not talking to her for a while, she had learned how to control her panic attacks but after being in SAO for a while it sure became harder. The only person that could calm her down easily was her brother and he was now gone..
Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 3, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted July 3, 2015 Liz walked to the end of the path, she thought it was a dead end but there was a small way going behind the dodgy shops. She took a deep breath and slowly walked through the alley. There was only one npc, well she thought it was an npc, in the alley. When coming closer the man gave her a weird look and pulled his hoodie up, Eliza quickly walked past him since she didn't trust him at all. Liz came at the end of the alley, she looked around seeing a few smaller houses and a lot of vegitation. Right infront of her was a larger building that had a wooden board standing infront of it. Liz walked closer to be able to read it. Morgana's paintings and trinkets was written on the board with big bold letters."So.. out of all the shops that could possibly had been an artisan shop, I find this one?" She looked at the shop from the outside. It looked the same as the buildings in the other streets, it was just taken over by vegitation. There was a small wooden board with "Open" carved into it, hanging on the door handle. Eliza sighed and walked walked onto the wooden porch. She opened the door and walked into the shop. The interior was quite humble and neat, the first thing that got Eliza's attention was the beautiful exotic plants that were in the house, they all had different colors and paterns, Liz found the amazing. The shop wasn't very big, it had a wooden floor, which seemed to be oak wood, there was a counter that seperated the room in two parts. At the front of the shop there was a big sofa with a wooden table. Eliza walked to the counter and looked around for the owner of the shop, which was nowhere to be found
Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 3, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted July 3, 2015 Behind the counter was a long desk which was filled with books and paper. There was an easel to the left with a big canvas on it. The canvas seemed far from done, it only had a few sketches on that made it look like the beginning of a portrait. Eliza leaned slightly over the counter to see the canvas better, there was a woman sketched onto it with long hair and beautiful, big eyes. "Woah.. that looks amazing" Eliza admired the drawing, it was much better than she could possibly ever do. The best thing Eliza ever made was a present for her little sister Melody, who is completely obsessed with turtles. As a present she painted a really detailed turtle with a few smaller fish swimming around it and some rocks with coral. It took her almost 4 days to finish it, she used a really small pencil since she was affraid of making mistakes and having to start over. Her sister luckily loved the painting and she hanged it right above her bed. Liz was taken out of her thoughts when a young woman opened the door behind her. The black haired woman was taller than her and had dark blue eyes. she looked like the person on the painting. The woman turned around and seemed incredibely surprised that Eliza was in her shop "This can't be true.. a customer?! uh.. uhh. would you like some tea or anything like that?!" The woman quickly dropped a empty bag onto the sofa and looked at Eliza. "N-no i'm fine, uhm.. i'm here to learn how to become an artisan.." As she finished her sentence the woman looked even more surprising "You came to me to teach you how to become an artisan?.. Okay.. Uhm I guess I could teach you some things?" Eliza smiled "I would appreciate that, I saw your drawings behind the counter and they looked amazing." The woman blushed and mumbled "Why thank you!" the woman slid over the counter and smiled "Come over here, i'll show you some things. My name is Morgana by the way, nice to meet ya!" The woman's excitement made Eliza smile, it distracted her from the previous events which was good.. Eliza climbed over the counter and jumped off on the other side.
Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 3, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted July 3, 2015 "Well as you may have noticed I have no pencils and paintbrushes here.. Ya see I kind of lost them when I went out to get some flowers to make paint.. I was looking for some nice colors and somehow ended up in a cave. A horde of rats came running at me and I was out of there in a split second! I sadly dropped some of my most valuable equipment along the way.. Now I still have some paintbrushes and pencils but they're.." The woman picked up a big paintbrush where all the hairs were going different ways, making it probably impossible to use. "Not that great.. Now I can teach you some of the basics but i'll need my things back.. Could you get them for me?" The woman looked at Eliza and a quest invite popped up <<Earning a living>> A skilled artist named Morgana has asked you to retrieve her items. Bring the items listed below back to the shop: =-= -Morgana's pallette -2 good condition paintbrushes (Broken ones will not count) -2 good condition pencils (Broken ones will not count) -Morgana's small sketchbook labeled "Sketches, Idea's and other stuffs" O X Eliza accepted the quest and smiled at Morgana that was squeeling. "Thank you thank you thank you so much! I will do my best to teach you the basics when you get back!" Liz nodded and climbed over the counter again. She waved at the npc as she walked out of the shop. "Okay.. so I need to go to the cave but whe-" A small map appeared with a blue dot on it which she assumed was her. She zoomed out on the map showing a red cross outside of the starting city. "Oh great.." Eliza didn't want to go out of the safe zone but it seemed that there was no other choice if she wanted to become an artisan.
Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 3, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted July 3, 2015 Eliza walked out of the dodgy area and went back to the busy streets. She was close to the walls so she knew that there would be an exit somewhere around. To make sure that she knew what she had to get she opened her menu and double checked the items that she had to retrieve for the quest. "Alright so paintbrushes, pencils, a palette and a sketchbook? I can handle that." She closed the menu and walked through an alley, taking a short cut to the exit. Whilst walking through the alleys her path got blocket by a group of Npc's, just like when she and Jayden where going out.. Last time Jayden helped her through the crowd but now she had to do it herself.. Liz took a deep breath and walked to the group, some of them looking at her. She npc's made space for her when they noticed she had to go through, which Liz didn't realize. Such a small thing for someone else, such a big thing for her. Liz was really akward with large crowds, she had no problems with talking one to one but big groups weren't her thing. She sighed in relief and proceeded to walk to the exit. After walking further for a minute or two she could see the exit of the starting city. she walked to the giant gate and looked at the grassland where a boar almost killed Jayden. Liz was still a bit scared to go out since she was alone and a really inexperienced fighter.. She equipped her dagger and walked out of the safezone, she wanted to get to the cave as fast as possible.ITEM LIST-Paintbrushes 0/2-Pencils 0/2-Palette 0/1-Sketchbook 0/
Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 3, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted July 3, 2015 Eliza looked on her map and started walking to the red cross. It didn't take long for the cave to get in sight. She walked closer to the cave and looked around to make sure that she wasn't overlooking some really obvious items that had fallen outside of the cave. Sadly, there was nothing laying around the outside, meaning that she will have to go into the dark cave. Liz stood infront of the big cave entrance, she sighed and walked into the cave. The cave immediatly split up in 2 parts, the first part proceeded to go further in a straight way, the other part was a small tunnel that was far too small to just walk through, if she wanted to go through she would have to crawl. Assuming that Morgana would've picked the first tunnel since it looks safer than the other one, Liz walked further into the dark. Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 3, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted July 3, 2015 The red haired girl started running at an object which she assumed was a pencil. Once getting closer she noticed that the pencil had been broken in 2 parts, making it completely useless. "Well it seems like i'm really lucky again" She started walking further, hoping that she would find something quick. It started getting darker and darker every step she took, after a while it started getting hard to see where she was looking at. She decided to go a bit slower to make sure that she wouldn't walk into a mob or anything else. Even though she didn't like the cave at all, she was looking forward to getting back to the shop. She had been interested in becoming an artisan for a long time, and now she had finally found a suitable shop where she could start her proffession. Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 3, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted July 3, 2015 Eliza walked to the left of the tunnel and put her hand against the wall to make sure that she was going forward, The tunnel made a turn to the right where she could see light coming from. Right at the beginning of the turn was a torch put between two rocks and it seemed to be quite solid. Liz tried to pull the torch loose. After a few times pulling she got the torch out of the gap. "Finally, some light!" She walked back to look if she had missed anything in the darker area of the cave. Sadly, she couldn't see any item that was on the list, the only weird thing that she could see was some sort of cowboy hat. "I'm wondering if she took the other path." Eliza looked back at the smaller tunnel, at first she thought Morgana would've taken the easy path but if she was a bit like herself then she would've gone through the small one.. Eliza decided to walk back to the beginning of the cave and to take the other path in the hope that that was the way Morgana took. She got on her knees and looked through the hole, she could see that the small tunnel would lead to a larger area. With the torch infront of her she crawled through the narrow tunnel that made her feel somewhat uneasy. There was a small group of rats that got scared of the fire and ran away right infront of her which absolutely terrified Eliza. Liz never liked rats, mice and bugs, she's terrified of them especially when they're big. The further she came, the more rats she could see. She was thinking of turning around but she could see the end of the tunnel and crawled further. When she was finally at the end a big, ugly rat bit her in the hand as she got out of the hole into a giant cavern. Liz had dequipped her dagger to crawl through so she didn't have anything to hit the rat with. She attempted to punch the rat but it was surprisingly fast, it seemed to be scared of the fire though so Eliza held the torch tightly. She quickly went to the menu and equipped the basic dagger that appeared in her left hand. Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 3, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted July 3, 2015 The grey rat let out a horrific screech as it ran at Eliza, it jumped up and bit her in the leg. Eliza pushed the torch into a round gap between multiple stones that seemed to be made as a torch holder, and grabbed the rat by it's tail as it tried to ran away. She turned her dagger backwards and thrusted it at the rat. The rat got loose before it got hit and backed off. The fight attracted the attention of the other rats that were running around. The rocks around Eliza were covered in big and small rats, They didn't attack her and seemed to be only watching, luckily. The disgusting sewage smell didn't make it easier to fight the rat, it gave Liz the feeling that she was about to vomit. Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 3, 2015 Author #11 Share Posted July 3, 2015 She looked around to see that she was cornered by hundreds of rats. Behind her she saw a group of rats sitting on an item that she needed for the quest, the wooden palette! Not even thinking about the disgusting rat she was fighting she ran for the palette that seemed to be in a perfect condition. She quickly pulled it away from underneath the rats and sent some of them flying. When Liz turned around the rat had sneaken up right behind her and bit her in the leg again. The rat backed off again before Liz could even react to it."God i'm done with these bloody rats" She spat at the rat which seemed to make it really mad.RollID:22339 BD:4 (Miss) MD:7 (Hit) LD:18 (item found) ITEM LIST-Paintbrushes 0/2-Pencils 0/2-Palette 1/1-Sketchbook 0/1HP LIST Eliza: 8/11 Rat: 2/2 Base damage of
Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 3, 2015 Author #12 Share Posted July 3, 2015 Liz stared at the rat as it started running at her again. It opened his mouth showing rotten teeth. she couldn't believe that she had taken so much damage off of a god damn rat. As the rat ran at her Eliza thrusted her dagger right into it's stomach, The rat's body changed into a pile of blue pixels. "Glad that thing is finally dead" She grabbed the torch and walked towards the horde of rats. They all ran away immediatly except for one smaller rat. It was smaller than the previous rat, it had a gray fur and dark red eyes. The rat stared at Eliza as she tried to scare it off with the fire. Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 3, 2015 Author #13 Share Posted July 3, 2015 Liz sighed and walked past the rat, she didn't think that it would harm her since it was so small. When walking a bit further she heard a weird noise and looked behind her. At first she didn't see anything but when looking a bit better she saw 2 red dots on the wall. She turned the torch to the wall showing the small rat, pearly white spit was running out of its mouth. Out of nowhere the rat jumped onto Eliza's face and scratched her underneath her left eye. Eliza quickly pulled the rat off and dropped it to the floor. "you piece of sh-" The little rat laid down on her shoe and squeeled, it looked like his mood had changed. She stared at the rat, it was nibbling on her shoe lace what was quite cute. Eliza smiled and slowly bent down. "Hey little cutsie" The rat looked up and started making that terrific noise again, Eliza frowned at the rat "Hey don't do that to me or i will send you flyi-" the rat spat white saliva all over her face, it smelled like rotten eggs. Eliza frowned and wiped off the disgusting foam. "Well that was just weird" She mumbled as the rat dissapeared. "Anyways... It's a smart idea to proceed with the quest otherwise i'll be here for ages" Liz walked further into the cave that became bigger and bigger. She stumbled upon a small pond of water with colorful fish swimming in it. Eliza sat down next to the pond and dequipped her dagger, she was tired already and she only had one item that she needed. Liz stared into the water, she felt so alone without her brother around.. She started tearing up again, thanks to the quest she got distracted from what had happened. Eliza walked further into the cave, she noticed that more and more vegitation appeared on the walls and ground. Liz pushed away a pair of vines and walked into a small room with another pond in it. When walking closer to the pond Eliza tripped and almost fell into the pond with her head. She got up and looked behind her, seeing that she fell over Morgana's sketchbook! Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 4, 2015 Author #16 Share Posted July 4, 2015 Eliza opened the big sketchbook with a golden lable with "Sketches, ideas and other stuffs" written onto it with a beautiful classic handwriting. Every page had a different sketch on it in a completely different style. Dragons, houses, portraits of people, weird animals Every single thing was beautiful. Liz looked at every single drawing, she loved every one of them. On the last page there was a unfinished sketch of a younger girl with black hair and two parents standing behind her, the sketch made Liz smile again. "Even though they're npc's it feels like they're just real people.." Liz closed the book and it dissapeared into her inventory. She was about to walk out of the smaller room of the cave when she suddenly heard something fall behind her. Liz turned around seeing a wooden pencil on the edge of a rock. She quickly grabbed it. The pencil was made of a dark wood and had golden lines spiraling to the top. "Seems like i'm on the right path!" Liz proceeded to walk further into the cave. Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 4, 2015 Author #17 Share Posted July 4, 2015 The cave kept going and going it seemed like there was no end to it. Liz had been walking for a while now and decided to take a pause. She sat down on a larger rock and leaned against the wall behind her. The torch was luckily still burning, otherwise she would have to find everything in the dark which probably wouldn't work out. Eliza stared at the wall, she had been in the game for a while now but everything still amazed her. She had been begging her aunt and uncle to get the game at first but now she was really regretting it. Her uncle had even warned her about the possibility of the game having a bug or glitch in it. But this was definitely not a bug.. Liz wondered how the creator came up with such an idea.. Was he a psychopath? She had always been able to forgive people for their mistakes, but she was never going to forgive the people that worked on SAO and killed so many people. Were they even honest about letting them out if they beat the game? Or was it just a stupid trick and would everyone die eventually.. The thoughts of dying scared her. Her uncle and aunt were most likely depressed now, the probably knew about the death of Jayden.. Liz sighed and got up again. She switched the torch to her left hand and started walking into the dark. Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 4, 2015 Author #18 Share Posted July 4, 2015 "I wonder what Ryou and Misaki are doing right now.." Her sentence echoed through the cave. Her uncle and aunt were probably devastated by them being stuck in SAO. She felt kinda guilty for not showing them that she really appreciated what they did for her. When they were home she completely ignored her aunt's attempt to talk to her and just ran straight to her room. Liz stopped walking when she saw a small paintbrush on the floor. She picked the paintbrush up and slowly turned it around to look if there was any damage to it. The paintbrush had the same look as the pencil. A darker colored wood with golden lines spiraling to the top. Liz opened her inventory to look how much she had collected so far. Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 5, 2015 Author #19 Share Posted July 5, 2015 The cave had changed a lot since she came in. At beginning it was nothing but rocks and now the cave was filled with vegetation. Vines, ponds, beautiful giant flowers, It made the cave look much more comforting. Even though the vegetation made Eliza feel a bit better it sure made searching for the items harder. The plants blocked her sight and she could barely see anything. Liz also had trouble moving through. She was tired, she had been walking for so long. Liz walked past the walls and pushed away the grass and plants to look for the items that she had to collect. After finding absolutely nothing in the past 15 minutes she was close to giving up again. Liz walked past the pond seeing a wooden object laying on the bottom. After looking a bit better she could see that it was another pencil due to the golden lines. However the pencil was smaller than the one she had. She leaned over the pond to see that the pencil had been broken in two. "Well it's good that I don't have to dive in i guess.." Scarlett_ 0 Posted July 5, 2015 Author #20 Share Posted July 5, 2015 "What's this?.." Liz looked at a yellow ball stuck between a few rocks. The material looked sticky, like goo. Eliza went closer to the object and was overwhelmed by a disgusting smell. She glared at the ball of goo, it sometimes moved which made Liz gag. A small rock fell into the yellow object and immediatly dissapeared into the thick goo. "This is just freaky.." The girl walked away from the thing and looked around for the pencil she still had to find. She walked further into the large cavern and saw more and more bugs around her. Small butterflies, ladybugs and fireflies flew through the cave. She hadn't seen a rat for a while which was good. A butterfly with big, purple wings sat down on her shoulder. Eliza smiled and found the butterfly incredibely cute untill she looked at it and saw it's horrific head. Eliza let out a squeel and started running, but the butterfly didn't get off.
