[PP - F5] Deadliest Catch <Blood in the Sands> With Zelrius

Recommended Posts

Lowenthal had teleported himself to the desert sands of the fifth floor. He disliked this floor, but at least it wasn't the frozen hell that was the fourth floor. He did a quick look around, looking for the man that would help him on the quest he had just accepted. The quest required a field boss being slain, so Lowenthal didn't want to tackle it alone. He had seen this man before, but had never actually spoke to him other than a private message. He scrolled past private messages, pulling the one he had sent. Lowenthal had sent a message asking the warrior, Zelrius, to help assist him with the quest. All lowenthal received back was ''K' and that was it. Lowenthal immediately went to the fifth floor, hoping to at least see Zelrius there. But it had appeared Lowenthal had gotten there first. He rubbed the back of his neck, which was already wet with sweat from the heat of the sun. Lowenthal sat down on a nearby bench, which was more of a woven basket, and waited.

Lowenthal went back over his quest details. All he was able to gather from it was that, there was a Sand Shark that was terrorizing a trade route. It seemed easy enough, but Lowenthal had to think about it. How was he going to able able to hit it? It swimmed in the sand, and was able to appear and quickly disappear. Only way he could think of was that he would present himself as bait, and hit it as he dodged it. It wasn't fool proof, but it was all he had. He was the Master of Shadows, not a tactician. Lowenthal saw the teleporter gate activating. "That had better be him." Lowenthal said, standing.

The reason the teleport gate was firing up was in fact because the arrogant boy known as Zelrius was stepping through. He had just got done with his little meeting with someone else and needed an excuse to get off the 4th floor and the hell away from them. Lowenthal's asking for assistance gave the Blood Buccaneer the perfect alibi to do exactly that: escape the cold and the person, and come to the fifth floor where it was nice a hot and there was someone more tolerable around. However, as Zelrius thought on, this quest wasn't as desirable as he wanted it to be. Not only had the golden haired boy done it many times before, but it was insufferably easy. In fact, The boy wondered why someone like Lowenthal would need his help, that man was more than capable of doing it himself.

Of course, Zelrius sighed and realized the only time he had seen Lowenthal in action was during the Arena season and that gear could have been very well borrowed out to him. The thought was cut when he decided how unlikely it was given how skilled and comfortable the man seemed in it all the time. Zelrius stepped out of the teleportation gate and into the sun. Walking down from the podium the boy looked up at the orange orb and exclaimed to himself "Thank god for the heat of this floor! Floor four is such a terrible drag."  That speech pattern doesn't fit me, never again.

Lowenthal called Zelrius over to his location. "Hey! About time you showed up. I swear I lost about eight pounds of sweating alone." Lowenthal said, jesting. He didn't mind the wait, and it wasn't even that long. He just disliked having to stand still in the heat. And his black coat didn't help much either. And Lowenthal could do the quest alone, but Lowenthal hated doing things on his own. It was always better to do something with someone. It lessened the load, and made traveling much faster and more enjoyable. And he was curious about Zel. Lowenthal had spoke to Mari, and she obviously gave her opinion. But Lowenthal liked to make judgements for himself. "I'm kind of surprised you actually showed up. Figured you'd be too busy running the tournament and what not." Lowenthal said, turning and making his way to where the Sand Shark spawned.
