SP-F2 <<Feeding the Enemy>>( Complete) Quest

Recommended Posts

Abalasster had finally decided to take his adventure to the 2nd floor of Aincrad. Ever since the game had begun, he had stay on the first floor. More specifically, he had stayed in the town of beginnings. It was something about that city that kept him interested in it. And now seeing as how he had completed his Merchant training and was now a street cart salesmen, he had perfect reason to keep within the city. But, the city was beginning to bore him, and seeing as how his shop was yet to be open, he decided to go to the second floor to see how it was like there. When he warped in to the city, he noticed that it wasn't to special. It sure was a great looking place but nothing could be as grand as the Town of beginnings. He wandered over to the quest board to see what was popular. "Feeding the Enemy" Abalasster read to himself. Apparently, this quest could result him with a familiar. "Awesome" Abalasster read to himself, as he accepted the quest...

After Abalasster accepted the quested, he needed to go and find a place to get the proper materials for the quest. That's when a women approached him. "Hello young traveler "the women said to Abalasster. "I hear that you accepted the quest where you can get a familiar. You will need a common food item to train the beast. I will sell you one for 10 Col. What do you say"? It did say in the quest that I would need a common food item to train the familiar. Also, a price like this was a good deal. "Ok lady, I accept your offer" said Abalasster, handing over the required Col. The lady then handed him the common food item. "There are many beasts in the forest. That's where you will be getting your familiar" the lady said. Abalasster nodded and headed off towards the forest...

Abalasster walked to the edge of he forest and listened to the sounds coming from it. Sounds from all different types of creatures like Monkey's to bears. Abalasster considered what kind of familiar he wanted. This should have been his first thought when he accepted the quest. But, he knew that he would find the familiar he wanted in this forest and that he would feel it when the time had come. He walked into the forest and was met by all sorts of sights and smells. As he was walking he saw all sorts of animals around him. There weren't gathering around him but they were more or less moving in the same direction. Then, out of no where a giant monkey jumped from a nearby tree. It was blocking the path Abalasster was currently taking. Abalasster drew his sword, Leopard's fang, and moved towards the monkey, and waited for the monkey to make the first move...

Giant Monkey 7/7

The monkey made the first move. It began to charge towards Abalasster. As it was charging, Abalasster jumped up into the air to dodge the attack. The monkey stopped because he had missed. Abalasster landed behind the monkey and smiled. He pointed his sword at the monkey and boasted "is that all you got?" the Monkey then went Berserk. it began to slam its fists on the floor before getting back into defensive position. Abalasster to his sword and prepared to strike. He needed to make contract with the monkey and he planned on doing so...

Monkey 5/7  (-2 bleed)

Abalasster got into fighting stance. He took a deep breath before he struck the monkey. He then charged and plunged his sword into the monkey. It was a critical hit! the monkey went back reeling in pain. "Enjoy that" Abalasster said to the monkey tauntingly. The monkey stood up straight, as straight as it could. This must have been a way to try to reassert dominance over the situation. But to Abalasster, this tactic was futile. He wasn't intimidated at all by this. "Trying to make yourself look bigger" Abalasster said to the monkey. "Well good luck with that"...

Monkey 1/7 ( -2 bleed)

The monkey got back down into his fighting position. He slammed his fisted on the jungle floor. He then jumped up in to the tree's and began to move around. Abalasster looked up into he trees, trying to pinpoint the monkey. The monkey then began to chant some kind of song and kept repeating it. "This must be some kind of taunting tactic" Abalasster thought to himself. "In case you are un aware of the situation, Abalasster called out to the monkey. "I'm winning this fight right now. So, I suggest you stop your chanting. The monkey then leaped down for the jungle, but before it could make contact, Abalasster dodged out of the way...

Abalasster 13/13

Monkey -3/7 (-2 bleed + critical)

Before the monkey had another chance to attack, he fell down and began to evaporate. This was due to the bleed damage that Abalasster had been able to inflict on him. He walked over to the where the monkey had once been. This had been Abalasster's first battle, so he was proud that he could hold his own, but at the same time, he couldn't shake the feeling of guilt. He knew that the monkey was just a program and was designed to kill him, but what if that monkey had a family? Had he just taken the life of something more? That monkey could have been the hunter for a family somewhere out there that depended on him. But, Abalasster then took it into affect that this was survival of the fittest. Feelings in this world made one weak...

Abalasster found no loot from the corpse of the monkey, so he began to walk further into the forest. He looked high and low for a familiar that he would want. He found many familiars from all different calibers. He found some small dogs, to butterflies, to small bears to even smaller monkeys. But none interested him. HE began to make his way deep into the forest. that's where he found it. The familiar that he would want. It was a small scorpion, adorned in the color's of bright yellow and maroon. But there was one problem. That problem was that there was an even bigger scorpion guarding the smaller one. This scorpion must have been about 5 times bigger than the smaller scorpion. Abalasster moved into view of the Scorpion and readied himself for combat...

Scorpion: 8/8

The scorpion struck first. It scurried up to Abalasster and thrust it's stinger into the ground. Before it could make contact though, Abalasster rolled out of the way. The scorpion readied itself again. It got into a defensive stance. Abalasster readied his weapon. He wasn't ready to take damage this early into the battle. For all he knew this could be a long and grueling battle. The scorpion looked menacing enough. It's claws looked like guillotines ready to take someone's head and the pincer was equally as intimidating. Abalasster was happy he wasn't struck by it. He then preceded to look around the forest to see if there any way he could land an attack that the scorpion didn't see coming...

Scorpion 6/8 (+2 for critical and +2 for bleed)

Abalasster found his opening. Behind the scorpion was a that slanted. If he could make it to that tree, he could use it to get above the scorpion and land down on the scorpion. So he put this plan into action. He began to run around the scorpion. When he was about half way to his destination however, the scorpion slammed down one of its claws in front of Abalasster. He had to think fast. He jumped over the scorpions claw and continued towards the tree. He made it to the tree without anymore interruptions. He used the trees a sort of a trampoline to vault him above the scorpion. He then slammed his sword down into the scorpion. His plan worked and it went event better than expected. It was a critical hit...

Scorpion 4/8 (+2 bleed)

The scorpion was infuriated at what Abalasster had just done. It let out a mighty screech. Abalasster grabbed his ear. He had never heard a more painful sound in the game. The scorpion took this moment as a chance to get even with Abalasster and charged at him. Abalasster was still disoriented by the screech and wasn't able to dodge what came next. The scorpion hit Abalasster with his claw and Abalasster went flying back and landed against a tree. "Ahh" Abalasster said, still disoriented and a bit confused. He got back up to his feet and looked at the scorpion. He took his sword and readied it. "You think your big?" he yelled at the scorpion. The scorpion readied itself in defensive position...

Scorpion -1/8 (+2 from bleed and +2 from super crit)

Abalasster made his way slowly up to the scorpion slowly. The scorpion tried to lash out at Abalasster but he was still too far away. Abalasster stopped walking just outside the range of the scorpion. He was waiting for the scorpion to act so he could counter them and use it to his advantage. That's when it happened. The scorpion brought it's stinger down, when that occurred, Abalasster stepped back. He then grabbed on to the stinger of the scorpion. The scorpion, obviously distressed, tried to throw Abalasster off. Abalasster took this as the perfect opportunity. He let go of the stinger while the scorpion had kept its stinger motionless. Abalasster dropped right on to the head of the scorpion. He took his sword and plunged it right into the scorpion's head. he scorpion fell almost instantly. Abalasster hopped of the beast and took a step back to look at what he had done...

Abalasster walked over to the corpse of the Scorpion but, like the monkey, there was no item. Not even Col. "I'm not to good at this looting business" Abalasster mumbled under his breath. Now that the hard part was done, he looked around for the same scorpion that must have scurried away. "Where is that thing" Abalasster said to himself. Finally he found it. He picked the Scorpion up by the tail. That's when a monkey leapt down from a nearby tree and snatched the scorpion right out of Abalasster's hands. He saw where the monkey had gone and chased after the monkey. He wasn't about to let that creature steal his familiar. "Your as good as dead, you hear" Abalasster said to the monkey he was pursuing...

He eventually catch up to the monkey in a clearing in the forest. The monkey was holding the scorpion by the tail as it was squirming for freedom. "Put it down now" Abalasster said to the monkey. The monkey began to raise the scorpion closer and closer to his face. He then began to open his mouth. Abalasster then began to act. He charged at the monkey, knocking it to the floor and making it release the scorpion in the process. Abalasster scrambled over to the scorpion and picked it up in his hands. He took it over to a tree with a hole in it. It was only a small one way hole with only and entry. He placed the scorpion in the tree. When he did, the monkey had already recovered and was standing in battle position...

Monkey: 2/5 ( 3 for super crit, Bleed will apply next)

Abalasster way still filled with rage because of the events that had transpire today. First, the first monkey and his ways. Second, the scorpion and now this monkey. Abalasster Made the first move. He ran up and stabbed he monkey. The monkey went reeling back. "That worked better than I expect" Abalasster said to himself. The monkey slowly got up and let out a mighty roar. Abalasster called out to the monkey. "Why don't you just give up while you can. It would benefit much more. The monkey continued to try to charge at Abalasster to try to scare him. But what Abalasster wasn't ready for was when the monkey actually did charge...

Abalasster 14/15

Monkey 0/5

The monkey charged at Abalasster, knocking him back to the floor. He was quite tired of being knocked down. He perched himself up in time to see the monkey standing over him. Its eyes were those of an insane person's. They were looking at him with such intensity that Abalasster was surprised that he wasn't taking damaged from this. That's when the monkey collapsed on to him. His bleed effect had killed it. It slowly began to evaporate. He sat up, going over the events of the day. He had slain the giant monkey, killed a giant scorpion and had been able to defend the baby scorpion from another monkey. Speaking of the scorpion, Abalasster got up off the ground and dusted himself off, right before he walked over to the tree...

Abalasster walked over to the tree and peeked inside. Sure enough the scorpion was still there. It began to get into a fighting stance, like its late parent had. Abalasster chuckled before he got the food out of his inventory...

The scorpion began to sniff the food. It then began to eat it little by little. Eventually, it started to devour the food. Abalasster laughed to himself. "You enjoying that". He had still yet to give a name to his new familiar. He began to pick his brain for a name. That's when he got it. "I'm going to call you Khepri" Abalasster said. He knew that the name was that of the Egyptian god that happened to be a scarab beetle, but he didn't care. The name fit his new friend just as well. "Lets get out of this forest, Khepri" Abalasster said, reaching his hand inside the tree to get the scorpion out. They then set off back home to the town of beginnings...

But, As the two were going, another monkey jumped down from the tree. Unlike the other two he had fought today, this one had brought some of his friends. Abalasster  drew his sword. He was not just about to let these fool waltz up to him and prevent him from leaving, That's were he had an idea. He took his sword and pointed it at the biggest of the monkey's. All of the other monkey moved to the sided when this happened, singling out his foe. If he could send a message to the other monkeys by killing there Alpha male, maybe he could send them running. Abalasster looked to Khepri, who was cowering on his shoulder. He whispered to Khepri, go find somewhere safe, as he lifted him up and placed him on the ground...

Khepri scurried off his hand and then towards a direction into the jungle. Abalasster, seeing that Khepri was hopefully going to be safe, turned his attention back to the monkeys before him. The monkey kept on taunting Abalasster, while his monkey companions were doing the same thing behind him...

Monkey 9/9

Abalasster made the first move. He went for a lung but while he was closing in, he tripped on a rock and fell to the floor. He quickly pulled himself up before the monkey could do anything while the opportunity aloud it. The monkeys behind him just laughed and laughed at Abalasster's failed attempt. It was sloppy, even for him...

Abalasster 17/17

Monkey 9/9

Abalasster got ready as he got into defensive position. While the monkey slowly made its way over to me, with the peanut gallery of monkeys chanting him on from behind. He went for a series of quick punches and scratches. But, Abalasster was faster than the monkey predicted, and preceded to dodge and evade everyone of the monkeys attacks. O the last hit, the monkey had tried to go for a slam, but before the slam could occur, Abalasster rolled out of the way. He now began to size up the monkey. This monkey was even bigger than the first monkey he had fought when he had entered the forest. If this fight was to go successful, Abalasster had to predict that this monkey would use the same tricks as the last two monkeys did...
