[PP-F4] <<Feeding the enemy>> Dragonskin boots... (Vasth)

Xion watched as his breath condensed into little vapor clouds in front of him as he breathed the chilly air of floor 4, his hair flecked with snowflakes as they fell upon him. The player sighed as he opened his menu, checking his quest log. He had recently taken a quest called <<Feeding the enemy>> which could lead to him obtaining a familiar, which is useful in many ways, it could give Xion a companion in this world, that and familiars can buff their masters, meaning that they are a great asset in battle. 

 

He smiled before going to the friends section of his menu, finding that Vasth was online, Xion grinned as Vasth had been wanting to get a familiar for a while and figured that he would help Vasth with the quest after Xion had obtained his familiar. He then sent the player a PM. 

Hey man, you want to help me out with <<Feeding the enemy>>? I'm on floor four in the main plaza if you want to. I'll help you with the quest after if you want

After the PM had sent he sighed once more, as he looked at the snowflakes, as they fell in an almost hypnotic fashion.

Vasth teleported into Floor 4 and walked around to find Xion standing in the main plaza.He walked up Xion and patted him on the back.

"So dude,I am here let's start the quest." Vasth knew this quest was hard but it was worth it,well most of the time.He grinned and said

"And after we going to do it again but for me." Vasth grinned

Xion smiled as Vasth appeared an patted him on the back. "Yep let's get going, I need to go and buy some food first thought, I'll only be a minute" he said before walking away towards a stall that was selling some food items, he bought one common food item that he would need to tame the creature, before walking back to Vasth. 

 

"OK ready to go, if you are that is"

"Yeah let's go hunting." Vasth and Xion started to walk to he forest of ice to find the familiar that Xion was looking for.

"So Xion what type of familiar are you going for?" Vasth asked,he looked around the forest,Vasth yawned.

"You sure you will find it here?" 

[Xion 0]

Xion smiled as they walked into the frozen forest, the ground was covered with snow, as the entirety of floor four was, but the trees were practically frozen making them look like they were made of ice. "Well apparently ice phoenixes spawn here, I figured that nobody else would have one so why not go for that?" He said with a chuckle as he watched a group of birds fly above them.

Vasth nodded.He looked up and stare at a few birds flying around.

"Scouter Vasth on the case,come on follow me,keep up." Vasth ran following the ice birds.He leaped onto tree and parkour around to chase the familiar.He looked back to see Xion just behind.He flipped on to a tree branch,as he look at a very very big tree. Xion landed behind him,looking over his shoulder.

Acrobatics and the like wasn't really Xion's strong point, but he made a good effort to keep up anyway as he leaped from one tree to another, following Vasth and each time he landed the sword and shield on his back clanked together and rattled. "Man these things make this a pain...well I wasn't exactly expecting this but ok" he said as Vasth jumped once more in pursuit of the birds. "You know they may not even be the Ice Phoenixes Vasth" he shouted, hoping that the player could hear him.

Vasth shrugged "how would I know." He stood up and looked around. "Come let's get going." Vasth walked slowly with his eyes peeled. "Keep your eyes open,let's try to be as quiet as possible,whistle if you see one they're going to be hard to spot."

Xion nodded as he and Vasth dropped from the trees and began to walk through the forest. For a while they saw nothing, the odd wolf or rabbbti but not the ice Phoenixes that he was looking for. Nevertheless they continued to walk, before Xion saw something...it was brief, a small flash as it flew past a tree, but he saw it. He then whistled and pointed in the direction that he saw the flash go. "I think I saw one, maybe returning to it's nest"

Vasth nodded and they both chased after it. Vasth his behind a tree when he saw the blue burr stop. Xion nodded as he stop he saw a huge tree made out pure ice. He spotted the phoenix flying up and into it. "Xion do you think it's nest is there?"

Xion nodded " the tree is big enough to house an adult, which is considerably large than you or I. Which means that we have to go for one of the juveniles" he said, his voice hushed as he slowly creeped behind the tree, trying not to disturb the Phoenixes.

Vasth climbed a tree, leaped on quickly and quietly.He pull Xion up and they both climbed up the tree slowly.He was looked over the branch it was huge.He hanged on to the branch and move toward the end of the long tree.He looked up,the phoenixes nest was very high up. Vasth pulled himself up and sat in a thick branch to rest.

Xion looked up at the top of the tree, where a few young ice Phoenixes were circling, presumably  waiting for the mother to return. " we need to be careful Vasth...an adult Ic Phoenix could tear us to shreds..." He said, slowly maneuvering his way around the tree, trying to find where the younger ones were kept.

Vasth nodded,Vasth heard that the ice phoenixes are strong,they have deadly attack and high defence,Vasth looked the surroundings there wasn't a adult phoenixes to be seen but they still need to be careful,they both climbed higher.As he got high they finally got to the a nest of young ice phoenixes.Vasth nodded to Xion. 

"Let's hope you can tame one,I will be on the look out."

Xion slowly walked towards one of the young phoenixes that was resting within the nest, it's head perks up, curious as he approaches. Xion smiles, before getting the food item out of his inventory, offering it to the phoenix. It looks at the food, examining it, before turning away and going back to resting, not interested any more. "Damn..." Xion said, before turning to Vasth. "I suggest we hide out here until we get the chance to try again"

Vasth sigh as Xion failed,Vasth nodded and then he heard something land behind him...........he turn and saw an adult ice phoenix.

"XION RUN!!" Vasth quickly leap off toward a branch below and parkoured down.He looked up to see if Xion was following and where the phoenix was following them.

Xion's eyes widened as he sawy the adult Ice pheonix landed, mere metres away from Xion as it spread it's wings, in an effort to intimidate the player, and it worked. He ran. He ran out of the nesting area and jumped out of the tree, landing on a lower branch as Vasth landed on the ground, unfortunately Xion was a tank build, not the nimble warrior that Vasth was so he ran down another branch before dropping to the ground completely, landing with a large thud and the clanging of metal on metal. "Into the forest, it's too dense for it to follow us" he said before running as fast as he could into the forest, the trees becoming thicker and thicker as he did, until his legs could carry him no more. 

 

"I...I think we lost it" he said, panting ans out of breath.

Vasth landed on the ground suddenly his legs ached of pain but never the less, Vasth sprinted towards the tree with the ice phoenix on his tail. He sprinted into the forest behind Xion.He ran so much when Xion stopped and said 

"I...I think we lost it" 

Vasth just fell into the snow face first and groaned in the snow the landing killed his leg he couldn't even stand. Vasth pushed himself over

"Dude...*Huff*....I.*Huff*...need to rest a bit."

Xion nodded, huffing a little himself "That...was...too close....for my liking..." he said, as he tried to catch his breath, eventually sitting down in the snow, in an attempt to recover. "I knew that adults were big, and powerful...but nothing like that" he said, as he looked up to see the Adult Ice Phoenix circling, above, trying to find them. "It's pretty pissed off, getting into the nesting area again is going to be a pain, as now she knows that someone is trying to get to her children"

Vasth slowly sat up,he laid on a tree.He rubbed his legs.

"Yeah we need to wait for a while if we want to go back and tame one." Vasth pulled out a bottle of water.He looked over at the tree far away....no phoenix in sight...for now.

"Man,My legs never ached much,only when I trained in the real world a lot." He wiped his sweat off his forehead.
