[SP-F4] The Crystal Cavern, Lindow's Destructive Force!

Recommended Posts

The Crystal Fiend jumped up and down with its fists up in the air as if blowing off some steam that its last attack had missed squashing Lindow like a pancake. Lindow got ready for the next attack, come whatever may. Instead of attacking Lindow it stood there fuming at him with its beady eyes. Lindow didn't drop his guard, but he would mock his opponent anyways and he stared back at him with equally narrow beady eyes. The monster grew in frustration, yelling and stomping his feet and pointing at Lindow with words uncommon words. Shaking his head, he couldn't understand the creature and decided it best to just let it run its course. Was this really happening? He gave a silent sigh...

Brimming with anger the Crystal Fiend turned to Lindow and brandished a dagger from its body. Now it was getting serious, Lindow thought to himself as he placed one foot over another in the small inlet of the cave. His eyes steadfast on the Ore Eater as he watched the footwork of the creature. Came charging straight at him with the dagger in both hands, it would aim to thrust it into his body and hopefully bring the human down to his playing level. There was a clank of metal against the ore dagger as the creature attempted to thrust the blade into his body. Lindow spun on his foot and slashed at the golem like creature and his swing went upwards across the chest and face of the fiend. It beckoned and yelled with unintelligible words as it backed away gripping its reflective face in pain.

Blarg! Blargh! -huff puff-

Lindow took a step back as the stone creature ranted and raved, its body was falling apart unable to keep its ore in place of its body. It was only a matter of time before the creature met its timely demise. Moving his foot out forward and holding his blade like a bat, Lindow was ready for the next series of attacks. Within a round or two, this battle would face its end. The stone creature revved up and threw its dagger straight at Lindow who was not expecting that action to occur. He lifted his mighty blade broadside out to deflect the incoming ranged dagger, yet he was unsuccessful and the blade struck his body and lodged itself in his shoulder. Stricken from the wound, he bent down on a knee and placed a hand on the stone blade and pulled it out of his arm. When he went in for the counter attack, the blade felt heavier and his wound gushed with blood as he stumbled forward and missed the mark.

The blood drained from the open wound, that was not a great at all. The little imp was able to wound him just as bad as the Snow Wolf, and now he was bleeding as well on top of all that. Gritting his teeth, Lindow held his hands on the hilt of his blade as he stammered to get up to his feet. He wondered if he could still swing his mighty greatsword with his injured shoulder. To add insult to injury, it was the shoulder he injured on the Force in the real world. He cursed lightly and started to sweat a little from the combat damage and the strain of the battle. Shaking his head, the old swordsman hefted the blade over his shoulder.

The crazy looking polished stone warrior laughed as the fiend hopped side to side despite being severely injured and picked up a pike like weapon from the ground. Laughing with a sort of broken voice, the creature charged at Lindow and struck him in the leg with the stone spear, he grunted and fell to one foot attempting to swipe the creature away with his mighty sword but with no such luck. He couldn't believe the condition he was in as he fell to both knees heaving and coughing.

He sputtered as blood was withdrawn from the wound and the pike was removed from his leg. Lindow was being stabbed and taken out easily by this common creature. He backed up slowly and fell against the cavern wall. He opened his mouth and looked over his shoulder, he could easily escape the confines of the cave right now, he could possibly take one more shot at the gollum before having to take a full on retreat. He didn't think anymore of the idea, a coward today and be alive tomorrow. Lindow pushed his weak body off the pillar and back to standing on his feet. He lifted the heavy sword off the ground and onto his shoulder blade and spread his feet apart. The creature ran up to Lindow and attempted to strike his knee once more with that pike. Lindow twisted one foot over the other and spun out of the way of the glass pike, he lifted his leg and slammed it down towards the ground breaking the spear, and the mighty sword in his hand came crashing down overhead of the creature destroying it's body with a clean attack.

Lindow huffed and wheezed falling back into the cavern wall and fell in a puddle of his own blood. He would rest here before moving on...

Taking a break against the wall, Lindow slowly got up to his feet. The bleeding had stopped and he was in no shape or form to continue battling monsters. The next node he would search for materials would be back at the safety of the frozen pond. His eyes stared at the exit as he retraced his steps, his feet dragging behind him slowly as he recuperated his strength. As he made his way out there was a cold blast of air from the wintry land as he felt his shoulder with his arm, a slight sting approached it as he made his way to the frozen pond.

Coming closer to it, he sank his body down and rested getting the catching net out of his inventory. He wheezed slightly and fell over the ice, he placed the net down and splashed the cold water onto his face. The brisk feeling overcame his body as he shot backwards and shivered. Taking back the net, he dipped it into the waters and fished around for some more materials.

Lindow brought up his net and examined the contents, there was nothing in there but one ordinary material and he sighed. Feeling the frustration of the day mounting over his back, shoulder and neck. He got up and sallied forth back into town. His eyes one the long road back to the snowy village where he would rest up before going back out into the fields.

Coming to an inn, Lindow brought his feet to a halt and stomped them down onto the ground to not drag the snow into the loft. He got himself a room and made way his way towards the bed. Resting comfortably by a roaring fire, Lindow sank into the covers that he brought over his head, he faced two foes that could have got the best of him and he came out with very little reward. He needed better equipment, hopefully what he had could serve in that department.
