Kino117 0 Posted September 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2015 (edited) The Sunny D is the top bar in Urbus, known for having so many delicious food, especially from the wild. There are also frequent bar 'duels' and dance, some of the patrons would crack jokes in front of everyone else. It is also a place to discuss important or trivial matters, such as boss raids or rumors of the woodlands. Kino steps into the Sunny D after a brawl with a bunch of wolf-like creatures, his sword just cleaned and polished from blood. He sits onto a lone seat and looks at the cheery warriors: males and females alike. At this point, his imaginary friend, Frank, appears before him, sitting at another empty seat just opposite him."Feeling isolated?" He speaks in his usual raspy voice. Kino only remains silent as he signals the waitress to come here. He orders a big glass of lemonade and a tasty meal of venison and potatoes. Kino117 0 Posted September 8, 2015 Author #2 Share Posted September 8, 2015 As the food arrives at his table, Kino spends a few minutes gobbling down his morsel, chugging his lemonade on several occasions. Throughout his dinner, he was thinking about heading to the woodlands for some loot. He may have no problems with it, but something tells him that cooperation is necessary this time.Frank observes the random incidents that are happening in the Sunny D now. A guy is cracking jokes that are bad, yet hysterical, much to his company's enjoyment. Nearly to the left, a group of female warriors seems to be discussing about the front lines, or even the admin of SAO. Furthest from the opposite of Kino's seat, someone is staring at his direction, but Kino took no notice of that.
Kino117 0 Posted September 8, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted September 8, 2015 After he finished his dinner, Kino starts inspecting his weapon, the blade is still in perfect condition. He also tested the durability of the shield by banging it against the sword (softly). After checking everything else (his remaining provisions and such) he stares at the ceiling as he looks up towards the ceiling. The noise starts to die down as some of the players already left the Sunny D for a goodnight's sleep. "Aren't you leaving this place?" asks Frank as his eyes gleamed with red light for seemingly no reason.".....not yet...."
Kino117 0 Posted September 9, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted September 9, 2015 His finger swipes downwards as he navigates to the map of the current floor he is on. Most of the floor's plot are covered by woodlands, but besides that, there are other settlements that are listed here. This includes the High Fields Of Crossing, Marome Village and Taran Village. Consumed by a spirit of excitement, adventure and some violence, Kino closes his menu interface and stands up, holstering his shield and sword. He walks out of the Sunny D and makes his run towards the woods.
Kino117 0 Posted September 9, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted September 9, 2015 After walking for an hour to the woodlands, Kino ventures through the woods, hoping to find a mini dungeon of some sort. No sooner before he could even traverse further, he hears loud, gigantic footsteps. Readying his shield and sword, he turns to this right as the footsteps grow louder, soon revealing itself as a giant, iron armored knight, equipped with a two handed sword. The giant raises his sword, the wind rustling through the area they are on.

Kino117 0 Posted September 9, 2015 Author #12 Share Posted September 9, 2015 (edited) The knight falls defeated onto the ground, giving off one last swing towards the player. The shield bounces off the attack, but it still couldn't bounce off the force of the sword's impact. Kino staggers a little, panting as he stares at the corpse of the knight. He remains armed as he walks past the body, hoping to find a structure or even another enemy for some loot. The walking only takes a few minutes, but it felt like an hour due to the darkness. Kino holsters his weapons and extends his hands towards the ground, hoping to find some firewood to build a campfire.Unfortunately, it would take some more time to do so. After another 20 minutes wasted, his hands finally grope what seems to be a pile of ash, and some wood. Someone must have been here before, and the campfire was about two days old since it was extinguished. Kino quickly uses the materials in front of him with a bow-drill technique, and 5 minutes later, the campfire roars back to life. He sits down to eat his five remaining bread and drank some water. Kino117 0 Posted September 9, 2015 Author #13 Share Posted September 9, 2015 After another nice meal of one of his three cooked boar meat, Kino surveys the are around him. To his luck, there is a structure that seems to look like a half-destroyed cabin. To the right of the cabin, there is another cabin, but the latter is intact although it seems abandoned. The third structure at the right of the second is no more than a bunch of brick walls and the foundation of a cabin. Kino is puzzled to their presence in the woodlands, who built these? Is this part of the woodlands a former settlement?
Kino117 0 Posted September 9, 2015 Author #14 Share Posted September 9, 2015 The door of the middle cabin suddenly opens, letting out an eerie creak. The warrior's eyes become wide open as he sees a shuffling, corpse-like humanoid stepping out of the door. The faint light from the campfire shows the figure to be a horrific walking cadaver, its organs still visible and intact in its body. As it sense his presence, it lets out a loud yell and rushes towards Kino. He quickly draws out his sword and shield, standing in a defensive stance as the cadaver reaches out for him with its strong hands.
