"That way." That was what the man said to Kiro when he asked where he could find mobs suitable for a beginner, like a boar. Instead, Kiro found himself evading wolves, and narrowly escaping unspeakable dangers. Why did Kayaba make floor 1 so vast? Kiro was sure he would be on another floor by now, but that was unlikely. His sense of direction wasn't that bad, was it? 

 

Sighing, Kiro slowed down as if taking an ordinary stroll. At least, as ordinary a stroll as anyone who had done such a stroll for hours, running from mobs at certain intervals, then it was definitely ordinary. Bringing his hands to his mouth, Kiro shouted. "Hello! What floor am I on?!" After hearing not a single response but his own echo, Kiro repeated the ritual.
