(SP-F1) Boaring Thread COMPLETE!

Ebony walked out of the eastern gate of the city, heading straight. She didn't have any new equipment, but she had ordered some, and hopefully she would get it soon. She really needed skill points and materials though, so she was going to go out hunting. She had leveled up enough that it wasn't too dangerous, so she could probably take a herd of boars if she was exceedingly careful. She unsheathed her dagger and made her way further into the field. If she was going to be a healer she needed to get the first aid skill. She was only a couple of points off.

Ebony wasn't entirely sure that she should be out hunting by herself, but no one was going to stop her. She was her own woman! She leaned down and chopped a few of the plants up, hoping to get some materials. She was going to attack some boars, but she wasn't near to any and she didn't want to waste any time. There could very easily be mats just lying around, and she didn't want to miss any.

Ebony wasn't successful in finding any materials in her slashing up plants, so she moved on to a small herd of boars that were up ahead. She ran forwards, activating a sword skill as she did so. Her blade glowed dark red, and she twirled around, slicing into the four boars twice each, defeating them all, but using up all of her energy at the same time. She only had one AOE attack, but as it happened it was apparently extremely powerful. She had been able to one shot four at once, and they had all apparently met the loot requirements as she received four materials for it.

Now that that was done, she was out of energy. Ebony knew that she should probably wait for her energy to recover, but that was just so boring. Still, she wasn't an idiot, so she started to search the ground for materials. After a couple of seconds she came to the conclusion that the game hated her as there was nothing but dirt and weeds where she was looking. She stood up straight and started to move to another section to search, steering clear of mobs for the time being.

Ebony walked for a couple of yards before getting down on her knees and sifting through the dirt. It was a boring job, and a dirty one, but you did what you had to for materials. After a few moments she stumbled upon what appeared to be a small gold nugget. It registered as a material, so she stored It in her inventory. Things appeared to be looking up, and she smiled. She had heard terrible things abut material hunting, but it didn't appear to be all that bad.

Ebony continued searching the area for materials, but could find nothing else. She stood up, noticing that her energy bar had completely filled up while shed been searching. It was time to hunt some more boars. She unsheathed her dagger and went off to find some more boars. Maybe she would be as lucky as she had been before. She felt that that had been an extraordinary stroke of luck though, and didn't expect it to ever happen again.

Ebony saw yet another herd of boars up ahead. She charged towards them, shouting a war cry. She thought she looked pretty cool, but in reality she just looked dumb. She activated the same sword skill as last time, <<Round Accel>>. She twirled around in a circle, her blade slicing into each of the mobs twice. They burst into blue and green crystals immediately, and she was left stunned by her strength. Was she really that strong? Or had she just gotten lucky? She tapped the accept button to accept the loot. There was even more than last time, eight mats instead of four.

Ebony smiled at her good fortune, and turned her eyes to the ground again. She needed her energy to regenerate, and that would take a few minutes, just like last time. In the mean time she would search the ground for mats. She scoured the ground with her eyes, but came across nothing. It looked like materials weren't commonly found just lying on the ground. Still, it wasn't about to stop her from finding them. She was in a great mood, and nothing was going to get her down.

She continued to search the ground until she was certain that there weren't any in the surrounding area. It didn't get her down though. She already had more materials than she had expected to get in 3 hunts. Her goal had been to get 5 total, and now she had thirteen, over twice what she had been trying to get. She glanced around the area, looking for another pack of boars or a better place to search for materials. She didn't see any more boars, so she just kept walking, looking for materials.

Ebony slammed her foot into a rock that was on the ground, tripping and falling over. She caught herself with a clumsy roll, and lay on her back. She got to her feet and turned around to see what exactly she'd tripped on. It looked to be a chunk of silver. She wondered how she could have missed it when she was searching the ground so carefully. That didn't really matter though, she saw it now and that was all that mattered. She leaned down and picked it up off of the ground, placing it in her inventory.

Her energy was almost back to full, so she looked around for another boar or group of boars. Seeing one in the distance, she continued forwards towards it, scanning the ground on the way for any type of material. Materials seemed to function as a type of currency, so getting a bunch of them would equate with being rich. She looked over to her energy bar again. It was full, and that meant it was time to hunt some more mobs.

She looked back up only to find that there were four more boars in front of her that she hadn't seen before. She dodged to the side, avoiding an attack, and charged up her sword skill again, unleashing <<Round Accel>> again. She twirled around, her blade slicing into the boars, causing them to burst into blue and green crystals. There was another four materials to add to her inventory. She was amazed by her luck, and not quite sure if she was actually awake.

It was starting to get late, but Ebony wasn't ready to go back to the city just yet. She was having good luck, and she wanted to take advantage of that while she could. She sheathed her sword and searched around for materials while she waited for her energy to recharge. It was an annoying system, the energy thing, but she understood why it was in place. If it wasn't players could use powerful attacks over and over again without pausing.

Ebony scanned the ground as she walked, her eyes alighting on what looked to be a chunk of marble. She was unsure if it counted as a material, but she picked it up and looked it over anyway. As it happened it did count as a material. She already had plans to carve it into a statue or something. She deposited it in her inventory before looking back up to make sure that she wasn't about to fall in a pit or something.

Confident that she wasn't about to walk into a pit, Ebony averted her eyes from in front of her and back down towards the ground. Where their was one materials there were sure to be others. After a few moments, her eyes lit upon another piece of marble, and she picked it up and put it in her inventory. She expected that she would wake up any moment, but she was going to enjoy the feeling of being lucky while she could.

Although she had been lucky so far, Ebony didn't want to push it. She had more than enough materials, and she didn't want to risk coming across a group of boars that she couldn't handle. She wasn't planning on dying anytime soon, so she continued to look around for materials. She had her eyes open for anything that looked like a material. She couldn't see any, so she turned around and started to head back. It was getting late and she could do some more searching on the way back.

She could just barely make out the starting city in the distance, and she realized that she was a bit further out than she'd thought. It would take a while to get back, but she would likely get there before the sun set fully. She started to walk back quickly, stopping only to scoop up a small chunk of some unidentifiable metal that was lying under a bush. It registered as a material so she put it in her inventory with the rest of the materials she'd received.

The city was growing larger in the distance, and Ebony sheathed her dagger so that she could move a bit faster. She didn't want to trip and stab herself with her own blade after all. It was the same concept as not running with scissors, except she was actually carrying a weapon, so it was even more dangerous. She didn't plan on getting into any more fights, so it should be fine. It was a straight shot to the cities eastern gate.

Ebony continued jogging back towards the city, her legs starting to ache a bit from the constant exertion. She was tired, even though it wasn't all that late, and was hoping to get back and deposit her materials soon so that she could head off to get some rest. It had been a good day for material hunting, and she had no doubt that she would never be this lucky again. This was one of those once in a lifetime experiences.

Ebony let out a sigh of relief as she entered the starting city. She had expected something terrible to happen in order to offset her good luck, like an attack from a player killer, or some sort of strange field boss spawn. She'd heard of things like that happening before and was relieved that it hadn't happened to her. She was in no position to be fighting a boss solo, and she doubted she ever would be. She was going to be a support class. People would rely on her, but more than that she would be relying on them.
