(PP-F1) 'Sup (Rag) COMPLETE!

Recommended Posts

Ebony leaned against the wall of a shop, looking as confident as she possibly could. It was a habit, and a bad one, as she was truly an extremely shy person. Still, she had read somewhere that looking confident made you confident. It had gradually become a habit, and hadn't actually helped with her shyness at all. She needed to level up, but she just wasn't feeling up to it at the moment. She really needed new equipment before she could go out and fight mobs seriously. The sun was high in the sky, casting a cheery glow over everything. Still, the starting city had that feeling of over crowdedness and loss of hope. At least, that was how it felt to Ebony. The starting city was filled with those who had given up on ever leaving the game, or those to lazy to help.

I walked through the streets. He fingered by weapon and watched everything carfully. I couldn't help it. It was a habit, watch people see if they get uncomfortable, afraid, see if anyone's breaking the law. I eyed a couple of people in particular but if anyone was going to do something they wouldn't do it here. As soon as I had had gotten over the fact that I was stuck inside a fricking death game I had begun patrolling the streets of the city. I had watched for criminals and people of the sorts and that was what I was doing today.

There really wasn't much to say. Ebony wasn't about to walk up to strangers without good reason, but a player had just walked by, looking like he was patrolling or something. It was slightly comical as it was pretty obvious he was a low level like her. Odds are if anyone broke some kind of law and he interfered he would get kicked out of the safe zone and killed. She thought that she owed him some sort of warning. From a moral point of view, players had to stick together, and from a logical point of view, the more friends the better. She stood up straight, walking towards them, her own hand on the pommel of her dagger for comfort. Even though weapons didn't do damage in the safe zone her weapon still comforted her a bit. "Hey! 'Sup?" She called out, crushing her shyness and fear by shear force of will. Sometimes you had to do something you were afraid of doing, regardless of whether or not you actually wanted to.

I stopped and turned. "Hello." I say and smile. "Can I help you miss. As you can probably tell I am patrolling right now." I say a charismatic smile marking his face. He begins walking towards the female and looks around. Everything seems fine he can probably take a break.

Ebony raised an eyebrow. "Why are you patrolling? This is a safe zone, you cant get hurt here." She didn't mention his lack of gear, so as not to insult him. Her goal wasn't to make enemies, just to make sure he didn't get hurt attempting to patrol like that. Wait a second... She didn't usually care about other people like this. She'd just ignore them and go on her way. She sighed. Manta's personality and attitude must be rubbing off on her. She had been doing a ton of training lately to bring up her healing skills, and the majority of that training had been fighting quest bosses with Manta, a high level player who seemed to care about other people a bit too much. "Regardless, you look like you might want some help, or at least a bit of company." She gave him her signature smirk. It wasnt a rude smirk, but rather a friendly yet playful one. She rarely smiled.

"The word safe is kind of a joke. Sure you can't die that doesn't mean someone won't stalk you or deal lethal to you in a half depletion or first hit dual. See my concern" he says flashing his own smile. "I don't think I have gotten you name miss." I say taking a deep breath. "Or your level." I add.

Ebony thought that his reasoning was pretty good, right up until the duel bit. "What are you going to do if that happens? You cant deal damage as you arent part of the duel. I understand the rest of what your saying though, and thats very commendable. I'm Rose, or Ebony. You can call me either, or something else entirely. As for level, thats not very polite to ask immediately. We barely know each other, how do I know if I can trust you?" She gave him a light punch on the shoulder to show that she wasn't offended by his question. "Would you mind if I joined you? I dont have anything planned at the moment, and you seem like a nice guy." In truth she had been planning to go out with Manta again, but decided that that could wait. She quickly pulled up her messaging system and sent Manta a message stating that she wouldn't be able to show up.

On reflex my hands shot up to cover my face as the fist came towards me. It lightly shook my shoulder and I felt almost nothing but my body atomactically perpared for a fight. I took a deep breath and relaxed. "Sorry bout that old habits die hard." I joke "I am going to assume your level 3 by the looks of it so that's what I am going off of, but yeah a little fast." I was mildly shocked someone wanted to hang out with me, and a girl that wasn't giving children nightmares every time she walked by. "Oh yeah the duel thing is just so when I am powerful enough to fight them I challenge them to a full depletion and kill them." I say. "And sure come along I would be glad to have company."

Ebony let out a little chuckle as he estimated her to be six levels lower than she really was. It wasn't a bad guess though, as none of the equipment she had ordered had been made yet. The only equipment she had on her besides her starter dagger was the necklace around her neck, a simple blue crystal on a thin silver chain. She had noticed his reaction to her joking punch and made a mental note not to do it again. "Dont worry about it, its my fault. And thats certainly an interesting goal. We both want to help, but in completely different ways. I think thats interesting." He wanted to help by killing the bad players, while she wanted to help out by healing all players. She fell into step beside him. "Im not set up for PvP, but if you ever need to fight mobs ill be there if you ask."

"I have never actually been in PvE in this game, I want to but I keep on fearing I will die and you know dieings not good." I say calmly. He took steps as he walked through the streets. "Say do you want to maybe party of like freind me or something I mean I could obviously use some help" he said moving his hands I front of his body showing his starting gear, "And I don't really bring much to the table but a connection you don't need." He said laughing. He looked at her and smiled "pleeeease."

"Im here to keep people from dying. Im a healer build, so that's what I bring to the table." She gave him a tiny smile, not entirely sure that she wanted to friend him. She didn't usually friend people so quickly, as she didn't want people she didn't absolutely trust to know her location. She brought up her HUD and sent him a party request, not a friend request. Maybe she would send him a friend request later if they got to know each other better. "We all start out weak, once you level up youll likely be a very important connection. And even if you dont turn out to be an important connection, friends are always important."

The screen appeared and I clicked the blue button. underneath my health bar her username appeared. "So Ebony what do you want to do." I asked. I was up for what ever as long as it didn't involve death, murder, killing. Anything that would kill me. I drew my blade as I walked and looked at ebony. "How do you heal people, most MMORPGS there is magic and healing spells and stuff and as far as I can tell theirs none of that."

Ebony recalled how the healer she had met a few days ago had explained it to her. "We can go hunting if youd like. You might not be a high enough level for it to be safe though. And... Healing is a skill. It's known as <<First Aid>>. The skill is how well you can heal, and how effective your healing is. No matter what your skill level in it, you still need a tool to heal with, such as bandages, or these medicine patches." She pulled out a handful of what appeared to be squares of cloth filled with something. The outer edges were adhesive. "I stick one of these on my target, and they get the effects if my healing is successful." She said, attempting to explain how she did what she did.

"So basically you stick something on a guy and vola, no offence but it sounds kinda easy." I say. "I mean I am sure it took you a long time to learn it but why doesn't everyone just carry those things around and stick them on people." I ask. I wasn't trying to be mean just stating my opinion and considering what I had seen it was kinda pointless everyone had such big bulky armor and was so hard to hit.

Ebony sighed. "Unless you have a high level healing skill it doesnt do much. Sure, you can buy potions, but those cost col or materials. Healing from a healer is completely free, no cost at all. Im there for when players get into a bad situation. Everyone has bad luck and can get hurt pretty badly. I can heal them and keep them from dying. Some people have high evasion and rarely get hit, but when they do get hit they get hit hard, sometimes into the red. Thats why I'm an important part of the game." She continued her explanation. "Here, follow me." She turned around and ran out of the gate, out of the safe zone entirely. She walked over to a boar and let it attack her. She ignored it and turned to Rag. "Here." She tossed him one of her medicine patches. "Try to use this on me." With the boars attention on her, Rag should be completely safe, the boar attacking her and not him.

Boar: 1/1 HP (The boars health is low as we arent getting loot from it anyway.)

I looked around and walked forward. I placed the pad on her and raised my eyebrow. "Did it do anything, do I have to activate something?" I asked not really sure the point she was trying to get across. The boars breath beat down on my skin as it perpared to attack.

Ebony smiled at him. "My point is that you don't have a skill to activate. Without the skill the pads do nothing. And without a high level in healing youll barely heal anything if you can even successfully activate the skill." She said by way of explanation. She really didnt care if the boar kept attacking, she could take it's hits for an extremely long time. "The drawback is that you cant heal yourself, only others. It's better than the battle healing skill because it's more versatile. In a group of players I can heal the people who need it instead of just myself." She pulled the patch off and tossed it to the side. The patch burst into blue and green crystals as it hit the ground.

"Seems okay, so you want maxed healing and maxed Battle healing so you can heal others and yourself?" I asked. This seemed like a cool concept just not for his usual play style. I looked around as the boars ate at virtual grass. They stumbled about as they walked and red plumbobs floated over their heads.

Ebony laughed out loud. "Hell no! Battle healing isn't my sort of thing. Im maxing out my healing, and then maxing out my dagger skills. Battle healing is a skill for when your strong enough to hold your own. Im nowhere near where I need to be to even think about battle healing. I still have eighty-two skill points to go before I get to that point." She said, giving him the number she had calculated she needed to max out both her sword skills and her healing. It was certainly a long way away, and she doubted she would be getting there any time soon. She unsheathed her dagger and stabbed the boar that was attacking her right between the eyes, causing it to burst into blue and green crystals. "Anyways, we should probably get back into the safe zone. I'd hate to be responsible for your death."

"Okay let's go." I say. The boar explodeds and I feel like clapping. I walk back inside and look around. "So what do you want to do Ebony? Grab a bite, maybe explore, I am up for anything." I say. I was so bored I would be willing to lie on the ground and let people walk on my face just for fun. "I mean you must be hungry or something." I say
