[PP:F4] The Day I Met Jesuskun <<Avalanche>> (Zelrius)

Recommended Posts

Isadora stood on the bluff overlooking the tundra below. The snow fell silently upon her as the small girl marveled at the gargantuan ice beast that walked across the frozen open plain below. “There’s no [censored] way I could ever beat that hugemongous son of a [censored] the small girl cursed. Dora had the tendency to swear excessively when dismay fell upon her. Still only a first level, the tiny brunette still had not figured a way to build levels. She’d yet to try questing, but every beast she went to research in her explorations only seemed to get bigger and way more dangerous. If she couldn’t even level how was she to accomplish obliterating said monsters?

The falling snow stuck to her unblinking eyelashes, as she stared out into the distance watching every step the monster took. The little cogs in her mind turned and whirled, but no solution to be found for her problem save one: she was going to have to rely on another badass to get her a boost up. Badasses on lower floors however, were far and few between. There were usually only losers, weenies and little girls like herself that were left behind to scrounge up the dregs that higher leveled players left in their wake. Maybe she could hire one of these upper level players. It was too bad she didn’t have Col. She was definitely going to need to find a way to earn herself a way to get higher ups to help her. That was now her new mission. She just needed to know how to accomplish this.

Zelrius stood at the exit of Snowfrost before exiting. His cloak was covered in snow and beginning to form a thin lay of ice on the surface of it. He grunted, haiting this and completely amazed he had not quite defeated this particular boss or quest yet. Nonetheless, he Trekked up the mountain in search of the said location, having visited before. Though he had actually beaten this boss many a time, it was never by his own accord or with his own acceptance of the quest. This time was different, he had accepted it and was now finding his way up the slope to complete it. The sword of the two Archangels, Lucifer and Michael in each hand. One, the sword of Lucifer, a Spike black blade with a red stripe down the middle. The other, The blade of Michael, was a pristine and perfectly crafted and edged all white sword, a Golden cross going down it's center. The boy stopped a few feet from the two rocks that signified the entrance to the boss area, disappointed at how terribly easy this will be.

As she stared off into the distance, Dora was brought back to the moment with the soft sound of crunching snow beneath the footfalls of another player approaching.  Her head turned and her eyes met up with a vision she’d longed to see. It was a badass. Not any badass, but one she’d luckily laid eyes on before. She had seen this man some days before on the first floor. It was just from a distance, but she remembered how his very presence commanded everyone to pay attention to him.  Now that she could observe him at a closer distance she could see that he was truly someone worthy of being admired. In each hand, he held a sword: the first, something out of her very nightmares, dark and foreboding; the other a shining beacon of light and hope. Could he really fight using both? Was this a real thing? She’d never heard of anyone would could do this. If this were indeed not a joke, Dora wanted to witness such an amazing feat.

“Excuse me…” the little girl said upon approach, “You’re going to do something very cool aren’t you? Do you think I can party with you? I would like to witness this, please?” She asked politely. Even if he didn’t agree to helping her some experience, she really just wanted him to let her come with him so she could see him use his two swords.

Zelrius threw a glance the direction of a silhouette in the not so far distance. Of course, his horrible vision didn't help with that, at all. It appeared to be a little girl, one he had a fleeting familiarity with, but still had no clue. He looked to her, and for a moment, Zelrius considered ignoring her and pressing on into the area of the boss so he could have this done and over with quick. All of that went out the window when the little girl spoke. He really wanted to decline her request to party, but it was something about the way she said things that hit the golden haired Commandant right in the soft spot. "See something cool? Here goes nothing," He said, breathing out and then back in loudly. "There you have it, cool enough?" He laughed, really trying to find a way to tell her 'No', but honestly, he just couldn't. "I suppose I can make an exception for you" The boy said more to himself than to her, sending her a party invite. He patted her on the head and then made his way between the two cliff sides.

Within moments the boss spawned and Zelrius only grinned at the low amount of HP it had. Both swords in hand, the boy charged forth and activated his attack, Eclipse. He had attacked so many times in a short time span, that to anyone looking on ward, It would be impossible to distinguish just how many swings and slashes he had done exactly. And just like that, the boss fizzed up, and died, being replaced with the "Congratulations" Window that all monsters left behind

Dora’s request was answered first with a bit of teasing. The player breathed in and then exhaled and asked if that were good enough. Instead of getting mad, she found she could only giggle and shake her head no at his antics. She liked this guy. He was funny! He looked at her and then said he would make an exception for her, and honored her request by sending her a party invitation. Isadora smiled brightly and immediately accepted. A name and health bar appeared on her display. So he was called Zelrius. Zelrius was an awesome name for a total badass. With that accepted the older boy patted her on the head and then went off to show her something she would never forget.

The fight was over before it even happened. The golden haired man struck and crashed and hacked and slashed at the great ice beast more times than Dora could count. He was too quick to see and what she mainly saw was flashes of light and then a red shower of pixels as the beast exploded into nothing. Her tiny mouth went slackjaw as she stood there in reverence of this God-like being called Zelrius. Dora ran down the embankment, sliding most of the way and came near tumbling at the older boy.

“THAT WAS [CENSORED] AMAZING!” she cursed in excitement, “What did you do? How did you do that? Are you a God?” She babbled so many questions at him. As she spoke something glittery in the snow caught her eye and quickly Dora scampered off to retrieve it. What she found was a bottle with a shimmery substance contained inside. “I think Avalanche dropped this when you killed it!” She said offering Zelrius the bottle with both hands.

The boy landed and turned around, only to see in an instant the small figure nearly throwing herself down the slope and in his direction. As she drew closer, Zelrius stuck his arms out to catch her in case she fell, which she did not. For a moment, the boy admired her apt stability as at that level, Zelrius would have merely tumbled down the slope. He exploded into laughter at her cursing. It seemed so unexpected, and didn't match the voice, at all. The boy's thoughts drifted for only a minute to how he too cursed when he was the age Zelrius thought he knew she was. 14, Maybe 13? "How I did? That is a rather simple question there, Young Lady." He stopped and read her name "Dora is it? Well, allow me to introduce myself." He gave a low bow and then stood back up "I am Zelrius, Commandant of the Azure Brigade, Champion of the Clash Blades tournament, and Dual Wielder of Aincrad."

The boy smiled happily and put his gloved hands under hers, pushing them back to her before drawing his hands back to himself. "I think you can have that drop. It really is no use to me," His arrogance was clearly still in his voice, even in the face of a little girl like Dora. But at the same time, He felt like such a douchebag for showing off this much to a little kid.

All of Dora’s questioned were answered simply in one perfectly stated introduction. He bowed to her deeply and let her know exactly who he was.  Apparently he was Zelrius… the most awesome player in SAO. He ran a guild, won a big tournament, and apparently used a sword skill she didn’t even know existed until now. “So you are a God then…. “She answered in admiration as he stood up tall looking all the more awe-inspiring in her eyes.

When she’d offered him his prize, he simply took her little hands and moved them away stating she could keep what he’d won. “Really? Thank you!” She said and hugged the bottle gratefully. She had no idea what the potion was for, but it was her first drop and she was happy to receive an item. Zelrius stood there proudly and she could understand why. He was living her dream. He had cool items, could do kickass things. He probably even fought on the frontlines! “Ummm Zelrius… should we get moving? I know you could take another respawning no problem…but if I get hit by that damn Avalanche, I’m as good as dead.” She said as she began to scurry back up the embankment and away from the spawn point.

"A God? I suppose that's one word for it..." The boy spoke and for a moment his arrogant facade disappeared. He really had thought about it and then his attention was turned to the bottle. "No problem, Lady." Zelrius referred to most everyone as Lady and Sir, but it was up to them to keep that title, something more common in recent days. She spoke and than turned and ran back up the Slope. For a moment, the boy was confused and laughed slightly as she cursed once more, than realized that she was serious. The boy looked at her HP bar and than shook his head. Figures, And he immediately regretted those words. He felt bad for insulting a little girl, even if it was subconsciously and by habit. No, especially since it was subconsciously and by habit.  The boy ran up the slope just as quickly as he had flown down it, He thought for a moment and decided to scoop her up upon doing so and carrying her out and away from the rocks. Setting her back down in a safe area, the boy spoke once more. "I suppose I did my daily agenda for the day. I am off to head back to town and enjoy some time off. You're free to accompany me if you want."

“I knew you were a God!” the little girl said with a smile before attempting to travel back uphill. Dora was scrambling up the snowy embankment when she was lifted up and carried the rest of the way up the hill and upon reaching the top she was set down. “Thanks,” she said rather appreciative of having gotten away from avalanche without having to do anything. With the quest complete, Zelrius said he was about to head out and even invited the little girl along. “Hell yes I’m going with you!” She beamed as she agreed to go with her newfound savior. “After you,” she politely said as she stepped aside to follow Zelrius where he would lead her.

"I figured you might." In the distance the boy spotted a small circle of enemies. "A Tribe of Yetis? It must be my damned lucky day," His grin widened. The boy drew the sword of Lucifer and instead of pulling out his other weapons, Zelrius used his free right hand to undo the leather strap that held it to him. Once he got it off the boy pulled the golden sheath away from him and turned to Dora, kneeling down to her eye level. "Do me a favor and hold onto this for me, Okay? Take good care of that, You so much as touch the end of that blade and it really could drain your HP to nothing. Don't go swinging it at people either, You would turn Orange in an instant, Understood?" He stood back up, patting her head then pulling out 2 Kabobs and 2 Turkey legs given to him by Ssendom specifically for grinding purposes. He handed one of each to the girl, thinking it was rude to eat in front of someone without offering any. After quickly disposing of his food, he rapidly rifled through his inventory and found a BloodRage Crystal. That would be that, He was at maximum Damage output. Free now of the Blade of Michael, Zelrius equipped the AC Pendant and Azure Rose Items.

(OOC, Can consume as many things as I want so long as I am not in combat in the same turn, correct me if wrong.)

Dora happily followed behind Zelrius as he led her away from the battlefield and toward elsewhere. Their excursion was interrupted by some yeti that began to circle them. Zelrius’s face lit up like Christmas and the young man began to search through his inventory, removing things and adding things. Zelruis pulled a blade from his belt and then from its sheath and turned the handle to Dora placing it in her small hands. He explained that she needed to hold onto the weapon, and the little girl nodded heeding his warning. If she touched the blade, she would die, and if she swung the weapon at another player, she’d instantly turn orange like the player killers.”Kay,” Dora said as she stood up straight and hung onto the blade carefully.

Once she was in place, Zelruis then pulled some food from his inventory and proceeded to eat things. “I don’t think this is the time for a snack!” Dora said as the Golden God handed her some of his munchings and crunchings. The tiny brunette had already eaten lunch however, and wasn’t yet hungry again. So she simply tucked away her new goodies to be saved for a later meal. “Thank you,” the small girl added as she put her items away into her inventory. Zelruis was ready, and now so was she. Excitement built as she watched her companion eagerly waiting what he’d do next.

This was best time Dora had in SAO thus far.
