[SP-F1] Solo Hunting expedition 2

"I guess I can fit one of two monster in. But first, I need a rest." Nobuyuki said, as he settled down behind a rock, away from monster aggro range. Pulled out a loaf of bread, and a water bottle, he take a quick break. Sitting down alone on his own, it's certainly a familiar feeling. He have been like this for mostly his whole life, but in this, he felt something new, loneliness. Maybe it's time for him to do something about it. Maybe with a partner, he wont feel so lonely anymore. It's an internal argue about the pros and cons about partnering and see if it was worth it.

"Alright. Time to head out and get some more farm up." Nobuyuki said, left his resting spot and resume his grinding for experience and equipment. He have the Helmet of Clear Sight equipped from a mob loot previously, so things should getting somewhat better. Still, he need to not go beyond his limits, for a one slip up means he's dead for good. Located two boars near by, Nobuyuki took his chances and aggro both of them. As the two came toward him, he charged up the sword art, and swung his sword horizontally. The sword swipe through both of the monster, damage them greatly. While dodging one attack, the second one managed to land a hit onto Nobuyuki's rib, and knocked him to his side, quickly stood up, he glared at the pigs.

"Ow, my rib. That really hurt. Did they turned the pain inhibitor off?" Nobuyuki wondered. The pain felt like his rib was going to cracked. Focused his mind onto the job, he charged up the sword art once again and ran toward the two pig. The same technique, as he gave a wide slash toward the two monsters standing side to side. The sword cut through both of them, as the two pig fell down and died. Nobuyuki sheathed his sword, regroup himself and head out again.

"Today seemed like a beautiful day." Nobuyuki thought, as he traveled on the field of green grass. Stepped down from a tall hill, he let himself fell back onto the grass, and relaxed. He took a deep breath in, and a exhale slowly. He could feel his muscle relaxed after tense battles. Like a nature bed, the grass soften the floor, let Nobuyuki laid down without hurting himself from chunky rocks and rough dirt. At that moment, he momentarily let go of fighting, and enjoy what life offered him. Breath in deeply, and exhale slowly, Nobuyuki used this yoga breathing technique to calm his mind, and rest his muscle. Suddenly, out of nowhere in his emptied mind, a wild question. "I wonder if the thingy in here felt the same as realize?" The question break Nobuyuki's relaxing state, as he suddenly confused himself by thinking a question as such. Scrambling to his feet, he resume the grinding task.

"I missed the real world." Nobuyuki ponder. He looked up into the sky as he walked upon the hillls,thinking of the chaos that would happened in the real world. Then he realize, between this and reality, they're almost the same. He can feel the things surrounds him, the grass, the wind, the sunlight, the hit from every monster. Is this what Kayaba was hoping to create, a second reality? Nobuyuki was reminded about his childhood, and how he wanted to make a kingdom far up in the sky, for everyone to live in together, happily. It's what AinCrad truly is. A giant castle up in the sky, but only the people living in it isn't happy. Could it be, that somehow, in some way, he shared the same ideas as Kayaba, the creator of this game? "No, it couldn't be. There's no way it could've ever be. He's a villain, an evil master mind with sick intention. I can't share the same view as his. There's no way." He shook away the random thoughts and resum his task.

"Found one. Let's hope that he's alone. I hate getting gang up." Nobuyuki thought, looking down at the lone wolf roaming. He pulled out his sword and slowly approach it. However, stealth seemed like a bad option for the warrior, since the wolf have a keen sense of hearing and smelling. It turned around and face him. Nobuyuki readied his sword art and struck down onto the beast in a diagonal strike. The slash hit its mark, but it let him vulnerable to an attack. It snapped toward his foot, and took a bite out of it.

Nobuyuki raised his sword up hing again, charging an attack. As the wolf began to run toward him, Nobuyuki concentrate it its movement. Struck the sword down in a vertical angle, he slashed through the incoming wolf. The wolf fell down, and died, as Nobuyuki sheathed his sword and continue on. He could feel himself getting better and better at this.

Here's another one." Nobuyuki muttered. He located 2 goblin in the outer skit of Horunka. Slowly sneaking up at them, he hop that he can get the upper hand over the goblin. After all, goblin are still just stupid monster. From behind them, he leaped over the hill and threw a slash at one. The sword went through one of their head, and instead dragged him along off course. He dropped onto the floor, rolling. Getting up, he realized the mistake he have made, as the two goblin with their weapon aiming at him.

Nobuyuki charged his sword art, as he stood and wait for an oppotunity. The first goblin run up for an attack. Much like him, it slipped and fall onto its face. Looking at the goblin, he realize just how silly he look making the same mistake. While distracted, he was hit to the side by the other goblin. 

"Ow! Hitting people while they aren't noticing is not NICE!" He shouted at the goblin, before delivered a devastating uppercut. The thing was sent into the air, and shattered before it could even touch the ground. Nobuyuki turned his attention to the other goblin.

Nobuyuki could see that the other one ran up toward him. He's much slower than his friend, but his attack are still somewhat more in a wide angle. As he swung the sword, Nobuyuki decided to try something new. He swung his sword at the directions of the goblin's weapon coming. A loud clang. He successfully deflected the attack. Closed in for an attack, as his sword is glowing and the sword art ready, he swung his blade toward the goblin. One more consecutive attack sealed the kill. He sheath his sword, and continued on.

"Here comes one. Simple enough." Nobuyuki said, spotted another boar coming his way. He quickly approach the thing and drew his sword. A critical hit to the heart of the beast, as he thrust the sword forward. The pig squeal as he tried to retaliate, but by then, Nobuyuki has already fallen back a good distance. "Come on... One more." He muttered.

"This should be a quick one." Nobuyuki thought as he ran in for another strike. But this time, the boar was smarter. He move his head aside, ducked through the the diagonal cut of Nobuyuki's sword. With the razor sharp tusk coming back at him, Nobuyuki blocked the attack with his sword, and fall back.

Without hesitant, Nobuyuki ran in again for another strike. He whiffed it yet once more, as the boar retaliate. Jumping away from the attack, he climbed onto a small slope on a hill to get some high ground advantage. "Would you kindly just go down already!" He shouted at the pig, as it squealed back at him. "I'm talking to a pig. Is this how low I have become?" Nobuyuki subconscious mind spoke in a sarcastic tone.

Nobuyuki jumped back. He growled in anger, as he's getting a little frustrated with the boar. He's determine to land the one attack onto that stupid pig.

Cornered the pig between a tree, he confident that this one last hit would do it. Charged forward and thrust his sword into the boar. The hit landed dead center, killing the beast. "Finally. That took way too long." He sighed, sheath his sword and leave.

"That was the biggest goose chase I have ever done. I've had enough of these stupid boar." Nobuyuki sighed, sat down onto the green grass and rested. He took a bottle of water and drank. The refreshing cool water helps to keep himself awake as the sun began to set. Looking at the orrange skyline, he thought of how beautiful AinCrad could be sometimes. The weather is always nice, and the scenery is astonishing. He felt like he's living in his dream, a dream where he could die, and never woke up again.  Stand up, he returned to the hunting, determine to get some more points before it gets dark.

While walking, Nobuyuki didn't notice that a wolf is within Afro range. Unbeknownst to Him, the wolf leaped from the back and bit him in the arm. The attack make him jumped. Nobuyuki was pushed down onto the ground. Quickly back up on his feet and drew his sword, he turned around to his attacker, and readied his sword.

Nobuyuki swung his sword, but the edge of the blade slipped, making himself vulnerable to the wolf. It leaped from the ground and chomp the jaws onto his shoulder. Nobuyuki managed to pushed the thing off, shook off the pain and readied for an attack. "my health isn't looking good. Better end this thing fast before it ends me." He thought.

"Take this!" He shouted, as the sword art was fully charged. The sword swung in the air, in a diagonal arc. It landed on the wolf, and before he knew it, Nobuyuki returned the sword and slashed at it once more. The wolf took heavy damage, fell onto the ground and shattered into thousand pieces. Nobuyuki sheath his sword, decided it's enough for today, and head back to Starting City.
