[PP-F4] Friend of a Friend (Opal)

Recommended Posts

Emerath sat in his shop, poring over guild documents and organizing his thoughts. He had only just returned a night or two ago from training with Hans on the 2nd Floor, and he had since been lost in his work again. He sat back in his chair with a sigh, as the words of his documents began to run together. It was only midday, but Emerath was already exhausted, and honestly needed a break. He leaned on his hand, thinking of Hans, and he had also remembered the woman Hans had been speaking to before the crowd showed up. Emerath chuckled to himself, remembering how confused he was to see Hans with a woman, and he had managed to worm her name out of him after the fact when they left to go train together.

Emerath stood and gave a stretch, as he walked over to one of his burners and put on some tea, before opening up his menu to the name he had been given, Opal. He made contact with the woman, sending her a message of greeting, and of a desire to meet a friend of his guild mate's. He pushed off the message with a request to meet at his shop, and directions included, should she accept. About as he finished this, his tea was beginning to whistle on the burner, and he grabbed it, and took it out to the cozy main shop area, setting up his tea set, sugar, and cream, along with the tea itself of course, by the fire. A bit less formal than his usual, he was simply in his normal dress shirt and tie, slacks included with a pair of more casual, but still dress shoes. No doubt Emerath looked tired, but he hoped the woman wouldn't notice that as much. The prospect of meeting new friends certainly always worked to perk him up a bit anyway.

A day off from the grind, Opal had found herself in bed occupying a cigarette in one hand and the other flicking through her menu to see if there was any news on the new floor. Apparently no one had undressed that floor of its boss room yet, which was nothing of note as the Boss was just recently cleared. Taking in a delectable citrus drag from the orange stick, the woman had noticed an incoming message flashing in her mailbox. Curious ambers set forth to its station as she poked a button to bring up the message by a name she did not know of. The message itself was respectfully written and it seemed he knew of Hans. It made a bit more sense now, but she was still particular about such things as a random invite. Alas it was her day off, she had wanted to spend the day just lazing about in her room next to this warm fire, but if she wanted to get back into the swing of things and being a social person, she would need to establish more contacts, besides he might just be a nice person to talk to.

Lifting her almost nude body off the bed, the woman twisted around and planted her feet on the ground. Giving a slight shiver from her body exposed from underneath the warm comforter, she used her left hand to bring up her inventory once more and her body started to glow in change of form. Basking in that light, her figure turned from panties and tank top to thick black turtleneck shirt and a pair of casual pants and boots. The Blood Oath armor she would usually wear was not needed as it was a day off of course and since she was not out hunting mobs, and this was only a casual visit to a person's shop...there was no need to be authoritative or to wear the colors. Although, she did have the symbol of the Blood Oath neatly collared around her neck in the form of a necklace.

Lifting her booted feet while still holding tenderly to her cigarette, the woman placed it in her mouth and made sure she had everything on her before walking out the bedroom. Taking light steps down the stairs and out of the inn she had landed in the snow. Giving a quick look around her and memorizing the directions she was given, she moved towards the direction with her arms wrapped around her body as she moved in the direction to the shop. Expelling a long, thick stream of orange smoke from ruby lips, the woman stopped a good three feet from the shop she was supposed to meet this guy at. Straightening her hair and taking one more drag from the citrus delight stick, she flicked it away from her body as it crashed into pixels and allowed the smoky orange scent to consume her body as she pushed forward to the shop and a twist of the knob of the door.

A ringing bell overhead alerted any person's inside. She looked up to see the small bell above and nodded to herself finding a roaring cozy fire lit within the confines of the shop along with a tea set close to quaint area of the shop where a red haired gentleman seemed to be at. The scent of her citrus cigarette still hung in the air around her as she waved a hand in front of her taking in the pleasant scent of the tea that was coming from the freshly brewed contents in the direction of the lit fire. Taking a deep breath and slowly exhaling through ruby red lips, the woman walked towards him and introduced herself.

"Hello, I'm Opal. You must be Emerath..." clearly hesitant at first, the woman put forth her hand to shake his own. Dark ebony hair flowed in front of one of her eyes as she had normally styled it, but it didn't obstruct her vision to see that she was in the presence of another Alchemist, she smiled as she saw the room was littered with his work.
