Now Sey needed to get that one edible that would allow Dagger the same chance of obtaining unique weapons and armors. It was simple, he wanted to get as many of those unique items as he could so that he could obtain more builds. It wasn’t selfless, he just wanted more strength so that his damage output could be hellish. There was no way he would get two of the same enhancements on a weapon, but there was a chance of being able to quickly change weapons so that he could change tactics. It would be a smaller investment, but it was one that had a much bigger payout in the end, and it was one he would gladly take. Now it was just time to get that edible to bring over, it would cover eight of the identifications, something had to come from them if probabilities suggested something. Only time can tell.

And then an ambush, a bunch of the monkeys soon flew over to him for their strike, and all Sey did was stay passive as he watched all of them build their demise. Not a single one of them will be surviving much longer, but he just needed to wait before he cut their meaningless lives to an end. They would all be sold for a pocket change amount of col if given the chance, but the consumable was much more valuable than their lives could be worth. And so he watched their attempts, not looking to evade since his stats didn't exactly help him in that front, it was just an incomplete build as of currently. But when he had that figured out, he will make sure to commit to the high damage that he inflicts. What that damage will be, he had zero idea. A fallen or holy build sounds nice, but what if he wanted a damage over time one?

As they flew and took petty shots at him, he could feel a new energy coursing through his body. A violent one, one that manipulated his body in turn, and that was the momentum effect that he had yet to try out. It was a good skill for keeping enemies out of the way, if they wanted to oppose him, and now he just needed to demonstrate. As a bonus, because he missed the first time, there was no way in hell he would miss a second time. Keen, Momentum, it was just working in his favor, patience was very well worth it. Bracing his kicking leg against the ground, he would swiftly kick his body out towards the side with a swift level of speed so that he could send some enemies flying quite a distance. Three of them had their health bars threatened and one of them went extinct. No fear seemed to be inflicted from that, however. A Pity.

Take into the account that he could heal his body back into full health without a problem and you'll find that he didn't have much to fear. They were merely giving him pokes and Sey would give them harsh kicks in return, every single one of them in his sights as he did so in order to prevent himself from losing a chance at causing their bodies to shatter into nothing but bits of data. It was a fun round, but he needed to venture deeper and nothing that was even close to loot-worthy would appear for him to play with. And with that, he would place his hands in his pockets and step further into the forest to look for the next enemy. Because he was taking this quest again, his final boss was one that could be taken down within one shot and he could call it a day right after. But maybe grinding loot wouldn't be such a bad idea while he was so high up.

A simple walk through the forest with little to worry about or care about, it was sort of relaxing. There was a hope of an attack to come through at any time, but it was reasonable since the end goal of this was just to increase his build further, and he knew exactly who to go to help with that. It just required this trip, and it was one he might have to make pretty often if he wanted to get more unique skills, or maybe he could just be lucky to fight a floor boss monster. At the end of the day, however, he wouldn't be so lucky if the other players were selfish like he was, stalling for that last bit of damage and holding out for the best. Sey was not innocent of this, but it was annoying that others had that competition, it made him do this to help keep him sharp.

Another attack! This time, it came from the likes of a bigger monkey that tried to inflict damage. Predictable movements and expected spawn points didn’t help the creature in the slightest, so much so that the player would simply step to the side to avoid any impact from happen. His palms were proudly inside of his pockets and he eyed the enemy, who scrambled up into the air again before trying to leap out at Sey yet again. No such luck, a couple steps back and the attack was avoided. A slash, another slice, more dodges to kiss each of the winds that were left from all the dust being bitten, no player was going to be left in the dust today it seemed. And it seems that this little charade would feed into the next part of Sey’s attack, there was no way he was missing when he approached.

His eyes would glow yet again, the momentum and thrill running through his blood and his eyes sharpening upon not reacting during the first moment. A smile would lapse on his lips as he did this, his numbers boosting. Ah, a sweet release from the game's restraints, even if just for a moment. Now that he could react, he would turn over to the monkey, who flew up yet again before trying to make a reckless swing. That was a miserable attempt, for the monkey would soon find itself biting the dust, Sey grabbing the monkey by the face before flipping them both towards the ground, the head of the enemy making the collision. It was then finished off with a press of the fist against the head, and soon the screeching of the monkey would soon perish into nothing but pieces of data. Sey felt nothing, it was just an NPC at the end of the day.

Ah, there it was, bleeding out from the lifeless NPC that threatened his life a moment ago. A consumable for the merchant to enjoy while he did his work, now to turn in the uniques. But before given the chance, a stranger with a green crystal decided to make his presence known. The hiding skill must be stronger than Sey’s detection, but the stranger finally made himself known. They looked to be around the same age, same stance, even identical faces. Nothing suggested an attack as of currently, but that could change in a heartbeat. And in that same heartbeat, the other player spoke to Sey first. “You have some uniques on you?” He asked, though it sounded more rhetorical rather than genuinely curious. Sey tilted his head to the side, not so interested in coughing up any of his treasures. They’ll go over his dead body, his build wasn’t quite complete though.

"Why do you care?" Sey asked suspiciously, his eyes half-closed and his hands in his pockets. The boy in front of him just chuckled in turn, cocky. But no ambush of any sort, and sensory abilities were not a thing either. Fortunately, his paranoia seemed unjust for the moment, it was just some stray player. Perhaps not so stray since one decided to hide, so that provided potential for either a player with a high level utility, or perhaps it was a hint that one could have assassinated him for high damage. “No no, I’m not here for your items, I have plenty of my own. But I do wonder why you are aiming for that consumable, don’t you just get one unique per item?” And with that, Sey shrugged his shoulders. Whatever this boy was on didn’t make sense to the player. It seems like there was some knowledge he missed?

"What are you on about, and why do you care?" Sey asked, his arms raised as he prepared for a fight. His eyes attempted to scan, only for nothing to show up in the attempt, for the words that he would obtain could vary. Level 50 - 88, meaning that this player in front of him was able to manipulate his own settings however he pleased with his level. The same for an enemy of an extremely high level, they could make their levels too hard to distinguish when they are just that much higher than his. The player with black hair frowned in response, his arms crossed. Was this the gemini playing tricks? This just seemed too similar to what Sey would do, but the boy was patient and continue to explain. "What if I told you that there was a better way to inflict more damage coming through than constantly grinding the game for items that won't be exactly how you want them? Maybe that will interest you more?"

There was still doubt and tension from Sey, mainly because this was how he would speak to someone before luring them into a trap. None of them were deadly, but these two were not peas in a pod, there was no way to tell if the other wanted to have his best interests in mind. "And why the bloody hell would I believe you?" Sey replied, Kyu soon popping out from the inner flap of his jacket and up onto his shoulder. She was just as tense, the both of them worked together quite nicely despite the prissy nature of the familiar. The other boy seemed to have none? Either that or it was hidden. "What other choice do you have? With all of the other frontliners with their own last hit rewards, you think you're going to get a last hit yourself? I doubt such luck could ever exist. Or maybe you are content with slot weapons with no chance of getting two uniques onto a weapon, let's not even talk about three. Four doesn't exist like a last hit item would anyways."

Well, that was checkmate. The illusion of safety behind the merchant system in the game could only hold up for so long. And it somewhat did line up with what this boy had to say, since apparently he hung around the area to tell others who thought like Sey this information? "And how much are you charging for this information, broker?" Information brokers existed, that was just a fact of life. Was any valuable data free? There was nothing that could be said for free, Sey knew that well enough. The boy simply shook his head in turn. "I'm content, let's just say you'll owe me one." What a good offer, a debt above the player's head that didn't make him responsible for anything. Fortunately, that was all Sey needed to be content, since nothing was contractual and there was plenty of warrant to break it once he obtained whatever this "New power" is. So the tension began to die down and he shook his head, agreeing to listen.

"Unique skills, though their origin isn't currently available in the game, it is expected that there might be a second wave of them. But I am assuming you aren't so interested in those, right? After all, you would have one if you were so into uniques." Words that sounded taunting, but it would be best to keep calm. So Sey merely tilted his head to the side so that the other player could continue speaking. They'll determine whether or not a mocking tone was going to end with a massive fist to the face or not, Sey didn't care for the level of someone so arrogant so long as he has a good chance at threatening their health. "But let's pretend you didn't know for some reason. Well there are a couple players who still have them and won't let them go, you will notice that they could be quite good at healing, maybe too good at tanking, and for you... Damage that skyrockets beyond anything they should be able to do."

"And this is some skill that you claim it to be? Okay then, what, does it just boost the damage stat or something?" Sey replied, completely ignoring the fact that there was a healing and tanking potential in them. At least if this guy was anything to go by. And even then, their origins are unknown, meaning they were unable to be obtained as of this very moment. Why would another player even let him know that? But there was no time to be asking such questions, for the boy would then continue with a confident smile on his lips. "Or something. And if you remember the name of the game, this is Sword Art Online. Sword Arts, maybe you haven't paid attention, but there are more to the game than just the normal arts that normal players possess. Imagine them to be... Enhancers. And these enhancers allow player to go beyond what is normally done. Mix that with a normal fallen or holy weapon and floor bosses drop last hits for them every... Single... Time."

"Let me pretend that you have somewhat of a point, you said that the origins are unknown. So why should I care now?" Sey replied, crossing his arms. Kyu growled as this went on, she hasn't bitten anything or anyone in so long and this boy in front of her seemed like he had some nice bones to take a chomp into. But Sey held her back with a palm held up, the feisty familiar only glaring in order to make up for the lack of action that she could take. Such a stare phased no one in turn, unfortunately, bringing them into this scenario instead. "Wow, left in the dark indeed. Do you think there would not be any more of those lying around when the game finds a way to balance them? Would not a boost help your sorry butt? As if I could care at this point about what you want, but if you want to desperately continue flailing about with the hopes of getting three uniques on an item, ignore my words. But then you are a man to remain doing pity damage under the illusion that it matters~."

"Are you always this insufferable? You are two seconds away from receiving quite a heavy fist to the face." And it would be a rare moment for Sey to lose his cool, his icy words designed to chill those who spoke to him, but this one here was just pressing all sorts of wrong buttons. It was difficult to fight an equal, but this one had the illusion of being stronger. And that was enough for Sey to step back and spit harsher words. The boy didn't seem to care, since he said his piece. "This beautiful face? I'll have to pass. But heed my words if you wish to do a lot more damage. And by the look of things, if I were you, I would be begging for more information. Even if such a thing didn't exist. I'll leave you be to fetch your own useless one-slotted uniques, come back here if you want to know." And with that, even Sey's eyes couldn't track the mysterious boy. Seems like he was truly that high up on the level charts, escaping without a trace.

And so now Sey was left with his consumable with the thought to linger in his mind. There were people who had these "Unique skills"? If so, he was going to have to go on a heavy hunt to see what these skills are and how he could obtain them. If this was even true, Sey was going to have to ask someone with the experience and won't spread a stupid rumor around if he was having his strings pulled. And there were so few people that he could consider since this might be a secret. All he could do was wait for the game to release them if they ever did, then it was going to be a massive manhunt. Sey was selfish and wanted whatever was prepared for someone with his weapon type. All these thoughts, were they supposed to be planted into him to lure him into a trap? The only trap he could imagine was coming back to an ambush, but no time was given, nor was there any real incentive to get him if he lacked such information.

It only just clicked in his head that Sey didn’t try to get the name of the one he just spoke to for reference. It seems like he would have to come back here. Did a player have all that free time to be stalking anyone who comes here to try and get some consumables? It made sense since he seemed rather annoying, even for someone who was usually the annoying one of the two in a conversation with sarcastic quips whenever they were demanded. Someone who was able to find the wrong buttons to press will cripple anyone of any intellect when it comes to a conversation. Whatever, his name probably is something that didn’t matter anyways since Sey had doubts of the unique skills being a thing. But a part of him wanted to believe that they did, something to boost his own damage would be the best for him.

Whatever, the thought could go away for now. Sey had a meeting with Dagger now that he had a consumable to work with. If something Holy or Fallen came out of the weapons, he’ll settle for that. He did not know what he wanted from the armors, but there were so few of those anyways, so it wasn’t like he was expecting much from those. Especially when his current one possessed the ability to double his battle healing every now and then, something critical for Sey to enjoy. Now with that out of the way, he would then proceed to walk out of the forest with Kyu being his second pair of eyes to watch out for that one other player. And so, the both would travel backwards, successfully finishing off the mission. It was time to go home, or what was soon to be just a mere inn. An order had to be made.

Time to get the uniques. He would eventually arrive back to the safe zone before going through the gate. It wouldn’t be long before he got himself something that might allow him a chance to inflict more damage. Maybe he might be surprised and aim for a DoT sort of build, though that would be painfully long for him to build. Decisions decisions, but he did know this much, the fact that there was a huge chance of him obtaining at least something. And whatever could boost his damage would be something that brought him that much closer to a last hit item. A last hit item would be all he needs to fulfill the games current tier, maybe the whole set if he’s lucky. But all in due time, he just needed to take the game one step at a time and visit Dagger for his new items. What a day.
