He was the school clown, always doing crazy things and standing out in the crowd. He didn’t really have much friends, maybe a few which went away after a while. But he didn’t seem to mind it at all, smiling even if he thought that was a really lame life. But the day he met a girl named Aka, everything had changed. He met his first real friend. She was a small framed girl with auburn hair, turquoise eyes and a face that wasn’t easy to read. Unlike him, she was a very popular student at their school. It started out as simple talk, but gradually they had gotten closer. They started holding their own playdates. One of their favorite things to do together was roleplaying. She was the princess and he was the knight in shining armor. They would even make their own self proclaimed kingdom, which was really just Aka’s backyard. Ayato valued every single moment they had spent together, having some sort of feeling that she would leave him. But she didn’t. She sticked beside him, despite how embarrassing he’d act in public… all the shouting and running around. â€So… this is friendship? It’s such a wonderful feeling. It must be amazing to have so many friends!†Ayato would wonder.When Ayato had turned thirteen, he was supposed to spend his day with his family and Aka, but no matter how many times he had called her, she didn’t pick up. â€What happened?†he’d question in bewilderment. He decided to move along and celebrate with his family, but he couldn’t stop thinking of how weird it was. But he assumed that it was just others reasons why she wouldn’t pick up. â€Maybe I should ask if she’s okay… tomorrow.†But she wasn’t at school. For a while even. A week or so later, she had called him saying these two words quickly: â€I’m moving.†and after that she had hung up on him. Ayato sighed, as he looked down at the ground. â€That’s right. This is a part of life. Things like this… always happen. I don’t know if I can ever make another real friend.â€Â«Present Time» The years all passed by, and Ayato had grown into a tall young boy, who had still been the very same till this day. He had a few “friendsâ€, and had been living an average life like any other student. He wondered how his old friend was doing, and how many more friends she had gained all these years. He had a feeling that he was replaced by some popular kid, but there wasn’t anything he could do about it. â€No sugar and sprinkles…†he’d whisper. He did this all the time when things seemed down for him. Recently, he had been getting outstanding grades for his parents, snatching all those gold and silver honor rolls. He hadn’t even noticed this however, and why on earth he even studied so hard. It was simply his way of killing time and focusing on something else. But unexpectedly, Ayato had been gifted a huge brown package. He raised a brow and opened it up, his jaw dropping when he read the price tag and scanned the front cover. â€D-Dad? M-Mom? This is costly… why did you spend so much on me?†they both replied with a simple smile. â€Because you’ve made us proud.†â€Oh?†he thought as he quickly unboxed the game and stared at the manual. â€Th… that’s some neat technology.†Ayato bolted up the stairs and into his room, plopping down on his bed as he set the system up. The plugins, the monitor… the NERVEGEAR. He lay down and stare up at the ceiling with a sigh, before wearing the strange headset and clicking the on button. â€Here it goes I guess.†â€Link start!†with those words, he found himself running into troubles hands, in a world so fascinating… yet so cruel at the very same time. His adventure had yet to begin. Would he make it till the very end?«Appearance»• Ayato has chestnut brown hair hued slightly with a touch of honey/mahogany. It is always wild and spiky as a usual hairstyle. He has bright brown eyes with a tint of auburn. • Ayato has a lean and tall figure, standing at the average height of a seventeen year old. He has the slightest hint of a build, which is slightly noticeable. • Ayato wears a simple black coat and a grey shirt, followed by black jeans and heavy duty boots. On his hands are fingerless black leather grip gloves. • He is always seen with a smile of any sort on his face. He has a friendly attitude and caring attitude, but can also be dead serious when the time calls. He is always observing his surroundings no matter what the situation may be. • He has a smooth and friendly voice, not too deep and not too high. Just... in between. He may tend to shout a lot at times, especially when he's in combat. «Virtues» Kind- Ayato has a heart of gold, and an empathic nature He's always concerned about how others are doing, and tends to make other’s burdens his own at times. He’s the type to go out of his way to help a complete stranger, or console a crying child who lost their parents. He doesn’t like to be seen as an overemotional worrywart, so he tends to play the cool act by showing an outward exterior of a typical arrogant young man. ★Lively- Ayato is the type who adds life to a dull or awkward situation. He is always smiling and encouraging positive attitudes, and at times he’ll even make a fool of himself to cheer others up. He’ll always crack puns on the spot and make witty and comical remarks, being a generally fun person to be around, a wide grin always on his face no matter what. He smiles to make himself even happier, although he may not always be smiling on the inside. ★Determined- No matter what it may be, Ayato won’t give up… even if it killed him. He would move on in achieving his goal. Once the young man has his priorities set, there is no way he’ll back down or simply “give upâ€. Laziness and defeat are simply not in his vocabulary. Father had always told him that life reaped you what you sewed, and every minute of your life did count. Those words had actually been inspiration to this day, and now he’ll never leave any sort of goal hanging off a cliff. He’ll simply… get it done! Because that’s what successful people do. ★Observant- Ayato's eyes are constantly studying the behavior of living things around him. The way people laugh and talk, the way they react to situations... how to animals communicate. Everything about society. It's a trait of his that never dies down. His eyes are wide open with curiosity. This however is a good trait mainly because his eyes are constantly scanning for any sight of nearby dangers and such. It's always best... to keep your eyes wide open. ★Quick- Ayato is quick on his feet, and always on the move. Back in the real world, he was used to running miles in the track team, which he been doing since elementary, building up the endurance needed. In the virtual world, he is now swift on his feet, able to dodge attacks swiftly IF he is able to notice them coming in his direction. It's not god speed... but fast. In this game, swiftness is one of his main useful traits. «Flaws» ★Stubborn- Ayato is one who despises authority and being controlled with a burning passion. If he happens to dislikes what is being said,, he'll go against it despite the consequences that might occur, having a mind of his own logic. He believes that everyone has their own free will, and so he'll tend to boldly rebel and do whatever he might feel like doing at the moment. This makes him a generally hard person to cooperate with, and a very frustrating comrade. Ayato tends to get into many sticky situations with his hot headed attitude, constantly clashing heads with others and starting up quite a noisy cacophony. ★Erratic- Ayato is one of the most erratic people you’ll ever meet in your whole life. One moment he’ll be quietly minding his own business, and the very next moment he’s off causing some sort of cacophony… be it combat or quarrels, you name it! This could be a bad thing, since this could only mean he has a very poor attention span. He tends to focus on other things while in conversation, making this a generally bothersome flaw of his. ★Overprotective- Once Ayato establishes any sort of bond with someone, he cares for their wellbeing. However, he just might care too much. He will go to the extents of ratting them off about common sense. He is the most protective of his friend Akari, and he tends to become possessive at times. But in all honesty he is just a mere worrywart who cares a lot for his companions. ★Irritable- Ayato is a boy who tends to get angered rather easily. When angered, he gets aggressive or snappy, his impulsive nature showing. At these points he tends to become violent and foul mouthed. He would almost appear like an entirely different person... the bipolar opposite of cheerful, kind, and sweet. This is a flaw he hates about himself, and he gets insecurities because of this. ★Easily Stressed- When Ayato is given tasks or certain goals, he begins to stress out and flip a cow over it all. He begins to worry and plan out a huge winded plan on how he will accomplish something, when in the end he was making a huge ordeal over nothing at all. However due to this SAO plotline it was slightly reduced. • He was originally planned to have black hair and blue eyes, but due to the lack of faceclaims, the creator decided to stick with “Fubuke†from Hyouka. • Ayato’s name was derived from the name “Hayatoâ€. • He has a passion for music and was originally planned to be a performer, but due to the profession lacking importance, he will be an alchemist. »GALLERY« Quote Report Link to post Share on other sites
