    About: History/personality:

Shawn always had trouble with reality. Though surrounded by a loving family, he just never felt at ease. Even at school or work, he was usually the odd man out. Whenever a confronted by a family or social event, he would always escape into his games. The only exception to this was his close circle of friends.

Slow to trust, making friends was extremely difficult for him growing up. Only through the kindness and virtue of his friend Alexander, was he able to leave his reclusive ways. Alexander introduced him to several like minded people who found that the digital world is much easier to deal with than the real one.

When word of the new VRMMO Sword Art Online reached Shawn and his group, they jumped at the chance to be able to escape reality in a whole new way. Little did they know that wish would be granted in the worst possible way.

 

  >Virtues:

Loyal: Friends are hard to come by, and even harder to keep. When Shawn makes a friend, he sees them as family and treats them as such. When push comes to shove, he will always be there for them. He refuses to lose those that he has befriended, and will fight to the death to keep them alive.

 

Careful: He may be slower to respond, but he always knows the right thing to say at the right time. He will listen for hours on end to someone just so he can understand everything before he gives them advice. His father being a psychiatrist, this comes to him naturally.

 

Respectful:The old proverb "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," has not been lost on Shawn. He will always show respect where respect is due. He'll hold his tongue, and true feelings to a person to not be disrespectful. His patience has been known to wear thin, from time to time.

 

 >Flaws:

Stubborn: Having been raised on a farm in the early years of his life, he learned to be more bull headed than the mules that he raised. He refused to back down from any challenge simply for the fact that he couldn't bear the shame of failing. When it came to learning new things, he had to figure them out for himself. If anyone tried to do things for him, Shawn would get angry and insist he did it himself no matter how long it took or how grueling the task.

 

Withdrawn:  He has difficulty in social situations, preferring to stay quiet and observe from the sidelines. Only a select few can bring him out of his bubble of solitude. Those few are respected, and are considered friends. Being a friend doesn't mean he'll confess everything however. Only to his closest friends will he speak up and tell them what's really on his mind.

 

Temperamental: Life was rough for Shawn. As he was growing up, he was the target of much ridicule and spite, simply for being quiet and socially awkward. Instead of lashing out he would bottle his anger. After many years of this he finally had enough. He finally started to retaliate and defend himself. Since then that anger has remained an ever present tool to fuel his ambitions. Though sometimes the anger can get out of control.
