Alinta remained resolute, a soft exhale of steam amidst the cold of the field around them, a brief wonder - if they’d be able to even handle it if not for the survival skill, if not for the warmth his body produced. Like a fire, a hearth, calling to the woman. And it was becoming harder and harder for Alinta to resist collapsing into his arms. Alinta watched as his expression hardened, his eyes left her gaze for a moment before he shifted them back to her- it was then she noticed just how tired he was. The bags beneath them…how bloodshot and puffy they were. As he talked, saying he

Alinta listened quietly as Scar talked, she could hear the hesitation in his voice, the regret. How he had been hurt by one of the roses, and in his panic he was trying to protect Alinta from them. It seemed so…scary, to know people could do that, more so that Alice had a green marker…still had one even in Tolbana, and yet she had hurt Scar? How was that possible? Were people circumventing the system? That was scary. The man in the mask even more so. “I…don’t understand though…” Alinta said quietly. Her hands ran up and down his arms in an effort to soothe him. “If she hurt y

"Can you come with me really quick?" There was a hesitation, till he added ‘please’ and Alinta felt if she didn’t follow him now, she may never see him again. So she gave him a small nod, and allowed him to take her hand in his. They walked in silence, feet crunching in the snow. Alinta kept her head downturned. Watching the snow crack and break beneath the weight of their steps and she couldn’t help but feel like it reminded her of…how she felt right now. Crumbling beneath the weight of a harsh reality, that not everything in this digital world was easy. Especially relationships. Somethi

It hurt. It hurt because this felt final. More final than the moments he had asked her to leave that small little room in the inn. More final than when she saw him be whisked away with another woman in his arms. She knew she should move, but Alinta couldn’t. She stood there, shaking in the snow. Nose red from the cold, from the tears that trickled down her face, silent salty trails of pain that couldn’t be kept within her trembling frame. Scar --> Alinta: Wait! There's no trap! Her vision blurred as more tears filled her eyes. Oh how she wanted to take those few steps,

2 Weeks Ago He had messaged her…Alinta received the message during one of her walks around the Town of Beginnings. He wanted to see her…there was a pang of yearning in her heart at that - it had only been a few days since she fell asleep next to him after whatever he experienced in the forest. Nursed him back to health…only to wake up to find herself cuddled up against him in bed. She wasn’t sure how she got there, but guessed she had crawled in next to him at some point. Alinta longed to stay there, soaking up his warmth. The beat of his heart against her fingertips - but he had asked he

Spyglass In Effect 5/10 Posts ------------------------------ Alinta stopped in her tracks...this thing....could play back short recordings? This...just got better and better! She feverishly opened up her HUD to message Scar again. This was just too exciting not to share. Alinta-->Scar: Omg! I found a cute puppet. Alinta--> Scar: I think it can mimic speech! It copied me, If it still does that when I tame it I can send you secret messages from room to room! Alinta--> Scar: I can tell it cute things like I love you! And it'll run over to you and

Aly... Alinta snorted at the nickname - when was the last time...ah... Her eyes shifted back up toward @Oscar he was the last one to call her that. And she had chastised him for it, jokingly. "Only friends get to call me Ali..." Alinta said softly. Repeating the words as though they were from a long forgotten memory. Her hand found its way into Scars as he helped Ceres....or Cinnamon, or whomever she was called up. A head rested on his shoulder. "So he can call me Ali." Wavering confidence returning as the distraction proved to lighten the atmosphere between the two. "But you'd have to ca

The kiss was different to the others they shared, it was as though she could feel everything beyond it. A desperation, determination - the way his hands wrapped tighter around her waist, one travelling up her back and the other possessively gripping her chin. The kind of craving that wasn’t just primal. Breaking away only to catch a single breath before diving in again. A turn - and he had flipped her against the wall. Pinning her. Stepping in closer still. She could feel a rumble in his chest and there were several more breathless moments till he finally pulled away. Alinta felt…o

The man curled up against her, and the warmth from the sun was long gone and replaced with the chill of night. Alinta wondered if she should have cozied up under the covers with Scar. That…would have been nice, but the two hadn’t quite gotten to that point in their relationship yet. The woman wasn’t even sure if they were still supposed to be together. She wasn’t sure how long he had sat there, silent. She thought he had fallen asleep, and had gone to carefully move, but it was then that he spoke, voice muffled as it broke the wavering silence between them. "Raven..Don’t…don't say sorry."

His breath hitched, and Alinta felt the flutter of his lashes against her skin. She pulled away, softly - carefully and replaced her lips with a thumb, wiping remnants of the antidote away from his mouth. Would it work? Could he move again? He seemed to be able to talk more now at the very least. If he wanted her to leave, she would - at least Alinta was able to taste him one last time, even if it were tainted by the bitterness of antidote. “You’re okay…” She whispered, and Alinta wasn’t sure who she was trying to tell that to. “You’re okay…” repeating the mantra as she pressed her forehead ag

Antidote acquired an hour ago. Turns out a store next door had one, apparently it wasn’t one of the most potent ones; but it would do its job. Alinta rolled it around in her hands, standing before the door to Scars room. No, she supposed it was to Jacks room. How long had she been standing there? How long had she sat in that dark alleyway and cried? Alinta wasn’t good with this sort of thing. Terrible at it really. She didn’t like facing the reality of things, it's why she spent so much time at home, so much time playing video games. Its why she didn’t reach out to many people, and that t

“You almost lost me?” Alinta shook her head. “You… You were the one being hurt. Hurt by my weapon. Jack.” She snapped. Alinta stood at the door. “I…” Alinta turned away from him. Drawing a long deep breath. It was clear that he was still struggling, barely able to lift his arms. She contemplated leaving then and there, but that would be selfish. Instead Alinta padded quietly across the floor, back toward Scar, barely letting their eyes meet. Too afraid that if they did, she would crumble. Instead, Alinta focused on pushing the bedside table closer, within his reach. Another cup of green t

Alinta gave a small exhale. Relieved he was able to drink. “That’s it…” she reached out to run a hand through his head. “Nice and slow. Y-you’ve been through a lot.” Alinta didn’t know what he had been through. Or why those strange people knew his name. Why they were screaming, stark raving mad… and why he had invited her to that clearing in the first place. Did he get tricked? Scar was so level headed and cautious, he didn’t seem like the type of person who would be easily swayed. Once Scar had emptied his cup Alinta carefully took it, leaning over to the side table and placin

Alinta watched as he tried to lift his arm, fingers twitching and failing. “Don’t try to move too much yet.” A whispered plea as she began to run her perfectly manicured fingers through his hair, nails scraping lightly against his scalp, soothing and slow motions. "Alinta.." He swallowed, his voice sounding dry, raspy. “I’m here. I-O-Oh! Uh…H-Hang on….” Alinta opened her inventory, and pulled out a small thermos of green tea; it wasn’t much, a dingy brown looking thing, and the lid, a cup - a faded red. “This was…” She looked down at it, fingers dancing across its warm surf

Her head shot up hearing his feeble voice, the faint vibrato was all it took to have Alinta straight to his side. Shaking hands clasped tight over his outstretched one as she shuffled forward toward the bed on her knees. “Oh Scar…” She whispered, a deep shuddered whisper, a release she so sorely needed. The woman didn’t realize just how much this would affect her. “I’m so sorry..” A whisper as she pressed her head into his shoulder, leaning over him in the bed. “You told me you’d leave scars on my heart but I let them all over you… I wanted to show you what I bought but…n-not like this.”

The two landed in a messy heap, with Alinta sprawled on top of Scar. Her weapon safely put away, the binds of her string no longer digging into his flesh, but his health had still trickled down, almost a quarter gone - her own, not much better. She groaned as she picked herself up. Her arm still hurts. “H-Help!” Her cries frantic, echoed loud and shrill above the hustle and bustle of the city center. “P-Please…someone!?” The few players that had seen her shuffled away. “Hello Don’t just-” Her head whipped back and forth, desperate, erratic. Wanting to gain someones attention. But no one seemed

Scar struggled… and it was against her own weapon ... .Alinta panicked as she pulled and tugged on the wires, trying to free him. But it only seemed to do more damage than good, they cut into his skin, static causing his flesh to twitch beneath it. “N-Not like this…” Alinta whimpered, she had wanted to show off her fancy new weapon to him…to show him she could and would be capable. But this… this was terrible. Was the system registering it as an attack? It was an accident! She was tripped! The strings were pulled around them, not by her, but by some kind of puppeteer who seemed to take pride i
