  1. Any suggestion for a free MMO where a player doesn't spend ten minutes moving twenty feet, because the server's overpopulated and Count Lagula isn't the most powerful boss in the whole game?

I enjoyed Perfect World Online *SO* damn much, but the buggy interface - and lag - really made gameplay a little difficult. I did enjoy the manual movement and jumping, though, and it was funny going around, seeing people being carried in each other's arms lol

  2. As a new player, you are already given a basic weapon of your choice. Throughout your adventures, you will get more weapons and skills/ items for your character.

What if your ideal weapon isn't covered? Do you HAVE to pick something that's more or less cookie-cutter?

  3. After I received your application, I inquired with the GM's and most felt we have a decent number of GM's right now. But we'll hold onto your application and keep it under consideration if an opening becomes available.

Will GMs have any special IC abilities?

  4. Read the rest of the topic. A lot of this is explained in there already and my opinion is that if we add those options in then it could get out of hand with user life when we come out of the beta.

Are we hoping for player deaths, or just embracing that a number of people are going to lose their characters/accounts?

If new accounts will be mandatory for new characters, may I suggest Same-Email registrations? It'll be easier for staff and players to keep track of, in my honest opinion.

  5. I believe Death should be followed with the following options:

1.) Enter the Afterlife, and undergo a harrowing Quest to regain your Life.

2.) Restart Character at the Beginning (with 1/2 stats)

3.) Start a new character (complete reset)

And I think it should be doable under ONE account, so people don't have to keep making NEW accounts each time.

  6. I think it would be as simple as awarding XP for each Quest (I could make a Spreadsheet with a User-Friendly XP Award calculator for Staff), based upon it's Difficulty Rank (E->S), and setting up XP for levels as follows:

    Level 1: 0/10xp

    Level 2: 0/20xp

    Level 3: 0/30xp

    Level 4: 0/40xp

    Level 5: 0/50xp

    Level 6: 0/60xp

    Level 7: 0/70xp

    Level 8: 0/80xp

    Level 9:0/90xp

    Level 10: 0/100xp

The higher in level you get, the higher the requirements for gaining your next level, and it's corresponding stats. The XP you have to gain to go up to the next level is: (Current Level x10 = Required XP to next level), as shown above.

  7. I could design a Spreadsheet that automatically calculates stats based upon the Class the player has chosen, how many posts they have made as the character (which could be searched using an implanted "Keyword" exclusive to that character ranked through to S

So, let's say, upon joining, I distributed 5pts to Stat #1, 3pts to Stat #2 (and so on).... and I picked a Shadowblade (random class title).... well, my random stats would be added to my Class Stats to form my TOTAL Stats, and I would use them as a general marker for progress in the game. Additionally, my sheet (for Maximillion) would contain the "Number of _-Class Quests" for each Class, so that my Stats would be automatically updated as soon as I merely added an additional pt to the Class type I just completed.

Here is a visual sample of a spreadsheet I just put together... all Staff would have the spreadsheets, and posting the results would be as simple as taking a screenshot of each sheet (weekly/monthly/etc) for each character. (reducing the workload for staff, and the expediency of results for players).
