Epyon checked his HUD to see what was obtained.
He had 150 col and 'The Matriarchs Stinger'. He couldn't hide the ever so slight smile. He closed his menu and looked to the other two party members. "That was great! I think I'm ready for some more!" He had more than a taste for combat, it was the one time all felt right in the world to him. Despite this death game, he actually found himself enjoying things so far. "Where should we go next?"

The queen recovered quickly. Epyon aimed for a second strike, but the queen moved just out his reach. He swore under his simulated breath as he missed. 'She's faster than I thought.'

Hopefully Zahra would be able to finish the queen off before she had a chance to strike. Just in case she didn't, Epyon lined up his next strike.

Epyon sat on a bench in the city of beginnings and scrolled through his HUD. He called up the messenger feature and sent a message to Kiru:
How about that training Duel? Or other training?
After hitting send he leaned back and waited for a reply. They had talked about doing some intensive training before, and as he was sitting there it occurred to him that now was as good a time as any. After all, never turn down knowledge from someone more experienced than yourself.

Epyon surged out of the woods on the queen's left. His sword began to glow as he charged and struck with all the strength and speed he could muster.
5 DMG (Crit +2, +2 Weapon, +1 Skill)
Epyon's sword found it's mark in the queen's mid-section. He sliced cleanly through and prepared for the next attack.

Epyon responded. "They have a fairly large group here. We could split off and do something else." Epyon wasn't sure of the girl with white and black hair, but of those here, he seemed to have the most connection with. "I'm sure we could find something more exciting than all this chatter. Perhaps a good mob fight, or another floor."
-
Epyon nodded his approval. 'Finally a good fight!' He thought himself. His green eyes shined with anticipation. He checked the quest parameters and followed Celes and Zahra to where they would meet the bug queen.
-
Epyon pulled up his menu and sent a party request to both Celes and Zahra. He stood up from the grass and looks down at the two women. Celes was still sitting and Zahra was much shorter than him, but he was used to that. He offered a hand to Celes to help her up. He shifted his cloak over one shoulder, for ease of movement. "Don't worry, you're just in time." He said with a slight up turn of his mouth.
-
Epyon arrived to see Celes already there, sitting in the grass, a sandwich in hand. "It certainly is a good day to enjoy outside." Epyon sat down next to her, his cloak covering all but his head. He looked up at the sky, enjoying the simulated warmth the artificial sun gave. "As soon as Zahra gets here we can party up and accept the quest."
-
Another new comer entered the area, a young woman. It was getting crowded, more than the average party. He looked to the girl with two-toned hair. "How do you feel about this? The group gathered here I mean." Epyon wasn't a fan of large crowds, and this was turning into one. His expression showed agitation, not at anyone in particular.
-
Epyon smiled confidently. "Sounds like a plan." He turned to Zahra. "You up for it?" Epyon felt he was off to a good start. He headed out of the tavern, making sure the other two were with him before heading off in the direction of the quest. 'Today is going to be a good day.' He thought with a smirk.
-
"That's alright." He said to Zahra. "We all gotta start somewhere." To Celes, "I actually trained IRL with a katana, and not kendo, actual swordsmanship. As for tanking, I want to be strong enough to go it alone if I choose and being a tank seems the best way to do that." Epyon felt confidant. His first few encounters went well and he was ready for more of a challenge.
-
Epyon agreed with the girl. It would be best not to stray far from safety until they could gauge how they would fair on this floor. The group neared the city's exit. There was a short field surrounding the city, then forest. "as long as we can keep the clearing the city is in, in sight, we should be ok." Epyon said with his first steps out of the city.
-
"Another time. Even though you will surely win." Epyon took on the area, assessing the best way to head out of the town. His green eyes scanned before settling on a direction. He ran a hand through his white hair before taking a step in the direction of the nearest gate out of town. "shall we?" He asked the group.
-
"Epyon." He turned to the young woman. "So, what do you say? We are all bored, you especially, shall we go take our frustrations out on some poor mobs?" Epyon said with a slight smile. He enjoyed the the young woman with two toned hair's attitude, it made for interesting banter and she intrigued him. He was especially curious as to why she was here instead of several floors up. And more so, why was she involving herself with such lower level players?
-
Epyon shook his head."I think you misunderstood. Fighting, or even sparring with you would do well in my favor, however, going after some mobs I think would." Epyon looked to the new comer. "We were just trying to decide what to do. It seems we are all bored right now, and looking for some kind of action."
-
"giant bugs, eh? Sounds good to me." Epyon moved to allow the women to pass him, then feel in step begin them as they exited. "I see you use a spear like Celes. I guess that means I will be tanking for you two?" He spoke sure of himself, with confidence, as though that were his prefered position anyway. He pulled the cloak back I've his front, he felt it was a good idea not to let anyone else see what he had. Being un able to gauge his level and gear made him less of a target, those that might prey on them had to guess at their capabilities rather than see an easy target.
-
Epyon raised an eyebrow. "Epy?" He shook his head with a slight smile. "if it were anyone else..." He looked over the other player at the table. "Sure. Where do we start?" He said with a grin.
-
Epyon walked into the inn. It was getting colder by the minute outside. Such a strange concept, temperature in a virtual world. His green eyes scanned the crowd inside, mostly other low level players taking shelter from the cold. Then his eyes landed on a familiar face, Celes was here. Currently she was sitting with a young women. Her partner appeared lower level, like him. He approached the table where the two women sat. "Good to see you again Celes." He found it a little puzzling that she would be in this place, surely she could afford better accommodations. 'Didn't she own her own shop?' Perhaps she was here for another reason. HE shifted his cloak over his shoulders as to appear less threatening, and not seem as if he had anything to hide. Celes was a friend, and any friend of hers was no threat to him.
-
Epyon smirked at her behavior. "Well, as the more experienced player, perhaps you can lead the way to either a good place to eat, or fight. I am up for either, though I don't have much col." Epyon glanced around, trying to determine both the best way out of town, and where a decent place to eat might be located. He turned back to the pair beside him. "I'm also open to suggestions." She sure had a lot of attitude, in a good way. At least she was blunt and to the point, like him.
-
Epyon shook his hand and let it fall back under is cloak. As Tom spoke he noticed a strange looking woman approach. She had a strange look on her face. She glared with intensity. Her gear indicated a much higher level, and he guessed she was attempting to be intimidating, though they were in a safe zone, and she was obviously no player killed with the green icon over her head. Despite the reality that in the field she could easily kill him, he didn't show any fear. Being afraid or not was not an issue, it was what you did with that fear that mattered. "Is there something I can do for you miss...?" He left his words as an open question as to her name. Even with her glare, he had to admit she was quite attractive.
-
Epyon saw the returned look and decided to approach. The man sitting down appeared to be roughly the same level, give or take. "By your appearance I'd guess you're here for the same reason as I." Epyon reached a hand out from under his cloak in greeting. "My name is Epyon." Epyon looked him in the eye as he spoke.

Epyon noticed Tyrius's anxiousness and picked up his pace a bit. He could see the clearing ahead and could barely make out what looked like three pillars. He readied himself for a fight. If this place was all Tyrius had promised, he had a feeling he would be returning here frequently to train.
-
Epyon stepped out of the teleportation sphere as it closed. This was his first venture onto another floor. There was so much to see in this world, it would be a shame to only see the first floor. He looked around the crowd of people moving through the square. His height made it easy to see over the crowd, after all, most of the people here were teenagers. He noticed someone sitting on a bench nearby, with all the bustle, it was unusual to see someone just sitting.

A fellow newcomer! Maybe we can RP in a party later, not many people low leveled as us

Epyon smiled. IRL he lived in the desert, just outside death valley. 'Now that's what I'm talking about!' He thought to himself. He didn't even know that this world had deserts, though he suspected it probably had most climates. He showed his approval with a quick nod and sly smile. "You live near pyramids IRL? As in Egypt?" He directed his question towards Zahra. He knew it was generally looked down upon to ask about players real life, but this piqued his curiosity.
