Destiny

Destiny looked back into Draterions eyes when he looked at hers.  “Hmm.. A bit strange the little guy is.†She thought to herself.  Destiny shrugged off the idea. 

“Hmm.. Something that feels like home.. I highly doubt that they have Dim Sum here, or even Pho… So I guess soup or something that resembles mashed potatoes. They’re my favorite.† She ended with a smile.  “Ahhh… Mashed potatoes.† She thought to herself.  “How about you?  What do you feel like?†  She asked Draterion as they both walked.

“Heh snipers.† Diana thought to herself.  “Sure sure. Snipers.†She said as she patted her cousin.  “You can just reassure yourself of that.  You know, I have developed quite a throwing arm myself. “  She said as she flexed an arm and patted it; admiring her newly found strength.  “A few months is nothing, hhmph.†She argued as she crossed her arms.  â€œAnd as for your assistance, although it is appreciated… I can protect myself.  Thank you very much!† When Diana heard that Christoff mentioned performers she smiled  bit inside.  Though she was scared to say it, “Well… Actually… I was thinking of performing…†she mumbled. 

Destiny smiled at Christoff when he mentioned opening up gifts.  “Gifts… Hmm that Is something I ought to think about since this will be a holiday party.† She thought to herself.   Destiny stuck her tongue out at Christoff when he mentioned that he was the oldest of the cousin.  “That’s still not fair! You’re only a few months older than me.  That is nothing.† She argued back.  â€œAs for a place to set up for the party, Sousuke mentioned the fourth floor because apparently there is snow there? I have never been there personally myself, but I think it will add a bit of charm to the party.  You know, since it’s a holiday one and all.† She said to Christoff.

 â€œOH!†she exclaimed.  â€œAlso, I am planning on having a snowball fight because… Well why not.  You think you can still hit me?†She said as she nudged Christoff in the side. 

Destiny choked a bit when Christoff mentioned that he was there for Tomoya’s death.  She was persistent on attempting to not dapper the mood, and pushed that image out of her head.  Yet it still lurked in the background.  She suddenly felt Christoff’s hand on her head messing with her hair.  “Hey!†she exclaimed.  “We are the same age you know!† She said as she began swatting at his and in an attempt to move it away from her head before it messed up her hair.  Once the taunt ceased she fixed her hair as she listed to Chrisoff’s mention of aiding in the holiday party. 

Diana’s eyes lit up; and a giant foolish grin popped up on her face.  “You’d really help?!† Diana was feeling giddy like a little girl again, and started jumping up and down in anticipation for Christoff’s response.  "I might be acting like a child," she thought, "However, I AM SO EXCITED!!" 

Destiny  watched as Draterion used his sword as an extension of himself to point the direction.  â€œYou’re saying that bread isn’t food?† She smirked as she stated this, it was quite funny to her actually.  Destiny got up from her spot and onto her feet.  She stretched a bit and then proceeded to say, “Let’s get some food first, then we shall go out looking for trouble.† She said as she started on her way.  Destiny paused,  “Well are you coming?†she asked Draterion. 

“Sounds good!!† Destiny said back.  She was more than excited about this adventure that she was going on with her cousin.  "I hope you won't see me fumble terribly." she said nervously.  "Oh and the party; you know I will need your help with that right?" She said in a questioning tone.  Destiny really wanted to get people together to celebrate. It would be a happy moment; and a joyous occasion indeed. 

Destiny looked out the window. "My it is getting late." She stated. 

Destiny smiled at her cousin. "For sure! How about we meet up sometime tomorrow to battle some monsters and stuff? How does that sound?" She said.

She also added, "You know I can protect myself at times. However, I should really find some gear. I'm still using the starting weapon and all that stuff. I look like a huge noob." Destiny laughed at the idea if her being a noob. In most games she wasn't as so, but here. It was different.

Destiny suddenly remembered, "Wait, so is that a no go on the holiday party?" She asked her cousin.

"Uhh..." Destiny said to herself. She caught the bread but was rather taken back. "Thanks." She murmured softly. As she was finishing up her piece of bread she observed that Draterion stood up.

She then listened as he offered for her to train with him. "Uhh.. Sure? I guess." Destiny was not sure where this was all coming from. First she made an expression that caused a stranger to come over and conversate with her, and no that same stranger was now offering her to join his party. Nevertheless, Destiny accepted his invitation.

"Of course that is what I meant, silly!!"  She giggled at Sousuke. n Diana was more than overjoyed with the idea of having people together; especially with the grim events that occured in this world, it would be at least a glimpse of happiness among all the sadness.  "My gosh, what else could he possibly thought I was referring too?"  She thought. "Unless.... If you don't want to?"  Diana looked at Sousuke with sad eyes.  "I mean if you don't want to we don't have to." 

 â€œHmm?†Destiny sat there not entirely acknowledging the stranger, “What’s it to you?† she said in response to his question.  The last time someone just walked up to her she gave them the same response.  Destiny was rather cautious about strangers; however this time this stranger was invading her peace and quiet.  And sense she didn’t know this stranger, she wasn’t as welcoming as she had been to others. 

Destiny opened her eyes to see the stranger.  "Looks normal.." She thought to herself. "In all honesty, I have no idea who this person is, and I don't know why they have decided to come hither; regardless, I guess I shall question him." she thought.  "Would you like to sit and chat?" she said in a calm tone. 

“Oh..†Destiny said in hesitation.  â€œWell… I’ve actually never been on the fourth floor yet…†She said nervously.   In all honesty, Destiny really hadn’t traveled outside of the second floor.  She did want to go onto higher floors.  But she was rather scared, she had only successfully killed one monster out of five.  All the other four times she nearly died.  “Hmm.. Maybe we can go scope it out together?  I actually have no idea of how to get to the fourth floor anyways.† She stated smiling. “Is there really snow there?  OH! We could have a snowball fight!!â€

Destiny imaged all of them throwing snowballs at each other and how much fun it would be. 

Destiny sat the end of town, leaning against a tree enjoying her peace and quiet to herself.  It has been some time since she was alone to her thoughts.  Recently things had become overwhelming with discovering relatives in the game, and winning her first battle against a monster. “Ahh…Finally.† She thought to herself.  Destiny closed her eyes and made herself comfortable in her space against the tree. She could hear the sounds of the town, not too far by; the chattering of people, the clinks of items hit each other and sounds of doors opening and closing. She could also hear the wind gush by, the sleeves of grass brushing by and the water flowing.

Destiny also heard something else, which she wasn’t too sure about.  She sat in her spot, unmoving, attempting to listen closely to whatever was nearby. 

“Wait….You saw Tomoya…..Before….†Diana’s voice cut out as a lump in her throat began to form. She was fighting back her extremity of emotions. Diana clenched her fists and shook her head, “No.. no. Stop it and man up!†she thought to herself.

Diana attempted to compose herself, occupying her mind with Christoff’s other questions.  “Well…The only other person I have met that I know that we are related to is Sousuke.†She stated. “Unless if Sol is….. heh no, I doubt that highly.†Diana questioned herself with the idea of she being related to Sol.  “Could he be? I mean….No. No way.† She thought.  Diana smiled at Christoff, “Well, if I do find anyone I’ll let you know. And oh!  I am thinking of having a holiday party to get other’s together and possibly discover more family members, would you attend?†She asked Christoff. 

“Wooo!!!†Diana cheered.  “What’s gonna work? TEEAAM WORK!† She sang as she began frolicking around Sousuke.  Diana kept on repeating the same phrase over and over and she danced around and moved her arms in a wavy manner.

Then an idea jumped in her head that caused her to stop in her tracks.  She looked over at her cousin, Sousuke with an evil smile on her face.  There was a slight glint in her eye as she grinned at him.  Like a puma she jumped at her cousin, she caught hold of his shoulders and began shaking him as she was screaming, “OH MY GOD WE COULD HAVE A HOOOOLIIIIDAAAAAAAY PAAAARRTTYY!!!â€

Ever so curious; I have been looking through this thread.  Still taking applications?  For what positions?

“Awh, well at least someone knows that you are there.† She said in response to her cousin’s statement about his parents not knowing that he was there.  “And hey!  Dolls are still fun!  I mean…. My Sailor Moon collection is still vast.† She as she nudged her cousin and winked.  “As for life here.. It’s alright.  I have made a friend here, he is really nice. Also, I ran into another one of our cousins not too long ago.  Sousuke.† Diana choked at bit at what happened the last time she saw Sousuke.  It was honestly the first time that they saw each other here, and in years; but what he told her made her quiver inside.  “And well other than that I have just made a couple strange acquaintances.† She said with a great grin on her face.  “I’m pretty happy with all the people that I have met so far.  They are all really great.† She thought to herself.  “As for PKs… I haven’t had too much of an issue.  I hope that I won’t have too much of an issue with it later on though.  Or ever.† Diana said slightly cringing at the end. 

“OH!† Her eyes suddenly lit up and happiness flowed from her face.  â€œI killed my first monster too!â€

I propose that maybe as a community we come up with a more comprehensive quick guide; kind of a like "Bare Minimum that you need to know to do well."  guide.  I only propose this because this was my first time ever going a forum platform RPG type of thing. (Other than Gaia; however... Let's not talk about that.) I found that the site was rather confusing in the beginning; yes probably everyone did, but slightly due to my foreignness to this all I found it to be rather overwhelming in the beginning.  Thus, a more comprehensive quick guide. 

When I first started, I pretty much read the tutorial 2 times over.  I even printed it out, took notes and highlighted. [Yeah, I know a bit extreme but I didn't had all the time at home to read it all thoroughly and slowly.] Even then I found a few of the concepts still mind bottling.  I have only really made it this far thanks to a couple friends and their patience.

I am thinking that we should probably do a poll to see what shall be included in the guide, that if this proposal makes it that far.  But taking opinions of what to put on there by the newer users and the more experienced users would probably best to be able to cover all the ground.  

Also, (I am being a bit picky here) if there was some way to better organize important and concrete information; that would be lovely.  

For example, as of right now I am trying to find a GM to ask to close out my completed threads, however, I don't know who else to message other than the ones I had previously. I do remember stumbling upon a list somewhere a while back, regardless, it was in an ambiguous area and I can no longer find it.   

Lastly, maybe to make things easier on GM's and make the process more fluid.  Create a sort of entry way that one will be able to submit their completed thread to, and then that information will be sent to an external site in which all GM's would have access to.  There they would be able to remove the notices of the ones that they have closed and leave notes for the other GM's to see that one had notified the person that there was an issue.  I am personally not a programmer, however I know others; maybe this is possible?  This is just an idea I am throwing out there since I have a feeling that the GM's get slammed from time to time. 

I do hope that what I have proposed here makes some sense.

“Heyy!!†She said as Christoff made his way closer to her.  Diana was overjoyed.  She really wanted to hug her cousin tightly, but a bit apprehensive in doing so just because they hadn't really seen each other since they were little kids.  “Well.. It turns out that while you were gone; your cousin here became a pretty avid gamer.  You know, first person shooters, strategy, third person shooters and MMO RPG’s too. Sooo.† She said as she brought her hands together in-front of her face in a prayer position. “Turns out that my parents had bought me nerve gear as a gift; since I am living at college now, as a ‘we miss you gift.’ “  She pointed her hands at Christoff as she closed on eye.  “In response to your question about my parents freaking out, they probably are. Heh.  And well… They probably had to break down the door since I do live in the dormitory.†She smiled and put her hands to her face in a V shaped position below her chin. "What about you, Christoff? Do your parents know that you're here?"

“Hmm… How about we try and find a town on this floor.  I mean we did come here for an adventure after all. “  She said as she winked at him.  Destiny was pretty content.  She had killed her first monster, and she didn’t feel completely useless. Other than that, she felt that Sol and her made a great team, and even though they had plenty more floors to go; they had each other’s back every step of the way.

Destiny observed as Sol was missing again.  “Heyyy!! Sol!! Seems like you have obtained something!  OH! Its my bad luck!† She yelled from across the way.  Destiny giggled slightly at her taunt.  It was comforting to her that even Sol has his spurts of bad luck every now and then.

Destiny went in for her attack; and hit the Kobold.  “SUCCESS!†Destiny exclaimed as her enemy shattered.

Destiny was pulled away from the clouds in the sky by the noise of someone saying  â€œSorry†repeatedly. She looked over in the direction in which the noise was coming from and saw someone in the distance.  Destiny started squinting her eyes looking in the direction of the commotion.  “Wait.. No way.  It can’t be.† Destiny was absolute that she knew who this person was.  She stood up and started waving franticly to the person who was heading her way.  “It’s Christoff.  I can’t believe this.  This is insane!† She thought to herself.  Destiny stood there waving for a while, smiling like a fool, ecstatic to see another person that she knew.   â€œHEEEYY!!!† She called out as she continued to wave furiously 

Destiny was relaxing in the town square after all of the things that have been happening to her it was nice that she had some peace and quiet to herself.  Granted that it wasn't that quiet; it was just good for her to be at her thoughts.  Since meeting Sousuke, she had been pondering who else she might know from home that would be on here.  "What if mom decided to test it out?"  she thought to herself.  In a panic Destiny shot up from her seat.  Then she thought, "Oh no, mom wouldn't have any idea about how to even start up the game."  She started laughing to herself when she thought about how she attempted to teach her mom to play a first person shooter, and how terrible her mom was at it. 

Destiny sat back down in her seat, smiling.  She let out a little sigh as she put her hands behind her putting her weight on them as she leaned back and looked up at the sky.  "I wonder what this day will hold."  she said to herself.

Destiny went in for another attack after seeing that the Kobold missed.  Out of the corner of her eye she saw Sol fumble. Hard.  It made her giggle and as she laughed she closed her eyes.  Destiny ended up missing her attack and ran a bit past the Kobold.

The Kobold noticed that Destiny was close by and took advantage of the girls fickle manner.  The Kobold picked up its heavy weapon and started its attack upon Destiny.  Part way through one of the vines snapped and the Kobold dropped its weapon.

Destiny rubbed her back as best as she could and stretched backwards.  “Ahh…†she said softly relieving some of the pain.  â€œAlright!†she said happily; smiling and bringing a hand close to her chest.  She ran towards the Kobold; attacking the enemy with a swift slice.

The Kobold supremely angry lets out a large roar.  “RRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWRRHHHH† The ground shakes slightly and the leaves on the trees sway slightly.  The Kobold then takes its armed weapon and attempts a swing at Destiny.  However fails and misses.
