  1. "Ah!" Dante yelled, so that's what it was like getting hit. Oh well, it gave him even more of a rush. He looked over and noticed Aramail had gotten banged up a little more than he had. "You good man?" He inquired as he turned back to the target infront of him. He wasn't gonna' let him get off as easy this time. Dante raised his spear and with a yell charged towards the Boar © with another strong sweep.

    Dante rolled 6

He slowly turned his head to peak over his shoulder. Pixels went everywhere as the tusked-beast fell to the grown and materialized.

"I did it! I got one!" he readied his spear again and faced the others, he needed to have Aramail's back.

  2. Three wild boars sprang from the undergrowth. As Aramail calmed Dante down, he raised his spear as he was prompted to take charge.

"Hm, the one in the middle looks bigger" Dante said as he thought of his plan of attack. I'll try to get a smaller one first! He preceded to charge at the third boar and went for a powerful jab.

    Dante rolled 1

He missed completely. Wow, terribly embarrassing. Tha't what happens when there isn't any fighting experience however. Dante readied up and squinted his eyes. He would not be losing today.

  3. Energy flowed through Dante. This rush was like no other, at this point he couldn't really focus on if dying here would mean anything or not. Honestly, he hadn't thought much about it, the game just seemed real now, but not in a scary way; more of a warm and welcoming way. It was like he forgot about his real life more and more every minute he spent trapped inside his nerve gear, but here he was, exhilarated by it all.

"Right after you," Dante remarked, but in fact, he wish he could be in front. He just wanted to get into this forest and find out what mysterious wonders were awaiting him.

He patted Aramail on the back in reassurance that the two would be fine as they stepped into the overgrown foliage where the light barely reached the ground beneath their feet.

  4. Aramail looked like he had been waiting a while. Dante didn't want to keep him waiting so he quickened his pace and trotted over to the entry of the forest with a signature wave and smile.

"Hey man! Ready for your first quest?"

Nerves suddenly hit Dante hard in the face. He knew how dangerous the decision he was making was going to be, but trusted on Aramail that they could have eachother's backs.

Dante flipped through his equipment and got his spear ready. He was fully prepared and knew he was going to need it.

"Let's do this bro!" He let out with an excited scream and accepted the party invitation.

  5. A message appeared across Dante's interface. It was from Aramail, his new friend that he had met on floor 1 when having that strange encounter under the tree meeting all those players with Zaz.

    <Message>

Yo, Dante. There's a quest here that would be way easy with help. You in? Just meet me by the forest entrance when you're ready.

    <End Message>

He read the message to himself and preceded to reply.

    <Message>

Hey Aramail, of course I'm down to help!

    <End message>

Dante was excited that he would be gaining his first opportunity for real combat although some nerves filled him. He knew he would be just fine with his friend by his side however. As he slang his spear over his shoulder he began pacing towards the forest where he would be soon beginning his very first real adventure.

  6. After being reassured that he wasn't being a bother, Dante felt confident in asking more questions that wouldn't bother his new acquaintance. "Well, I do need to know more about the game in general; I really have no idea how combat works or ways to assure my safety, so I guess I should get that covered."

Dante really didn't have prior knowledge to the game, in fact, nobody did. Well, with the very few Beta Testers everybody started off on fairly the same playing field. However, he knew that this was no excuse to be making for not keeping up with the others, after all many other players seemed to be learning just fine. Hopefully his newfound mentor would be able to guide him into becoming more efficient as a player in SAO.

  7. Filled with a little embarrassment from her laughter filled remarks, Dante's face turned a bright red. "Well sorry for assuming.. I didn't mean to force you into anything!"

He shook his head and scratched his neck nervously. She did say she would answer my questions at least, Dante thought to himself as he realized any help he could get would be a huge benefit in the least.

"Well where should I level? What are good places to farm for materials? Where can I get some better gear?...."

Dante swarmed her with questions quickly and loudly. He was just so anxious to learn more about this incredible RPG. Also, he had to prepare himself to become much better if he was going to protect himself and his friends. Any advice from an experienced player like Zaz would be advise well worth taking.

  8. It was true, Dante did feel the need that he had to get out and explore. Sitting around the starting city would be of no use to the other players if he was just a useless avatar taking up space. And what better time to go exploring than with a high level player like this one.

"I wanna get out of here and help clear the game," Dante said loudly as people in the bar turned and looked at him.

They all went back to their business and Dante said in a more hushed tone, "I would appreciate your help as I think I'll be needing it, we might as well get going!"

He was so excited about learning to become a stronger player so he could help and support others on the battlefield.

  9. Dante looked around at the rest of the group as Zaz left, she being his first acquaintance of those who were already there. "Goodbye!" He said to the woman with a wave and a grin, then turned back around and faced the others. "Well I'm tired of standing around.. Anyone want to party up?"

*Sent invite to everyone under the tree*

Although he was new, and so were his newfound comrades; they were going to have to get around to gathering some materials and xp eventually.

  10. Another being joined the group in the open plains of floor one as she awoke from her obviously enjoyed nap. Shockingly there was some amusement to Dante how players so quickly went to interact with eachother in the virtual world, but of course he didn't mind, meeting people was after all his greatest talent.

The girl that awoke was short, very short. She seemed to be around his age and this was appealing as he hadn't met any players around his age so far, making him feel a bit too young. As the exhausted girl stood up Dante introduced himself. "Hey, I'm Dante!" He then preceded to accept her warm handshake and let out a wide smile.

Dante was exhausted as well, he was thinking a nap wouldn't be such a bad idea for himself! However, the energy from everyone else rubbed off on him, leaving him anxiously waiting to see where his new friendships would unfold into and how this meeting would resolve.

  11. Dante chuckled when he heard the woman's remark about her relationship with the bar. He always thought that happy drunks were an exceptionally funny breed of human.

"Well, I haven't done much adventuring; in fact, I'm quite the noob. I really haven't made much progress past the first floor and I've even refrained from involving myself in combat. So the only option I had was to explore, and that's what I've been doing, just wandering the Town of Beginnings!"

It was true, Dante was a bit of a noob. He didn't fancy the idea of venturing out on his own into combat and ending up dead by some high-level mob. If he was going to be starting any "dangerous" adventuring, he definitely was going to want someone watching out for him. Without adventure, the teenage boy really had no other place to be except for putting himself into the field and out of safety's net.

"Like I said... I kinda' just stumbled accross this bar, and I guess since I've never had an experience like this in the real world I might as well give it a shot now!" Dante blushed after his remark, feeling stupid and a little bit childish, then scratched behind his ear in a somewhat uncomfortable manner in waiting for the woman's reply to his churlish reason for being in that very bar.

  12. Suddenly the area was turning into a little party of sorts. Another player which Dante gathered to be a player of higher level walked on over and could tell that he already knew it was a bunch of noobs surrounding the base of this tree.

"I was just out exploring the floor a little, getting used to some farming spots and trying to find good places I can gather materials on in the future!" Dante said to Zaz, as he realized he would have to become more familiar with the game and its environment if he wanted to survive.

"But that's not important now." Dante explained to the group of people gathering around him. He wondered what was going to come next with the vastly different people and how this encounter would unfold. Hopefully it would end with him meeting these two new players and getting some work done.

  13. "Hey there Aramail, I'm pretty new myself. Haven't gotten into much adventure yet; in fact, I haven't even left the first floor!" Dante explained to his new-found acquaintance. He smiled, scratched the back of his head, and turned to Anna.

"Well haven't seen you in a while!" he jokingly said to her in the fact that they had encountered just the day before.

"What's going on? What are y'all up to?"  Dante stormed them both with numerous questions and kept them coming until he was short of breathe. Talking was after all one of his strong-suites. He knew he would have to make some friends to help get everyone back to the real world safely, and these two were going to do just fine for him.

  14. Hey man, you can call me Fin. I'm just here to say hey, and welcome to the site! Feel free to contact me if you wish to roleplay dude1

Thanks for the welcome man! Nice to meetcha!

  15. While strolling along the open grounds of the starting floor, Dante was hard at work trying to learn as much about the area and the world in general trying to keep up with the other players. He knew he had been hustling, maybe even a little too much, and definitely could use some rest.

*bzzzzzzzzzzrrrrrrrrrggggh!*  A long rumbling noise came from his stomach, "Oh boy, I better get my hands on something to eat, I can't take this much longer" Dante remarked as he rubbed his stomach and stuck his tongue out in a queasy gesture. As he was talking to himself however, he realized the woman he had previously encountered at the bar in the Town of Beginnings and forgot all about his dire hunger.

"HEY!" He shouted, realizing when she turned that she was already engaged in conversation with another player that he had never met before.

Dante walked on over and waved to the stranger from a short distance. "Yo! I'm Dante, niced to meetcha' pal!" then preceded to stick out his hand from his waving motion into an aim for a high-five.

  16. Hi, my name is Anthony! I like playing Brave Frontier, Starbound, Graal, RPGs, and anything along that. I like meeting new people too so feel free to introduce yourself. Also I'm clearly here because I'm a big fan of SAO. If you would like to RP, play games, or just chat, I'm always down for that !

  17. Dante laughed and took the seat he was assigned. "Well, I don't spend much time at the bar scene I guess." he said as he thought to himself, "Hell, I've never even been IN a bar!" But that didn't much matter, what more was expected from a kid his age?

He looked around, then glanced at the numerous empty mugs, and picked up from the pause in his sentence "But I'm going to assume you spent PLENTY of time here!"

Dante went on realizing she probably hadn't been fully aware of what he just said, "Anyways, yeah, I am pretty new here! My name is Dante, and what about you?"

He stuck out his hand in gesture of a handshake.

  18. "What's this?" Dante remarked as a bar sign crept into his vision. At the sight of a bar that he could actually get into, a huge smile sprawled across his face. "Good thing they don't have IDs in Aincrad, am I right?" The corny joke of his own brought a short burst of laughter as he tried to control himself from his own poor joke.

Dante swung open the door to the bar and was immediately slammed in the eardrum with a scream let off by a woman at the bar.

    "BARKEEEEEEEEP, BRING ME MORE BEER!"

Dante laughed and knew that he already figured out where he was going to sit. He walked up to the "drunken" girl at the bar and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey! You look like you're having a great time, I love having a great time too, my name is Dante, mind if I join you?" he asked with squinty eyes and a broad smile across his face.

  19. Dante-

    Profile
    » Username: Dante
    » Real name: Dante Soddu
    » Age: 17
    » Gender: M
    » Height: 6'

» About: Dante is a goofy kid that often finds himself right in the middle of trouble. Growing up, he was always the joker in school and got along with everyone easily. His absent-minded personality has stuck with him since birth, as he has always been considered to have little common sense as he would rather spend less time thinking and more time laughing. Dante always lightens the mood when he's around, and can never be harsh or hostile to anyone. Although he is often caught daydreaming and joking, Dante is a pretty witty kid. He isn't book smart or anything like that (as he payed little attention during most of his school career), but he is cleverly street-smart due to the time he had to spent outside on the streets as his poor upbringing didn't want him around the foster-house ever. Overall, Dante is an average goofball that's easy to get along with and an upbeat boy without a clue.

    » Virtues:
Kindhearted: Making friends is easy, he cares about all of his companions and everyone he meets. Never agitated towards anyone and always tries to see the good in people. Could never intentionally anger someone or hurt their feelings, whether friend or enemy, Dante thinks its better to get along with everyone as he knows everyone is good at heart.

Quick thinking/street smart: Due to his upbringing, Dante sometimes found himself in "questionable" antics that would probably be best for him if he didn't get caught. He usually can find a way out of sticky situations and is always thinking one step ahead of the problem at hand.

Persistent: If Dante has a goal, he won't stop until he achieves it. He always puts his mind towards everything he does even though it may not seem that way sometimes. No matter what the situation, Dante will do whatever he can to get the job done especially if others are relying on him to do so, as he hates letting his friends down. Not one to quit, and never gives up.

    » Flaws:
    Reference: http://www.darkworldrpg.com/lore/flaws.html
Childish: Dante is a always joking, not taking much seriously. Although it usually isn't a problem, sometimes it can get him into trouble when taking certain situations way too lightly. Often jokes about juvenile things which some people find agitating; does a good job at pissing off others who don't find goofing off amusing.

Immature: Sometimes a little too immature, relates to his childishness. Also emotionally undeveloped and often juvenile in his behaviors. Can be a bit of a child when things don't go his way. Although he can't really help it, his lack of upbringing makes him unable to think logically and mature in certain situations where the outcome isn't favorable to him.

Nosey: Although he means it in no harm, Dante always wants to know what's going on, even if it's not his business... and he often finds a way to figure it out whether he should be involved or not. Sometimes gets himself into sticky situations where he wouldn't have been involved in to begin with if he just minded his own business.
