  1. Ahti lept into the air with a loud "Yahoo!" And brought her blade down at the creature, hoping to destroy it in another blow. The sword came down, but narrowly missed the plant creature. It responded with a spray of liquid from it's flower, but Ahti avoided it, watching as it melted into the digital tree behind her. Acid attacks too? This was totally not low level okay!

  2. "A giant wasp? It mus be an agent sent by the bureau, Point me in the direction and I will break it with the powers of the Berzerking Flames of Darkness!!"  She said, fist clenched and eyes filled with determination. She then giggled and said , "Just kidding~ It's a pleasure to meat you, Lowenthal, Master of the Shadow Arts!" she said, making up a cooler sounding title for him. She leaned back on a wall, piping back up, "I'm Shri-.... Ahti~" she said, catching herself by biting her own tongue. She nodded and checked her quest log, looking to see she had the option of picking it up too, and quickly clicked it, accepting the quest.

  3. The plant creature took it's chance to beginning the fight and slumped forwards, vines whipping out to grab at Ahti. "An attack like that won't work! Breaking Blaze!" She said, attempting to cut the vines in half, the attack looking much cooler in her mind. She was able to break all of them however, and while cutting it's arms did do damage she still got hit by some of it's appendages

  4. Going deep into the forest she kept heading towards the direction of the scent; perhaps it was a rare flower or spice? Ahti was determined to find out, and she quickly neared a clearing. Pushing herself through the last of the brush she looked ahead and saw, no spice, but a flower sitting in the middle of the clearing. When she walked up to pick it a rumbling could be heard as the monster popped out of the ground, ready to fight!

  5. She moved along, looking or more items to collect; the more she could find the better off her beginning experience would be after this! There was a odd looking log, and not thinking she put her head into the log to see if anything of value could be inside. Alas, there was nothing within, and she pulled her face out of the log, before going deeper into the pleasant smelling forest.

  6. Ahti heard the sound of a man in trouble, and turned on her heel, letting out a fake 'Ho ho ho!' "I knew one day people would need me, Ahti the Breaker, to talk to them!" She let out yet another fake laugh then looked at the man; he had a fancy looking dagger at his side, and was leather coat. "A spy sent by the bureau of life management?!" She said, accusing him of something completely fake and made up. Her hands waved a bit in front of her, before letting out a real laugh. "No, they have not yet infiltrated the hero ranks of this dimension. What can I help you with?" She asked, switching back to normal English and talking like a sane person now.

  7. Ah yes, there should be more Unarmed skill enhancements as well other than the standard + Unarmed damage. Though Unarmed has the neat fact that it doesn't use a weapon slot- still would be nice if gauntlets and handwraps could use normal weapon enhancements- so you could have a stunning fist , or do more damage by clawing out a vulnerable spot and making a target bleed. Also could be nice to give unarmed players some sort of reason to have a back up weapon or some sort- but still they are kinda rare.

  8. I think nobody is going to complain about it being a broken system or anything, but as of right now all weapons are just differently skinned pieces of metal. There is no real difference between the weapon types at the moment, but there should be. So I have a few proposed idea's, non of which I have the power to make happen, that I can offer to the gms to use if they wish.

1: Separation of One handed and Two handed. One might say the classification of the amount  of hands is enough separation, but look closely at other games. What's the big difference between the weapons of varying hand numbers in every other game? Damage vs Utility. A one handed weapon is versatile, as it could be used by itself, or even more powerfully, with a shield. When using a 1 handed weapon you can pick up a shield and use it to help take less damage. You can't use a shield while also using both hands to hold your weapons. To offset this downside normal games have Two-handed weapons do more damage, or have unique effects to make up for this fact. Our game does not; there is no statistical difference between a 2h Katana, or it's 1h Curved sword counterpart. Other than style there is no reason to actually spend the extra points on Katana skill, other than style choice.

Possible fixes- Bonus damage. A hot patch fix would be as  simple as making two handed weapons base deal 2 damage instead of the one handed weapons one. And while double the damage seems like a major difference at first, when you get A perfect weapon of both types with +3 damage, and 5 ranks in your weapon skill, the damage numbers are actually 9 vs 10 in terms of damage and the damage increase is actually severely minor as you go up in levels; meaning while two handed weapons do more upfront they gradually get closer to their one handed counter parts.

Another fix would be similar to the separation of Light and Heavy armor, Unique enhancements for both. This would take a good deal more writing sure but in the end would probably give players more options to put on their weapons besides the norm of +3 Damage or +2 damage and +1 bleed that I tend to see everywhere. These could be enhancements to better fit the weapon styles themselves, such as rapiers gaining a bonus to hit, up to the enhancement spent on it, each successive hit, or a Katana ignoring Enhancement bonus Damage mitigation on a crit, or a dagger having a altered bleed style poison. Fun things to make each weapon choice unique and intensive.

  9. She was originally going to the boulder but she found something odd about it. The Crack, it had gotten larger, like somebody had mined a hole into the large rock. She peaked inside and saw a wondrous thing, gems! Gems as far as the rock could see! Had the boulder have been a geode this whole time without her knowing so? She took a couple attempt to gather the multicolored stones off the inside of the tiny cave. The first time she tired the rocks crumbled, they where extremely fragile! Working more delicately for the third she managed to pry off a deep blue one, before the rock-face collapsed, the mining spot becoming off limits.

  10. Receiving a Message and some stuff from a fellow player she smiled as she no longer needed to be out here gathering mats. Did that mean she wasn't going to keep gathering mats? Pfht, no! She adventured further out, finding that same bush again. Repetition was boring, but gear to slay said boars would not be. She failed to get the herbs necessary and the bush despawned. Better luck next time~

  11. Wandering in to wonderful shop her eyes lightened as she gazed upon all the wonderful looking gems, metals, and cloth turned into extravagant pieces of wearable art. "So cool! Excuse me, Miss?" She asked aloud, coming to the main desk with a question. "Do you take custom orders? If so I would love for a personal item to be made for me.. I have the money ahead of time." She said, looking at the prices and spotting the custom item forum. She quickly filled it out, but hung around in case the owner needed anything upfront.

    Item: Elude Epitaph

Description: Twin golden armbands that imbue the wearer with peranatural strength and agility.

  12. Unfortunately finding those three sheep in a row must have put the system on reset, and she couldn't find any more gathering spots for quiet some time. Having spent a good 3 hours on just gathering she decided it was time for a more sizable break. Sitting down under the barn of the sheep pin she pulled out one of the waters and drank it dry, being in the heat all day was just as tiring as fighting off the spirits of purgatory back in the multidimensional rift two years ago!

  13. She wandered back over to the sheep pin; there where 3 sheep right next to each other!!! Taking a quick, and shady, look around her she saw no players where here to steal this beautiful bounty of wool! She hopped the fence and started to click on the sheep with joy. The first and the third where busts, but the second gave a big heap of wool; and it was all hers. "Yosh! That's four, a few more and I'll be good! This was my best idea yet!"

  14. After a short break she decided to head back to the large rock, to see if the ore inside had respawned yet or not. Tapping on the crack once more she tapped her foot as she waited to see if it would yield it's valuable contents or if it would stubbornly withhold them. Unfortunately nothing was to be gained, and she let her head hang low in shame. Letting out a light sigh she wandered away, maybe there really was a beginners luck system, and she wasted it farming instead of fighting a high level boss?

  15. Ahti wandered into the forge, happy to find it up and running. "Good good, I was hopping to find you. I need a weapon and armor forged from some of the best steel you have to assist in my journey to the top; allowing me to smash in the boundaries between life and death!" She said, slipping into her delusion even inside of a fantasy game. Clearing her through she waved it off like she hadn't' said that. "Anyways, here and the specs I am looking for, think you can manage it?"

She quickly posted the specs of the weapon and armor she was looking to buy, waiting to see if he'd be able to manage it.

  16. She head into the forest this time, being extra careful not to go too deep into the danger zone, as she looked for a certain flower, hearing that it was a extra special material. This gathering took especially long, spending almost an hour looking for it in the light underbrush. But she had failed once again, a shame but part of the cold reality, not everything was gonna go perfectly, and her first three successes where easily chalked up to the fact that beginners might have a bit higher luck stat than other people, as she saw her level had increased to 2.

  17. With three successes in a row she wandered off towards the original spot where she found the herbs, seeing that the bush had popped back into being for now. Weather or not she would get to it in time and get a successful gathering was another story. Unfortunately before she could get another step closer to it another higher level player stepped up and snatched it away. A sad fact but she'd have another chance to farm it again later on.

  18. The crunch of grass under her shoes was relaxing as she walked over to a sheep pin fence, seeing a rather large one near the fence line. Going up to it she pet it a few times, before tapping it on the head, attempting to harvest it before it wandered off. Another successful gathering, it made three so far. She was roughly half way to her goal. A few more walk through and she was going to trade this all in for a reliable set of gear.

  19. Moving on to the next spot she reached a large bolder, a ore location if she knew one! She looked all around it, before finding a crack in the large stone, tapping it and watching the gathering pinwheel spin as it decided if she got some ore or not. She smiled as a item called Carbalite Ore was added into her inventory, and walked off, scanning the distance for the next one.

  20. She wandered out for a long while, until she finally found a herb spot; she quickly ran up to harvest it before one of the other players tried to do so. Reaching it she started to use the gathering action, hoping it didn't fail! Working fast she picked the plant and watched as it added into her inventory. Good, that was one piece of marital down; a bunch more and she could trade it in for some good stuff. She moved onwards, enjoying the nice breeze.

  21. Ahti stepped out onto the wide fields of floor one, happy to breath the fresh air. "What a wonderful day! Good breeze, great air, not a cloud in sight!" She stretched and walked out onto the field; before having watched somebody die to a boar. That's right, this is the death game. She looked at the player carefully as he broke. Even to a level 1 monster players where helpless at her level, their gear simply was not good enough- and players could only succeed by getting lucky. Or by having better gear; the stuff they started out with was barely good enough to beat the first monsters by themselves.

So she decided she was gonna hunt for materials to trade in to the local blacksmith for arms and armament before fighting things; as much as she hated to wait brawling, death was not an option! She wandered out into the field, avoiding the spawn zones for today and looked for herbs, or rocks, or even sheep she could extract materials from.

    Profile
    » Username: Ahti
    » Real name: Shiroko Tagashi
    » Age: 20
    » Gender: Female
    » Height: 5'9"

» About: Shiroko lived a normal life in an apartment complex in the Northern Shinjuku District of Tokyo. She grew up with little to no complications, and lived a boring life up until the 8th grade where she became a delinquent chunibyo; Calling herself Ahti The Breaker and living a fake life that year, buying fantasy toys, and costumes to better descend herself into her chunibyo. Swords, and guns, and "I will break the lines of heaven and hell!" Where made that year, and even late into her high-school life, where she found a boyfriend who put up with her rowdy persona.

After graduating highschool despite sub-par grades, she went to a local collage after a year of study for the entrance exam. Slightly less enveloped in her own little world she took collage seriously, until the announcement and trailers for a new VR fantasy game using new technology, Sword-Art Online. Spending a sizable chunk of her allowance on the game and the device to run it, the Nervegear. On the day of launch she, played hooky from class to test it out, unfortunately getting trapped within. While scary at first she quickly adapted, falling back fully into her persona of 'The Breaker' and did her best to beat this game in it's tracks.
    » Virtues:

Protective: While Ahti may focus on defeating her foes, as long as something hasn't set her often she has a strong urge to interpose herself in-between her weaker friends and strong enemies. While that would normally lead her to be a tank, she doesn't see it that way, as while she protects her friends, she doesn't actively seek to be hit, lest she snap and forget her friends entirely.

Totally Smashing!: She knows how to scrap, doesn't shrug from a fight, and isn't afraid of anything. She'll accept any challenge with a stalwart glare, blade in hand. She doesn't always need a reason to smash somebody face in, but generally doesn't pick on weaker people.

Leadership:  Ahti is great at giving orders, arranging tactics, and organizing a fight. Due to her chunibyo, she is used to being large and incharge over people she deems less than her, and even better with people she deems as her equal! She generally tries to protect all under her guide, even if that task is impossible.

    » Flaws:

Short Fuse: Her years being the 'Breaker' caused her to naturally develop a short fuse; Anger fulling her into battle to crush her foes. And her allies just so often got in the way, or set her off, causing them to get in the crossfire. While she generally wont kill a player on purpose, her rage could easily let her do some damage without meaning to.

High Self Expectation: She over judges her abilities; which can often cause her to walk into situations that aren't always going to go well. She generally will not apologize for the mistake, as she considers herself stronger than the challenge and will shift the blame onto others with her if possible.

Chunibyo: Ahti is unfortunately cursed with chunibyo, a state of mind that does not separate reality from fantasyin her normal life. While it's much less of a stigma in a virtual reality such as SAO, she still will go on about things that was her fantasy in the real world, and often makes up things in SAO as well, "This one time, I had a romantic picnic with a vampire lord on floor 4. No I'm not lying, he just only spawns when the moon is full and the floor turns to purple ooze~"
