  1. Juzt had finally made his way back to the shop, knowing that his prepaid order had likely been long since completed. He didn't feel any need to excuse himself for making the blacksmith wait as he paid ahead of time so upon entering the shop, he would speak as if it was a standard pick up. "Evening blacksmith, just here to pick up the kit I ordered." He would wait around to hear what, if anything, the blacksmith had to say before his departure. Upon inspecting the craft, he would find that it fit the bill exactly and his work was flawless as far as Juzt could tell. Opening the door to exit, he'd turn back to the man to acknowledge his gratitude, "Thanks for the mighty fine work, keep it up blacksmith. See ya round, sometime."

  2. It had been a long while since Juzt had dropped by, having been focused on other various tasks that seemed to pop up one after another. He had made sure not to forget about the order he had made, knowing that it was essential to his climb towards becoming an actual gladiator in Aincrad. Finally returning to pick up the gear he had ordered, he'd casually enter as if it was the day after, "Morning blacksmith, I'm here to pick up my order." Albeit larger than a normal order, it only consisted of three pieces - the Spear of Ares, Armor of Apollo, and Shield of Athena. They might have been named a bit cheesy, though Juzt felt as if the names would leave a little satisfaction at the thought of being more like a spartan. When he inevitably received his items, he would make his leave just as quick as his entrance, "They look great. You have a good one, blacksmith."

  3. He couldn't help grinning at the thought of himself being some well known, big screen actor that spoke his lines in unwavering confidence. Certainly, he was meant to be a big shot at some point in his career, but that all came crashing down at too fast a pace. He didn't want to drown himself in a drunken sorrow here and now, but whenever the thought invaded his head in the real world, a quick drink was an easy remedy. Maybe that's why he was so interested in establishing a bar here in the game, realizing that it had became a part of himself by now, but for the time being, there as far more exciting things to focus on. One being the girl that was steadily making a distance as she sprinted into the forest, leaving Juzt farther and farther behind as she allowed herself to be freed from the chains she had bound herself to, "Oi, hold up a minute, will ya?" Starting off with a slow start, instinctively not used to running anymore, it wasn't long before he was dashing full speed and catching up to Jazz, "I thought I told you to hold on, it's not like you know where in the forest these mushrooms grow and you barely know what they look like." He shook his head in jest, "If I didn't know better, I'd think you were careless."

  4. As he kept a steady pace, it wouldn't be too long until they had the lake in sight, but it would still take another five minutes unless they ran. In the meantime, he would continue to address the pest that kept trying to get back at him, "You know, not everything is about business, short stuff. Sometimes you gotta stop mixing the drinks and take one yourself, allow yourself to get loose and go out and enjoy the world." He recalled how she reacted to his speech about adventure when they first met and expected her to stop him if he continued on, "Do I actually have to remind you of that?" However, he wasn't one to pass up such an opportunity if it passed so he pushed it a little, "To be honest, the simple fact that you brought it up shows that you're showing signs of interest in joining me in business. Just because you're a little stubborn doesn't mean that you're not wise enough to consider it." He grinned as he stopped and turned towards her, "I'm sure if you gave it a shot-"

"Oh, what's this?" Yet another message had popped up on his screen and he lost his train of thought as he pulled it up, quite surprised to have yet received another one on the same day. It was from the same player that had invited them to the lake, but the news on the message was far from as good as before, "Well, looks like neither of us will get to go now." While he wasn't disappointed, it would have been nice to get the chance to see some of the other more relaxed players. He would have to take the chance to bug Jasmine about it though, "You know, if I hadn't waited so long for you, I could have made it. Now, I guess you'll have to make it up somehow." He pretended to think it over while tapping his chin before snapping his finger, then pointing at her, "Actually, I know a way. You can swing by the bar and help cook up some treats, I'll mix up some drinks, and we can host a party of our own. How does that sound?"

  5. He wasn't all too surprised to see that she was becoming a little antsy at the concept of player versus player combat, it was a controversial topic of discussion that nearly every player had a strong opinion about. Regardless of their opinion, however, it was still a part of the game and everyone was at risk of death at the hands of another whenever they took a step out of the safe zone. Having already reached the border of town, he stopped just outside, leaving Jasmine just a few steps inside of the safe zone as he continued his explanation, "Well, to be honest, there's two things that you can do. Option one is to imprison yourself in the town squares, never experiencing the wonders and fun that this game has to offer. You'll never know just how greener the grass is on the other side, but you'll live without fear and may live to see this game end some day." He drew a line in the dirt with his foot, creating a representation of the safe zone border, "Option two is to take a step into the wild, go out there and delve into the splendor of the game. Sure, you'll never be safe, but you'll be living life to the fullest. That's the life for me and even if a player takes my life, at least I know I took the right choice." He opened his hand and pointed it towards the line, "The question is you should be asking is - do you want to avoid it?"

  6. He grinned as he got shoved aside so that she could take over the conversation, but there was very little to be said. Much like his own attempt at this quest, it all came down to retrieving items that was needed by the appropriate NPC to forge, brew, or piece together an example to be followed. Once they taught you, things just begin to click and you're in business, at least after you make one. Tilting his head towards the exit, he'd began walking out as they began their short journey outside the town, "You know, you don't have to give him an honorific. He's just an NPC, but anyways..." He placed focus on the more important matter at hand as he had a few things that he wanted to explain before passing beyond the safe borders, "The area outside the safe zones have no particular name, but I and many others refer to them as the wild - short for wilderness. In these areas, players can fight monster or even other players. It's very dangerous if you're not prepared, especially in the beginning." He let out a sigh, formed from a combination of disappointment and relief, as he recalled his own journey on this quest, "Any questions so far?"

  7. While he didn't expect for someone to so quickly hop on board such an idea with a complete stranger, it brought about a bit of humor with how enforced she was about the concept of her choosing her profession without his influence. He honestly didn't care what she chose so long as she made a decision that she wanted and that she made it quickly enough so that they could continue on with the quest to get her started in the world of Aincrad, "If that's what makes you sleep at night. Well, with that decided, that means we're off to see the Sous Chef of Marty's Grill." It was an NPC shop that specialized in mid-tier food, but the Sous Chef was one of the many NPCs you could speak to if you'd like to start the quest down the cook line. He'd lead the way down three streets and through an alley before arriving at the place, making his way to the counter and catching the man he was seeking, "Yo, Sous. This girl here, Jasmine, is looking to become the finest chef in Aincrad. Claims she's a real pro that could scallop you like a potato, think you can give her a go?" He was joking around since the NPC didn't care about how players interacted with it, merely offering the quest and the instructions on how to complete it.

  8. With her explanation of her lack of knowledge about the game, he figured that she was being honest, but he didn't expect her to be exactly this clueless everything. It was a good thing that she chose him to ask such things since there were plenty of baddies out for blood and he wasn't one of them, "Well there are a total of eight different professions - blacksmith, tailor, artisan, alchemist, cook, performer, fisherman, and merchant. If you need a more detailed description about them, I can give it to you, but they're rather straightforward. I went with alchemist, personally, and I'm running a bar thanks to it. I'm hoping that I'll find a cook and performer that's interested in forming a team to run the place and give it a unique taste so if you're interested in either of those two, do let me know." He didn't intend to recruit her with how he said it nor mean to influence her decision, although it likely came off that way. He just wanted to offer an opportunity that he had to give and wouldn't be disappointed regardless of what she thought of it, "Do think over what profession you'd like quickly though, Jasmine. We're in the shopping district so we can't continue until your decision has been made."

  9. Juzt made his way inside the relatively new artisan shop, taking note of the rather dull name. It wasn't anything in the way of distasteful or incompetent, yet it lacked a sense of the standard that plagued these floors of shops named after witty puns and tragic themes. Inside, it certainly felt quite an uplifting contrast as the decor and color scheme complimented each other greatly. Looking at the dragons and the fires that emerged, he thought to himself, "Could focus a bit more on the cause, rather than the effect." Taking an order form from its slot, he'd began filling it out as he called for the attention of the owner, wherever he might be as the NPC maid didn't seem to fit the bill, "Yo, is the Painter here?" He referred to him or her as such a title due to the shop's name, "I'm here to place an order." His order was rather simple, yet would cost himself quite the pretty penny. However, it would be a fair gift to the first person that actually befriended him here in Aincrad.

  10. Once he made it to the square, he'd find a bench to sit on and began counting the minutes as they went by. He was by no means an impatient man, but he wasn't one to waste the day away waiting for life to happen. It wouldn't be more than six minutes before the girl he had messaged finally showed her face, having come from the floor that they met on previously. As she made her way forwards, he'd raise one of his hands in salutations, "About time you showed up, Jasmine. Had you taken too much longer, I'd have gone off without you. You're welcome though." Granted, it wasn't true as he had gotten a message from her almost immediately in response that she would show up, but a little light teasing wasn't too much to ask for. Pulling up the open invitation once again, he'd place the numbers into his map so that he could easily see the destination, "The lake's not too far off, may take half an hour to get to if we're slow." It wouldn't seem to take nearly that long with how she talked, but that wasn't a bad thing. Taking the lead, he'd gesture for her to tag along so they could get this show on the road.

  11. Juzt pulled up his inbox after he was notified he had received a message, uncertain as to who could be trying to get in contact with him at such a time. It could be someone interested in ordering some supplies from his shop, but that was unlikely... perhaps Jazz or Ssendom. However, when he saw the source, he was quite confused by the name, "Must have mistyped the recipient..." Reading through, he'd find that it was an open invitation rather than an individual message, "Well, that's a first. Wonder if I'll recognize anyone there considering I've been focusing more on the bar than socializing. Perhaps I should see if she's interested in tagging along since she seems like the type to be into these sorts of events." He closed out of the invite and began creating a message to send to Jazz with minimal wording, [Yo, there's a party going on at a lake on the second floor. If you're interested in going, meet me at the square and we'll walk. You've got ten minutes before I head out, see ya there.]

    @Jazz

  12. She was pretty giddy about him stepping in, but didn't take too long to get to the chase after rambling on about her lack of experience. With this in mind, he assumed that she hadn't done anything in this game so the first step she should take would be to start the same quest he did when he first logged on, "Sure, I don't mind one bit." He was a little pestered that she hadn't given him her username yet as that was a pretty standard point of introduction, but this game was filled with people of all different cultures, "Well, first thing you ought to do is start by completing the most basic quest - Earning a Living. It'll allow you to open up a shop, whatever it is you so desire, and when you go out into the wilderness, you'll have something to do with the loot you snag." He began walking towards the shopping district, where most of the NPC shops were and gestured for her to follow along, "By the way, I don't recall me introducing myself." Taking his opportunity to once again obtain the other player's name, he'd make it far more blatant and clear for her to understand what he wanted, "The name's Juzt. Nice to meet you."

  14. Justin hadn't much to do in the way of quests or training today so he figured he'd spend some time focusing on gathering materials for his bar, which would be the reason he was returning from his usual stay up on Floor 9. He didn't need many materials to keep his brewing process going strong, preferring these quick, frequent trips as an excuse to have a short break every few days. The last time he had been down here, however, was back when he took on his quest for his profession. While he certainly wasn't a high class warrior, he definitely felt a little out of place with all the noobs and clueless players that hung around here. Making his way through the town square on his way to the fields, he'd soon run into a disturbance that would prevent him from continuing on without at least heeding its presence, "Yo, planning to see what's on the outside of the walls? What's your name, dear?"

  15. Justin made his way into the shop, having ensured that he closed the wooden door behind him. The sign had been turned so that it stated open, but the lack of customers during his time of visit made him skeptical of the sign's accuracy. Though at the counter, he'd find that the owner was eagerly carrying on with the daily activities, whatever they may be. Raising his hand up in salutations, he spoke up, "Evening, blacksmith. I'm looking for someone that's capable of handling a pretty large order of some high quality gear and I need to know if you think you can handle it well enough." He pulled up a note that he had written describing what he needed beforehand and showed the smith, "I've heard good things about this place and if you can handle it, I place it in your hands."

  16. Juzt eagerly accepted the man's materials, noting that he had admitted that he was a PKer, "Ah, who cares about a silly old color anyways? Green or otherwise, I deal with em all and you can't tell the difference. Shame on people for discriminating in such a modern time and age." Making his way over to his alchemists set, he'd trail off his point as he had something to admit himself, "Aye, I can't quite decipher how to make crystals yet, but I'll make you a pair of potions of the same quality. I'll let you know when I've got em done, alright man?" Getting to work, he wouldn't have much luck tho as the base material dissolved into a "good" quality ingredient, meaning an attempt at the damage potion would be futile, so he used the ingredient to make some more of his trademark alcohol. He had several attempts left and wasn't worried, but at least he'd have some more drinks on standby.

  17. It had been a while since Juzt had been here, considering that the owner of the shop happened to forget not only about his order, but him as well. He had stormed off in a rage, not caring to bring his two cents to the owner's ears as he hadn't the self control to handle himself when he went off fuming, though he had eventually calmed and, surprisingly, forgotten about the whole thing. Well, at least he had until recently, when he recalled placing his order, paying in materials up front, and his deal being accepted by the owner clear as day. Making his way into the store, he'd stroll toward the counter and knock thrice upon it to grab the owner's attention, wherever she may be, "Teayre, are ya here?"

"Welcome to the Aincrad Entertainment Group, otherwise known as AEG."

Justin stood on stage at The Drunken Moogle with a house special in hand, looking out on all the lovely and not so lovely faces that had stopped by today. It was just before dusk on a Monday night and he had closed the bar for the duration of the meeting and festivities that quickly followed after it. The only people that occupied the seats in front of him were the latest batch of recruits to join the Aincrad Entertainment Group, most of which looked promising or, at the very least, interested in what this was all about. Downing a little more of his Moogle, he cleared his throat and began addressing the crowd with the topic at hand.

"Thank you for showing up today, it's always a pleasure welcoming new members to our guild. If I have yet to meet you personally, my name is Juzt. I am the founder of this group and am quite proud to be in such a position, one that I didn't personally expect to be in starting out in the game. I'm sure those of you here that have been recommended by friends or overheard some of the rumors of this fine guild understand what we're all about; making the most out of Aincrad. I know it's tough for some people, but we're stuck in this place and it's going to be quite some time until we make it out. That's why this guild was created in the first place. As a community, we will train together, celebrate together, and make it to the end together. No man left behind and all that jazz, but we're also here to make it fun along the way. We will be frequently hosting events that you and any other guild members are more than welcome to attend, plus some confidential activities and festivities that you currently don't know about, but you will! Maybe. Probably. Anyways, that's all that I really had to say. Thank you for coming in and get to know some of your fellow mates. Cheers!"

    Rules of the Guild

Of course, with every guild, there are a set of rules in place. Here are our rules, they're rather simple:

    2. Respect the guild and its members.
      • If you have any issues with any other members, please keep it between you. If it reaches a point in which you can not contain the issue, message a ranked member or moderator of the forums. Thank you.
    3. Events held within the guild are kept within the guild.
      • If a player is not a member of the guild, they are not invited to join any of the guild hosted events. If they would like to join the guild, and do so in a timely manner, they are welcome to join in if available.
    4. Respect the decisions of the leader and coordinators.
      • We strive to make this a fun, relaxed, and entertaining experience for everyone involved. If you take up issue with this, please be constructive in your criticism or suggestions. 5. Enjoy your stay.
      • The entire goal behind this guild is to make the most of the moment, don't make things dramatic if they don't have to be. If you're having a good time so will everyone else, we wish to keep it that way.

"I look around, I look around, I see a lot of new faces...

Which means a lot of you have been breaking the first two rules of Fight Club."

Sword Art Online is a game that focuses on the course of fighting, particularly between monsters and players. It's a rather common formula in most recent massively multiplayer online games, especially here in Sword Art Online. With the fear of death looming in the air, the concept of fighting another player is often left in the dust. However, Fight Club brings about the greatest portion that is overlooked by the majority of the player database, player versus player combat. While we do not encourage player killing, we all appreciate a good fight, whether it's blade against blade or fist against fist. Here, you can participate, so long as you follow a few simple rules:

    1. You do not talk about Fight Club.
    2. You DO NOT talk about Fight Club!
    3. Someone yells "stop!" or forfeits, the fight is over.
    4. Only two players to a fight.
    5. One fight at a time, fellas.
    6. No potions, just armor and weapons (or fisticuffs if you so desire).
    7. Fights will go on for as long as one player has more than half health.

  19. Justin rushed inside the shop, having realized that he wasn't fully prepared to begin making his potions and brews, "Oh, man. I can't believe I didn't hear about it sooner." Little to his knowledge prior to dashing over to the Amethyst Boutique, Justin didn't know that there was a variant of enchantment that permitted players with a profession to have a higher chance at success, even if it wasn't a very high percentage. However, what made it truly worthwhile was that it increased the chances of creating a perfect item by twofold, something that he absolutely needed in his currently dry business. Walking in, he'd make his way up to the coffee table to speak with the owner directly, "Hey, the name's Juzt. Just Juzt." Clarification was beyond second nature at this point, "I'm looking to purchase an charm with an enchantment that will help with crafting, I'll pay in advance to boot." He wasn't sure of what running rates this place had, but he withdrew five materials, "If you don't have anything in stock, I'm looking for something a little..." He'd explain his preference before finishing up the deal and transferring over the materials to the owner, "That good?"

  20. As Jomei said, there is no specific time besides the beginning of when everything went down. This would actually be a nice thing to make canon for the website itself, making each floor a certain time frame (ie. Floor 11 occurs during [August 2023] so that characters can slowly age over time and show development).

  21. Carmine is correct, though I do wish to take the moment to inform you of the Traveler quest. It's an easy quest that will give you +5 HP to your Total HP as well as 2 SP for completing the thread, which is enough to rank up another skill to Novice! Also, for every three turns out of combat, this skill will heal you for +5 HP. It's a pretty nice reward, considering you won't have to fight any monsters to do it. (:

  22. He was surprised to see a customer walking in this soon, within a few days after he had been given the keys to this establishment. The bar was completely far from being complete with stools resting atop of the tables and dust starting to gather on all the polished surfaces, there wasn't even more than a single drink ready for any customers. He just wasn't ready for people to start walking in and actually treating this like a legitimate bar, it had a bit of building to go. However, he didn't have to worry about it as the one who entered was here for other matters of business. Seeing a face that he had seen nearly a week ago, Justin would more than eagerly take the items that Zak had brought in, "Thanks, man. Had some business on my plate and forgot to swing back around." It did leave him a little disappointed that he literally got what he paid for, but he couldn't complain considering it was an improvement from his current arsenal, "Don't worry about it, long as it's better than the shoddy starting equipment." He wanted to talk a bit about the bar and Zak's opinions on it, but it appeared he was in a hurry, "Well, I'll catch you around. I'll be back soon once I get settled in, but don't cheat me out this time!" He joked, hoping he'd share a sense of humor with a fellow named Dom he met a few days ago, "See ya!"
