  1. The bubbly, carbonated beverage traveled down her throat as she took another sip of the soda bottle she held in her other hand. Her eyes were fixated on NiIGHT as she gave her own advice for Jevi from a personal standpoint. With just a few words, it helped put things into perspective, and helped Jevi realize that what she felt was nothing to pass off on, but that it wasn't uncommon. In fact, NIGHT's explanation of what she went through was all too familiar. "So it sounds like you and I aren't so different.. or the old you at least." Whether a dingy room at an inn or the floor of her bla
  2. "I can take it back and punch you again if you want." she said with a single, raised brow and matching smirk before releasing Grave and taking a step back from their reunited embrace. Running a hand through the hair on the side of her head, her eyes broke from him for a moment. Since he had left and vanished without a trace, she had always thought about how she would react if and when Grave would randomly come back into her life. She tried to prepare herself so that she could, when it were to happen, handle the situation as adults. Of course that plan all went to shit when she rocked him with
  3. Arms retracted and crossed tightly at her chest. Blazing, golden eyes glared down at Grave as he struggled on the ground for a moment, processing what had just hit him. A surprise to be sure from someone with low weapon skills now master rank in martial arts. Her nostrils flared again with no words as she just thought about what she even could say to him. Part of her just wanted to kick him while he was down, but he began to actually explain himself. An explanation that may have been vague and without much detail.. explained a lot. Her composure remained the same until his eyes, even though pu
  4. Its not purple anymore. Those were the first words that Grave, the man who had broken through that thick shell of hers and got her to open up, before disappearing from her life--seemingly for good-- had spoken to her. After what seemed like years, without a single word as to why, after all they had been through. After how he made her feel. Her expression remained the same for a moment, not breaking after he said his first words to her, and then an eye twitched. Finally, slowly, he feet shuffled forward. One after another, she began taking steps towards the man, her arms falling to h
  5. Leaving the room behind her, Jevi shut the door. The tavern below was already bustling with a morning rush. The smells of breakfast platters being served wafted up the stairs in her direction. If she was much of a breakfast eater, she would definitely partake. Usually in the real world, she would be the type to just start her day with a cup of coffee and deal with the consequences later. Which was what she caved in and decided to do as she rounded the corner past the bar. The smell of a fresh cup of coffee being set down for another patron drew her attention back. It was something she enjoyed
  6. With pursed lips and a bit of hesitation, the brunette shook her head. It was pretty embarrassing to admit what little she did in her off time, if she could call it that. Her eyes broke eye contact from the shorter woman, trailing off to an opposite corner of the room. "Er.. Most of the times I just.. stay in my shop. I don't have really many people to turn to so.. I just kinda stay there." "Well, normally no." she said as she took another bite of the cookie, "The past few times I attended a party it was with a friend, or partner. Even the last party I went to I ended up just going to me
  7. With the coming and passing of the holidays, Jevi made a promise to herself that she would start working on her own self being. Even before the Holy Dragon Alliance folded, she was always just a wreck; locking herself away in solitude to just sit in her cold forge and cry. Even more so after the guild had folded, and all of her friends she had made went their separate ways. That needed to change and she knew it. Even NIGHT had managed to call her out on it from across the room.. before even speaking two words to the girl. Leave it to depression to do that to a girl. But there were no meds here
  8. A part of her regretted coming to this party; an introvert in a house full of strangers. Honestly, she wondered how some people could find this entertaining. Golden eyes closed for a moment as she thought her position here over, what was she really going to gain by coming up the the 11th Floor to the house of someone she had never met until just a few seconds ago. Jevi needed to remind herself, time and time again since taking her first step away from her forge on the 5th floor. Her mentality would only get worse if she just continued to stay in that covered hole she called a home in the
  9. "Jevi" She was caught a bit off guard by Koga's sudden appearance, not realizing he would have made himself known to the newcomer that quickly. She extended a hand out in greeting, taking the man's hand and shaking it. Offering a small smile with pursed lips, she continues. "Thanks for the invite.. even though you sent out a mass invite, I guess." her golden eyes break eye contact a she traces a finger around her hear, pushing loose strands of hair into place and revealing her undercut that slowly seems to be growing back. Jevi wasn't too good at small talk, terrible for that matter. Bu
  10. She scoffed as she looked at the small, floating box that contained a message from some unknown sender in front of her face, an array of artificial stars splattered across the ceiling of the fifth floor. "Tch.. sending a party invite to every player in Aincrad just seems like a desperate attempt to make friends.." Swiping her hand through the air in front of her, Jevi shooed away the message, letting her arm follow through and plop onto the rounded surface of her shop located out in the desert. Her shoulder length, brunette hair sprawled out around her head as she looked up at blank sky, the c

  12. Jevi's fist pounded into the rocky surface again and again, once Aquan's body had vanished from view beyond the murky depths. "Why!?" she shouted to nothingness.. "You didn't even know me.." she said softer before raising to her feet. Her eyes lingered on the spot where she last saw him fall before nodding confidently, turning her back and rushing back to the group. The water levels continued to rise and rise, as the storm continued to rage above them. Bolts of lightning through the inky black sky barely did enough to light her way, except for when the storm's wrath crashed into a tree, the ba
  13. Jevi's breathing was heavy as she looked over at the groups of NPC and players alike that had made their way to the mountain top safely. The danger had not passed, but their altitude allowed them a few moments to catch their breath before moving on. Though, if she was being honest with herself, where else did they have to go? Below them, the dark waters slowly rose higher and higher. If they were to reach their position, they would have to try and climb the trees... and that would only work for so long. A player unfamiliar to Jevi made his rounds, trying to get everyone to continue movin
  14. Chaos ensued around her, players rushing up the final leg of the mountain, while others moved towards the sound of the NPCs voice who allowed them to use his horses. Luckily enough, Jevi was already sitting atop her steed of choice as other players approached. She steadied herself as her hands searched the back of the horse, trying to figure out the best place to hang on to it. "Come on come on move." she said under her breath, before digging her heels into the horse's sides. The horse let out a small whinny before speeding forward up the mountain pass. "W-woah" the brunette felt her backside
  15. The thunderous rumble of hooves pounding against the stone surface finally became apparent to her, and nearly far too late. The team of horses, whether they could see her or not, rushed in her direction as Jevi tried to scramble to her feet, the sludge and ooze causing her to flail in place. Her golden eyes clamped shut, whether drowning in the dark waters meant death or not, she knew that being trampled by horses was definitely going to be the death of her. Suddenly, a cry of pain from one of the horses broke through the air, soon followed by a tumbling crash. A bob of green hair wieldin
  16. From rooftop to rooftop, making sure to watch her footing with each leap. A feat such as this would not have been possible for her in the real world without months of training and practice. Lucky for her, in this moment, this wasn’t the real world. She watched as the dark waters rose, almost fully engulfing the entirety of Nimbus. At some point during her parkour session above the atop a flooded settlement, she lost interest in making sure the others made it out. At least, she was no longer making it her problem. Holding back as she was earlier caused her demise nearly three times. She wouldn’
  17. The sludgy human that dragged Jevi towards the murky depths was scattered with a swift kick. The tendrils that sprung out from its form, with nothing to hold them down, crashed back down into the water, forming with it once again. The woman let out a heavy gasp as she grasped for solid ground. A helping hand from Aquan got her to her feet again. The woman shot golden daggers at the space where the ooze had held her, "I've had it with this shit!" she shouted into nothingness. Regaining her composure, she turned back to Aquan, who seemed just as lost as she was. "We just need to get out of the c
  18. The blonde began to look around frantically for her companion, whom Jevi could have sworn was right behind her when they first made contact. Jevi took a quick look around, using the description that @Lessa had given them of Alkor's look. Her golden eyes finally peered over the edge next to where Lessa searched. The black ooze seemed a bit more sporadic, bubbling up as if it had just swallowed something -- or someone in this case. Jevi pointed a finger towards the pool, before turning to Lessa, a solemn look on her face, dreading informing her of her friend's possible demise. As she opene
  19. The woman felt her back hit the ooze as she fell, the tendrils that splashed out to the side already retracting towards her body. They wanted to claim another victim. Jevi's golden eyes clamped shut, accepting her fact. However, fate had not intended her to fall at this moment.. or at least another player decided it wasn't her time to go. A hand grasped onto Jevi's wrist and pulled with all of their might. Quickly, the brunette, black sludge dripping from her hair and back, found footing on the fallen debris, and used that to assist in her rescue. One foot in front of the other, and with a the
  20. The waters continued to rise higher and higher. It was physically impossible to not stand knee deep in the muck without finding higher ground first. Even while standing on pieces of a collapsed in roof of a poor citizen's home, Jevi found herself wading in water up to her calves. It seemed the decision had been made to keep moving and not hunker down inside of Nimbus' tavern. Hell, if the sludge made its way into that place while they were in there, there was most likely no escape. Off to the side, Jevi heard another two players asking if they needed assistance, two that she had never me
  21. Not sure if speechless from shock, or words just did not come to him at the moment. Jevi would give the man a pat on the shoulders, before turning to Aquan, who had thanked him and introduced himself. "I don't know what a Firm Anima is, but I'll go anywhere to get out of this shit hole." Nearly forgetting the slowly crawling muck, Jevi picked up her feet to free herself. The sludge made a sucking sound as she pulled herself from its grasp, falling and splashing into the slowly building pool below her. She took a quick gander at her surroundings, the black water quickly rose, flooding the entir
  22. Nimbus was a complete and utter shit show. Any semblance of light from the sky above had been blackened out by storm clouds as dark as the inky rain that fell from them. The black ooze pelted the roofs of cottages, dripping off of the shingles like slimy icicles, stretching to their limit before breaking and joining the slowly growing pool on the ground. Bodies were scattering in any and every direction, NPCs piling into houses and shutting the doors and shutters behind them, not allowing any players entry due to being 'over crowded'.. just damn selfish was more like it. Remembering that
  23. Finally, another voice cut through the roar of the pounding rain. Despite the weather growing worse by the minute, Jevi felt a wave of relief crash over her. Picking up her pace a bit more, she trudged through the mud and sludge until she met with the source of the voice. The younger looking, blonde haired player stood outside of the city, responding to Jevi's voice to guide her back to Nimbus. "Thank you. I thought I was done for." she spoke loudly, as to be heard over the whipping wind. Taking a quick look down at her feet, she noticed that the black ooze that had been raining from the
  24. Wearing heavy armor made it difficult to run at full speed, and with the extra weight of her footfalls, her boots continuously sunk into the quickly forming mud. Jevi brought an arm up to try and shield her eyes from the pelting ink storm, but it was to no avail. The thick rain poured down on her, soaking her hair and soft parts of her outfit. With a snarl, Jevi continued to push forward, sloshing through the muck and water. Despite how far she ran, it just seemed Nimbus was nowhere to be found. Little did she know just how far out from the settlement she still was. "Is anyone out there?
