«Jester» The Mad. Profile » Username: Jester » Real name: Zak Burnes » Age: 16 » Gender: Male » Height: 5ft 8in » About: Many people find murder to be a terrible thing; Zak is not one of those people. From a young age, he had always been alone, picked on. This was, mainly, because Zak was an orphan. His parents had abandoned him from a young age, and he had been put into an orphanage, all alone. The other children constantly picked on him, the staff at the orphanage never even batted an eyelid. This is where Zak found his safe place; video games. For as long as he could reme
  2. "B-Bryan..!" There was no point in stopping him, he was clearly set on getting Sterling. While he didn't want him to do it, there was nothing he could do, but let him go. "Stay safe, Bryan." Sam reached into his pocket and pulled out his teleport crystal, leaving Bryan.
  3. Sam glanced away for a moment, thinking to himself. Kill Sterling? He had betrayed them, but...It didn't seem right, but at the same time, what if he did it to others? "Bryan...I...Want to know why he did it. Sam scratched the back of his neck. "If he had a good reason, then, we can't just..." Sam glanced away, he knew that if he didn't have a good reason, he would have to die. But, all the same, he didn't want to have to kill anyone. The players were supposed to be in this together.
  4. Sam laid down on the grass, gasping for air. The loud sounds of the rest of the cave crumbling could be heard, it was almost deafening and then after a moment, there was nothing. Silence. Sam climbed back onto his feet, still breathing deeply. "Bryan, Y-You're such...An idiot." He took a few more breaths, and then laughed. "But, th-thanks. A lot. Seriously, I owe you my life." He smiled at Bryan, somehow, they had managed to pull through, and had escaped the cave. He had never been more scared in his life, but at the same time, he was more happy than ever, too.
  5. Sam hastily clambered to his feet, Daeron appearing alongside him - he had moved pretty quick to get past that boulder, he had also got Sam past it first too. As the pair continued running back the way they came, the exit appeared in front of them. Unfortunately for them, a fairly large boulder was falling right in front of it. If it blocked the way out, the chances of escaping were extremely slim. Sam couldn't let that happen, while his "friend" Hunter may have abandoned him, Bryan still stayed true, and he wasn't willing to let him die. Picking up the speed, Sam headed straight for the exit,
  6. Sam took a few breaths and calmed himself. He would have time when they were out of there. Quickly he pulled out his teleport crystal. No dice. "We aren't getting out of this room using our crystals. Sterling must have triggered something when he opened the chest, but he got out before it was in effect." Sam glanced around the room, there didn't seem to be any immediate threat, so what could the real trap be? Sam took a moment to gather the items in the chest and put them into his inventory - he didn't have the time to look at them right now. As he turned back to his friend, a sudden rumbling
  7. Sam's smile immediately dropped. "D-Did he really, just...?" His finger pointed at the spot where Sterling had just been. "Th-That little rat! How could he leave us now?!" Sam's face filled with rage. He'd only come for the loot! That scumbag! Angrily, Sam stomped over to the chest to see how much of the loot Sterling had took.
  8. Sam took a few deep breaths, that was a pretty tough fight. Luckily, Sterling had pulled through in the end and saved everyone. Sam relaxed, the group no longer being in any immediate danger. To be honest, he was fairly sure they would pull through, but, he was still worried about Sterling. Daeron asked if he was alright, to which he responded, "Yeah, I'm alright. If anything we should be worrying about our savior over here." He motioned over to Sterling and chuckled to himself, smiling, he was just glad they had all pulled through.
  9. Sam was focused on fighting the toad, when he heard a thud behind him. It was Sterling. He was on the floor and in an instant Daeron was by him, saving him. Then, it got ugly. Three monsters started wailing on Daeron, and he took a lot of hits. Sam had to do something. "I-I'll draw it's attention! Don't worry, I've got your back!" Sam drew and threw a shuriken at the second Nepent, hoping to get it to aggro on him, and then focused on defending from any oncoming attacks.
  10. The first Nepent had come towards him, but Sam was ready. Its moves were fairly predictable - it was only an AI! Sam knew that as long as he didn't screw up big time, he could dodge the Nepent, and if he wasn't completely incompetent, he might even be able to sneak in a get an attack with his short sword.
  11. The room was a trap. Why wouldn't it be? Sam hastily drew a kunai from his pouch, preparing to throw. "Don't worry, we've got this, let's kick their ass!" He knew the team could do this - they'd gotten throw all of this together, and now they were ready for this fight. Sam threw the kunai at the second toad, hoping for a hit. Daeron 17/17 Sterling 11/11 Monochromatic 9/9 Nepent1 5/5 Nepent2 5/5 Scav. Toads 7/7 Scab. Toad2 4/5
  12. He smiled, although he was a little nervous, this was going pretty well! After such a long time he had finally found some normalcy in this game. To be honest, it was probably more normalcy that he was used to in his real life. He thought it would be what everyone, not just in the party, but in the game would need. Some essence of regularity. In reality it wasn't much different from real life. Okay, to be fair, it was very different from real life. But the people were the same, the interactions that they had, were real. He could see that between himself and the others. Just because this is virt
  13. Sam smirked openly and proudly. It didn't just go as planned, it went even better than planned! Then Daeron spoke, and praised Sam. He had actually praised him! It felt real good to get some form of praise, especially after a display of skill, such as that. "Hey, uh, don't worry about it. I didn't think I'd actually pull that off, to be honest..." Overall, this Daeron guy wasn't too bad. The Sterling guy wasn't too bad either; it was obvious he wanted Sam to get the experience, so he was a pretty nice guy. It'd gotten to the point where he could call the two friends. Then, Daeron asked him
  14. Sam expected one of the others to finish off, but to his surprise, Sterling had offered him the chance. He could see the Nepent's health bar - almost nothing, the party had made surprisingly quick work of the monster. Of course, even for a mere level 2, it wouldn't be hard for him to take it out. One shuriken would do it. But then again, where would be the fun in that? He had to make himself look cool in front of the others; more so that stuck up Daeron. He holstered his short sword, reaching into his bag. He then pulled out four shurikens, two in each hand. If Daeron can make up some skills,
  15. Daeron's attack missed, and as such the plant was incredibly close. It's tentacle was reaching for Daeron. He needed to do something. Sure, he didn't like the guy all that much, but he couldn't sit there and let him die. Sam strafed around the side of the monster, drawing out two kunais. All he needed was a hit, and Daeron would be alright. Sam threw the two kunai, aiming for the Nepent. He made sure to aim for the tentacle; well out of the way of the fruit on its head. 1-6: Miss the Nepent 7-8: Hit and cut the tentacle (Deal 1 damage) 9-10: Hit and cut the tentacle, as well as hitting th
  16. Who the hell did this guy think he was? Acting all smart, just because he thinks he knows what's going to happen. Sure, maybe that player killer wouldn't attack them 3 on 1, but if he did, what then? Hell, the group had had trouble fighting 2 wolves that were their level! Sam looked ahead from his moment of anger and followed after Daeron. He may not have liked the guy all that much, but he just had to deal with it for the time being. Daeron kept looking behind them, it was evident he wasn't feeling right. More than likely he expected someone to sneak up on them, and Sam was willing to bet
  17. Sam nods, his face turning stern. "Maybe you shouldn't provoke the guy so much next time. He's a way higher level, and he's killed other players... We could have been dead right there." Sam shakes his head, taking a few breaths. He cleared his throat, and then spoke again. "Whatever, I think we're good for the time being, so we should probably get going."
  18. Sam jogged up and caught up with Sterling. He placed his kunais back into his pack, easing up a little. "Do you two know that guy? His name was yellow, so..." Sam rubbed the back of his neck, continuing to the cave with the party. He coughed, and decided to change the subject. "Alright, we should try and get in and get out as quick as possible and as smooth as possible."
  19. Sam's brow furrowed slightly, he knew what Daeron was feeling. The party was currently on floor 1. Even if the Orc did look big and scary, the three of them could have probably taken it down. "Thanks for the help and all, buddy, but I'm pretty sure we can handle it from here." The guy was obviously fishing for compliments. He probably wanted some praise from the group, or something to that effect. Still he felt slightly anxious and expected a fight. He kept his kunais out, but held them behind his back, in case they were needed.
  20. The forest clearing opened up, into a large open field which, at the other end of it, had the cave the party were searching for. Although it may have seen like an easy straight to the cave, video game logic dictated that there would be enemies. "Keep on your guard, it's quiet. Too quiet." Sam drew two kunais and held them on two fingers, clenching his short sword tightly in his other hand. He advanced with the party, ready for a fight.
  21. Sam catches the bread and takes a bite out of it, smiling at Daeron. "Hey, thanks. Although it'd be better if it actually tasted like something." Sam chuckled to himself, his health regaining. "And don't sweat about it, it's not your fault." He finished off his bread and nodded ahead. "If you two are ready we should probably get a move on. Before long it'll be late, and we don't want to be out here then."
  22. He couldn't let them down! He'd come so far, and he'd even made it through the first fight. "Yeah, I think I can continue. J-Just try and keep them off me next time, alright?" He moved his bag around to the front, so it was easier for him to focus and use his throwing weapons. Glancing over his health he realized that he had, luckily, lost only 1 point. More than likely, it was from the fall with the wolf.
  23. Sam breathed a sigh of relief. The fight was over. He climbed to his feet, still breathing deeply and audibly. "Th-That was.. Way too close..." He stood up and stretched his back, recollecting himself. "Are you two alright? I know I took a beating, but what about you guys?" He ran a hand through his hair, steadying his breaths, checking over his equipment after he did so.
  24. He didn't know any abilities, and the wolf was already too close. Panicking, Sam threw up his shortsword in an attempt to save himself. The wolf's teeth closed around the short sword and Sam was knocked onto the ground. He tried to push the wolf off of him, but failed to do so. His eyes widened and his fear intensified. He couldn't save himself. He screamed out to his comrades, "Help me! Please help me! Hurry the hell up!"
  25. Sam's eyes widened, the second wolf coming at him. He pulled his short sword in front of him, but it didn't stop the wolf. He started breathing quickly, the wolf pinning him to the ground, it's teeth around the sword. Sam wasn't strong enough to push it off and screamed to the group. "S-Somebody help! Oh God, please help me" He continued to struggle beneath the wolf, waiting for help.
