  1. Samriel beamed as Chewie came racing towards her, but it ended in a chuckle as he tripped and thumped against her legs, nearly causing her to lose balance if she hadn't grabbed the edge of a nearby table displaying Mack's impressive wares. "See, I knew I could count on y-" Her sentence was cut off as Mack spoke and tossed bread at his familiar, who was then in the palm of his hands. Crossing her arms with a huff, the blonde muttered something along the lines of needing to get more bribe material before poking Chewie's nose and declaring, "Et tu Brutus?"

Chewing on the inside of her cheek as the hulking man spoke, the corner of her mouth couldn't help but twitch upward as she asked with a single raised eyebrow, "And how do I know you're a gentleman?" Eyes not backing down from his steel toned ones before backing down as the draft rustled her braid. Pulling her cape tight around her once more, they both exited the tent. She had to admit it didn't sound all bad, she just didn't particularly like plans suddenly changing. And wasn't entirely sure how she felt about spending the night with him, gentleman or not. "Sounds like you have quite the setup."

Glancing back at his shop, Samriel frowned thoughtfully and asked in genuine curiosity. "So...your shop is a tent....how do you lock up when you leave? What's to prevent some random nobody from wiping your shop clean? You've gotta have hundreds of thousand col worth of goods and materials in there, right?"

  2. As the seconds ticked by, Samriel felt like they were minutes, beginning to fidget under the man's gaze. At least she assumed he was looking at her. It was kind of hard to tell with the dark and mysterious hood shadowing his features like he was some plot important character. She decided that he'd either be the cool aloof protagonist or anti-hero. Seemed to work the silent type well. Didn't hurt that he was tall either. Her running inner dialogue at least helped her feel a tad less awkward, but when he finally did reply, it caused her to start slightly, eyes wide at the sound of his even voice.

Mind catching up with her ears, the shield maiden smiled at his acquiescence, nodding in acknowledgement to his layout of the quest that she had only half overheard. Lavender eyes flicking to the party invite that popped up in front of her, her finger swiped to accept and glanced at his name as it popped up on her top left under her own before offering her hand to shake. "Tomas, hm? I'm Samriel."  Resting her other hand on her hip, she looked at the slumbering NPC and huffed a breathy laugh. "Well I guess we should head out before he sleep walks away or something." Shrugging, Samriel set off towards said gates.

Before they reached it though, the blonde caught sight of a bright red headed boy that seemed about casually strolling towards the exit of the town's safe zone. At least he was until her voice rang out like the crack of a whip. "TERIK!" The boy flinched, his shoulders hunching as he looked about guiltily. Striding up to the eleven year old, Samriel sighed and prompted, "Heya. Where ya headed there buddy?"

The redhead attempted to shrug casually as he replied without meeting her eyes, "Just running an errand for Sasha..."
"Uh huh. So if I shoot her a message right now, that's what she'll say?" The boy folded with a groan and changed tactics, "I'm just going right outside the safe zone to fight some boars!" Shaking her head, her long braid waggling behind her, Samriel sighed, "By yourself? And you know that they don't just wait right outside the safe zone. You have to go find them and that means venturing further out and going further away from the safe zone and leaving yourself vulnerable. C'mon kid, I taught you guys better than that."

Glancing at Tomas and realizing that he might be annoyed by the delay she wrapped up, "Go on. Find something else to do. I'm doing a quest right now but if it turns out good, I'll be taking some of you guys out on the same quest soon. Alright?" She got an eyeroll for a reply but she'd take what she could get. Giving the boy a friendly shove in the opposite direction, Samriel said, "Go, get. I'm messaging Sasha to make sure you get home alright or we'll bring the cavalry out." His aggravated whining phased her none, at least not until he was out of earshot. Letting out a sigh, the blonde offered her quest companion an apologetic smile. "Sorry about that. Kids, right? Let's go."

  3. As Chewie passed by to a warmer spot, Samriel ran her hand along his back, mussing up his fur slightly as her eyes focused on his owner. She nodded with vague interest as he declared that he had done his crafting for the day and wondering if they were just doing small talk until the conversation took a sharp turn down a path she didn't foresee. Frozen for a moment, the blonde didn't say anything as the blacksmith proceeded to invite himself along, decide that it was going to be an overnight event and plan for them to 'crash' together at his place. All in the span of sixty seconds.

"....What?" Finally Samriel stirred to life looking rather exasperated and blindsided by the entire situation. "Whoa whoa whoa, put the axe away. Jeez..." Pushing her bangs up away from her forehead, she tried to collect her thoughts. "As nice a offer as that might sound, it also sounds literally like an excuse to get me to sleep with you, literally or figuratively." The blonde raised an eyebrow, challenging the man to contradict her. Eyes shifting to the bear cub she prompted, "Back me up here Chewie, you know him."

  4. As she awaited the other woman's reaction, Samriel was struck by a familiarity to a former guild member in the woman. More her coloration than anything but they could possibly be related in her fantasy world. But as soon as she opened her mouth the resemblance ended, though not unpleasantly. Snorting under her breath at the chosen adjective and nickname used to refer to herself, 'gorgeous' replied, "Samriel. Vale huh? Like the kind you wear or like a valley?" Might as well clear that up since they both sounded the same. The curvaceous player's flirting did nothing but vaguely amuse her, at least for now. It was pretty casual after all.

Blissfully noticing absolutely nothing abnormal about the merchant's cart or fallen wares, Sam sighed as she wandered over to where the wind was trying to whisk away some strings. Snatching them up, her eyebrows raised as she realized that they were metal strings for an instrument. Humming thoughtfully, the armored woman glanced over at Vale who was working what was given to her to her fullest advantage. Frowning more in slight envy at the easiness of which she managed to pull that off than disagreement at her methods, Samriel fingered the string before calling, "Sir, after we're done, could I have a couple feet of this string?" The man's eyes were still thoroughly glued to Vale's figure but managed to raise a hand and nod an agreement with a distracted hum. Lavender eyes rolling, she offered the other woman an amused smirk.

  5. Clearly seeing the proud look on the familiar's fuzzy visage, Samriel rolled her eyes and he'd been closer, she would've tried to (gently) push him over. Deciding she might as well get out of the cold for a minute, the blonde entered and let the tent flap close behind her, sighing in content at the warmth bottled up from the forge. At the blacksmith's question, she raised an eyebrow. "Are we stuck in a virtual reality video game?" The key was that the answer to both questions was 'yes'. Though technically he hadn't really asked. She couldn't help but huff a small chuckle under her breath at Chewie's disgruntled snuff as his owner ignored his pining.

Lavender eyes flicking from the bear cub to the fully grown bear sized man, Samriel replied, "Just doin' a quest. Was on my way to it when Sir Begs-a-Lot ran into me. Literally. Just wanted to make sure he got back home alright." She shrugged, her long blonde braid falling from her shoulder to behind her back. "I'd uh, ask you what you're doing here but,"  The shield woman gestured to his forge with a humerus smile. "Kinda obvious I guess. And you probably live here so...double pointed reason." Bah, she was rambling, why was she rambling? Time to exit stage left...  "I'll um, get out of your fur-er hair now."

  6. Another day another floor. Though Samriel had to say that this was the harshest one that she'd visited so far. She hadn't seen snow in....well if TV didn't count, then never. And this was more snow than she had ever cared to see. And she had literally only just teleported in! Though it wasn't like this was the first time she had been here, but enough time had passed that she'd forgotten about how fiercely the cold bit into a player's avatar. Shivering, the blonde pulled the bear fur trimmed cloak that was part of her armor closer around her. She had originally thought that the addition of a 'cape' was a bit showy...but now she admitted that it was actually useful. Bracing herself, Samriel began to walk through Snowfrost Town, grateful for the sturdy high boots and to the fact that while it was cold, it could be worse...there could be a blizzard going on! The town was sort of cute, looking like the front of a holiday card. But she wasn't here to enjoy the sights. There was a quest that she had on her list. She had spoken to a broker that was giving out free information to less knowledgeable players and they had mentioned the quest called Avalanche. It sounded within her capabilities she thought and so here she was. Perhaps she should've bought a sweater first though. Dang hinds- "Ooof!"

Samriel's thoughts and stride were suddenly interrupted as she was tackled by a furry creature half her size. At first the shield woman panicked, trying to bring up her menu to equip her weapon....and then she realized she was in a safe zone. "Wh-?" Before she could get out a fully formed question, a cold wet nose snuffed at her cheek, causing her to shriek at the unwanted sensation and involuntarily laughed as she was crawled on and thus tickled. "Ch-Chewie!" The blonde declared in realization before growling and attempting to heave the bear cub off of her person, or at least enough to allow her to sit upright! But the bear cub was determined, sniffing about her hips and cloak as if desperately searching for something. "Bah, you greedy bear-dog." Roughing up the fur around his neck and ears fondly, Samriel then swiped open her menu to materialize an assortment of berries from her menu into her cupped hands. Chewie's reaction was rather immediate, stuffing his muzzle into her hands with such force that it pressed them down to her lap. "Easy, easy! They're not going anywhere. ...Well except your belly."  She smiled softly down at the familiar, thinking of her dad's dog. The tender moment didn't last long as quickly finished off the snack before looking up for more as if he were starving. Rolling her eyes, Samriel not so gently pushed him off of her. "As if you don't get fed all the time."

Standing and attempting to brush the white powder from her person and not really succeeding, the blonde sighed before staring down at big and fluffy. "Well, c'mon." She motioned for the familiar to follow her as she began to walk towards a familiar large brown tent some ways away, just at the edge of the town. Lifting up a flap, Samriel popped her head in and called out, "Mack? You in? I found something of yours."

  7. After Samriel left Mack and Magda very suddenly after completing the quest Let There Be Light, she ran. It helped clear her thoughts and it was good for her to stretch her legs. Whenever she felt a twinge of anger, she just pushed herself harder to go faster. Why was she so weak? Was she just being stupid? No, she didn't need anyone else's help. If she couldn't make it on her own, she might as well be dead. That was always how she lived before, why change now? She was stronger than this. She could get strong on her own again.

But even as she told herself this, her brow remained furrowed as she ran until finally had to stop, her stamina giving out. Panting heavily and covered in a thin amount of simulated sweat, Samriel's fists closed tight as they rested on her knees, leaning forward and not bothering to look where she was or who she was around. "Stupid....bat.... Stupid....Mack..... Mierda...." The blonde panted, her long braid getting in her face as she caught her breath, the afternoon sun only being broken by a light breeze.

The blonde's peace was broken by the voice of a somewhat high pitched man with an accent. "Oh thank th' heavens you two're here!" Glancing up in surprise, Samriel saw that not only was she not alone, it wasn't just the owner of the voice that she was with. There was also another woman there, crafting a rather imposing figure in her skin tight fur suit, making her seem for all the world a cat on two legs...with a pretty impressive bosom that attention was already drawn to not for the size but for the sigil on it, though it was transparent. But none of these things truly drew her attention as much as how she carried herself. Like a person confident in her own body, proud of it and sure that she could take on the world. Blinking blankly, the healer slowly stood up straight before her attention was drawn back to the person that spoke. Who was an NPC apparently. The man was a little portly in a homey sort of way and he looked anxious and relieved at the same time as he glance between the two players. "This dur-ding-dang wind done made a mess of my goods, strewn them all over this field! There's too many for me to find just by my lonesome an I need to get back into town before the market closes! Could you two help a fella out?"

A quest window popped up in front of Samriel and she considered it for a moment, reading before her eyes glanced over at the dark beauty. Shrugging casually she said, "Might as well." Before pressing the 'accept' button and waiting to see the other woman's decision.

Before Gemini could straighten and prepare herself, Samriel launched herself at her twin, hammer clanging as she knocked square into the breastplate that Mack had given to her. A slight dent was put into the gold colored metal as her doppelganger coughed from the wind being knocked out of her. The shield woman deftly side stepped a sloppy swipe from the mirror version of Dawnbreaker and was starting to feel some confidence as she spoke, "You don't scare me. You're nothing but some stupid NPC AI that sadist cooked up. Just one more stepping stone to me getting stronger."

  9. It looked like the turtle was about to retaliate for the damage it had taken from her thorns enhancement while she was looking up and away from it, but before it could get a chance, something large and furry clipped Samriel's leg, knocking her off balance and causing her to fall over. This might have ended badly if said large and furry didn't conveniently use the turtle's head as a stepping stone on it's way to the lake water, causing a splash but mercifully not getting her wet any. "Uf..." Samriel grunted as she landed in the moist dirt before immediately trying to get to her feet, not able to appreciate the little details of the game like that there was still dirt clinging to her pants as she glanced after a very familiar looking form. "Isn't that..." It sure was. There was Chewie, happily treading water and...biting the water? Oh fish, that made sense. But where Chewie was, so also was...

But she didn't have time to finish that thought as the turtle finally freed it's head from the where the bear cub had wedged it into the ground. Taking advantage of it's confusion, Samriel swung Dawnbreaker like a one-handed golf club with a satisfied smile. "C'mon Snappy, haven't you heard the joke about the Monkey, the Bear and the Turtle by the lake?" Nodding upwards at the player and his odd companion in the tree branches before nodding back at the lake towards Chewie. When she did, the blonde finally noticed the towering redhead leaning on his axe. Jeez he certainly was everywhere, wasn't he? Samriel raised her hammer politely in greeting before refocusing on her 'opponent' who was getting increasingly agitated the more it's health bar was chipped down. Again it struck out it's neck with a surprising quickness but once again Samriel was prepared and braced her shield arm to take the hit, only ending in more pain for Mr. Snappy.

  10. The attack startled the turtle mightily, so much so that it immediately shrank it's head limbs and tail into it's shell. "You can hide but you can't run." Samriel chided under her breath. She was considering it's shell and what might be the best angle to attack from, but before she could, a voice called out above her. Startling at the sudden intrusion, the blonde glanced up with squinting eyes against the morning sunlight. Sure enough, there in the high branches of a nearby tree was a player and a.... "Monkey?"  So distracted by this appearance, Samriel was nearly too slow to react to the turtle's head shooting out where it's tail had been. Neck elongating to reach out and snap at her. Quickly bracing herself behind her shield, the blonde managed to block most of the damage, smirking as the turtle made a weird displeased hissing noise as it took damage to from the enhancement on her jewel encrusted shield. Without looking up again, the healer called up, "I'm picking dandelions. What's it look like I'm doing?" Though her tone of voice wasn't annoyed, just slightly incredulous at the question.

  11. It was morning time in Aincrad. Perhaps a much later morning than most, but Samriel still counted roughly eleven in the a.m. as 'morning'. She'd had a late breakfast so probably would hold off for food until dinner time. Which meant she had the rest of the day to fill with...anything really. But today she felt like she needed to hit something. Strolling out of the Town of Beginnings, the woman paused just as she got the warning she was leaving the City's safe zone before equipping her heavy armor, but not bothering with her hammer and shield just yet. Looking down at her body, Samriel sighed. If it was just a golden breastplate (even trimmed with rubies) and the black leather pants, she would have no qualms. Still a little odd for her, but hey, armor's armor, right? But with the white cape trimmed with bear fur not to mention the intricately carved golden fox's head with even larger rubies for eyes...the woman felt ostentatious to say the least. She didn't think any guy would put this much ridiculous detail into their craft, but boy howdy was she wrong.

Now in full armor, the blonde headed Northeast. She'd seen the forests of the first floor to a fair extent, but hadn't ever had much reason to venture to the more lake filled area. Why not today as they say. It didn't take long to reach the lake region surprisingly. Standing at a small plateau overlooking the numerous small lakes, the healer took in the view. She had to say that no matter how hellish this game was....it didn't stop it from being damn gorgeous at times. "Wow there's even a rainbow." She remarked aloud, spotting a waterfall that created the pretty prismatic effect.

Jogging down to the nearest lake with a faint smile and managing not to trip over her own feet not even once, the blonde skidded to a stop when she saw the red cursor of a monster in the form of a turtle. A fairly large turtle, but a turtle nonetheless. "Sorry buddy, but you're exp waitin' to be claimed." Samriel announced as she equipped her hammer and shield before rushing up to the aquatic creature and bringing Dawnbreaker down on it's shell with a nearly ear ringing 'thwong~' sound. Wincing, the blonde almost wished she had a bladed weapon, but perhaps her hammer would be more effective.

However whenever she fell back, Gemini had grabbed hold of Samriel's ankle, trying to pull her down along with her. But the braided blonde kicked free of her doppelganger's grasp, effectively dodging the hammer blow to her kneecap that she hadn't even seen coming. As she backpedaled to try to get some space between them, Gemini used the opportunity to get to her feet, eerie smile still on the mirror image of her face. "Ooooh, did I touch a nerve? Truth hurts, doesn't it? You can't even get the upper hand on me without inflicting the same paralysis that you felt. Does it feel good? That power? That rush? Knowing someone's helpless against you?"

Samriel shivered at the way the sinister words hit so close to home. It sounded so...sick when said aloud. But she had to focus, she couldn't let herself be distracted from her enemy!

Gemini went down to a knee as she groaned, attempting to shake her head as she was still stunned. Even in her hazed state though, the darker version of herself managed to say, "You can't though. Even now you're relying on equipment that you didn't pay for or even earn. Still surviving on pity even here, hahaha."

Samriel saw red, hackles thoroughly raised at the bait. "Shut up shut up shut up SHUT UP!"  The braided woman roughly kicked away her twin's shield so she couldn't protect herself against the next hit. Slinging her hammer with all her might, Samriel let it crack against the Gemini's face full on and knocking her back.

"Considering you can't even finish off one pitiful bat by yourself, I'd be worried if I were you. Oh wait..." Gemini cackled with malice, causing Samriel to flinch at the pointed remark and the odd sound of her own voice doing something so out of character. And how did it know about that anyway?? Wasn't this just an AI? A stupid bot? How could a mob be this intelligent? Mouth drawn into a severe line, Samriel's lavender eyes hardened as she hefted Dawnbreaker which began to glow as strongly as it's namesake as she brought it down. But not against her enemy, but the ground just in front of her, sending debris flying and causing a mini earthquake, effectively stunning her doppelgänger. "I can finish you off fine on my own." She sneered with disdain.

The Gemini smirked at her pathetic attempt to taunt. The glowing hammer was the only warning Samriel got that her enemy was about to use a Sword Art, not that even that little bit of forewarning could help her dodge it. Seeing the trajectory of the weapon though did help Samriel bring up Twilight just at the right angle to brace against the attack. Grunting against the trio of blows, Sam smirked as she saw that her shield's Thorns enhancement activated, damaging her doppelganger more than her own attack. The dark clothed woman hissed as the status effect hit her, a nasty expression looking odd on her own face. "And to think I was almost worried for a second there." The shield woman chuckled.

  16. "You should've ran while you still had the chance." Gemini mocked as she readied her weapon and shield. Samriel grimaced and did the same, Dawnbreaker and Twilight glistening in the light streaming from betwixt the jungle's canopy. The blonde glanced warily at her doppelganger's equipment, wondering if it was exactly the same as hers in every way. If so, that would definitely be a problem. They would either be here for a very long time, or a very short time. Sam wasn't exactly confident in her battle abilities just yet, still relying on the strength of her gear to get her by and not bothering to take on anything too close or higher to her own level. But an exact copy of herself? If it was as clumsy as her, then perhaps it wouldn't be so bad, but since it was an NPC, she doubted that she'd be that lucky. Still, computers were still fallible. This was a game after all. It was made to be beat. Holding up her shield and raising her war hammer, Samriel forced a smile as she goaded to build up some confidence, "You're the one that should've run." And with that, the countdown reached zero and the battle began.

  17. The man's smile became wider at her agreement and he stepped back just as a duel request popped up on her heads up display. But as she raised her hand to accept the duel, she found that it had already been accepted. And that it the parameters were set til one player's health reached zero. Expression becoming deadly serious, Samriel glanced up and demanded indignantly, "What the [censored] is this [censored]?" The menu disappeared from in front of her to give way to a count down. The smile on the man grew as a name appeared on him finally, stating that he was 'Gemini'. "Mierda..." She had heard of this before, in rumor only. The NPC's, for that was what he was, form shimmered and transformed into a darker mirror form of Samriel, smile wide and sinister.
  18. Samriel's posture didn't change as she considered his leading question. "Possibly. I'm not much for the high risk high reward bit though. No offense. What kind of magnificent rewards are we talking about?" The man's hands splayed in a sign of peace as he continued, "Rare items, unique potions and a hefty amount of col." Her skepticism giving way to curiosity, the blonde then countered, "And what would you be asking for said magnificence?"  The possible NPC straightened his humble posture as he proposed, "Nothing more than a friendly duel! Should you win, the rewards shall be yours."

"And if I lose?" Sam's eyebrow raised pointedly, wondering what was in it for him. But the man only shrugged, "I'll have gotten some entertainment and keep the rewards for myself." The young woman hummed thoughtfully before he stepped forward and extended her hand. "Do we have a deal?"  Deciding that an NPC couldn't possibly be much trouble, Samriel nodded, taking his hand in hers and giving it a firm shake. "We have a deal."

  19. Hm, if she was out hunting then that might mean she wouldn't be too receptive of some 'foreigner' or whatever they considered her just coming up and asking her questions. But it couldn't hurt too much to try. She could always run after all. The blonde first re-equipped her weapon and shield, slinging the shield over her back like a turtle and slipping the handle of her war hammer into her belt's loop. Both would be easy to reach should she catch the attention of a mob or two. Or perhaps an angry mob of amazonian women. Exiting Amazon and heading East, Sam followed the slightly worn path through the jungle. It didn't take her long before she tripped on the numerous roots and vines. Finally she stopped for a break when she came across a small clearing. Hearing the sound of something or one else crashing through the brush, the healer's hand dropped to her weapon before she saw that it was a person. A man in fact, though his form was slight.

"Hey." She greeted neutrally, her right hand casually resting on her belt close to where her weapon was hanging. Just because he wasn't a monster didn't mean he was friendly. However when she looked to see his cursor she found that he didn't have one. That would by definition make him an NPC, but he didn't have a name either. Slightly disarmed by this quandary, Samriel stared at him in bewilderment until he stated with an easy smile, "Hello there." The possible NPC walked slowly closer to her, but didn't seem to have any weapons on him. Which wasn't to say that her wariness decreased. But she was intrigued when he asked, "You seem like an adventurous person. One interested in magnificent rewards?"

  20. In between bites, the blonde turned and wondered who she should talk to if she wanted to learn more about the village. Sometimes there would be quests that would only be triggered if a player asked the right questions, or any questions at all. Eyeing the cook she considered for a moment before asking, "So why are there no men in your village?" She lucked out though, apparently the cook had a very grumpy AI program that refused to answer any questions not relating to food or pricing. Huffing, Samriel deliberately turned away from the gruff woman and went back to trying to decide who else to ask. There was probably a shaman or leader that she could speak to, but it was difficult to tell which were the important ones. It made sense that it would be the women that had the most ornamentation. Finishing her meal, Sam wiped her hands on her armor's trousers and stood to go approach a nearby hunter that seemed to be sharpening her spear. "Excuse me, I was wondering if I could speak to your leader?"  Yes the old, 'take me to your leader' trick always worked, right? Apparently in games it still did. "She is out leading a hunting party to the East." An active leader then. She respected that.

  21. Samriel wandered around the village, observing the locals and taking time to buy some late lunch. Their food seemed Indian in origin, using giant leaves as plates and having no utensils for eating other than their hands. An interesting experience that she embraced whole heartedly. "Mn...can I get...whatever your most popular dish is that's not above twenty col?" The NPC cook grunted in acknowledgement and began to gather the ingredients, cooking the meal right in front of her eyes. Having never seen the cooking process as she didn't have any way to cook for herself, the blonde watched with open curiosity. It didn't take very long, which shouldn't have surprised her given that this was a game and all. During the short wait time, she entertained herself by people watching some more. There were a few other players passing through, buying wares or simply walking through on their way to grind or do quests. The only males in the village were the players, all NPCs were women. Turning as the cook announced that her meal was ready, she paid for it and began to dig in to the rice and meat dish, a bit daintily as she was unused to not having any sort of utensil to eat with.

  22. Floor six was a lot more humid than Samriel had thought. It was one thing to read a description in a manual. 'Jungle' was a pretty loose description though. Of course she pictured a lot of plants. Possibly bugs along with some interesting flora and fauna. But the one thing she didn't take into account? The heat and humidity. "Uuuugh..." The blonde player fanned herself futilely. "Stupid virtual weather. Who wants to feel miserable in a game? Fricking masochists. Fricking sadist Kayba Akiko..." Sam muttered to herself as she prowled the town of Amazon. She had thought it funny that the name was so on the nose. Now she didn't particularly care. She did know that she wanted to return here with Magda though. She was fairly sure that she'd find the indigenous NPCs quite interesting considering their similarities. Perhaps they would accept her as their Queen!

  23. Nodding with purpose, Samriel walked side by side on the path that lead out of town with the intention of finding these caves he'd mentioned. Completely oblivious of the hell that she had saved her companion's guildmates from.

Eyes narrowing at Mack's reply that he did like her and that she wouldn't be going alone, the blonde stayed silent as she waited for him to elaborate. Upon mention of not being able to handle the heat, her mind immediately envisioned the snowy floor that his shop was located. Made sense. Just going by his looks he nearly looked he could be from Russia. If only he had an accent...

Shaking her head slightly to clear her wandering thoughts as she considered the offer, Samriel frowned slightly. The thought of the man single handedly clearing such a high leveled and tempting quest for her was...rather unappealing honestly. Her pride railed against the idea, even as pathetically leveled as she was. She wanted to be able to achieve a high enough level that she wasn't useless. That she didn't have to have others clear things for her. Shaking her head slowly and seriously, the shield woman stated aloud finally, "No." Then remembering her manners added, "Thanks though. I'm going to wait until I've grinded enough to tackle it on my own."

As a small message popped up in front of her informing that she was leaving the safe zone, Samriel quickly opened her inventory to equip her rather eye catching armor, shield and weapon.

  24. Samriel started slightly at the clatter of the gigantic weapon upon the ground but then looked at Mack with a highly unimpressed expression. "You'd live."

Between her colorful cursing, she heard the telltale shatter of a monster's death, causing her to whirl around, stumbling slightly when her own feet got crossed, but she used the wall to catch as she saw the bat's pixelated remains crumble around Mack's fist. Lavender eyes wide at the ease at which he dispatched the enemy that she'd been trying her best for however long they'd been stuck here for, the shield-woman couldn't help but feel the itch of annoyance. She wasn't even competent enough to take care of one stupid low level monster on her own.

So when the red headed man tried to make light of her frustration, all Samriel could do was barely hold her tongue as she glared at the man before agreeing with his more sensible suggestion. "Fine."

Whirling around, the blonde momentarily glanced into a wall due to the poor lighting before righting her tragectory. A fork was reached in the cave, causing her to pause before turning left down the more narrow path. Eventually she had to get down on her hands and knees to reach the place where the child was hiding. It was a little boy with straight brown hair, tears running down his chubby little cheeks. Samriel felt a tug on her heart momentarily before the reality that this was just an NPC created by a sick sadistic man with a god complex came crashing down upon her, causing a grimace.

Sighing, the healer held out a hand, which apparently activated the NPC somehow as he then looked up with a gasp. "C'mon kid. Let's get you to your mom. Or dad. Or whatever." She couldn't really remember the specifics of the end of the quest now. All she knew was that she felt cramped and smothered in this cave right now. Leading the little boy out of the narrow passage where Mack and Magda were waiting, Samriel brushed past them, hand in hand with the NPC as she lead the way towards the end quest point.

The NPC mother tearfully accepted her child back, thanking them all profusely. Once the window popped up announcing that she and Magda had completed the quest and received their rewards and experience, Samriel quickly exited it before looking away from the twins. "I'm gonna get some air, take a run maybe." Hesitating, she then forced the words out, "Thanks for the help. I'll see you guys later." She then took off running just as she said she was going to do, miraculously without tripping.
