  1. Shirien blinked at the response mentioning a sandy place. He half hung his head and half laughed as he was told to meet someone in a sandy place on this floor of all places. He simply laughed and started to look around, soon figuring out that he should head to the center of town as she suggested, that little bit of information being helpful. He raised a brow when he saw a gathering of players before long. The sheer coincidence of someone looking for a group and him finding a group lead him to approach the players and wave. "Heeey, are one of you Avalon?" He asks curiously before gesturing to his chest "I'm Shirien, by the way." He looks to their faces and tugs back his hood enough so they could see his. His brown eyes wandered from face to face until he had confirmed that he had seen a few of them before, and even one of their names.

He had overheard the latest part of the conversation as he approached, smirking as he tugged his hood forward again and said "Useless or not, get enough people and the impossible becomes possible." His mind was filled with the image of a few hundred level 1 mages killing a high leveled orc in a certain MMO. It was truly death by a thousand pin pricks. He tried to pretend the faceplant didn't happen, holding his laughs inside himself to save her the shame of his judgement. "I'm pretty new myself, never been to a sub-dungeon, so hooray for learning experiences?"

  2. Shirien was surprised when a trade request popped up in front of him from Mayuri, quickly opening it up and looking at the items in surprise, looking to her a moment as if to see if she was sure before he accepted the trade. "Oh my, thank you very much, these potions will be helpful!" She had successfully earned herself his trust with this move. If she had wanted to kill him then he wouldn't have gotten this many potions! They would just be destroyed with him if he died. He had the tact not to smirk at Mayuri questioning their direction, not blaming her one bit since he only had a book to go by. He knew less than she did certainly, he had hardly any experience. As they walked he would glance up now and then to make sure their direction was on course towards the forest. He would have hated to waste her time after all.

As she explained how her alchemy lab worked and how she just gave potions away he was surprised but pleasantly so, smiling as he said "That's just awesome, it's great that there are people like you who are willing to just help people out!" He smiled to her widely, very impressed to find such a selfless player! The more he paid attention to her the more motherly she seemed to him. She seemed to care pretty deeply for people's lives, high level and low level alike. He found himself having to still his heart and keep his eyes forward while shyly tugging his hood forward a bit. With time though he had a distraction and found his hand pointing just ahead to a section of forest with mist reaching above the treeline. "I'm going to go out on a limb and say that's the forest of wavering mists." He squinted his eyes and continues "Looks like it'll be hard to see in there..." He says in a half mumble as he drew his dagger so it was at the ready for if something jumped him in the low visibility of the mist.

    Trade Accepted!

  3. Shirien was walking around the fifth floor for the first time, his eyes wide with wonder as he scanned the sandy horizons. "This... This is an option?" He says with a hidden tone of excitement. Desert settings were his favorites whether it was anime, games, or Disney movies! He stomped his feet around a bit to test the sand and smiled up at the scorching hot sun for a bit before tugging his hood forward to help block it from burning him alive. When word of adventure reached his ear he hummed in thought while weighing his options. On one hand he could go at his own pace if he went solo, but then again power in numbers was a major advantage. Plus he hadn't even heard of a 'sub-dungeon' before so the nagging sense of curiosity in the back of his mind pushed him to move forward and investigate. He double checked his equipment to make sure he was actually ready. He drew the dagger on his hip and insured that it was indeed his newly purchased one. He was also able to see the basic leather gauntlets on his arms. It was good quality armor, but his light armor skill made it somewhat useful, even though he failed to appraise extra power from it. His mental checklist complete the hooded player with brown eyes and hair sent a reply to 'Avalon' with a private message. "Feel free to add me to the party, or tell me where you are!" Names didn't display over people's head in this game, so he had to be in a party with them or have a tracking skill to locate them

  4. With the meal consumed save for the bones he started to suck his fingers clean without a care for stares or a lack of manners. WIth his fingers finally cleaned off of their mess he stood himself up with a smile. With a hot meal in his belly his desire for a nap only increased sevenfold. Not wishing to delay the inevitable he heads upstairs to his usual room and removed his heavier clothing, tossing it aside in the room and flopping onto his bed for a nice nap. He shut his eyes tightly and happily waited for tomorrow in the knowledge he had completed an encounter, got a skill, and didn't explode after some kind of weird 'only a fool fights himself' reversal where killing Gemini would in turn kill him. He tried not to think about that one as best as his mind could.

  5. He walked towards his usual cheap tavern with okay food but cruddy beds. He had his priorities at least and with him finally adventuring around he could afford to spend some money now and then. Today he happily took a seat at the tavern's many tables and waited for the virtual waitress. He ordered up some food and smile when it was set in front of him despite the Col draining from him. Today he was looking at some delicious ribs covered in sauce. His belly rumbled just looking at it so he didn't waste any time in tearing it apart bone by bone and munching up the simple but delicious meal as if he hadn't eaten for days. He had always been a big eater but didn't have the patience for complex meals when he could make a sandwich or cook meat in a quarter of the time.

  6. Naturally he headed for the teleporter since his job was done. He didn't feel like looking around more than he had earlier just today when he could just excuse himself for a good sleep since he had achieved his goal and then a bit. It wasn't a stupendous achievement but he had a feeling his level had gone up a smidge. How much was something he would worry about tomorrow morning when he wasn't lazy and wanting to not have an excuse to keep doing stuff. Standing on the teleport pad he moved down to the first floor. It wasn't exciting but it was safe and big, meaning he wouldn't have to deal with a huge influx of players with ambition or the like to try and swindle him or bother him.

  7. While walking into town he figured he should give his new skill a test run. He opened his menus and checked the skill, making sure it was usable before he looked into it a bit more. "Hm... Easier to hit things, eh?" he takes a deep breath and tries to go through the actions indicated by the skill. With his eyes wide he noticed a few differences. It was just a moment, but it felt like time had slowed. He distinctly noticed torch animations and people's walking slowing down just enough that he could take advantage. He grinned as the skill's usage became apparent to him, making him chuckle as he let it go onto cooldown. He didn't regret what he had gotten whatever the case. While trying to figure out different uses for the skill he approached the center of Amazon.

  8. Shirien glanced up at the sky and figured it was about time he headed back into town and lower in the floors. Adventure was adventure but he was adventured out for one day in his humble opinion. With his decision made he turned towards town and the safety of being invincible thanks to the field effect in towns and such. He momentarily wondered how PKers would sleep alright when safezones become forbidden to them. He considered all the strange and regularly unexplored areas that an orange player could hang up a hammock for example during his walk.

    Nothing gained

  9. Shirien watched his healthbar warily due to the lowness for some time before he felt comfortable exploring more. Gambling wasn't a good idea he figured since his life was on the line. If this had been a proper RPG without a death sentence waiting for him at the end he likely would have prolonged things even longer. It was what it was, however, and he would abide by it. He had little other choice as long as the log out button was blank. Honestly he was more pissed off that he left the space there than that it didn't work. "At least remove the button entirely you troll..." He says in a mutter to Kayaba before glancing around for items to snag. Before long he happened upon a shining rock hiding in the ground, making him grin as he reaches down and pull it free from the ground. He quickly noticed some ore embedded inside it and threw it into his inventory for certain.

  10. Well, it would be a good idea to read the tutorials!

That aside I'm looking at what I assume is your journal and it needs to be updated. Your post number makes me think a lot of RPs aren't listed, and you have no equipment or skills listed.

If I was in your shoes I'd probably start over or claim I was mugged back into starter gear :D Your level is based on SP and you get SP for finishing threads.

  11. Shirien took a deep breath as he was left the victor of the day, watching his health regenerate now that he was out of combat. He had gotten some minor rewards from the victory but now he wanted to do some gathering. There was plenty of daylight left, there would be zero harm in him attempting to find some decent materials for him to use. If anything it would make him better prepared for the next time he got in a tough fight in some sense or another. He was surprised by his luck however as he immediatly found something useful, smiling as he threw it into his inventory for after this whole ordeal. Perhaps he could use it in his shop he wondered to himself.

  12. Shirien grit his teeth as the battle reached its finale, making him impatient as he charged forward and shanked the Gemini as its own knife as well stabbed into him. Shirien survived the encounter, the Gemini didn't. It's body shattered apart and Shirien was left the sole owner of his face once more! He grinned happily as he started to look over the various rewards given to him for beating the NPC, taking a deep breath to calm his nerves.

  13. Shirien blinked as the NPC suddenly changed strategy, charging right back him and turning on its heel with a dramatic spin. Shirien felt the knife impact him in the back to his dismay and he glared back at the creature with irritation. "Okay, that's enough goofing around." He says with a mutter while pulling himself free of the dagger and trying to cut back for real this time. Naturally the NPC had moved away by then, making him sigh in frustration that he had been lazy enough to let himself get so low in health.

    Action: Very Critical Hit!

  14. Shirien glanced up at the sky through the foliage, considering what he'd do with the rest of his day after he finished off the Gemini. For now the studying was decently entertaining but after this he would probably want to just have a nap or eat something and then nap. Both seemed like good plans to his mind as he blinked and mischievously snagged the faker's arm, holding tight with a smirk as the dagger failed to connect. The creature tugged itself free and backed away which made Shirien grin, doubting he'd ever do anything close to that bold against a real player. He considered that perhaps NPC reaction times were lowered.

    Action: None

    Gemini: 2/12 HP | 1/3 Energy <-2 +1>

  15. Shirien watched and waited while studying the movements of the NPC. It was worthwhile study since he hadn't actually seen a dagger using enemy yet. The form, the technique, the tightness of their grip, every scrap of information would likely be required against more threatening foes he figured. This momentary distraction however cost Shirien a hitpoint when the Gemini lunged forward, Shirien mentally recording that little bit of strategy for later use. If nothing else, this NPC could only do things he could, meaning that anything it did was something that was suited for his virtual body to mimic. Copying the copy cat, he found it hilarious despite the cut across his cheek!

    [ID# 58168][BD: 6][MD 8]

    Shirien: 6/12 HP <-1>| 3/3 Energy <+1>
    Action: Restore Energy

    Gemini: 2/12 HP | 1/3 Energy <-1 +1>
    Action: Basic Attack

  16. With the lack of threat in Shirien's mind he waited for the NPC to try again, this time keeping his eyes on the enemy's weapon as the Gemini charged forward with killing intent, only to stumble on the same branch he had! Shirien lifts his dagger high and glares at the face stealing creature, letting it know he could have ended the fight then and there if he wasn't mildly amused by their fumble. "Come on~ At least let me kill you stylishly or something. That is just sad." Mocks the original holder of the stolen appearance.

    Gemini: 2/12 HP | 1/3 Energy <-2 +1>

  17. It didn't take a genius to figure out that Shirien's strategy wasn't going to work. He himself wasn't expecting the NPC to pull out any amazing tricks to defeat him or even put up a good fight. The NPC however was looking for an opening as if its life depended on it. Soon though it saw the opening it was looking for. It lunged forward and landed a very clear stab into where Shirien's virtual heart would be, making the player gasp in shock from the uncomfy sensations going through him and the slight drop in hitpoints. It was a little more substantial than last time but not a true threat. He swung with his dagger to try and go for the kill but the NPC backed away after its stab smartly. "Well. This fight was kinda... underwhelming, but I'll survive. That's the important thing."

    Gemini: 2/12 HP | 1/3 Energy <-1 +1>
    Action: Very Crtical Hit!

  18. With a dramatic sigh and his limbs going slightly limp Shirien starts to haphazardly swing his dagger in the direction of the NPC. He suddenly felt very bored with the whole situation. The slightest slash would kill the NPC in his image but he himself would require many many cuts to get to the same level of health. He would occasionally double check in the corner of his vision to watch out for an illusion status effect or a delayed damage mechanic only for nothing to change. Gemini himself however knew their health situation and viewed the lazy swings as a real threat, acting defensively for the most part aside from the odd slash which Shirien would sidestep.

    Action: Miss!

  19. Shirien gasped as the back of his foot hit a branch and he fell onto his back. The NPC saw this opening and immediately jumped up, landing atop Shirien and jabbing its dagger into the prone player, making his eyes shoot wide and towards his own healthbar. He waited for the enhancement on his dagger to kick in and cause him some serious damage that never came. Slowly but surely it started to dawn on him what the book meant by them getting stronger as he got stronger. It was displaying the same level of weak damage he could expect from himself. The measly two hitpoints from his bar a testament to how frail Shirien truly was. That just pissed him off. Shirien stared down at the copy of himself straddling his hips, an image he never even considered a possibility, and slashed towards the NPC's neck, barely skimming it as it swiftly backed off and took another huge drop in HP into the red. "Man, I almost feel bad... I am sooooo weak." He says with a sigh while scratching his head. Any sense of fear or worry he had was extinguished.

    [ID# 58164][BD: 7][MD: 9]

    Gemini: 2/12 HP <-5> | 1/3 Energy <-1 +1>
    Action: Critical Basic Attack

  20. With the shock lifting from his mind Shirien grit his teeth and clenched his fist around his dagger tightly before stabbing forward with the dagger in his hand. The blade grazed across the NPC's virtual flesh and knocked its HP down a peg. He felt a sense of pride but it was quickly shoved aside when the NPC moved forward with a flurry of slashes! One part of Shirien's mind was trying to see how an NPC would wield a dagger opposed to him, and another focusing on not getting shanked anytime soon. It was lucky for him the NPC wasn't learning his movements quick enough to retaliate just yet or he would be worried!

  21. With a hint of frustration for being tricked even while aware he held his dagger high and waited for the duel to start, raising a brow when he noticed the supposed player suddenly change before his eyes into a mirror reflection of himself! Everything from the items to his face matched up to his dismay. "Waitwhat?" He says quickly as the timer ticks down and he barely gets his mind in place again. He quickly raises his dagger and jumps back as the Gemini revealed slashed forward! It was an easy dodge for Shirien despite his distraction, and when he stabbed forward in turn the Gemini seemed to have trouble dodging but succeeded unfortunately.

    [ID# 58161][BD: 5][MD: 2]

    Shirien: 12/12 HP | 2/3 Energy <-2 +1>
    Action: Miss!

    Gemini: 12/12 HP | 2/3 Energy <-2 +1>
    Action: Miss!

  22. As the apparent player got closer he noted the icon was green so he relaxed his guard for the moment but refused to put his dagger away. Before long they were greeting him and saying "Hey there, I'm bored, what do you say to a duel?" The mystery man started going through menus and sure enough a duel invite was floating in front of Shirien. For a second he contemplated what to say but then figured out what was going on based on what he read. There was the small chance it was just a PK pretending to be Gemini for a free kill, but the duel request itself didn't say a death duel so he'd risk it. He raised his hand and hit the accept button. As the button was pushed down however the options instantly changed to a death duel!

  23. He began his search on the outskirts of the capital, choosing to search the vicinity before he would wander out too far. He didn't feel comfortable heading too deep into the wilderness just yet. Especially when he had no map or knowledge about the types of monsters that regularly spawned there. Soon though he saw a player in the distance which made him raise an eyebrow, noting that they were starting to walk towards Shirien. Feeling suspicious he draws his dagger while keeping it out of sight, wondering what their intent was for the moment and if they were a PK or not. For the moment his icon was too far away to make out through all the green present on this floor. For now he waited.

  24. It didn't take long for him to leave the floor he was on and arrive on the sixth thanks to the ease of transport granted to him via the teleporter in each capital. Before he knew it and with a flash of light he was beamed straight up to the jungle floor. He took a moment glancing around and noting why the town was named Amazon. There were many NPC women around and about going through the usual NPC routines, albeit seeming more tribal than the other floors that were closer to medieval in his mind. He shrugged it off fairly quickly however since staring at NPCs wasn't his goal for today, it was to fight a monster and beat it. First however he would have to find it, and so he began his search proper.
