  1. In the middle of the thick layers of trees and tropical flora stood a teenage boy, stumbling blindly through the pouring rain, makung it extremely challenging to see anything ahead.  As the heavy raindrops hit his skin, he felt as if he was being stabbed by millions of little knives or swords. It hurted. Tanoshi himself had never been a fan of rain, rain was wet, it got people sick, rain also had an immense amount of germ along with bacteria going alongside them. Gross, he would say. Along the muddy path, every steps were difficult for him, it was also annoying and filthy. He bit his lips wondering about the distance between him and the nearest settlement, Tanoshi just wanted to get himself a place in the inn, lying comfortable on a bed and drink the water from a coconut. If he didn't move faster, the rain might get worse. In fact, it got worse... The wind was shrieking, a creepy sound he heard, it felt as if a woman, or someone was laughing in the rain, a mystical voice, inviting the boy to go deeper...

Had someone died from a storm so far?

So far, the only way to die in this game had been having your HP dropped to 0. The storm didn't seem to reduce his HP though so he might as well just sleep right there and ignore this stupid storm. That was such a risky thought he had. As he moved, the rain was flowing into his mouth. He spit it out immediately, it felt as if he was tasting mud with some water in it. Why must the game be so real?! He hated it. Not only was the taste but also the scent of possible animals' droppings was discomforting him. He didn't know that mobs do in fact, answer the call of nature. He reached for the trees, treading alongside them. Soon, he noticed something, a temple not so far in the distance. If he was to guess, he would believe that it was some sort of dungeon, or maybe it would be a quest location. A grin of satisfaction formed on his face as he made his way for the building.

  2. His little gorgeous daydream was soon wrecked by a slight punch to his shoulder, dragging him back to the harsh reality. That he wad in this forest to perform a quest that Vanessa told him that was very beneficial and yet, he hadn't gotten to learn about the details of the quest. Everything that the girl told him was asking him to get himself an armor that provided good defense and a potion of immolation. Why though? Would they make this quest easier? He hoped so. He had costed a fair amount of materials and Col buying those just to come here with Vanessa today.

"Ey, what's wrong Tanuki?! I've been asking if you were readied for this!"

The boy widened his eyes and blinked a few times. She did? He didn't remember hearing her saying anything along those lines. Maybe because he was busy daydreaming... The boy turned to Vanessa and smiled, saying:

    "Didn't hear ya!"

  3. Why was she telling him this all of a sudden? He didn't interrupt her though, wanting to listen to the rest of her story. Maybe she was trying to tell him that Hiroto's death wasn't something he should fear about and that he should be braver? Her story was interesting though, this woman must had seen a lot in her lifetime. She wasn't a psycho, she was just another woman. Someone shouldn't had endured that much misery. Somewhere deep down, Kohiro, which was his real name, empathized this woman. He understood the feeling of being locked in a cage, not being able to do what he wanted and what he truly loved. However, Violet had killed people, why? He couldn't understand it and maybe he would never understand it. Despite all of her actions back in the real world, she could still be a good person, killers weren't always bad.

He wanted to say that he felt sorry for her, but she definitely didn't want someone to pity her. Instead, he just looked down on the solid ground and kept on listening.

Though, the silence didn't last on for long...

It was broken by a series of hand-clapping.

A player dressing all black with only his hair being red approached them, holding his one-handed sword. However, the important thing was his cursor, all orange. An implication that he must had killed someone? Seeing that, Tanoshi immediately drew his sword, holding it, looking at the man. The Red Player was having bloodlust in his eyes, wanting to kill both Violet and Tanoshi, taking their items.

  4. It's so beautiful isn't it?

Tanoshi told himself while he was observing the tremendotous woodland. It seemed as if he was alone, in this forest, enjoying every single soothing breeze that blew through him. With every breezes that came, his soul got calmer and calmer.

    So comfortable...

His visions went blurry, all dark. Though, he could still feel the warm hug of Mother Nature, the scents of the flora, the beautiful flowers. He had actually gone to a forest once, with Hiroto during the camping trip of the school. Despite having seen a real forest, this forest was still a lot more remarkable. It woupd be impossible to re-create something like this in the real world.

He felt as if someone was calling for him, someone, maybe a woman. With a voice as sweet as the angel of the sky, her serene voice was calling for him. He felt at ease.

    "Ready?"

    "Yes"

Tanoshi told the voice. Right after that, he felt as if he was being tossed through the sky, through the branches and leaves of the trees. He saw it all from up high, the beauty of the forest.

  5. "Ready?"

Vanessa asked the boy that was concentrating on the scenery around him, his eyes being gripped by the wilderness. She chuckled and shook him a bit, but he didn't even bother. She raised an eyebrow, a bit impatient with the boy so she clenched her hands, creating a fist and lightly gave the boy a punch in the shoulder. No matter how hard he hit him, he wouldn't lose his HP anyways, they were both in a Safe Zone: Krycim. The first settlement of the floor, inhabited by wild people, commonly known as Amazonians, this was a possible reference of the Amazon Forest in real life, burnt badly in the year of 2019, gladly, parts of it had been recovered as of now.

Vanessa hoped that one day, Earth could be as green a the scenery on Floor 6 of the game. Wishing though, definitely wouldn't have a big impact, she would need to do it herself. Vanessa swore that once she get out of this place, she would plant a whole forest, raising money for forest-saving campaigns. This was something politicians should truly focus in.

  7. Tanoshi slowly looked up, his grey eyes making eye contact with those of the girl. He felt a bit awkward, the girl looked gorgeous, for one moment, he felt as if he was looking at an anime character or something. She just seemed too pretty to be true. Along with that, she was wearing wedding garments, a modified version of it of some sort which had some sort of effect in enhancing her beauty.

"My name is Tanoshi, Tanoshi as in "fun", it really is a pleasure to meet you, Raina! And....the reason that I bumped into you was in fact, I closed my eyes while I was running to test my awareness of my surroundings when I'm blinded..."

He didn't really know this girl, maybe she would be one of the hot-headed types, maybe after hearing what he just said, she would shout at him, the worst scenario, killing him as he wasn't in the safe zone. What am I thinking? Who would kill others because of a simple accident? In fact, there are people like that...but this girl looks nice, I hope she is nice...

  8. He kept on running and running and there were times that he even tried to close his eyes to test his awareness of the surroundings. Turned out, that idea was foolish. As the boy was running through the woods blindly, he stumbled and fell. It wasn't a tree or something, he feared that it could be a monster...  As he hit that particular object, he was knocked prone to the dirt ground, rolling on it, causing him to lose a few digits of HP...

Then, he heard an angelic voice, which would definitely not belong to a monster so he slowly opened his eyes, feeling guilty because he hit the player accidentally. Upon seeing the player, he looked down, not being able to look at her. He was the one hitting her and yet, she was the one apologizing.

    Finally, he spoke up.

"I'M TRULY SORRY! IT WAS MY FAULT! I WAS RUNNING CARELESSLY AND DIDN'T PAY ATTENTION!"

Okay so he was a bit overreacting when he shouted as means of apologizing, but he hoped that she get the idea...

  9. Tanoshi was delighted that he had met such a good guy. There were people in Sword Art Online that would try to buy your trust and then assassinate you for whatever you have on your body. However, Tanoshi could feel that this guy was different than many other players, from the way he talked to the way he acted, so Tanoshi could consider him reliable and trustworthy, despite that they had just met each other.

"A friend? That really sounds nice. He must be a really good person! Also, I would truly appreciate it if you can find me one. Oh and you have a shop? That's nice, will pay a visit sometimes."

Tanoshi gave Solei a grin, as a reply to his childish smile. As he was walking, he tried to guess how old the guy was in real life, as he looked pretty young, and somewhat cute, could be one or two years older than him? Or maybe younger...?

After some time walking, both of them had completely left the safe protection of the city and into the training fields. Tanoshi watched his steps closely, being on high cautious for materials.

  10. A beam of light struck down the stone teleportation pad as two figures arrived. One standing at roughly 5'7'', a boy whose hair had the color of the lavender. His hair going long, down to his shoulder, it used to be longer than this but he cut it. His gray eyes darting around the place, trying to get a sense of where he was. He called himself "Tanoshi". Then, the second figure, a woman standing a bit taller than the boy, she had a punky choice of outfit, her red hair was even shaved to an undercut, she was another friend of Tanoshi, whom he met on his first day here. The girl was named Vanessa, a rank 3 blacksmith.

"Well well...would you look at that!"

Tanoshi spoke up after his eyes have been observing for a while.

    "Nice eco-system this place has!"

All of the floors other than floor 1 seemed to have a special theme. That was what made each floor special. If the forests on floor 1 were big, he would believe that those on this floor would be bigger as the floor was a whole rainforest itself. He took a moment to appreciate that he chose to come here, it just felt so peaceful... However, with all those trees reaching the clouds and their thick roots, getting lost was a possibility. Moreover, PKers would have a good chance of ambushing players on floor six.

Anyways, Tanoshi was here for his quest.

  11. He felt jealous by hearing different people talking about their fathers... He had never got on well with his own. To many people, his father was a successful businessman, a wise man, bla bla bla. However, they never saw his other side. He was cold toward his own family, too busy for work that his children barely get to see him, Tanoshi had always believed that someone like his father wasn't worthy of becoming a father. There were times that he actually thought it would be better if he never got out of this game...

Solei's explanation finally begun. Throughout the whole commentary, the boy carefully listened, he thought that this game was all about swords, armors, and shields but it turned out to be false. Supporting items, in fact, do exist and they would make his life a lot easier. He should really get a pair of gloves like Solei as this wasn't his only gathering quest, he'd got many more along the way. Then, he was surprised by how Solei just bent down and a material appeared in his hand, impressive!

    "Where do you get those?!"

Upon asking the question, he bent down as well, trying to see if the magic worked.

Yes, the magic really worked. As he reached for the ground, a piece of material appeared in his hand.

  12. Tanoshi was surprised as a slight smile formed on the face of the girl. He figured that she wasn't bad at all, anyways, her cursor wasn't orange. As she ventured further to find materials, Tanoshi was doing the same as well, hoping that they could help him in the long run. Then, Violet asked him about his reason for being a level 1 player... Talking about this topic kinda brought back bad memories to Tanoshi, memories that he had always tried to abandon but they kept coming back to haunt him in his sleep, his dream. In a sense, he was scared, but he wasn't actually scared, he didn't use to fear this game...the word that could be used here was "shock".

"Well on the first day of the game, I was all like...This game is such a nice way to escape reality! Even after the developer appeared and announced that we were trapped, I still believed this game is perfect for me... Then, someone really close, really important to me was killed during our hunting trip. Afterward, I don't know but I just kinda don't want to go out anymore..."

  13. "It's Tanoshi sir!"

With anyone capable of understanding Japanese, they would definitely understand that Tanoshi meant fun. The reason that he chose this username was a bit personal. Right after that, he made his way toward the door of the blacksmith's, hoping that one day his little store could be as developed as this one. Thinking would never make the dream work, he must craft for it! He swore that he would try his best crafting better equipment when he was back from this quest.

Then, he gave Griswold a goodbye bowed, telling him one last thing:

"See you around, I hope that your store will keep growing!"

Right after that, the boy slowly walked out of the shop and gently closed the door behind him, glad because he met such a nice blacksmith.

  14. Tanoshi widened his eyes, he just couldn't believe what the man just told him. He seemed to be a lot nicer than how his appearance suggested. The boy smiled and bowed down to Griswold as a way of saying thank you.

"Thank you very much! I will definitely repay you with something!"

Then, Tanoshi opened his menu, scrolling through his materials, he was able to get 3 of them. He should be collecting more of them soon... Then, he carefully handed the materials to the man, taking a look at the armor.

"A perfect craft....with just three materials....thank you so much sir....!"

  15. The door of the blacksmith's slightly creaked and was opened completely by an adolescent standing 5'7'' tall. Tanoshi scanned his eyes around the place, it seemed that this guy was a lot more experienced than Tanoshi was in the crafting field. Vanessa told him to buy an armor here so he figured that this place would provide good quality items.

    "Hello?"

He said, wanting to get the attention of the muscular blacksmith. Oh my... he looked more like a true blacksmith than Tanoshi. He scratched the back of his head, figuring that the man was busy at that moment so he decided to take a look around the store.

"Do you have any strong armors?"

  16. Tanoshi gently smiled as he received his items, the second thing that he would need and then he was done with the preparing stage. Then, as the woman asked for his name to write in her repertoire, he raised an eyebrow not knowing what would that be used for but it wouldn't hurt, it was just his username and if he could form some kind of "friendship" with this place, maybe it would help him long-term in the future as he found this place pretty good, this wouldn't be his final visit.

"Ah, you can call me Tanoshi beauty. It's a gorgeous store you have here..."

  17. Tanoshi just remained silent as they did their jobs, not wanting to disturb them. Just then, as he saw smoke came flying out of a room, taking over the whole place, he flinched as he thought it was a fire. However, the two girls seemed to be fine with it so he just ignored it for the time-being. The smoke flew to him, suffocating the boy which got him coughing a few times. He finally knew who the "culprit" was. A woman with black hair reaching her shoulders, a strong smoker, Tanoshi could sense a wealthy aura coming from the woman. That must be the Mistress the girls were talking about. As the woman saw him, she made a few strange comments which he didn't understand the intention of. Maybe she was flirting with him? He would just ignore it.

    "Thank you"

Tanoshi said as Moro came back with the potions he required. He opened up the Transaction Window and paid 600 Col for the potions.

  18. Tanoshi was surprised by the sudden appearance of two naughty little girls. They were so identical enough that Tanoshi guessed they were sisters. Twin sisters. Poor girls, being stucked in this dead game. He didn't think that there would be people this young in the game, they couldn't be NPCs as they weren't that smart. Though, their movements got him a bit dizzy. He was impressed that two little girls actually owned this shop. Then, they referred something about The Mistress, which might imply that the owner was someone else.

After several seconds, he told them to give him the potions that Vanessa advised him of buying.

"May I have two Rank 1 Immolation Potions please?"

  19. Tanoshi recently heard about a quest on floor 6 and he was excited to take it. However, he was just level 3 and the boy hadn't had the power required to take on this quest, so he decided to buff himself up with potions and equipment. It was recently that he heard about The Black Odyssey, a Merchant Shop with good quality so he decided to pay it a visit.

Upon entering the shop, he was impressed by the layouts of it. He walked around and took a look at all the different items and potions. Then he approached the person that seemed to be the shopkeeper.

  20. Tanoshi woke up and began his first day working as a blacksmith. He put his working clothes on and set the shop's status to "Open" but he doubt that anyone would be visiting today so he just sat at his workspace, crafting new weapons. He wished that he could make more than just weapons, but he was just a Beginner so he needed to keep trying. He believed that in no time, he would master the art of Blacksmithing. The boy took an iron piece out and began to work on it, giving it shape. He remembered the instructions given to him by the Master Blacksmith NPC and followed it closely, working as carefully as he could.

As you approach the shop, you noticed a board hanging on the door:

Upon entering the blacksmith's, customers are greeted by the messy layouts of the objects with materials and tools frequently lying on the ground. In his small workshop, Tanoshi blocked almost the lights coming from outside to bring a mystery atmosphere to his shop. All around the shop, weapons and armors that Tanoshi have crafted so far are left hanging for customers to view. In the corner stood Tanoshi's little workspace, that is where Tanoshi spends most his time in the shop, sitting at the table crafting materials. There are times that he could be seen lying on the floor, passing out due to exhaustion. Right on the working table is a shelf where Tanoshi places his materials and tools. There are times that he clumsily drop the materials and tools, scattering them all over the ground, during times like these, he would rarely clean up.
