  2. Anger by the facts that both the nick she got on Sayori had healed away, her next attack as avoided and that Sayori managed to land a blow on it the Gemini spun on her heels and lunged out for Sayori.
The speed and ferocity of the attack caught Sayori of guard and the blow slipped past her defences, again her armour to the worst of it leaving Sayori with only a small cut on her side to show for it.

Sayori feeling more confident with herself now pressed the attack, hoping to capitalise on the opening she saw as the Gemini's back was turned towards her. She shot forward and struck a quick grazing blow aimed the back of the Gemini's shoulders, the blow struck true but instead of connecting with the back it connected with the front of the Gemini's shoulders, as the Gemini's own blow connect with her side.

They both grunted and stepped back as they kept probing for a opening to strike again.

  3. Sayori her armour glowed for a little as the long shallow cut on her back closed up again as the armour's enhancements activated as Sayori just took damage from the Gemini's attack. Feeling a bit of increase of confidence as she felt the cut on her back healing. Sayori took a deep breath as she recalled the lessons of her Uncle Juroh about not letting her emotions take control of her. Feeling herself to be a bit calmed she waited for the Gemini to strike out first.

The Gemini growled as the damage it had done to Sayori got healed away and lunged out with frustration. The attack was easy to spot and Sayori simply stepped aside and slashed her sword horizontally across the stomach of the Gemini. Feeling the blade leaving a cut across her abdomen the Gemini growled in pain and with frustration.

Sayori smirked as she felt her blade connect and turned around to face the Gemini again "That one was for Kaito. The next one is for myself." The boost to her confidence helped Sayori slip back into her normal calm demeanour. Sayori lowered herself a bit by sinking through her knees, her free hand was held out in front of her so she could us the gauntlet as a improvised shield and her sword was held horizontally so its point was aimed at the Gemini.

  4. Sayori let out a roar as she surged forward swinging her blade sideways at the Gemini. As she poured her anger and frustrations into the blow, the Gemini had to act quickly to avoid getting hit and managed to catch the strike on her sword, deflecting it away from itself. Sayori didn't relent as she just turned around to bring her sword around again, hoping to strike the smirk of the Gemini's face.

Gemini quickly capitalised on the opening she saw Sayori create with her aggressive blow and side stepped as she parried the blow. As Sayori shot past it the Gemini brought its sword down with a downward strike grazing Sayori over her back.

The armour took the worst of the blow, but there was still a long shallow cut left over Sayori's back. Sayori grunted as she turned around to face her opponent again, the fact that she got struck by the Gemini only seemed to aggravate her rising temper more.

The Gemini spoke up again "If you can't keep yourself out of harms way, its no wonder you failed to keep him alive." The Gemini chuckled a little as it obviously enjoyed getting a rise out of Sayori.

  5. Sayori growled with barely restrained anger at the jabbing remark the Gemini made and lashed out in anger at her enemy. Both with her sword and her words "You don't get to speak his name!" Of course as Sayori lost her cool, so went just about everything she knew on sword fighting as the blow just sailed through the air harmlessly. The fact that her strike didn't come anywhere close to hitting its target only added to the growing frustration in Sayori. Sayori had a very aggressive stance as she was breathing heavily, her face showing the barely contained rage that burned within her. As the Gemini circled around her, Sayori kept turning to face her opponent.

The Gemini feeling a bit overconfident hanged back a little before lashing out with her own strike aimed at Sayori, who simply deflected the blow with her gauntlet. "Did I hit a snare there, you really liked him didn't you? So why did you let him die then Sayori-san." Despite its bow being deflected by Sayori, the Gemini kept up its needling remarks aimed at Sayori, clearly not caring to much if she missed as she kept a calm collected stance, in sharp contrast to the aggressive stance of Sayori, as she circled her opponent.

  6. Sayori smiled as she walked with Yuki. As they past where they initially met each other she glanced up at the outcropping she had been sitting for most of the morning and closed her eyes for a moment as she recalled the song she was singing in her head. After that brief moment she walked on again and kept her eyes on the road ahead as she spoke with Yuki.

"I wouldn't say I'm completely without experience when it comes to using a sword, though I must admit I haven't been up to much the past two years I've been in Aincrad." She sighed a little as she felt a slight tang of guilt about having been sitting around whilst others had been risking their lives to get everyone freed from this game. She took a deep breath as she pushed the feelings of guilt away again "And I would be happy to fight with you Yuki-san, you seem like you a kind and fun person to be around and I could do with new friends."

Sayori laughed a little at Azalea's remark and nodded in response "You really are one tough little girl, just know when you need to avoid getting into a fight though." She leaned closer to Azalea as they walked "Trust me on that, sometimes you'll come into a fight with someone or something you can't win, no matter how hard you try." She offered the girl a friendly smile as she recalled the many heated arguments she had with her father, one of the few people she knew who she dared to call more bullheaded then herself.

  7. Sayori was going through her inventory as she looked up how much money she had to spend, whilst at the same time deciding on what to not buy if she could only afford one of the things she came in for. As she was a bit lost to her own thoughts, she didn't get everything Griswold said. As Griswold move about laying things on the counter Sayori studied the items for a moment, a slight feeling of dread coming over her as she likely had to decide what to buy, assuming she could afford one of these obviously high quality items.

She shook her head a little to clear her mind as she focused her attention on Griswold again "Uhm, so what would it all cost then?" She spoke with a calm voice as she looked at the three pieces of equipment on the counter. Without really thinking about it she reached out and picked the sword and shield up, getting a feel for their weight and to just give them an inspection.

  8. Sayori blinked a bit as the heavy Scottish accent in the voice of Griswold threw her of. She softly repeated the words to herself a bit as she tried to recall the conversation she heard her father have with her paternal grandparents. After a moment her head managed to get on board with the Scottish tongue again "Sorry about that, been a while since I've heard Scottish" She offered a slight smile "And I'm looking for a better sword and a shield to go with it. Leaving the hand open, seems to be a bit of a waste." She chuckled a little as she looked at Griswold.

  9. Sayori pushed the door to the shop open. Her pink hair was clinging to her face and neck as she had been sweating a little due to the sweltering heat the 9th Floor had. Somehow Sayori had hoped inside the smithy would have been a bit cooler, but to no avail it wasn't any cooler. She closed the door behind herself and spoke up "Hello, anyone in?" As she waited for an answer she started browsing through what the shop had on display. When ever she came across a shield or one handed sword she would pick them up for a moment, to get a feel for them in her hands before carefully putting them back in place again.

  10. Sayori took deep calming breaths as she crossed the narrow land bridge towards the island. As she stepped onto the island she looked around as she searched for the figure as she made her way further into the small island's centre. "Hello? Anyone here?" Her voice echoed a little in the clearing formed by the lake.

Just as Sayori was about to turn around and leave again she heard something behind her and turned towards the source of it. To her surprise she saw herself charging at her and swinging a blade at her. Sayori tried to dodge out of the way, but she wasn't fast enough to avoid getting hit, luckily for her the fact that she turned around a threw the strike off enough that even as the Gemini tried to change the direction of the blow it struck nothing but air.

Sayori shifted her stance as she focused her attention on her opponent which appeared to be herself. She shook her head a little as she kept her mind focused.

Gemini smirked as her blow went wide and spoke up "My my, you are a lucky one. We can't say the same of Kaito-san, now can we?"

  11. Sayori unsheathed her blade and looked at it for a moment as she softly whispered under her breath "I won't break our promise Kaito-chan." With those words said she fell into silent determination as she went out of the city of Krycim. She brought the co-ordinates up and started making her way there. She took a fairly slow, but safe approach as she did her best to avoid getting the attention of the floor's monsters as she didn't think she could take them on just yet on her own.

As she travelled through the jungle floor she occasionally used her sword to cut her way through some of the undergrowth and she simply allowed herself for the first time since she had realised she was stuck here to simply enjoy the sights Aincrad had to offer. That gave her some inspiration for a song, but she just committed that to memory for now. As now wasn't time to start writing songs or making music.

After a few hours of walking she came onto a small clearing dominated by a lake with a island in the middle of it. She could see the figure standing in the distance on the island. Sayori took a moment to look for a way towards the island and started walking there once she found it. Once she got to the small narrow land bridge leading to the island she paused as she mentally prepared herself for what was to come.

  12. Sayori shook her head a little and went to walk next to Yuki, offering the woman some support on her as they walked "You really one stubborn woman aren't you Yuki-san? Despite having your leg messed up, you still insist on carrying Azalea. That said you fought really well Yuki-san." She offered a slight smirk as her voice was free of any judgement, as she fully realised she would have done the same had it been her with the damaged leg.

Whether or not Yuki took up Sayori's offer to support her, Sayori kept looking around keeping her eyes open for anything else that would attack them. "If we get attacked again, I'll try and hold em of. You just get yourself to safety Yuki-san and take Azalea with you." Sayori spoke with a soft and serious tone of voice, hoping Azalea didn't hear it. After that she turned to Azalea "I'm sure you will kid, just stay safe so you can grow up." She offered Azalea a soft reassuring smile "Just a bit of walking left and we'll have you back home Azalea and then you can tell your friends about how brave you where when those Bats attacked us and if they don't believe you, you can always ask me to come back you up on that." Sayori smiled softly as she spoke with the child. Despite knowing she was just a program, she couldn't help but to act a bit like a big sister to Azalea.

  13. With a deep breath Sayori regained her composure again. She pressed one hand against the monument over Kaito's name and the other she held against her chest. She wasn't intending of returning to the monument for a while. After a moment she turned around and left the plaza and headed for the teleporter in the city. Before stepping onto the teleporter she looked around for one last time before stepping onto the platform speaking with a clear and calm voice "Teleport Krycim"

Sayori stumbled a bit as she tried to step of the teleporter, simply by the sheer suffocating feeling the sudden damp and hot air gave. She needed a moment to catch her breath, after which she pressed on. She didn't take a lot of time to look around the city, as she was determined and focused on finding the stranger who challenged her to come here. But whilst she wanted to get a move on getting out of the city, she found herself getting lost a little, the silver lining she found in that though was that she did get to explore the city a little bit. If only for a brief moment.
"Well as beautiful as it is here, not going to buy a house here.. Way to damn warm for me." She mostly spoke to herself as she looked back over the city from the city gate.

  14. Sayori started running the moment Yuki told them to run as she noticed Yuki had picked Azalea up. As they where running out of the collapsing cave Sayori narrowly shot under the larger pieces of rubble as it came collapsing down. There was a constant pinging of smaller rocks clattering against metal. As she came shooting out of the cave entrance she threw herself onto the ground.

As the rubble settled and the dust cloud parted Sayori sat up and looked around, she first spotted Azalea who seemed to be ok if only a bit stunned. She looked around for Yuki, the moment she heard the woman yell out she turned into the direction and got up as she walked over to Yuki "Stop pulling on your leg, that's only going to make it worse." Sayori sighed a little as she studied the rubble for a moment. "Azalea-san stay put for a moment, I need to help Yuki-san out of here first before we can get you back to your mother." Without waiting for a reply of the girl Sayori started to remove some of the rubble keeping Yuki's leg pinned, stopping every other moment to try and just lift the rock that had her leg trapped enough for her to get out.

Once she got the weight she needed to lift to a point she could lift it up, if only for a short moment she turned to Azalea "Well I can get the rock up now, but you need to help Yuki get her leg free and since you are easily one of the bravest kids I've met, I'm sure you'll manage." Her tone was calm, friendly and encouraging as she spoke to Azalea. She then turned to Yuki as she readied herself to lift the rubble up and spoke with a slightly harsher tone "Ready to pull yourself free Yuki-san?" She waited till Yuki said she was ready at which point she lifted the rocks up so Yuki's leg could be pulled free.

After Yuki was freed Sayori placed herself between her wounded companion and the cave entrance as the rubble shifted and settled again. Once she didn't hear any sound behind her anymore she sank through her knees and let out a deep breath and looked up at Yuki, specifically her injured leg "So got anything to heal it with on you? Or am I going to be escorting you and Azalea into town now?"

  15. Sayori was getting ready to turn on her heels to throw herself between Azalea and the bat who went for the girl. But as the bat got skewered before he could get anywhere Sayori instead turned her attention towards the other remaining Bat. And again due to not being to see where it was, the strike went wide and this was once again followed by a annoyed growl out of Sayori.

Despite missing her attack Sayori moved herself between the Giant Bat and Azalea again, making sure the Giant Bat had to go through both herself and Yuki in front of her to get to Azalea. Whilst she kept her eyes on the Giant Bat, Sayori spoke up "You ok back there Azalea?" Despite knowing that death could result in her own as well, Sayori was determined to keep the girl safe as she promised she would.

Azalea nodded a little as she was to scared to make any sound, lest she attracted the attention of the one remaining bat. As a means of calming herself a little she tightened her grip on the stuffed animal Yuki had given her.

  16. As the bats came swooping down out of the darkness Sayori used her free hand to gently push Azalea behind her "Stay behind me and keep your head down." Sayori still sounded calm, but now more authoritative then kind. She turned her attention forward completely towards the bats once she was happy that Azalea was out of harms way. She waited till she thought she saw an opening and came surging past Yuki striking up at one of the two Giant Bats, aiming to where she believed one of them was, but the strike went wide gliding harmlessly through the air. Sayori growled a bit as the strike missed, though it wasn't easy to say whether that was aimed at the Giant Bat she just missed or herself.

Azalea let out a shrill cry as the giants bats swooped down and froze in place for a moment as panic gripped her. The panic was dispelled as she pushed aside and Sayori's voice cut through it with a clear instruction. The little girl took a few steps back and knelt against the side of the cavern wall, pressing herself a bit against as to make her self a bit smaller and less interesting to the bats. Despite being scared she couldn't help but to just keep looking at the two woman as they fought the Giant Bats.

  17. Sayori nodded a little to the scolding, clearly not taking any offence to that "Should have thought of that."  Sayori had a very steady and careful step as she walked into the darkness of the cave, constantly feeling out of the ground she was putting her foot on was stable or not before stepping forward. With each step she kept her eyes focused on looking around the cave, trying her best to see any attackers coming now that she had given their location away.

As they came closer to Azalea she offered the girl a soft smile as she turned around to keep an eye on their rear as Yuki spoke to the young girl. "Nice to meet you Azalea, we'll get you out safely and back home with your mother." She spoke with a calm, reassuring tone of voice. Hiding her own nervousness and insecurities at that promise behind her blank expression.

Sayori turned to look at Yuki and Azalea. "Ready to head back Yuki-san?" She turned to Azalea for a moment "If we get attacked Azalea, listen to Yuki-san her instructions ok? We'll keep you safe."

    ---

Azalea was still holding onto the stuffed animal Yuki had given her as she nodded a little to the things she was being told. The comforting words of Yuki and the simple calming presence of Sayori helped the young girl calm down as she looked between the two woman. Waiting for them to start walking.

    @Zajcica

  18. Sayori nodded a little "I am, I can take a few hits before I need to back of.. Though the sword doesn't do a lot of damage from what I've experienced so far, I'm good to go." Sayori instinctively raised her free arm up to use as a means to deflect incoming blows with the armoured gauntlet as she held her sword at the ready as they peered into the cave.

As she stood at the entrance peering into the pitch black darkness she grimaced a bit "Well now I'm wishing I had a torch or something on me." She took a deep breath as she willed the oppressing feeling the darkness gave aside and softly spoke  "Well time to put Uncle Juroh taught me about fighting blind to use, maybe I should have taken those lessons a bit more seriously as well." She sighed a bit as she pushed the feelings of regret on that away as that wasn't something that would help them now.

Sayori carefully and slowly stepped a bit into the cave, after which she turned to look at her companion "I'm still just level 1." She shrugged a bit "Well shall we go in then. The longer we dilly dally, the more chances for us arriving to late." Sayori turned towards the cave entrance after speaking and shouted into the cave "Azalea! If you can hear me, stay where you are, we're coming to get you out!"

    @Zajcica

  19. Sayori blinked as she had to keep up with the sudden onset of words, it was a good thing that she was used to deciphering the accent from when her mother and father used to have a argument. She pressed the memories of those years away before they rose up. She shook her head a bit as she quickly made her way down the outcropping she was standing on.

Without hesitating Sayori walked up to be next to Yuki "First of you don't have to be well mannered in an emergency and I'll help you Miss." Sayori had replied in Japanese, as she recognised the accent and figured it would have been easier. Without pause she followed after Yuki "I take it you know where the cave is, or at least where we should be looking for it. So I'll follow your lead Miss." She blinked a bit as she realised she hadn't introduced herself yet and simply did that as she was walking, or as best she could do so whilst walking "I'm Sayori, pleasure to meet you, wish it could have been under nicer circumstances." She offered a friendly smile.

As she walked after Yuki she kept looking around, looking for anything that would attack them or a cave.

  20. Sayori wasn't paying attention to her surroundings as she sang, a situation owing to the fact that she felt both safe and was lost in her own world for a moment as she sang. As she was singing she had never once shifted from how she was standing. Other then her hands gripping the hilt of the sword tighter.

Whilst the song started out sad and full of grief. As it progressed the song slowly turned more hopeful, as she sang of hope for a better future. The song came to an end just as Yuki would get within hearing range and sight of Sayori.

Still a bit lost to her own thoughts Sayori lowered her sword after her song ended and took a deep breath as she used one hand to wipe the tears from her face, which showed a mix of happiness, hope and sadness. Her expression turned callous again within a few calming deep breaths. She hoped she wasn't heard singing by the stranger she saw approaching. She turned towards the woman, holding her sword pointing down, but standing ready to spring into action if needed.

When Yuki came close enough that she could call out to her without straining her throat to much Sayori spoke up "Morning!" Her voice had a calm and friendly tone to it.

  21. Sayori sat on the outcropping of a small rise in the mountainous terrain. It had been a few days since the faced herself, but that didn't change a thing about the pain the confrontation caused her. She had initially gone up one floor as to get away from a place that for now at least was so haunted by memories for her. Of course this was before she realised how much the wilds of this floor reminded her of the places she grew up in. Her sword lay across her lap as she had her arms resting on the flat of the blade.

Her eyes where still red, even though she hadn't cried the past day, it was simply still there from the day before. She closed her eyes for a moment, a slight smile forming on her lips as she at least had made peace with the passing of her friend and was starting let go of the endless cycle of grief and self blaming. Despite the floor evoking a strong sense of homesickness in Sayori, it helped her just sit and clear her head a good bit as well.

Sayori took a deep breath as she pushed herself up to her feet, she looked around as she took the view in for a moment, after which she pointed her blade upwards and pressed it against her forehead as she started to hum a soft tune. The tune had a sad and mournful sound to it. After a moment of humming and thinking she was alone, Sayori started to sing softly, letting her song drift of in the wind.

  22. Sayori had stood a ways away from the entrance to Starting City for a while now, despite wanting to pursue this challenge she still had some difficulties with actually going into the city. It had been close to two years now since she ran out of the city. She shook her head as she took a deep calming breath and pushed herself through the mental barrier she created in the entrance. As she stepped through the gate she felt a mix of emotion welling up consisting of relief and profound sadness that she was quite alone, but as always she showed nothing of the emotional turmoil to the world around her.

She crossed the city with a purposeful stride, always looking ahead of herself. Not stopping to greet or interact with the people she came across. She had a singular destination in mind, yet the moment she stood in front of the entry into the City's centre plaza she froze on the spot as she simply stared dead ahead. Her mind was racing as memories of that first day in Aincrad resurfaced. The horrible announcement that was made that day, the mirror items that made their avatars resemble their real selves and then of course the falling out she had with one of her friends. Now a small crack in her otherwise calm facade showed as a few tears silently rolled down her face.

It took a shake of her head and another deep breath before Sayori forced herself onto the plaza, she approached the statue to the fallen in the middle and quickly looked up on specific name. When she found it she just stared at it for a while, resting her forehead against the monument as she allowed herself a moment to cry in silence as the memories of the day that Kaito died came back.

  23. Sayori sat on her heels, her head was tilted down as she looked at the grave she made for Kaito. Even with it being about two years ago now, the pain was just as fresh as it was when it happened. Sayori closed her eyes and took a deep breath as she pushed the memories of that day down again. With a frustrated sigh in response to the self guilt and blame just surged back, despite Sayori's attempts at dispelling them, she allowed herself to fall back onto her back as she opened her eyes looking up at the sky overhead. She balled her fists as she angry with herself and with this game, despite knowing the futility of that.

It was the sudden shadow being cast over her face that caused Sayori to focus and snap out of her thoughts as her eyes adjusted to try and make out who loomed over her. Part of her was welcoming death as it would provide a release from the turmoil she was dealing with, but a larger part of her quickly squished those thoughts as they arose.

The hooded figure casting the shadow over Sayori spoke with a mocking tone at least that's how it sounded to her and the voice sounded like Kaito's for a brief moment "You look pretty strong."

Sayori gritted her teeth as it sounded like someone mimicking her dead friend was mocking. She wanted to say something, but she couldn't find the words, so instead she just glared up at the figure.

The hooded figure continued "I'm looking to test my skills. If you beat me, I'll teach you a hidden skill. What do you say?" The figure suddenly spoke with a much friendlier tone of voice then earlier, though there Sayori was sure there was a insult of mocking of her hidden in it.
With a deep breath she pushed herself up to her feet as she looked at the figure "I'll beat you, if only for the fact that you sullied the memories of a good friend of mine."

Jus as sudden as the hooded figure appeared, it disappeared as well. Sayori looked around as she thought the figure wanted to fight her. A brief moment later she saw a ping on her map. Sayori turned towards the grave of Kaito and smiled a little "Even from the grave you know how to kick me out of my stupor Kaito-chan" She chuckled softly before starting the trek to Starting City, so she could get on with this fight.

    Battle Ready Sayori
    GR1tpkm.jpg

    Profile

    Username: Sayori
    Real name: Uesugi Anita
    Age: 19(Upon entering SAO)
    Gender: Female
    Height: 1.71m - 5' 7"
    Weight: 62kg - 136lbs

    About:

    Personality:

Anita is a friendly young woman who tends to try and do the right thing. Though she might not always show it on her face, she experiences emotions just like anyone else does, she just struggles to express them and this leads to the occasional emotional outburst. She can give of a fairly cold, callous impression and isn't the easiest to get along with if you don't know, in part due to her own bullheadedness. Though those who push through that tend to quickly learn that she is a friendly and loyal person who's generally happy to help if she can.

    History:

Anita was born to a British man and a Japanese woman and she had a fairly good childhood in her early years. That wasn't to last though as they lived in a small village on Kysushu Island in the Kagoshima Prefecture. Despite Anita's best efforts she struggled to make friends with her classmates as she was different to them and that later became a reason for them to bully her. When ever Anita came home upset about it her father didn't provide much help at all, other then telling her to remain strong. Given that her mother worked more then her father, she never saw the full extent of the struggles and pain it caused to Anita.

When Anita was round eight years old her parents got divorced as her father had been caught cheating. After the divorce was finalised and Anita's mother found a new job near in the town she grew up in, in Niigata prefecture in the Chubu region. Anita chose to go with her mother, knowing the being treated as an outsider would likely not get any better, but she didn't want to live her father any longer.

Anita tried her best to make new friends at her new school, by joining the clubs she was in at her previous school, but this didn't really end up working out for her. But despite having no real friends, she kept going to the clubs as she simply did enjoy the Kendo, Athletics and Music clubs. It was through of her friends back on Kyushu that Anita got introduced to online gaming and she quickly dove into it as it gave her a way to spend time with the friends she left behind in Kyushu and it was a way to make new friends who didn't need to know she was only half-Japanese.

Whilst she did sign up for the Sword Art Online Beta, she never got in. This didn't stop her from taking what news she could on the game, most importantly its release date so she could be waiting outside the local store which sold them to get her hands on a copy.

    Virtues:

Stubborn: Due to never quite having fit in as she grew up and looking different, nothing ever came easy to her. Yet her parents(mostly her mother) told her to never give up. Which over the years turned into her becoming a very stubborn and bullheaded person who doesn't tend to give up and is very driven to see things through to the end once she sets her mind to it.

Loyalty: Whilst Anita struggles with making friends, she is loyal to the people she does see as friend. And will do anything she can to help or protect her friends. Her dependable and helpful nature as a friend, means that when she does make friends they know they can rely on Anita to help them out in anyway she can.

Creative: Given that Shiori struggled with expressing herself, she always sought for a outlet that worked for her. To her that became music, namely playing a violin and singing. Though she doesn't feel too confident about the quality of her singing and tends to keep it to herself. Her creative mindset helps think of new solution to problems as they arise, making her quite good at adapting on the spot.

    Flaws:

    Reference: http://darkworldrpg.com/character-flaws

Emotionally Clumsy: Having been bullied a lot during her younger years led to her having a very cold and unfeeling expression, as to never show the hurt it did to her. This was a result from how her father always pressured her to be strong. These days she struggles with showing her emotions in a good way, which tends to result in the occasional emotional outburst, usually anger leading her to reckless and/or impulsive things or saying things she doesn't mean out of sheer frustration.

Trouble Expressing Herself: While Anita is completely fluent in the Japane language, having grown up in Japan, she can have some trouble expressing herself. She'll know what she wants to say, but can't find the words to actually say it. This happens most often in situations where her emotions get the better of her, but, to her annoyance, it can happen at any time. Luckily, it is easier when speaking than it is in writing.

Loyalty: Whilst Anita struggles with making friends, she is loyal to the people she does see as friend. And will do anything she can to help or protect her friends. Even if that means it might cost herself in some way as well.

    Story Thus Far

The first day changed everything for Sayori, though she was certain she wasn't the only one who felt it like that. The fun and joy of exploring Aincrad for as much as they could before the announcement was thrown away in an instant following the announcement that this game had become a real life or death game. The added sense of betrayal she felt from Shizue's words didn't help with it either, nor did her initial reaction which was punching Shizue in the gut and running right of after. Some of their club of friends, the few friends Sayori had from her childhood years in Kyushu followed her.
For the first week Sayori remained directionless, in a way paralysed by her own doubts about people accepting her or not. This changed as her best friend managed to convince her to start doing something, instead of just letting herself waste away. Actually doing something, along with her best friend Kaito helped her mood tremendously. Which made the fact that he got killed all the harder of a blow to. Sayori fell into a depression for a while as her own doubts returned, now paired with self blame at the fact that she couldn't protect her friend. It took Sayori two years to overcome her demons, which she signalled by making a promise at the grave of Kaito 'In honour of your memory, I will find my place in this world and I will help in freeing myself and the rest of us.'
