  1. Rosa had buried herself in a cloak, a wary look on her face. The seventh floor was not somewhere she went often, in fact, she usually stayed far away... but something seemed to have drawn players here. the floor seemed... off. There was an odd rain, splashing a odd liquid that was pitch black in color on the players. She glanced at the Npc's, who all seemed to be on edge... Completely abnormal for the people here. She pulled her cloak tighter around herself, shivering, and moved under a building. It was very cold, much colder than it was supposed to be. Perhaps this was an event of some kind? It would probably be better to try and wait this out, and see what would potentially happen.

All she really knew, though, was that she hated rain. Painful memories, painful events... all those things melded together to dredge up pain, and bring a burning grief. now, though... it was left as pure cold. She held out her hand, palm facing up, so that she could catch the black water, her eyes watching as the color stayed there, even though the liquid was dripping down...

  2. Rosa stood upon the upper part of a fountain centered around where her guild would be performing. Her guildmates were already in place, and were completely dressed in their costumes. Her eyes scanned the crowd, not spotting the person that had started to track her inside the building anywhere near the plaza. 'Oh well, I guess we should still put up a show, should we not..?' she thought dryly, glancing at the crowd, before moving to have her baton-like sheathe spinning in her hand. "Welcome, everyone! My name is Ace, and I'm here with my guild, the Arbiter's Hand*, to give you guys a cool show~!" she called out, waving at the players gathered around them. Then, at her call, all of her guildmates that were dressed as clowns began to dance and perform, some of them were juggling daggers, some were doing balancing acts, and others were doing parkour and safe-zone sparring, kicking up a flurry of blue and purple sparks as the game prevented the players from taking damage from the attacks. Various players were murmuring excitedly about the situation, their eyes wide at the performance.

on the other hand, rosa was still watching the crowd, noticing one of the players seemed to be watching her group a little too closely, eliciting a frown from her. she opened a chat menu, and sent a message to one of her non-present members to keep an eye out for anyone aiming to cause trouble. 'Getting attacked for no reason is not on my list of things to do today, thank you.' she thought, closing the menu, before moving down to one of her clowns, and engaging in a simple duel with them, the pair moving as though they were in a choreographed dance, the movements seeming impossibly rehearsed.

Eventually, the performance ended, and Rosa moved to an alleyway off to the side along with one of her trustee's, Heart. With a twin flash of blue, they both were in regular clothing, though Rosa had a scarf covering part of her face in order to help prevent someone from tailing her. Heart had his hands in his pockets, hiding that he was armed with brass knuckles, custom made from heavy dragon bone and Steel. "Were you able to find anything interesting, Milady...?" he asked softly, tilting his head towards her. "And that was quite the brilliant show we put on for everyone earlier, wasn't it? They hadn't even noticed what our objective was." Rosa chuckled mirthlessly, shaking her head at her friend. "God I wish I was that good at making things sound shady as hell! Yeah, I got the Intel we needed. Our target isn't here, so I think we made our way out here for nothin'" she said dryly, turning slightly to face Heart. "And watch your tone a tad bit, someone tracked me earlier, their familiar was sittin' at my table, starin' at me." At this, Heart's easygoing smile dropped completely, and his eyes darted around a bit. "Then isn't it a bit of a problem that we're still here while you haven't concealed yourself..?!" he hissed, putting a hand on her shoulder, which she offhandedly brushed away, shaking her head.

"If they wanted t' cause some trouble, they woulda done it in the Tavern. Too many witnesses out here." she said flatly, gesturing at the large crowd that was still milling about the town. "Dammit Rosa, that's not my point! What if they're a greenie working for an orange guild!" Rosa rolled her eyes at Heart's concern, her expression darkening slightly. "Look, I appreciate the concern, but there really ain't an orange guild stupid enough to attack one of the few info brokers that'll sell them info. Especially given that ol' master o' shadows himself went into retirement."

  3. Rosa frowned as she watched the bird fly away from her, her eyes following it with trained ease. "Lets see where you're headed little one.." She breathed, her eyes glinting with excitement at tracking her quarry. Pulling up her menu, she tapped out a message instructing her friends to meet her down the street to cause a commotion. Perhaps taking a page out of her little wildcard's book would draw their attention. Before she fully stepped out of the building, she swapped into her standard white cloak, complete with the gold and red emblem of Arbiters hand plastered on the back. She put on a festively decorated mask and hat, not too unlike a Circus ringleader's hat. before springing onto the roof of one of the buildings. startling more than a few players. "Come one, Come all to our fabulous show! right in the town square, so don't be late!" she called out, throwing cards with her guild logo plastered on them. perhaps she could draw that man out by luring him with an orange player. She swiftly tapped out a message to her co-conspirators, hoping that they were already in position. After confirming, she made her way to the area swiftly.

  4. Rosa scowled at the bird, her eyes darkening slightly. "Lemme guess, yer master already knows I'm here, doesn't he?" She said flatly, her brows furrowed. "Fantastic. Absolutely fan-f**cking-tastic. I can't even gather intel without someone staring me down." She Kept a close eye on the familiar, watching for any sign of its master within her line of sight. It was pretty unfortunate that she'd been seen, though she didn't know how unfortunate it might end up just yet. the fact that the familiar hadn't even budged told her that it was either tracking her movements, or just watching her for its master. Both options weren't going to be very nice. She moved her hand up to pull up her player menu, scrolling through her messages, replying to a message from Glenn about the people he was currently tracking. 'He's very effective, but he needs to be a tad bit more wary.. he could have easily been seen by them..' She signed off on his actions, and quickly received a ping notifying her of his affirmative response. "Brilliant. Now's the time for the waiting game." she said dryly, still keeping an eye on the Raven in case it decided to move out without her attention fully on it.

  5. OOC: as a side note, Nightingale will be portrayed at a different level than her current one for purely RP purposes. If there are any concerns, let me know!

Rosa calmly knocked back yet another glass of gin, her multicolored eyes darkening slightly as she listened to the gossip and rumors circulating around the bar. She was still on the lookout for information on the Laughing coffin, and hadn't managed to find any intel, save for some from a player from an orange guild that survived one of their raids. Unfortunately, it wasn't fresh info... which was pretty bad. actually, bad would be a tad bit of an understatement in that regard. She recalled faintly that Hidden was still on the lookout for more information regarding the guild, scratch that, Needed more intel was more accurate. Rosa had made sure that the younger girl had learned that lesson rather quickly. Never go into a situation uninformed. She perked up slightly when she spotted a raven perched on one of the nearby shelves, watching her like a hawk staring down its next meal. "... huh....?" She shot the bird a wary glance, before pulling up her hood and bandanna, hiding most of her face. Even though she was relatively well known here, she didn't want some random person knowing who she was. "That's a bit unfortunate, I'm not fond of little observers. even pretty ones like yerself. Kindly 'eff off, will ya?"

    <<About>>

    <<Personality>>

Rosa has a very blunt personality, rarely lying or sugarcoating anything that she says. She enjoys playing with the emotions of others, and thrives when given challenges. Through that demeanor, however, lies a razor sharp mind that cuts down anyone who crosses her, in one way, or another. Her attitude makes her appear rather standoffish upon first glance,

    <<History>>

Rosa was born in Queens, New York, to Ericka and Jean Lucino. Her family owned a small bakery chain that often did charity fundraisers for the locals, be they homeless, or just needing a warm, freshly cooked meal. At the age of 24, she ended up moving across the country in order to try and make a name for herself on the west coast, setting up shop in the city of L.A., and opening up a small bakery of her own. She was only open for a short while before disaster struck, her store having been ransacked, and utterly destroyed by a gang that took offense to her serving members of a rival organization, leaving her unable to work for a time.

After a few months, she found one of the gang members that she had unwittingly helped with her charity work, and ended up becoming a member of that gang, working as an Intel broker. She swiftly raised herself through the ranks, all the while running the gang more like a Robin-hood esque team of people that went from committing murder and selling unsavory things, to donating to charities, and stealing from the rich in the area. Before she knew it, the gang had evolved into more of a charity group than an actual gang, and even the members had managed to start cleaning their lives up with her help. The senior members of the gang became highly protective of her, going so far as to work as bouncers for her Cafe/Bakery.

Several years later, Rosa ended up becoming a widely respected member of her community, becoming friendly with nearly everyone that lived in it. She was relaxing by the counter, a wine glass filled almost to the rim sitting in front of her. Eventually, the bell rang out signalling the arrival of a brand new customer, and as she moved to stand, she came to the quiet realization that she recognized the man

That had entered the building was a member of the local police force, a man that had ensured the safety of both herself, and her fellow gang members on many occasions. He eventually took a seat for himself, and she served him a few drinks, and his meal. after that little encounter, she would find that he would show up at her bakery at least twice a week, and it became something that she would look forward to. The man's name was Declan Cian.

The two eventually started dating, and after a while, he would start bringing a young woman into the bakery with him. She would meekly introduce herself as violet, and eventually became good friends with Rosa as well, often visiting the two at their house, and playing Shogi with Declan, or joining in at their weekly poker nights. They were all a group of happy friends, and Rosa felt that they were basically family, easily remaining close to them both. Eventually, Declan popped the question of marriage, which Rosa happily accepted, a smile on her face. After an accident that violet was involved in, she got a tattoo on her face that mimicked the scar on the younger woman's face.

About three years after the wedding, Rosa was relaxing at home, playing Shogi with one of her gang members when she received a call from a hospital. Declan had been shot dead during a massive gunfight, along with two other officers, and that Violet was currently hospitalized in critical condition. The Shogi board had fallen to the floor, the leader piece having fallen out of her hand as she stood up in a flash. She helped care for Violet until she was discharged from the hospital, upon which she simply seemed to quit her job, and bundle up in her own mind. Almost like she had fallen into herself, and just couldn't crawl her way out. Eventually, Rosa found herself falling down that very same hole, finding that she was gripped with deep sorrow. However, Rosa still found her way to keep moving onwards.

Eventually, Rosa stumbled upon a copy of SAO, along with what seemed to be a brand new NERVGear headset, sitting neatly on one of her tables near the abandoned Shogi board She would play with so long ago. A note placed nearby explained that they were for her, and that they were a gift from Violet's family. With that, she set up the game system, commenced with calibration, and dove headfirst into a game of life or death.

    Virtues

    • Truthful : Rosa absolutely despises lying to others. She may chose to omit some things, or tell half truths when needed, but she will never lie to someone outright. those that know her very well know that this can often lead to her coming off as unusually blunt,
    • Trustworthy : Rosa can take secrets given to her in full confidence, and will carry them to her grave if need be. She kept secrets for her friends that most others would simply turn into gossip, making her someone that many would trust with very important information or secrets.
    • Adaptable : Rosa is able to adapt to many situations at a whim, even if the situation is not a favorable one. After years of playing poker with her old gang, she became more than capable of being able to bluff her way out of a bad situation, or rile up someone in just the right way. In a way, she never leaves all her cards on the table, keeping the wild card hidden away, and out of sight.
    • Caring : Despite her prickly behavior, underneath those layers is a woman who cares deeply for those that manage to touch her heart. Her demeanor tends to be more of a barrier, protecting her softer, kinder emotions. Her kindness does seem to display in strange ways, though.
    • Fearless Rosa is rather brave, fearing very little of the things that many were scared of directly. She owned a pet rattlesnake, and bred tarantula's as a way to earn extra money. In Sao, she revels in the realism of the monsters on the various floors, leading to her having a problem seeking thrills by fighting excessively dangerous mobs.

    Flaws:

    • Temperamental : Rosa has a vicious temper, and will sharply and swiftly give the person/mob that drew her ire either a swift tongue lashing, or plunge her dagger through their bodies. Even in the real world, rosa had become well known as the type of gangster that would shoot first, ask questions later in regards to those that managed to truly make her angry.
    • Adrenaline Junkie : Rosa deeply enjoys fighting mobs that make her feel as though her blood is rushing hard, and make her feel an adrenaline high. Rosa will often seek out the scariest, most violent monsters that she can get her hands on, just so she could enjoy the excitement that came from doing so.
    • Depressed : Despite appearing cocky and overly rude, she suffers from a deep sorrow in relation to having her husband get his life cut so short. Some days she'll lapse into silence for hours on end, or suffer from sorrow-fueled anger. this aspect of herself makes it even harder for others to approach her, lest they see her breaking down.
    • Blunt/Sharp-tongued : going along with her unwillingness to tell lies, Rosa is often very blunt with her speech, causing many to be wary of her for fear of her sharp tongue. in the real world, she was well known for being able to cut others down with extreme ease, often able to deliver sharply aimed backhanded compliments to her target.
