[PP-F5] <<The Traveler>> (Ariel)

Shizuka sighed. Indeed, she was here in the floor that she had learned to dread the most. Indeed, it was the place of harsh heat and dangerously high temperature enough to exhaust all players ranging from all sorts of levels. Of course, Shizuka was better off than most people as she was wearing only a simple starting cloth that was loose and the heat releasing in order to preserve her pure, pale skin. However, she knows that soon, she would be tanned by this whole event as it would take a while for Shizuka to be able to complete this new quest for her skill points. Honestly, Shizuka had been able to obtain quite a lot of skill points during her short time as an active leveller with the help of her many higher leveled, more experienced players. However, today, all the others were rather busy. Tristan was probably tired from his wedding, Carlex was probably busy with his wife, Zelrius... Well, Zelrius just doesn't exactly like Shizuka as much as she respected him and with a sigh, she decided to sit down for a while under the rays of the bright, red-orange sun that shone upon the world of Aincrad. 

Nevertheless, soon, she decided that she would go ahead and accept this quest which she had heard was available for a new skill that allows the player to regenerate more health out of combat. Indeed, Shizuka thought that this would be a good technique for material gathering and here she was, searching around the town of Armadillo trying her hardest in order to find a single trace of the quest. However, soon, she decided to give up after not being able to find success trying to find this quest. Little did she know, soon, the quest giver would come to her instead. After about 10 minutes of thinking, the quest giver did indeed arrive, seeking assistance for material finding in the desert since she was in an impossible state of condition. Of course, Shizuka accepted this quest but then realized that she was probably too weak to do this on her own. What to do... What to do... She thought while sitting on a sandstone bench.

Despite being on just a floor above where the so called 'winter wonderland' was located, this place wa the exact opposite. Well atleast they were now in route back to that place they called home, the little log cabin just outside Snowfrost Village. "Just hang in there girl, we'll get home soon." said a crystalline voice that showed empathy towards a sad looking white lion that's paws sunk in the hot sands. "But I really do hate this floor" came another murmur... she knew that Kimba would only reply with animalic sounds but had no doubts that she understood her, as she had proven it before oh so many times...by consistently ignoring her words. She seemed to be doing so right now as she stubbornly walked in front of the blonde despite having a lower pace.

"How about we take a break?" came the same voice from behind the lion. Kimba turned her head towards the source and let out a low growl in agreement or maybe in mocking her companion for being tired already. The figure let out a sigh as she thought that from all the possible familiars she had to be stuck with this extremely proud one. "Well I guess we're kindred spirits after all" she said in a low tone with a chuckle as they changed their direction towards the nearest bench. After she sat down, the blonde figure brushed away any remaining sand that the wind brought on her. She was after all wearing a very summer-like outfit composed of heavy black leather army-like boots, a extremely short skirt and a revealing sleeveless top that emphasised her generous bosom. Both the skirt and top were dies in a navy camo pattern making her stand out a bit in this golden-sand environment. She covered her face in a attempt to stop the sand coming from her companion, that decided to clean herself of the same thing that gave her fur a tinge of golden. 

"A warning would've been nice, you know?" protested the blonde only to see her lion familiar yawning then randomly dashing towards God only knew where. Already accustomed with this kind of behaviour, Ariel dashed after her familiar a mild protest in mind: 'And that was all the rest I get. Geez...'. The white lion dashed towards a pink headed girl that was nearby and had a familiar smell. Stopping by her legs, she brushed herself against them in search for some attention while Ariel was just behind her.

Shizuka had kind of trailed off as she stared at the rows and rows of sandstone buildings in the front of the building. Her eyes were practically half closed and she felt like she was going to sleep. Indeed, heat does this to people and she would've probably liked to sleep right there in that park bench. However, that was when she felt something by her leg in which she was sitting down in and immediately, she jolted wide awake when she saw a white, lion cub standing in front of her and brushing against her. Of course, upon first sight, she became rather afraid... Who wouldn't be if they were to see that a lion was right in front of them. However, soon, she realized that the lion was indeed only just a cub and she had been overexaggerated. With a smile, she went downwards to pat the white cub before wondering where the owner of the cub was. If it doesn't have an owner, I can surely adopt it. Shizuka thought before looking around, trying to catch a glimpse of the familiar's owner.

Indeed, there she was, a blonde woman walking over to the lion cub as if it were hers and of course, it probably was hers. Shizuka stood up in response as the blonde haired woman approached her. Of course, being a friendly player, she naturally smiled before saying, "Cute pup you got here.... Wait..." Shizuka began as she realized that the player in front of her was quite familiar. With a sigh, she pushed both her hands against her head as if that would help her recognize that pale face that was right in front of her. Argh.... She thought and finally, after about a long minute of thinking, she realized that the blonde woman was indeed the shopkeeper that had sold her her cloak. Oh yeah... The one that I thought was overpriced. Shizuka thought sarcastically before continuing her introduction. "You're that shop keeper right? The one that sold me the cloak... highest ranked tailor in Aincrad... I'm glad to be of your acquintance... I'm sure your lovely little cub here is already taking a liking to me." Shizuka said with quite an entertained laugh as the lion cub continued to rub itself against her. "My name is Shizuka."

Seeing how the girl reacted positively to her intrusion, Kimba continued to indulge herself in the attention she received. Ariel soon caught up and saw what drew her companion's attention. She passed by the face and directed her eyes towards the clothing piece. Of course she'd recognize one of her own crafts, even without the discreet crowned lion logo she'd placed on the cloak. Then she'd heard the person speak and directed her attention towards her, the face looked familiar but at the amount of new clients she'd had recently, associating faces with names wasn't her forte. Instead she nodded and replied in a crystalline voice that was accompanied with a smile. "Indeed, a pleasure to meet you. My name is Kayla Ariel D'Sole." she said, without showing a moment of hesitation as she revealed her full real name, thing that was kind of a taboo in SAO. "And yes, she likes getting the attention of whoever is willing to give it. Looks like ur one of her new friends" she continued as Kimba started happily purring in agreement. Strange, even rare sight to witness a lion doing. "So what brings you here?" she asked in a casual tone, keeping the smile.. forgetting all about her minor problems with the sand and heat from just a moment ago.

"Hm. Kayla sure is a pretty name." Shizuka replied with a smile. She was sure that the girl could help her if she was willing to. Indeed, if she was one of the greatest tailors in this game at the moment, surely she would be one of the strongest players in the entirety of Aincrad. However, at this thought, Shizuka let out a distasteful groan. It seems as if she was getting used to being carried by high leveled players and she truly despised that.... However, she was in no position to judge that as she had been carried by many high leveled players in the game with no second thought. With a sigh, Shizuka decided that she would explain her situation to Kayla while continuing to pet Kimba the lion. "I have just recently started <<The Traveller>> quest and I actually have no idea of how and where I should begin looking for the supplies that the sick, old woman had asked me to find. It's like an ocean out there... Sure, an ocean of sand and gold, but still there is miles and miles of desert out there and every inch of it has to be searched. It's going to really frustrate me if I'm going to be stuck out there for a long time." Shizuka said with more distaste than she had shown during her previous groan.

The sun was blaring upon the two players and as Shizuka waited for a response, she whipped off a piece of sweat from her forehead seeing that it was falling through her hair quite rapidly. Indeed, even in her loose clothing, she was not very pleased when she found out how hot it would remain even with her clothing. Argh... This is annoying. Shizuka thought. More reason to finish this quest as quick as I can. Shizuka decided before standing up, allowing Kimba to return back to his/her owner (Probably him given the name Kimba.)

The blonde felt a bit embarrassed when the pinkhead complemented her name. It was the first time she'd heard it... add her sincere smile to that and it would be enough to capture the hearts of many guys. What came next, specifically the groan caught her by surprise but she decided not to ask where it came from. Next learning that she had taken the traveller quest, she thought of the 2 different routes marked on her map... She'd been on this floor with several occasions, thus completing about 47% of the floor map data, which also included the spot for where to find the sand shark and the makeshift spear arena. But most importantly there was the hot springs location where she went with Teayre a while back. With elegant gestures she brought forth her HUD window and navigated towards the 'Map Data' section. With a flip of her right hand's middle and index finger she turned around the window and then with the same two fingers made a throwing motion, sending the girl her complete map data regarding this floor. There were girlish landmarks for the above mentioned routes and locations as well as a heart marked at the last place, entitled 'T-chan's Hot Springs'.

"This is what I gathered so far on this floor. Sorry to say that the cargo is randomly generated as the two different routes suggest. I've completed this quest twice so I should know. Also you should keep away from the arena and sand shark territory. I don't know now with the sword arts update but before that at least the shark was a pain to deal with." She remembered how lucky she was to have Kimba signal her from where the damn thing would pop-up from beneath the sand. "Also, there is a big problem with environmental damage during this quest, as the sun and sand can decrease your HP for no apparent reason. I suggest you don't venture alone."she said in a teacher-like manner but with warmth in her tone and a smile on her face. She'd been like this even before with her two students or protegé, how she liked to call them. Too bad they went off the grid for a while now.

Shizuka smiled gratefully when the blonde woman allowed her to have a bit of information on the floor. However, she wasn't sure of whether she should go out there by herself and indeed, she had rather preferred to have Kayla by her side as she seemed to be a nice woman willing to venture out with the heart of desire to help anyone out... Indeed, Shizuka had already taken a liking to Kayla as her personality was rather similar to those of her own. Kind hearted, gentle, gorgeous, calm, and has a sense of humor. Shizuka thought as she labeled all the traits that she and Kayla shared. Except she's probably, eh... at least fifteen levels higher than me. Fifteen levels may not seem as much, but the only reason that Shizuka had been able to level up so quickly was due to the guidance for higher leveled players and a mad amount of quest completion.

"Hm. I've completed the Sand Shark quest... I'm not sure of how dangerous it is thought as I did not have the need to attack and land a hit even once. Indeed, Calrex had actually stunned it and then completely destroyed it the next attack. Too bad we couldn't take it as loot or we would've had a preeeety good dinner that day." Shizuka said, obviously joking in the last sentence as no way would she eat something that gigantic and stinky. Also, she had already known that there would be environmental hazards in her path today and she was actually well prepared for it despite her inability to avoid the damage. Nevertheless, Shizuka's health was high enough to endure some environmental hazards to her health. "Thanks for the information Kayla... But I would like it if you could assist me in this quest... I'm not sure of my chances out there by myself. It would be much safer if I had you by myself... That is of course, if you and Kimba have the time to do so."

Upon hearing her request, the blonde took a glance at her furry companion. In return Kimba howled more like a dog/wolf than in a feline matter, showing her approval. With a chuckle she replied, fixing her silver eyes into the girl's: "I guess that settles it, since I got approval from the boss lady." she said, half joking on the matter. The fact was that, if Kimba refused there was no way to change her mind since because of that stubbornness originating from that noble animal pride of hers. Did she started to open towards people or as the blonde herself, she merely adopted a smiley face mask that allowed her to hide her inner desires and interact with others? she couldn't tell despite being together for such a long time. The blonde invited Shizuka into a party with just the two.... three of them, as Kimba was listed under Ariel's name as an 'accurate' familiar.

As she heard a familiar name she listened to their deeds. 'Not landing a hit' it reminded her of past times, namely her 'noob period' as she liked to refer to it. When she was adopted into the guardians and has been taught the basics of this game by her .... aspiration, the pink.. recently transferred to crimson, tank... HUGE claymore wielding beauty, Lessa. 

She shook her head twice, now was not the time for daydreaming. 'I guess the pink color got to me' she while looking at the girl and lightly laughing for no apparent reason.
"That's Calrex for you, he always puts himself in front of danger for others and gets the job done. Curious enough I've also meet him at this floor, when me and Oikawa helped him and Teayre complete this same quest. Ah fun times... to see him react like that in front of a desert mob, priceless. Now, he's outpassed me in terms of level for a while now."
She pointed towards the 'Azure Brigade' shield next to Shizuka's name and said: "You know, the us three were also in that guild." with a bit of sadness lingering in her tone.

Shizuka smiled gratefully before accepting the party invite which had appeared in front of her face after clicking on the pop-up a few times. And after Kayla decided to finish daydreaming and made a smart remark on Shizuka's pink hair, she snickered, finding the comment rather funny despite it not being very creative as she knew that her hair was quite distracting and amusing for many people mainly due to how bright and how light pink it was. She knew that her hair truly wasn't the taste of many people but she still liked the style. "Alright, let's get going then," Shizuka said as she began to start walking. Indeed, Shizuka was not going to be able to willing to waste too much of her time here as she had many things to do such as material gathering as she was indeed, running out of some of those. With a sigh, Shizuka continued to walk and along the way, Shizuka heard Ariel inform her that she was actually part of the Azure Brigade along with Calrex and Teayre. Indeed, she had heard that Oikawa was someone belonging to her guild, she was truly aware of how well known he is and his power. She had actually not heard of Teayre before and well, she was curious of their story.

"Used to? I'm sure Calrex is a solo player just like you. I wonder why you aren't in the guild anymore... You and Calrex are ya know, some of the best players in the entire game and I'm not sure why you wouldn't be in the guild anymore." Shizuka wondered as she continued to walk with a frisk place. With a gentle smile, she began to speak once again. Indeed, she wasn't sure whether the question she had asked would actually offend the woman or not and well, that's why she decided to approach this differently. Perhaps Ariel had done something wrong? No matter. "Also, I haven't met Teayre before.... Who is she?" Shizuka asked. Truly curious as to the identity of this Teayre character as she seemed like she would be a strong player if she had once teamed up with Calrex and Ariel.

Following the girl's lead Kimba went ahead, almost struggling with each step as her pawn sank in the sand. But she wouldn't let it be visible and step forward with her chin up, apparently taking point in this team. "Don't mind her, it's just how she usually is when we're going hunting." Said the blonde as she started walking by Shizuka's side. She'd listen to what she had to say and realized that she sputtered out names that she might not know. She liked how this pink headed smiled at her, if this was the new generation of Brigadiers maybe her animosity towards that guild would soften and she'd be more open to them. 

" 'Some of the best players' you say... I think you've mistaken me for somebody else. Cal is indeed the highest leveled player but I, at the moment am seen as no more than a rapier enthusiast." she said with a bit of self mocking tone. "A better title would be 'those who come second after the best players' as the best seem to have gained unique items and skills." She thought of how to explain Teayre to her... her brows furrowed for a second until she spoke again. "Simply put it, Teayre's now officially Calrex's wife in-game. And my nee-chan* in this game and outside if she'd like to keep in touch after we get out of here." She'd see herself going out of track and after a fake cough she'd continue in a normal tone.

"As for why Cal and I left.. well, I'm not sure if you are aware but this Azure is a reformed one. In our time, there was a almost completely different internal system, the council still stood but now only Zelrius is the remaining member of it. The rest are new blood. But what the old council voted, including the golden boy, was to kick out all inferior members of the guild, a.k.a. me, Calrex, Teayre and a few others. That is why I was  in Azure who at the time thought of it as a family. Being betrayed like that didn't set well with me and despite being reformed, I'm hesitant.. to say the least, in joining them again. Even if some of my friends are in." she lets out a sigh as she finished her little background story.

"Also, the same former council forbid me and all the rest of the guild members from joining a boss fight... not to mention their elitist selection of guild members. I managed to get in due to a recommendation forwarded by my ex-guild leader, Lessa. Now it seems that the recruitment criteria isn't so strict." she says with a smile as she looks at Shizuka. Before she would get angry just by thinking of that particular part of her past but knew she'd go gotten over it, or was it because of this girl who was by her side? 

"In any case I hope that answers your questions, Shizuka. I'm not badmouthing them but due to past experiences I tend to keep my distance from them." she said as she started fanning her hand towards her face and ample bosom. Sweat was becoming a nuisance for her now, despite her summery outfit. the fact that the wind picked up the sand and threw it towards them didn't help either.

*here, Ariel lets out her Japanese accent clearly known despite talking in proper...english? or whatever SAO overall language is, until and after that moment

Shizuka gulped. Indeed, kicking everyone out of the guild seemed like it was too harsh of a punishment no matter the cause. "I'm sure Zelrius really regrets letting both Calrex and you go especially with how great you two have turned out to be," Shizuka said with a cheerful smile. Her impression of Zelrius truly wasn't great. First, he had purposely bought a young girl an armor that showed quite of bit of her body and now she finds out that Zelrius had let go so many guild members. If Shizuka had the authority, was stronger and was an intimidating DPS, she would probably have gone to Zelrius to complain but she knows that she is in no such position to do so. She was powerless in front of Zelrius mainly due to his extreme power but also due to the fact that Zelrius is her guild leader and it was her duty to show respect to the blonde man no matter how restrained she felt as a result of this. 

Soon, as Shizuka fought her inner self, they had walked into the desert and immediately, Shizuka could feel the heat rising up to her face and she did not enjoy it... She didn't enjoy it one bit. However, in order to achieve the skill points that would help her level in order to make her a better support player along with that tempting skill that would make her immune to pretty much every single natural status out there, she would have to complete this quest eventually and why not do it right now? She had experienced the terrors of natural damage and she didn't enjoy it at all. As they walked, Shizuka looked at Kimba. She was a beautiful creature really, a creature that was quite active and amusing to watch. It seemed all business one moment but the other moment, it's like Hupm. Gotta have some fun sometimes right? And it was quite interesting to watch her behaviors. This distracted her from some of the heat which was probably one of the reasons that she hadn't taken any damage so far. However, she knew that Ariel wouldn't be taking any damage from the heat as well, she had already completed this quest to gain that skill for herself.

After telling her story, Ariel listen to Shizuka's feedback. She then replied with a amused tone "If he...no, if the guild does regret it, they sure don't know how to show it. " ending with a full laugh. "Well enough about me, how about you? Did you get into the guild for a particular reason, like wanting to become a the greatest front liner or just simply accepted the invite?" of course she could understand either of those reasons as she had been in both of those situation the later with her initial guild and the first option with the aforementioned one. She knew what motivated her but Ariel was one of the few cases with actual fighting experience from the real world. She wanted to know what drives this pinkhead. Kimba sensing Shizuka's gaze on her, turned around and dashed towards her,rubbing her face against her legs, thinking that the girl might give her some attention in return.

Shizuka could indeed feel the heat rising up to her. She hated the heat and much prefers the fourth floor where it is cold and chilled. I'll probably go there later on. Shizuka thought. However, little did she know what terrible event would happen there. However, that was a different story of a different time. Indeed, she had been asked a question by Kayla and the most important thing was to answer that question. "Hm. Why I came to the guild?" Shizuka started to explain as she whipped out a bit of sweat from her pale, white forehead. "Well, it's a long story really. I didn't really come to the guild in order to achieve power and even though I didn't want it, it was still provided to me. However, power is not what I want to obtain. No, power should not be what anyone wants. That is simply not the point of the game. Power equals corruption and well, that stops everyone from being able to beat this game which of course, was the whole point of all this... To escape this virtual prison. I wanted to make a contribution to the players and this was why I have decided to choose the support class. I don't know why the guild decided to choose me, but it truly mattered not as I was gladly able to accept the invitation." Shizuka said. "Whew... that was probably the longest passage of speech I've ever had to say." As the two walked on in silence, Shizuka decided that it was best for her to start a conversation in order to avoid awkwardness. "So, are you in a guild at the moment?"

"wanting to make a contribution" she muttered... so far more than 2/3rds of the people she asked that question replied in a similar manner. It wasn't a bad thing but made her miss the time when people aspired to be on the frontlines and make a name for themselves... like she had replied to someone a long time ago. But maybe she was an exception as one that of the few that came with actual fighting experience from real life and wasn't scared to risk her life due to her father's teachings. In any case, she'd received a answer to her question and was satisfied to hear it. It seems this 'new generation' had a different mentality.

Upon being asked about her guild status the blonde spoke with a smile: "See that purple-ish rock thing? that's the symbol of my guild current guild "Amethyst Descent". We are a small guild made from friends from long ago... actually Teayre is the one that had the idea. I think of it as a more simple version of Absolute Pin." It had the same 'creed' as the Guardians and Absolute Pin, being centered around the concept of 'family'.

"Basically we were talking about being solo despite collaborating ever almost since this whole 'game' begun. Despite changing guilds and so, we had always stuck together and helped each other so we decided to put a name on it and make it official." ended the blonde with a small laugh. "I hope that's a suitable answer."

Shizuka could feel that the woman wasn't particularly satisfied from the answer that was given by Shizuka. However, that was truly her realistic and honest answer. Indeed, being a support, there really wasn't much she could do to earn herself a name, not that she had wanted to be so famous anyway. Knowing the fact that there was currently only one support skill in the game, anyone being a support would be equal in status as long as they continue to strive for the grandmaster of the First Aid skill. Plus, support really isn't that important in this game of Sword Arts Online as battle healing and tanking would really just make support players less important because they wouldn't have the need to heal anyone. Nevertheless, Shizuka would work hard and help everyone overcome the many floor bosses that they would have to face in the unforeseeable future. 

Shizuka could indeed see the small purple thing. She hadn't noticed it before, but it was clearly there. It was a simple guild symbol that was different shades of purple to give it quite a nice, shape and form. The value was clearly shown as well. Shizuka was not one that was interested in art but she liked the symbol very much as it was simple and straight forward. Of course, being clueless since the start of the game, Shizuka did not know what the "Absolute Pin" was but that didn't matter did it? She just realized that Teayre was Calrex's wife a couple of days ago and well, Shizuka respected Calrex much, but she did remember that Calrex was a solo player just a couple of days ago. "Wait, if Calrex's wife is the guild leader... then why isn't he in the guild? A couple of days ago, he told me that he was solo... I think." Shizuka said, trying to remember the details.

However, the night was soon upon the two and of course, when it was just becoming night, they would have to find shelter for the night. Of course, she didn't know whether the game was developed this way or maybe it was just a coincidence but up in front, there just happened to be a stone pillar structure that people can hide underneath safely in order to shield from the powers of nature. Shizuka sighed before looking at Kayla and Kimba. "Seems like we're going to have to stay there tonight,"  Shizuka stated.

"Well he was but Teayre told us just the other day of her plan of putting a name on our small family. I've always thought of them as one but having them confirm it meant a lot, so I accepted without hesitation. So yeah, we're pretty much a newborn baby guild-wise." she said with a laugh. For some reason, idle chatting with this girl made the heat much more bearable or was it the coming of dusk that cooled the flaming desert. Suddenly the blonde remembered the extremely low temperatures that this place had during the night. Luckily there could be seen a shelter of sorts on the horizon. She turned towards Shizuka and replied:

"Yeah, a bit of camping isn't gonna hurt." when the stone pillar structure was just several meters in front of them, she'd check her inventory... more specifically the shop's inventory for a certain item. Her fingers moved elegantly through the intricate commands and strict categorization of her inventory until she finally found what she wanted. 

"Got you!" she exclaimed in a over joyful and girlish tone. Next materializing a huge 6 person military like tent she had made for a certain camping trip a long time ago. "Now we won't have to sleep under the skies." she said as she materialized a couple of sleeping bags as well. She was happy to see that those items could serve a purpose once again rather than gather virtual dust in her inventory. "Wanna help me set it up?" she asked the pinkhead. Of course there was a command to have it materialized already set but she wanted to bound with her companion and doing some minor manual labor together seemed like a good opportunity. This way seemed more ...real

Shizuka smirked as Kayla made a girlish sound that she hadn't expected her to be able to make. Nevertheless, she soon hid the smirk as the girl brought out a tent of sorts. Of course, she was rather surprised that such a thing existed. The last time she had gone out for journeying, she had actually slept under a sleep pillar while Calrex kept watch even though she was sure the man had fallen asleep later in the night as well as her. However, if she knew that a tent was actually existent in the game, she would've bought one of these to take with her during the time in which she embarked on that quest with Calrex instead of sleeping under the night sky and being all cold and shivery and stuff. Nevertheless, Shizuka knew that it would be a rather hard task to set it up because well, Shizuka had never really set up a tent before... In fact, she hadn't ever seen a tent in real life in front of her before.

Shizuka sighed as she was offered to have an opportunity of setting up a tent. Well, Shizuka truly didn't know how to set up a tent and of course, had to ask Ariel for a tutorial on such a thing. Still, the system sort of helped out a lot not that she minded. With a smile, she realized that she had sort of learned a new thing today while being with Ariel. Seems like a productive day to me. Shizuka decided with a smile before crawling into the tent with a tired face. Alright. Time to sleep. Shizuka thought before looking at Ariel. "Good night. Hope we find the materials tomorrow... Don't want to stay out here for two long or this might get annoying and frustrating." Shizuka said with annoyance.

Ariel wa more than pleased to see that she was willing to set it up manually. It seemed a bit dull and redundant but the pink headed companion aside her seemed to had never done it before so this was a new teaching experience. It didn't took them long to set it up and after designating Kimba as the post guard for the night Shizuka seemed to just switched off inside the tent after a few words. "Uhm...It shouldn't take too long. I say that by noon tomorrow we should have found it. At least the game is not absurd as in waste too much of our time with that. Sleep tight!" she said to the girl who was already inside the tent.

"Quite the day, wasn't it?" asked the blonde of her furry companion only to receive a irritated stare from her. This particular feline really hated this place but dealt with it as she had gained a new friend. Petting her companion on the head and then her back Ariel looked at the stars above... she wasn't much of a star gazer but had to admit that they were beautiful, even more so in this virtual environment where pollution was none existent. After a few minutes she turned around and headed for the tent whispering:"I'll leave it all to you then!" and receiving a small growl in reply. She snuggled into her own sleeping sack and whispered "good night!" to the pinkhead that appeared to be sleeping but who could say in that darkness.

Crafting Dice: 2 (No Damage)

After a night full of dreams and thoughts, Shizuka awakes to a dusty blow of the wind in the morning. With a yawn, she sat up from the tent floor that she had slept on. Compared to the time in which she had slept outside along with Calrex, this had been a much better experience since the tent was a much better shelter than a rock structure in the middle of a volcano. However, that experience paid well with quite a good amount of skill points plus a quest item that she had yet to use. This morning, she was feeling a lot less irritated and a lot more patient with her time. With a sigh, Shizuka rubbed her eyes before looking over to see that Kayla was actually still asleep on that tent floor and soon, with a peak of what was outside, Shizuka didn't notice anything out of the ordinary and with a sigh, she went outside to stretch. That was when she noticed Kimba sitting there. With a cheerful morning smile, Shizuka bent down to pet him. "Sorry Kimba... I don't have food for you, well, except ramen, but I'm sure that that is not suitable for you to eat." Shizuka said with a nice little laugh.

Soon, Shizuka returned to the tent in order to prepare two packets of ramen that she had prepared and stocked away in her inventory so she could pull them out at any time for enjoyment. And hence, Shizuka had soon finished preparing them and this process was made quite easy by the game system. With a sigh, Shizuka sat there, staring at Kayla to wait for her awakening.

Normally, the blonde would wake up an hour before sunrise and proceed with her morning 'ritual' of doing some practice before breakfast but today it seemed that her alarm forgot to act as it was not the ring of bells that woke her but the smell of food. 'I'm such a simpleton' thought the blonde as she opened her eyes, only to meet Shizuka's that was apparently waiting for her. She even had time to prepare a meal for the two of them: "Morning sunshine! Guess I overslept a bit" she said with a smile, ending with a laugh. Cracking her fingers and neck before stretching her arms forward and backwards, she look around the tent. "Kimba!" She said in a subdued shout and a furry white head popped inside the tent followed by the rest of her body. While summoning her inventory she turned towards the pinkhead: "I don't know if you gave her something or not but she has quite an appetite." She then materialized a roasted boar leg and checked for something like an expiration date. Making sure that it was safe she then threw it in the air saying: "Catch!" and the lion didn't wait for anything else and went for it, them munching happily with a happy expression.

"Okay now that the boss lady is happy lets help ourselves as well. Sorry to make you do this for me Shizuka. Itadakimasu!* " said the blonde while taking one of the ramen ration, that she assumed was for her.

*jap. for “Let’s eat,” “Bon appétit,” or “Thanks for the food.” whichever you want.
