This floor was way below her level, but as she had learned from Ebony, sometimes that wasn't such a bad thing, at least in terms of collecting materials. Her AOE was pretty bad, and she didn't ever plan on upgrading her martial arts skills to the point where she could use the one available to rapier users. She needed to prepare for some PvP battles. She was going after that unique skill after all. Maybe she should get some mitigation after she finished grand mastering charge. Manta had unequipped her gauntlets and breastplate for this expedition, slapping the diamond onto her darkened rapier and equipping the Koumori Hitter as well. Hopefully this would be a good day for material hunting. Both her and Ebony both needed the mats and it wouldn't be long before Hikoru ran out of the ones she had given him. She quickly went over her equipment and stats. She had a set for PvP, a set for mat gathering, and a set for the boss fight. It was a lot of equipment, but she liked to be ready for all occasions. Her skills were another story entirely. She wasn't built for PvP or Mat gathering, only boss fights. With a few small tweaks she could fix that though. Some points in mitigation and a few other things would set her right up for PvP. To tell the truth she hadn't payed much attention to the name, only the news that now she would be having even more competition in the hunt for the Duelist unique. It was just more motivation for her to become stronger. She couldn't let him beat her to the skill, because she knew what would happen if he did. People with unique skills were always extremely overpowered, and basically impossible to beat in duels, so once someone got it was pretty much theirs to keep. It wasn't long before she came across a group of small ice elementals. With a single horizontal slash her blade cut through all of them, causing them to burst into blue and green crystals. There were four materials. She doubted that this sort of luck would occur again, so she was happy for the moment, but didn't expect much for the future. ID# 40074 results: Battle: 5 (+4)=9 Hit! Did her eyes deceive her? It didn't look that way. Another group of ice elementals were standing around a ways away. Manta charged, sprinting through the trees and slicing through them all with one attack. Once by one they burst into pixels. It was incredible luck, the amount of materials she already had. A few meters away from the elementals she had just killed were another group. They hadn't noticed her yet, so she let out a war cry and charged forwards, slashing through them. Unsurprisingly they all died. This was incredible luck, more luck Than Manta had had in a long time. Well, deserted her for the first time. He appeared to have done it again. She wasn't so upset this time, having been prepared for the possibility, but before she had been extremely distressed. It had changed her, both for the better and for the worse. She no longer hid behind a false smile, but she'd had a lot of trouble trusting anyone for a while after that. She continued to walk until she heard growling coming from the bushes on either side of her. She jumped back as four scrawny grey wolves pounced at her in tandem She easily dodged and slashed her blade across the enemies. Moments later the wolves burst into pixels. She raised her rapier and slashed, her blade slicing through the group and causing them all to burst into pixels. She had almost the entire floor mapped out, so she wouldn't have any trouble getting back to Snowfrost Town. She walked slowly, almost strolling. She wasn't in any sort of rush, as she already had more materials than she ever expected to get on this single hunt. She smiled, looking around and enjoying the calm of the forest. This was the second time this had happened, and she wanted it to be the last. She couldn't keep doing this. She glanced down at the engagement ring on her finger sadly. Granted he was extremely hard to find, so it might actually come to that. If she didn't hear from him within a month she was getting one of those mailbox items and sending him the ring back. If she came across any mobs she would fight them, but until then she would enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest. It was strange to think that all of this wasn't real. It was just an environment set up by a videogame. She smiled to herself. There really wasn't all that much that was different about this game from real life. She continued her stroll right up until she reached another group of ice elementals. She activated her sword art again, and slashed through the group, garnering herself another four materials. The forest was quite large, and hopefully would have a lot more ice elementals and wolves that she could fight for materials. The other members of the clearing party needed safeguard potions, and once she got these materials she would finally have enough to do her crafting for the day. The unique items were given to those who were the best. SHe believed there was healing, damage taking, and damage dealing. She could already say who would get the damage dealing and damage taking ones. Healing... Well, that was a bit more ambiguous. It was probably time to head back. She swiped her hud away and turned towards Snowfrost town. On th way back she ran across another group of ice elementals. Her blade glowed red, and she slashed through the group, collecting the materials and continuing on back towards the town. ID# 40143 results: Battle: 10 Hit! She activated her sword art and slashed through them before continuing on back towards the town. She needed to get back and do some crafting now that she had the materials she needed to do so.
