Lessa 1 Posted December 15, 2015 Author #21 Share Posted December 15, 2015 The blonde's face fell as she listened to Celes speak. Patiently, she waited until the girl had said her bit, understanding how important it was that she get it all off her chest. But then, Lessa leapt in to counter some of the things that had been said. She unequipped her gauntlets with a few waves of her hand. "Celes," she began slowly, reaching out to place a single, bare hand on the girl's shoulder. "You shouldn't be beating yourself up over that. Even if you had stayed, I wouldn't have been here. I left too. I had to." Though her eyes flashed with muted pain, she fought to keep a small, reassuring smile on her lips. "I couldn't live with the ghosts." With a careful squeeze of Celes' shoulder, she added, "you're a wonderful person. And maybe we can both make it up to each other by sticking around from now on. Would that be alright?" She accepted the flower that the brunette had offered her, and tucked it behind her ear, carefully situating it against her heavy hair. "I do like this floor so far," she concluded. "Good memories here."
