Klick was browsing the boards when he came across a note about some pendant inside the Forest of Wavering Mist. Klick remember the one blade on his wall of trophy. He needed more trophies so what better way then to do a new quest. Klick called to Ping who was up eating some cheese. She flew over to him excited to go on a new adventure. Klick grabbed his new weapon which he bought from this new blacksmith shop he found, Lunar Quill. Though it was not a Spear, it allowed him to use his shield, Embargo. Holding the two, he felt so right. He was a true tank again. Now he needed some armor. Normally he would go with Diplomacy, but his shield already matched those stats. All that left him with was his Deflective Gauntlets. Recently he leveled up and his armor Stat was really high. He did not need the bonus armor stats but at least he was armor less. Then he looked through his shop for any good meals he could take. He forgot that it has been a while since he stocked up on good. He saw some White wine which gave some decent damage. He did not mind evasion debuff because he could take a hit. After all, he was going to a low level floor, what was the worst that could happen. At last, he was ready and the duo headed out.

Klick and Ping arrived in front of the Forest of Wavering Mist. The sounds of souls screaming in pain and agony really made the place feel welcome, if you were really into that kind of stuff. Ping held on to Klick's hair tightly flinch at every other scream. Klick shook his head. This was a low level area. He honestly feared nothing here. In fact, if he had a one hand assault spear, he would fight everything that moved. fortunate for all the low level mobs in the forest, Klick did not have such a weapon of mass destruction. Even if he did, he did not have the time to use it. He had to get stronger now but more important then that. He needed that pendent for his wall. Trophies bring in customers ya know.

Klick warned Ping if she did not stop, he was going to find something scary to fight. This pain from her constant pulling was not acceptable for this low level of threat. Maybe if he was 5 levels weaker but this was really ridiculous. She ringed but let go of his hair. Then she flew into his chest plate and hanged just under the hold for his head. This was much more acceptable. It was not painful and that was what mattered. He could not believe she was scared. If was not worried about her annoying him more he would slap his forehead and really have a talk. At last he was on a quest, and needed that trophy.

Klick marched through the screaming forest with a sense of purpose. Had really care, he would noticed the walls of dead trees, the carefully tended pathways, the occasional bone or two speckled in the surroundings. Ping noticed them all, ringing every time she came across one. Klick sighed, he was starting to feel bad for scolding her. He did not regret making her stop pulling his hair, but he did feel bad for being mad at her for being scared. To be honest, this was a grim place. It was nothing like the dark wolf infested forest from which she came. So he stopped and apologized for his behavior.

They continued to walk and walk and walk. Ping was tried to be more brave but she still stayed hidden inside of Klick's breastplate. She was not screaming as much though. Klick was watching as the road tended to fork off into many different paths. He would take one and then another one and then ended up where he started. Other paths would take him to dead ends. Finally he stopped and sat down against a tree. He hated to admit it but he was lost. This place was a maze, and not one of those fun ones where the exit was there when you needed it.

Klick looked at the trees. He wondered if he could smash through it with his hulk strength. He got up and pulled out Lunar quill. Then he stabbed the tree. Nothing happened. He slashed it with some made up sword art but nothing happened. He stopped attacking it hoping the tree would thank him and open up. Ok He did not think that but he did pause for a moment and it is the pause that counts. Despite the pause for whatever reason, nothing happened. Klick walked away and nothing happened. He returned because he has been walking in circles and nothing happened.

Klick continued walking for what seemed like ages now. Translation into video game time, 5 minutes... roughly. He was getting really sick of the place already. There was absolutely nothing here. Not even a stupid mob to run away from or fight. Yea he probably would fight it. Just being honest. It was quiet, except for the constant screaming. About that screaming too... well he will analyze on a that later thought bubble, path, time, thingy. Thought thingy it is. He will analyze that on a later thought thingy. Anyway the point is that there was nothing around, nothing to do, and worst nothing happened.

The screaming continued for ever. It would start off soft with one or two souls in agony but then another soul would suffer. After about five to seven suffering souls, one would cry out, overshadowing the others. The piercing cry would send chills down Klick's back and cause Ping to hide deep in the breastplate and ring. This was the twentieth or maybe fiftieth time. He lost track after the second time. It was so overdone. If this is what the game thought was scary then he would have no problems leading the charge into some of the more darker levels. After all, he was an American Hero and Heroes come back.

Route after route, Klick and ping moved through the maze. Without a plan, they trial and error their way through the fork roads and spiraling dead ends. They would pass by the place where Klick tried to cut his way though. Just wanted to point out that nothing happened. Eventually they discovered new paths, new forks, and new spiraling dead ends. They slowly were progressing to the center, slowly getting use to the constant screaming, constantly caring less and less about the quest. Despite the slowness they eventually they would discover what they were looking for.

Finally after 30 minutes of wandering and ignoring the screaming, they finally reached the center of the maze. In the center was a platform. There was a smaller platform on top of that platform. ON top of that platform was another even smaller platform. Over that platform was... a floating pendent. It had a tiny chain with alternating gold and sliver links. The main part of the pendent was the head of two bulls. One had ruby horns while the other had sapphire horns. the bulls face was bronze and the nose ring was green emerald. It was so pretty as it floated in a light.

Klick grabbed the pendent and took a closer look at it. It was truly a remarkable peace of work and he could not wait to put it on his wall. Suddenly the ground shook, throwing Klick on his butt. Ping flew out looking for an enemy. Klick sat on his butt rubbing his head because it hit the ground pretty hard. Then a soul screamed and Ping darted back into Klick knocking him back onto the ground while hugging his face. Klick peeled ping off and placed her in his breast plate armor. He told her it was safe there and she did not need to come out until he ran into a mob.

Klick entered the maze again. He more or less understood his way back and getting lost less. On his mind he wondered why this quest was so easy. Granted he knew it was a lower level floor but nothing happened at all. As he made it 3/4 the way out, he heard a roar. It sounded like a bull. Klick grinned now that he knew a boss was approaching. He felt his gift was earned way to easily and he wanted to break a sweat and his new weapon in anyway. With that he started running to the exit and downed the White Wine sample. When he got there he saw a Giant Minotaur with a giant axe. The battle was on.

Klick walked up stage pulling out his Lunar Quill and Embargo. Ping saw her cue and flew out hovering over, but still close to, Klick. The minotaur Waved his axe around and slammed it into the ground. Then he mooed with the force of a thousand cows. It was moo to be reckoned with. Klick made a joke stating that the cow was the one who needed to moooove out the way but he still wanted to kill it. It was time for beef and milk and cookies and blood and exercise. The bull Picked up its axe and it charged at Klick with the force of 1 minotaur. Yep we went there.

The bull charged and slammed into Klicks shield. Then it swung its axe which through klick back 2 feet. Klick Grinned as he got up. Ping charged forward punching the boss in the face and hiding Klick's Lunge. Klick stabbed the boss in both legs and jumped back.

The Minotaur fell on one knee and dropped his axe. This put him at eye level with Klick and Klick loved being at eye level with creatures he is about to destroy. The thing was very very weak seeing how much hp he could chunk away with one attack. Now granted half of that was just the reflection from his shield but it still was a lot. This probably was going to be one of the easy fights he was going to partake in. Klick Raised Lunar quill and prepped for his next attack.

Ping and Klick unleashed a barrage of blows striking all the fleshy soft spots on the bulls face. Then Klick moved to the sides and sliced both of its legs again.

The Minotaur cried in pain. It tried to grab its axe but the sharp pain in its face kept its hands covering the wounds. In fact the Minotaur fell over to the ground and rolled back and forth on the ground. To be honest, Klick and Ping could run away but this was too fun. Klick was unleashing his pent up stress and Ping got to punish the bull for scaring her. Though the bull was not the one making the screaming noises of the souls but dont tell her that. She is doing a good job right now.

Ping went in for another punch but the Minotaur blocked it with his hand. Then Klick charged at it but it pulled up its weapon and blocked him.

Klick was pushed back after the axe made contact with his sword. The minotaur grabbed Ping and roared. Then it got up on its feet and started thrashing. Klick gritted his teeth as he watch Ping struggle to get out. He had to do something quick or she might get crushed. Klick Called out to the Minotaur in hopes of getting its attention. Klick had a plan, though it involved leaving his self more open to damage. Ha, what was he worried about, he was regening more hp then the boss could take away.

The Boss charged him again, slamming against his shield. Then he swung his axe. Klick took the blow and then cut the creatures arm which freed Ping who kicked the creature in the face and knocked it off of Klick

Klick remembered (more like I remembered because i keep forgetting i have the stupid skill) that he had the ability to focus because of the concentration skill. He used it. Now he was super aware that he was fighting a minotaur. Yep that all it did. BUT he could see where to attack, which he could always do. But now he could have a better chance to hit the darn thing. Also now that Ping was safe. He could take more risk.

The bull charged and slammed against Klick's shield. Then it swung and stabbed Klick. Ping flew up and punched the minotaur in the stomach which made him drop his axe. Klick pulled the axe out of him and tossed it away. Then he dashed at the minotaur and unleash an wooping one hit combo. It was deadly strong and thus Killed the beast.

Klick dropped his current crappy Breast plate and equipped his new Bull's plate. It was very fancy for sure. Ping flew around it and then flew behind the plate which extended to his neck. It was a nice place to ride. Klick smiled happy that she did not go for his hair. Then she fell asleep, pretty fast. Klick burst out laughing. She was just terrified a few minutes ago and now that they beat the boss she could sleep peacefully again. This was the Ping he knew and was glad to have by his side. Well the quest was now done and Klick was ready to head on home.

Klick left the forest and all the screaming souls. One day he would not return. One day he would not try to save the souls. In fact he did not care for either. if he came back, it would be to help some newbie but that might be some time. Right now he had to get stronger. He had to press on and be the American Hero he was meant to be. He had to find some sunglasses because after coming out of a dark forest, ones eyes have to readjust to the now bright sun. It burned his eyes and he would have lost like 2 hp. However because of his Traveler skill, he took no damage. Yay traveler skill.

Klick entered his shop which was now open. It was nice to see the everything all new and improved. In fact instead of going straight to bed like he is use too. He decided to cook something up. He got into his Civilian clothes and started up the stove. The flame was on low and he pot was clean. Ping chimed and she watched Klick work his magic from her chair. Klick threw some carrots and some brew along with a slab of beef. then he did cooking stuff because i don't really cook cause it is hard. Anyway it was finished and now it was time to eat. BOTTOMS UP
