So quickly had their ranks been culled.  While they were still the superior force as far as numbers were concerned, that advantage had been swiftly cut in half by an expert use of a Sword Art and the punishing pain of his reflective thorns.  Now, all that was left was to finish off the remainder of the pack and head back into town.  Ishida lacked the energy to do a Sword Art, which was one of the sure fire ways he would normally take care of a weakened group of mobs, but that wasn't an option at the moment.

It was always problematic when this happened but he needed to pause and recover his missing energy while allowing his enemies free attacks at him without much retribution.

And attack they certainly did.  They weren't particularly happy that their pack had been so easily lessened and did their best to make sure he felt the pain.  Like the beasts they were, they dove on him all at once and clamped down their steel jaws into his armor, hanging on for dear life as he tried his best to throw them off.  His armor illuminated with a faint green color as his regeneration took precedence and began to heal the damage they had caused.

Ishida was so close to the town.  He just wanted to be done with this adventure and drinking down a nice, toasty lager by a well-cared for fire.  If this kept up, it was likely that wasn't going to happen any time soon.  He still required at least one more energy to perform another Sword Art so he would be sitting this round of combat out again. What a bummer.  All he could do was bolster and hope the wolves didn't cause him any significant harm.

The wolves kept up their vicious onslaught.  They continued biting as they were before but this time, they weren't quite as effective as debilitating his armor.  As soon as they came in for the bite this time, they were thwarted by the thorny resistance of his finely crafted gear.  It must have been a terrible existence as a mob, being compelled to attack knowing that you were more than likely going to obliterate yourself.  Ishida couldn't complain though; even if they did damage him, more often than not, his regeneration was there to heal him right back up.

He was friggin' invincible.

The boy wonder picked up the materials and col dropped by the wolves and deposited them promptly into his inventory.  Wasting no more time, especially because he didn't want another mob spawn to catch him, Ishida raced through the snow, over the small hill, and right into Snowfrost Town and the safety it provided behind its invisible walls.  Reviewing over all the loot he accumulated through his outing as he walked, he was thoroughly satisfied with how things turned out.  There were points where he wished he was more effective but you couldn't argue with the results.

There was going to be a round of drinks on him tonight!
