Real Name: Rook Merse

History: Rook came from your normal, average family. That is until his parents split up when he was only three years old. Not only has this left him heartbroken, but it also started a long custody war between his mother and father. After months of arguing in and out of court, he was decidedly put in to a foster home. He was repeatedly put in to new homes then pulled out due to his foster parent's complains about him. In his defense however, almost every home he was put in offered some form of abuse toward him. So he would simply act out until he was kicked out again and again. Finally, when he turned sixteen, he was put in to a home where his new parents actually cared for him. They were patient, kind, and loving of him as if he were their own. They even bought him a virtual helmet! Unfortunately for them, the first thing he bought for it was Sword Art Online.

About: Rook has grown to become an outcast due to his many different experiences with such crappy excuses for humans. So he decided to keep his mouth shut until absolutely needed and to simply stay as far away from people as possible. Even though he looks reserved and rarely speaks to anyone, he still cares deeply for those that bother to try to get to know him. Everyone else, though, is nothing more that an enemy in his eyes.

Virtues:

Caring- Even though he has been tormented numerous times, he understands that not all people are bad. When someone's actions prove them to be worthy of his trust, he will give an arm and a leg to make sure they stay safe, even if it costs him his life. He was even known throughout his foster home to beat people when they try to pick on others that are smaller or weaker than them.

Merciful- Despite his seemingly cold nature, he never picks a fight he knows he can win. He's seen too many cases where a bigger person has tried to beat a littler person in to submission. He always hated this and vowed to never stoop so low as to attack someone that is weaker than him or to attack an enemy that is weakened.

Moral- He was taught very early on to follow his instincts and to always do the right thing no matter who's watching. This has lead him not only to create strong morals, but also to let those morals lead his decisions in any way that he can. It's the only thing that keeps him sane half the time.

Vices:

 Unstable- When his morals fail, he finds his sanity completely sapped. This leaves him completely insane and completely irrational to any and all logical thought. In this state, he can easily destroy any relationship he has created and be reduced to the bully that he has vowed to never become.

Overthinking- While some people consider thinking before acting a blessing, it's a curse for him. He ends up thinking to much about a situation, sometimes to the point he becomes overwhelmed. His thinking also causes him to hesitate with that final blow to finish off another player.  If he ever has to fight, the only time he kills another player is when adrenaline is rushing through him.

Socially Awkward- Due to him moving from place to place with almost no friends in his entire lifetime, he isn't as social as his peers tend to be. It's so bad that he only understands major expressions of emotion. Any other smaller showing of emotion goes completely over his head. This can range from small sighs to sarcasm.

Relationships: He is alone. No one has even made an attempt to get close to him until recently. That's fine with him though. All he needs is him and his thoughts.
