His explorations had revealed much of the consistency of the floor, it's myriad of traps and treasures. When he returned, possibly soon or in the future, he would be well prepared for what may come. Cresting a raised smattering of trees, Brax was able to get an unobstructed view of the Amazon in all it's glory. He could see for many miles in several directions. Brax 0 Posted February 6, 2016 Author #22 Report Share Posted February 6, 2016 (edited) Kayaba's engineering team had decorated the landscape far beyond just simple jungle and rain forest pieces. They had also installed many stone ruins, what appeared to be ancient temples of impeccable design. The information brokers had messaged on their boards that there were new sub-dungeons to be found from the 5th floor on up, and those ruins...were a perfect hiding place to peruse in order to find some. Brax 0 Posted February 6, 2016 Author #23 Report Share Posted February 6, 2016 (edited) ID 47446 LD 1 A quick look at the map in his inventory was all it took to retrace his steps accurately, and soon Brax was almost back to Amazon proper. The humid jungle had proven most opportunistic during his trip here, and he knew that once he had leveled up some more he would return to check on those ruins, to see if they indeed held such treasures and EXP as he would need to advance. Unfortunately, his luck was...not as good when it came to his material gatherings, as many of the plants were...unsuitable in one way or another as crafting supplies. Larger than your average chimpanzee, these orange beasts, labeled as Orangutans by the Cardinal System, accosted him as he walked the path back to Amazon. Throwing rocks and other debris to knock him off the well-worn road, their hooting and hollering echoed above as they swung from tree to tree, and into his eyeline to physically assault him with their brutish strength. But, Brax was ready for their untimely assault, for they could not know that as he listened to their movements and dodged their attacks, that he was instead driving them to where he needed them to go, in order to catch them with his Explode Catapult. Once they had gathered together in a tight knit group, hanging from a nearby tree to taunt the stalwart stoic he struck, slicing down the tree and throwing the apes to the ground. And as they recovered, he slammed his axe down amongst them, the shock of the attack causing them to explode in spectacular fashion. The impromptu battle over, Brax sheathed his axe and continued to town, ready for rest...and perhaps, another floor to explore. +4 materials Summary 400 col + 1 SP + 4 Carrot Tabs + 28 materials + 3900 col THREAD COMPLETE!
