[PP:F7] Not She [Lawfer] [Complete]

Recommended Posts

Opal felt the weight of the shirt hit her toes as she had nearly fallen asleep. The hour was late and the potion she had taken was taking effect of her mental state. Lazily she got up and covered herself, the bare exposed flesh was nipped by the cold draft inside the house as she gripped the shirt and slung it over her head. The fabric was warm and it was much like the turtleneck she had. The only difference between the two...it smelled like him.

"Thank you," her voice was soft, almost as if traveled with the fragility of a whisper in the air, so easily could the sounds be crushed. Then his words shattered her like glass, she sat frozen for a moment and looked at him. She was just about to fall asleep too, but her eyes could not be taken off the man. She sighed and nodded to herself, slipping her feet back through the warmth of her sleeping bag. Her head fell towards the thin pillow and blinked several times very slowly, "Mmm...goodnight...Lawf...." and almost instantly the female had clocked out for sleep. The sound of pouring rain was the only thing produced from her ears and the crackle of the fire next to her. There was no other noise as she slept, slept to the world as if she were buried. Then there was the slightest of noises, the woman awoke to crackle of the fire, "Lawfer...maybe Just Tonight... you can keep me warm...Lawfer?" the woman sat up, her head dizzy and her vision blurred. She squinted her eyes and looked around, the spearman had left?

"Where did he go?" Opal's eyes once more fell heavy, the drug like potion taking on a stronger effect and putting her to sleep once more. Morning had come rather quickly, her sleep was as if she never slept at all, eyes burned from the sensation of the sunlight trickling through like a hot dagger through her eyes. She placed her hands over her eyes and flipped over in her small bed. The rain had stopped and the fire had died completely.

There was however a message left for her, "When did I get this? Lawfer...?" she asked around, forgetting he might have slipped out in the night. But she was too much under the influence to remember what she had said or did. She felt slightly guilty, did she sleep with him? The night almost felt unreal. She read the message out loud, it was indeed from the man himself. She sighed and knew it was not what she had thought them to have done. Although his words...his words gripped her soul, so much it hurt. Was she with the right man?
