About: History/personality

Red's childhood was mostly spent making happy memories with his mother, father, and 4 sisters on a mountain. He spent most of his time there gazing out over the city near his little secluded home, wondering what children there were doing. Going to school with other children, playing little games with each other. Being raised on a mountainside secluded from the town was bad enough for his social development, but the only kids his age being girls made it worse. Sure, he had no problem with it when he was 4, but when he was 14, he found it to be hell. Being around only 6 people your entire life can make you a little crazy, but when 4 of them are girls your age and you're going through the train ride of puberty, stuff can take you. Somehow, perhaps through willpower and morals alone, he kept himself from becoming a little too intimate with them. And, when he was 16, his parents finally decided that opening up a little might be a good idea. Red was excited and felt like he was about to burst from it, until his first day in school. When he showed up, he realized he that while he had extensive knowledge through various books collected by his hermit parents, he had no idea how to talk to people. Some of the other boys attempted to reach out and become friends with him. He nervously agreed, thinking this might be his one chance to make friends. "Alright, we're thinking about saving up together to buy some NerveGear--A headset that lets you play video games with your body-- and a game called Sundrop Online."((Note; Made up game released the year before Aincrad online)) He pondered the thought. He had some work to get through tonight but it sounded like fun, and online communication might be something to help with his social anxiety. "Alright... sounds like fun." He had said, earning grins from his new-found pals. Although his parents had been completely unsupportive of new technology, they begrudgingly agreed to getting a subscription to a cable company for internet service. Red went out first thing after his first day of school to find a job so he could pitch in on the payment to the boys' NerveGear rigs. He found a restaurant looking for hard-working employees. He was able to do everything asked of him and more, staying a little later to help his boss with some heavy lifting (and doing everything with a smile on his face). This earned him a decent amount of money and after some consideration with his boss's higher-ups, a quick promotion. His coworkers were glad to see a hardworking pair of hands pitching in, reducing their workload by miles. After about a week of working, he had managed to get enough money to pay his share and a little extra. After calibrating everything he went into Sundrop Online and met up with his friends. After doing a few beginner missions, everyone there was immediately hooked, and Red was able to open up a bit more. Everyday, studying hard and working hard, easily moving through his classes and earning his pay at work. Every night, gaming hard with his friends, stopping every night at about 9:00 so he could stay focused during his classes. Occasionally during his 16 year-old life, he came down with the occasional cold or flu, staying home for the day and playing Sundrop, as NerveGear rested his entire body during play and cutting off his senses in the real world, allowing him to escape from his sickness. He would take breaks every few hours to eat and allow his mind some rest as well. As soon as his friends logged in, they went over to him to let him know about what he missed in his classes and to ask if he was alright. He'd say that he'd been feeling a little better each time he logged out. Eventually the sickness would break and he'd return to school the next morning, picking up whatever he missed and continuing where he'd left off. Then coming in to work after school and doing his usual work (albeit more slowly to ensure his body some rest after fighting the disease off) then returning to his usual schedule. His 16-year old life came and passed, and was, of course, immediately followed by his 17-year old life, which brings us ever closer to the current state of events. For his 17th birthday, he received some games for his NerveGear. He had got what he'd wanted, and now looked at the news for more. He found a new game to be released next month, Aincrad Online. He talked with his friends and they agreed to save for it. The release for Aincrad came around, they all got together at the store and bought it.  They logged in later that day and partied up. Eventually, the system summons them all to the town center. The GM states the laws of Aincrad and what is happening. After being changed into his real life body, he looks around for his friends. He realizes they've all vanished. He realizes that their parents or siblings must have taken the NerveGear off. His story begins.

Virtues:

<<Intelligent>>: Red has gained an extensive knowledge along his studies. While most knowledge wouldn't help him in the game, it does give him the ability to give interesting tidbits about certain things.

<<Hard Worker>>: Red has an abnormally strong sense of determination to stay alive and fight to escape.

<<Friendly>>: While he may try to seclude himself from everyone, Red is well meaning at heart. He tries to be nice, in his own, awkward way.

Flaws:

<<Shy>>: Red(as previously mentioned) has a crippling shyness. He normally won't open up (or even try to speak) to people. He however will listen and help in anyway he can.

<<Lonely>>: Red's one wish in his life is to have friends. After losing his old friends, grief still has him. He'll try to hold it in, but he really just wants a shoulder to cry on which he doesn't have.

<<Reckless>>: Red is willing to sacrifice his life if more lives are at risk. He'll fight to the very end to save other people, hopefully making it out of whatever danger is in the way. However, he's reckless, not stupid, he won't sacrifice himself if there's a more viable option readily available, like possibly escaping.

Denied. The nervegear was at the same time as (Sword Art Online. Not Aincrad Online.) because Kayaba made both. And you need to elaborate on Hard-working. Also the only ones that had it earlier than the release date were the Beta Testers. Alsom, your username must reflect your forum username (Both have to be Red-Kun)
