[PP-F4] Need to be stronger. <<Essence of Steel>> (with a few people, they know who they are)

Shivering, even under the heavy white coat and NPC had gifted her Hunie cursed her decision to go through with this plan. The blonde had heard talk about a quest that improved equipment and one could never be too prepared in SAO. She yawned, as she trudged through the frosty floor trying to acquire this quest.  Why did it have to be on this floor? She thought, it was probably the most unpleasant floor she had spent time on, with floor thirteen being a close second, thanks to all the death that surrounded it.

So much to do and such... well there was enough time too, it was getting more and more apparent everyday that, no one was any closer to finding Kayaba or rescuing everyone from this game in the real world. So, there was a lot to do, but she did have enough time to meet her goals. Except for the one and only thing that seemed to be closing in on her, that stalker. If she didn't have him as a problem, posing threats everyday, she'd probably sit back and relax, enjoying the beauty and solace taking her own sweet time to climb to the top of the game.

Hunie was no warrior, although in any given situation she would always help whoever she could... Even if it meant putting her life at stake, but that was an instantaneous reaction. Hunie wasn't the kind who would go fight a war, the way the Frontliners did, to assure the safety of the others, there was a different breed of people for that. This world had a lot to offer, apart from the fear it instilled about death and Hunie wanted to reap all that. But apparently someone didn't want the blonde to have fun and so here she was, battling the cold in hope to be more prepared when that guy made his move...

She tried to keep her eyes peeled, although the kept squinting thanks to the bits of snow dust flowing into them. Through the dense cold mist, she noticed a figure of someone in the distance, a figure that seemed to be approaching. Could it be? Could it be that guy again. She wanted to cover her ears so she didn't have to hear any more filth he had in his head, but in self-defense her hand immediately went to the hilt of the longsword Ssendom had gifted to her. "Wh-Who's th-there?" She said, stuttering a little because of fear and a lot because of the cold...

  • 4 weeks later...

He had walked miles in the snow. Up the mountain and into the blizzard that raged just where the landmark evened out. With his hood pulled up over his head and collar extended to shield his face even more from the whipping winds, Jomei stared outwards at the faded silhouette of a large castle. The castle was all too familiar to him, for it was where he and Lowenthal had rescued Piera and Lee only a few weeks earlier. It was where Jomei had... He clamped his eyes shut and shook his head. This was not what he needed, a reminder of what had gone down. He needed to think of something else. After making sure no one had noticed him, he turned around and quickly made his way back down the mountain.

The weather at the bottom was a lot calmer. Snow still fell, and the air still bit at his cheeks, but he was not worried about it. Shoving his hands into the pockets of his pants, Jomei let out a quick sharp whistle, calling his small owl companion to his side. As she perched on his shoulder, Jomei trekked forward through the ankle deep snow back towards the tiny town of Snowfrost.

As he felt himself getting closer, he saw a figure off in the distance. A curious man raised one of his eyebrows, but continued forward. Because of the snow falling, the image was quite blurred, so he could not tell just who it was. Closer and closer he got to it, with the intention of just to walk straight by and to the city. However, the sound he heard caused him to not do so. Scraping metal, of a large blade being pulled from a scabbard, filled the air, followed by a frightened woman's voice. Jomei let out the small breath he was holding, the fog pouring from his lips. Jomei continued forward to where the blonde woman was standing, a longsword pointed right at Jomei. Taking one hand out of his pocket, the Irishman placed his finger on the tip of the blade, lowering it. "Easy, lass. You might poke someone's eye out.. I'm no threat to you." Once her sword was away from Jomei's face. He placed his hand back into his pocket.
