[PP-F2] Who turned the lights off? <<Let there be light>>

Recommended Posts

Xion sighed as he looked through his Quest log, he had accepted the quest called <<Let there be light>> which was an easy enough quest meant for beginners, but he had never gotten around to actually doing. The rewards weren't anything to scream about, some col and a small amount of XP. "At least it involves fighting...non-combat quests are a drag" the tank said to himself as he walked towards the location on the map which had been marked by the quest.

As Xion approached the cave he felt slightly anxious, even though he knew that nothing in the cave could hurt, let alone kill him. But for some reason he still felt a primal, uncontrollable fear. Breathing in deeply, the tank entered the cave, his eyes useless but he could hear everything all too well, the rolling of every stone, the scraping of claws somewhere in the cave.

It wasn't long before he came across two <<Giant bats>> which were blocking his path, and didn't seem happy. "Well...I won't be sleeping tonight" he said to himself before equipping his spear and shield, Quickly lashing out with the former at the bats but to no avail, he wasn't able to see in the darkness. Luckily, or unluckily depending on your opinion the two bats missed too, meaning that not damage was dealt overall.

Xion gritted his teeth as he tried to track the silhouettes of the bats in the darkness, all that he could see was the occasional flapping of their wings or their eyes glinting slightly. He tried to attack, thrusting with his spear but missing once more, and the counter attack of the bats was equally unsuccessful, both parties missing their marks completely. "I can tell that this is going to be a long quest..." the tank mumbled, if he was missing but the bats weren't then he would have been fine, as his thorns would kill them eventually, but every single attack mnissing on both sides? This battle was going to drag on.

Xion sighed, he was getting tired of this, attacking over and over again but missing every time, even his enemies couldn't hit him and punch themselves to death effectively. "Just die already!" he shouted before angrily lashing out with his spear but missing once more, his enemies however managed to find their mark, their claws and teeth scratching against his armour, dealing minimal damage but not activating his thorns. "So the buggers managed to crit..." the tank said, becoming increasingly frustrated.

Xion sighed as he watched his energy and health steadily deplete, the latter being of no concern but the former was very important, without energy he couldn't attack and the fight would drag longer than it needed to, and the tank didn't want that. He wanted to get what he needed to do done, grab the kid and leave the cave. So he tried to attack again, this time activating his <<Maiming blow"" Sword art, his spear glowing a brilliant gold as he swung it around in a wide arc, striking both of the bats which were unable to attack back, scratching wildly at the air.

The young tank grinned, maybe the fight would not take so long after all, as long as he can keep that up, which he knew he couldn't. Either way if his opponents attacked him he knew that he would be taking less damage than them due to his MIT and their low damage, but both parties were having a hard time landing any substantial blows. Xion lashed out again, missing as his spear scraped by one of the bats, the two flying beasts scratching at thin air, unable to find their mark.

Xion took a second to hit the side of the cave with his shield in order to vent his frustration. "Call me sir-mother-[censored]-missalot god damnit" he said before thrusting with his weapon once more, missing, and surpirse bloody surprise guess what the best did? BLOODY MISS. "CARDINAL I WILL STAB YOU WITH A [censored] TEASPOON I SWEAR" the tank yelled, how the hell was he managing to miss two bloody bats?

Xion sighed as the fight continued, half heartedly thrusting with his spear, missing as expected. "Why does cardinal hate me?" he asked as the bats followed his example, missing their attacks. The battle was a mess, it was just two opposing sides missing and missing AND BLOODY MISSING. ' I swear a blind person could hit these bats more than I'm bloody hitting them..." he said as he watched his yellow en bar deplete, all he needed was for the bats to hit him and the fight would be over quickly.

Xion grunted in frustration as he kept on missing, he didn't even need to hit the bats to kill them but he needed to be hit to deal any significant damage. The tank sighed and lashed out once more, one of the bats knocking his spear to the side with their claws before attacking him, scratching against his shield as he held t up, the flying creatures being punished by his thorns.

As the fight wore on both parties became tired, Xion couldn't see because of the darkness in the caves and he could tell that the bats were performing poorly for one reason or another. The tank sighed, thrusting with his spear, weary and unfocused he missed completely, and so did the bats. As he did he watched his EN drain to a sliver, he no longer had enough for sword arts. "Damn..."

As he watched the silhouettes of his enemies dance in the darkness Xion cursed under his breath "Why...why did it have to be in here?" he said, before trying to focus on one of the bats. As he began to attack, his arm reeling back and winding up for a strike his spear began to spark, and when he struck the beast, the twin heads of his spea skewering it electricity surged into the creature, causing it to fall to the ground. The tank didn't even care as the other one attacked him, bypassing his thorns.

As the tank watched the paralysed bat twitch on the ground he smiled. "I'm getting there" he muttered to himself before focusing on the mobile bat, it was going beserk, flying around the cave, probably shocked by Xion's paralysis. With a sigh the tank thrust his spear at the creature, missing. "Tch, damn thing" he said before the bat attacked him back, somehow bypassing his thorns once more
