[PP-F5] Desert Delight <<Blood in the Sand>> (Xion)

Recommended Posts

Allania had heard from an information on a lower floor about a creature that dwelled within the desert of the fifth floor, one that just swam through the sand. From what the person had said it was a hidden Field Boss, one that respawned and when killed drops  a powerful concoction. The notion of hunting down this great sand swimmer had intrigued her. Thus Allania had found herself back up on the fifth floor once again. She had been here quite a few times in recent history, for quest and material gathering alike. This time she was here to hunt.

Allania knew that she would not be able to defeat this creature. From the sound of it the creature would simply rip through her armour, killing her in a few quick blows, so shhe had sent a message to the tank Xion to ask for help. He had been going around offering his services as a tank, and so Allania thought, what a better opportunity to hunt this creature and meet someone new?

Allania was stood near the teleporter within the town of Armadillo, waiting for her soon to be companion to arrive.

Xion had been relaxing in his closed forge when he had received a message from a presumed lower levelled player called Allania, requesting his services as a tank. The blonde smiled. "Took long enough after that offer I put up on a bulletin board" he said to himself before getting up, yawning and stretching for a second before equipping his hulking Maelstrom armour set and walking out of the shop and towards the teleport gate on the first floor, command it to take him to floor five.

When he exited the gate the blinding light of floor five's sun hit him instantly, causing the blonde to shield his eyes with his hand, looking around briefly before seeing Allania, while she was lower levelled she seemed to be  older and was taller than the tank. "Are you the one that sent me the message?" he asked., his british accent obvious.

Looking at the player who had just teleported here, who was wearing a hulking set of armour, Allania wondered if this was the person she had messaged. She recognised him instantly. She did not know his name, but there was no doubt, he was that player who had jumped in her way when she was trying to help that masked maniac. Lowering her gaze, Allania hoped that he would not notice her. When he came over and asked if she had sent the message, she continued to look down at the ground, shading her face with a hand, "The one about taking on the sand shark?"  she asked.

Xion nodded. "Yep, I'm assuming you need my help because this thing is nasty for lower levelled players" he said with a chuckle, before sighing and quickly sending the blonde girl a party request. "I know this may be obvious I'll need you to hang back, but only for a little bit as howl is rather good at drawing hate" he said with a smile, it had beena  while sicne he had helped a lower levelled player like this, just him and someone that he could protect.

The tank then quickly went through his menu, equipping the Aegis of the Maelstrom, and striking Maelstrom. She shield and spear in his left and right hands respectively. "Let's get going then"

Nodding in response to his assumption, "I would not live to see the next day" she said honestly. "Yeah, I shall hang back then, I wouldn't want to get in your way while you take its aggro" she said. Looking down at the menu in front of her she clicked to accept the party request. The players name and health bar popping up beneath her own. He seemed to not mind what happened before, so Allania gave up her worry, and looked at him with a smile. "All ready to go".

Xion chuckled at the girl's comment. "That is true...some of these low level field bosses are too harsh in my opinion...they weren't that bad with the old system..." he said, trailing off at the end as he reminisced about times long past. "Anyway" the blonde said, before walking in the direction of armadillo's main gate, beckoning for Allania to follow suit.

After a few minutes they were out in the dunes, sand  being swept up by wind and getting into the tank's face every now and then. "Of all of the floors this is the one that I hate the most...save floor 10. Bloody hate the dark"

"I can deal the ones that are say on floor 1 or 2, but ones all the way up here I have no hope of competing with at the strength I am now. And the old system? I am a more recent addition to this world, so never actually experienced it myself" Allania said, pondering what it would  have been like to have been here with the old system.

Allania followed Xion out of the gate into the dunes, the wind was blowing the sand gently into the air. You could feel it as it scraped gently at your skin, but Allania did not dislike this place. After the first floor this one was her favourite, the place she frequented now-a-days more often that the plains several floors below her. "I love this floor, it reminds me of a beach, just a giant beach" she said, her eyes gazing off into the distance at the plains that rolled out infront of her.
